Best Decision i ever made

hey completed the job in a small amount of time when it was installed. 5 months later I hah Hail damaged and the reinstalled new panels to bring the system back up to par.

Easy, Fast and Professional

I could not be happier. I was hesistant to make the solar investment but once CAM Solar reviewed the ROI, the available rebates and how easy they made financing and working with the city, it was a no brainer. A solar audit was performed and I even had the option to increase the number of panels. Installation was fast and they even accurately estimated my power output and savings.

Excellent sales and service. From the day I inquired about possibly going with solar panels to the day the system was installed they were there to answer any questions and help me out. Highly recommend if you're looking at going solar, you give them a call.

Professional throughout

Everyone at CAM was very professional, and the work they did was top notch. I am very pleased with the overall quality of the project and how every step of the planning and installation was conducted. I do highly recommend them.

Quality work. Courteous staff. Best prices

Title really says it all. From the door to door team all the way through the installation process, my experience was stellar. A couple things I did not fully grasp at the point of sale: 1. The CPS rebate was being paid directly to the solar contractor, not to me. Not a big deal, since that was actually accounted for in the pricing. Just didn't catch that when we went over the price. 2. The after install process was less communicated as to when the panels would be connected to the grid. Could have used a bit more clarity there. Aside from that, I truly enjoyed my experience with them and would certainly recommend to anyone looking for solar to consider CAM.

Outstanding experience

They came cold calling to my door and I was skeptical at first. During discussions with the salesman he was able to walk me through all the key benefits and talk honestly about potential negatives or concerns. In the end the positives far outweigh the negatives for my circumstance

Couldn't be happier

Back in Sept 2015, we started the process of selecting a solar panel company for our home. We met and received quotes from 6 different companies. Five of those quote were either by non-staff sales persons who were working on independent commissions and were obviously padding their quotes or when we did fact-checking with CPS concerning costs, timelines, etc...were proven to be just out-right lying to us. CAM Solar was the only company who provided accurate numbers to us and made no promises that they could not keep. We got our rebate from CPS which was immediately applied to our financing of the system we selected, got the loans for the remainder that we needed and then the install/turn on was very much in line with what CAM Solar staff stated. The actual install on the house itself only took 2-3 days. We did have a couple of issues with wifi connectivity which CAM Solar techs fixed, but that had absolutely no effect on actual solar production. Since then we pretty much carry a credit with CPS year round. Our system even survived a couple of hail storms with no damage.

The best

From the knowledgable sales (Braxton) to the finished product it was a great experience despite a ground rod going thru my drain pipe for my pool in their defense I didn't even know it was there. Simon the install manager was on top of it and kept me in the loop every step of the way on the repairs. He even bought the pool chemicals and are going to pay the water bill. They are simply the best!!!

Discombobulated

After receiving solar panel proposals from 5 vendors, we decided to go with Cam Solar primarily because we liked the salesman, Mr. Kevin Krieger, the product, and the price. Summary: Profound lack of attention to detail, mostly minor things, but they add up. Solar panels have been operational for 8 weeks as of this review, and they seem to work very well when they're not snow-covered! Here are my issues with Cam Solar. 1) The estimated timeline for installation, inspection and full operation was 3-4 months. It took 6 months! The panel installation was completed in mid-october and it took until January 21 to be operational. 2) Panel installation commenced a day earlier than scheduled. We were on vacation and not home. I arranged to have someone come to the house for a few hours, as access to the inside of the house was necessary. It cost me $100 for person to be present. After installation, the county inspector did comment that the work was of high quality. 3) The coordination of final county building inspection was a complete circus. On Nov. 20, I contacted Cam Solar to inquire about final panel inspection. It had been a month since the panels were installed. The Cam Solar rep said the inspection was scheduled for Wednesday. Nov 21, but the inspector had actually arrived on Nov. 20 (we weren't home, he left a note on the door). The Cam Solar rep said we did not need to be home for the inspection on Wednesday, 11/21 (this was incorrect information). I inquired via email as to whether someone from Cam Solar needed to be present; I did not receive a reply. On Wednesday Nov. 21, the Arapahoe inspector arrived but could not complete the inspection. Cam Solar did not show up with the required permit and plans. The inspection had to be rescheduled for the following week. Shortly after, I spoke with Jeff Bunge, head of operations in the Denver branch. He was apologetic about the inspection mess, and to his credit arranged to have a Cam Solar Rep. parked outside our house all day on the day the inspection was rescheduled. 4) When it was time to activate the Micro-inverter system, I notified my Cam Solar rep. and she emailed a video with the operational instructions to turn on the system. She sent them to a junk email address that I had requested they change on at least 4 different occasions. After struggling with the instructions, I learned that she had sent the wrong instructions, or rather instructions for a different system. Once she sent the correct instructions, it was easy to get the system functioning.

CAM Solar was good to work with and they delivered

CAM Solar's installation was later than we expected but they lived up to their promises in every way. We are very happy with having solar and it is working as presented! All their workers were very nice and sales was responsive to our every question or concern. Highly recommend them! Thank you for helping us save$$$ on our energy usage!

Mostly Good Experience

I really enjoyed my initial experience with Cam Solar. Kevin, my sales rep, was responsive and flexible. He was willing to accommodate my request for a phone meeting instead of an in-person meeting, and then he sent over easy-to-read estimates based on a few different scenarios. I preferred Kevin over the 6 other sales reps I talked to from the various companies. He was also willing to match the best other pricing I received and their warranty was excellent, so that was a win-win. We researched the panels themselves and they seem to be of high quality with good yield. The installation process went fairly well, much better than other stories I've heard. It was done within the 3 month window estimated. The panels themselves look good on the roof, although they are definitely not low-profile panels. I wondered why they came standard with a creature-guard netting around them, and now that they are on the roof I know why! There is definitely a gap between the panels and the roof. I still think they look fine, but if flush-mounted panels are important to you keep that in mind. I have one complaint about the company, which is that after the panels were installed all customer service came to a screeching halt. I had to call about turning the panels on (turns out my utility had already done that, thankfully). They did not ever reach out to me again after the install. Then when the monitoring software didn't work it took me weeks and multiple phone calls to get that taken care of. They seemed to have moved on to other customers and kind of forgotten about us. However in the end everything is up and working and the final incentive check back to us was issued as promised, and the system became operational right after install, and the people were always nice and professional when I did reach out to them, so I can't complain too much. No process is without its glitches, right? Overall I would definitely not hesitate to recommend this company.

Amazing

Cord Brown was great with all his work. He came out twice for it and did an amazing job each time. He is very informative about the products and very professional. Angel Casillas worked on my thermostat and did a good job also.

We signed up to have CAM Solar install solar panels on our home. They were clear and informative from start to finish. They were here when they said they’d be here. Installed the panels and cleaned up any mess they made. Very professional. The only waiting time we experienced was waiting on the city inspectors to inspect the work.

Excellent Install Experience

CAM have been very responsive and helpful throughout the process. They worked with us to iterate on the design to meet our needs and concerns and then got it installed and the site cleaned up without any need for us to request anything extra. They have been responsive and professional after the install as well, and totally handled the interactions with the city and the power company.

Excellent Communication throughout Process

I was very pleased with CAM Solar throughout the process from sales through installation. Our sales rep gave us all of the information that we needed and was never pushy. Once we'd signed the paperwork, we worked primarily with an admin who helped keep us informed every step of the way. I knew what to expect and was always able to get a quick response to any questions that I had. The installers were always on time and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend CAM Solar to our neighbors, family, or friends.

Very professional and responsive

I appreciated the entire process. The sales team were courteous and quick to provide complete information and to design the solution based on my needs and the best products and most price effective solution. The installation team were very quick and did a wonderful job. No scraps and nails left behind. The training on the system and what to expect as time goes by. The only item that could have been better was the explanation of how rebates and tax credits would flow. Basically the local power company rebate is automatically applied to the contract price. The Tax credit is simple to enter into the IRS tax return but you need to know what value to use on the form, which is the total sale amount, in my case it was the LoanPal (financing company loan amount). I put $0 down so the loan amount was the figure to use. Otherwise, great service and the purchase should be a no-brainer for everyone. You immediately reap the benefits of lower net utility expense/costs. In my case about $100 p/mo savings.

Cam Solar

The company did a great job at installing and getting everything done. They kept me informed through the whole process. A month in and the system stopped reporting electricity that it was producing. I was informed that the system was still producing electricity but a part went bad. They ordered the part and installed it. Keep in mind during this process they are not informing me of what is going on! I have to call for updates. They replaced the part at my house with out informing me they were coming. The system is still not showing what it is producing, I am told that the issue is with Solar Edge, Yet over a month later and no resolve. I guess they hook you in and get you set up with solar then forget about you, now that they have you hooked.

Great local company

We did our do diligence and we researched this company and two others. They had the best price because we go more back for going local. Their pitch wasn't as dance as the others but the panels produced almost the exact same as the others but as I said, we got more back from CPS and the government for going with a local company. Only slight downfall was the fact if you want to talk to someone live about a problem, you have to leave a message and they call you back. If you choose them, make sure to inquire about the extended warranty for the panels.

Very glad I chose CAM Solar, I had multiple quotes before but they stood out because everyone else seemed like they were just trying to sell me anything and it got confusing but CAM took the time to really explain everything to where I fully understood how all this works and why it makes sense for my situation. The whole process took about 3 months just like they said. Very happy and would recommend again!
