I'm paying more now then I did before solar panels. You would think with $64k in panels I would get better results than 17% of my usage. I do not recommend solar or this company. I feel like I was ripped off. Wish I could return them.

Despite a rough start, the system problems were eventually correctly identified and then corrected. I am grateful that the phone customer service person would take my phone calls and then share them to whomever could best fix my problem. Despite numerous requests, No management person has ever called me. Fred

It's impossible to reach anyone for service. Previously you could email support@wellssolar.com, but that doesn't work. My sales guy never called me back after signing, and it's impossible to reach anyone. Today the phone number and emails are not working. I spent $65,000 two years ago, and I would encourage you to think twice before using this company.

Installed a terrible system that only produces half of what was estimated then went out of business and can't service the product. Great.

My client bought a solar system from Wells Solar after I recommended them. From the start there were scheduling problems. That said. The system did get installed, but had inverter problems almost immediately. To be clear this was most likely a manufacturer issue. That was taken care of after several weeks. Now it appears a battery is faulty according to trouble shooting. At any rate the system has been down for weeks again and Wells offices are closed according to website and my client has called also to no avail. So no warranty work available for now anyway. I hope they get their issues straight. As a personal note. This has certainly strained my relationship with the owner of the property since I referred Wells. Also. I did this as a pass through not asking Wells for referral fee. If anyone has input contact me at (redacted for privacy) Good luck to all.

Please read reviews on other forums. They knowingly took hundreds of thousands of dollars from customers and then closed shop. They tried to charge $1k to transfer a warranty when they knew they were closing down. Absolute FRAUD AND THEIF!

Although it started awesome experience, took several months to get everything fully installed and even had to make 2 full payments before it was fully operational. Now we have been waiting over 6 months to get the generator that was promised upon signing the contract. Called and emailed at least 20 times and still no eta and keep getting we will get back to you. Really dissatisfied

My Wife and I have been very pleased with Wells Solar. It has been a great experience dealing with the Wells Team since June of 2022. The Team has been very professional and committed to the customer. I want to commend Kyle Marshall who is our assigned representative for any questions or issues. He has been responsive and committed. Our system was turned on 27 September 2022. Our October end-of-month bill from Bartlett Electric was $47 dollar. The September bill was $550. So we have seen an instant drop in our electric bill. We have a pedestal mount system with forty-eight 400 watt Tesla solar panels. If you want a Solar System I would highly recommend Wells Solar.

We chose Wells Solar (WS) as they had a slightly better price and financial package. Big mistake. While many of our neighbors had their systems installed by various companies in weeks, WS took months. So many excruciating delays. Best example deals with the two inspections required by the electric company. Once a week our WS Project Manager would email a request for the inspection. After about 3 weeks we finally phoned the Electric Company. Their representative could find no request records from WS. Due to our initiative the inspection was completed in 2 days. When the second inspection was due the exact scenario recurred. This alone accounted for nearly 6 weeks, and no telling how much longer if we hadn’t stepped in. It is our understanding that the financial package had paid WS their entire amount by this stage and unfortunately for us our loan had become active (accruing interest, etc). Maybe this explains their lack of urgency. When the system finally became operational we thought hopefully this is all behind us. No such luck. A little over a year after completion we received a very high electric bill.. Our research discovered that the system was completely inoperative, and apparently had been for some time starting in JULY. It was our understanding that the system was constantly being monitored, and had a long term guarantee promising production output. In our case the system was completely shut down with no notifications to us. We are unaware of any of our neighbors having any issues, but ours was completely out. This raises the issue of the quality/durability of the components they install. We contacted WS to advise them about the failure. The representative that we spoke to appeared to have no knowledge of the failure but promised to get right on it. About a week later we made a second call, advising them of the problem. In a later phone conversation he advised they were waiting for approval, then would order parts. In the MIDDLE of August we received a text advising us of our case number. In LATE August we got an amazing email from them. It stated “ During our daily scans of systems, we came across an issue with your inverter.” The system had apparently failed completely in JULY and in late AUGUST they discovered this in their “daily scans of systems”? No mention of the several previous communications notifying them of the shutdown. In MID SEPTEMBER the repair was finally completed. The repairmen were only here for a short period of time, so obviously it was nothing major. It is hard to imagine that it would take nearly two months to install and inverter. During a large portion of the hottest time of the year our system was completely inoperative. To add salt to the wounds, not only were we paying higher electric bills, but we had to continue making payments for this albatross. This system is supposed to have a guarantee production lever for 25 years. We got no production for an extended time and feel entitled to reimbursement for lost production (at a minimum). It is now the middle of OCTOBER, and despite numerous communications, even that issue has not been addressed. This reflects poorly on their after the fact customer service. WS has a very lucrative referral program. We owned a home building business and are kind of the neighborhood handy man with numerous people seeking our advise. We could have made thousands of dollars by simple referrals, but there is no way we could recommend them to neighbor or friends.

I only give them 2 stars because for the fact that the solar is installed and functioning but I have been waiting since December of 2021 for my battery and I continually keep getting the run around on when they are supposed to arrive and be installed. Worst customer service ever as n one calls or contact me in anyway to keep me up to date on how the process is progressing. As of now, the person I have been speaking with attempting to get information on when my batteries will arrive and be installed, their phone now goes directly to voice mail and of course the sales person is also non existent. I am paying for my system and I it is not complete and I am not a happy camper. Litigation seems to be the next logical step as nothing is moving forward and I am unable to communicate to anyone.

After waiting four months for a complete installation, my contract was split between panels and power-walls (batteries). Very professional installation and great follow-up after hail when a panel went out and just needed a reboot. But after seventeen months... no batteries and nobody will even call back to explain or update ETA. One more comment, possibly related to my setup for batteries: We had our first power outage a month ago. Middle of the day with the panels generating good power. There was no way to disconnect from the downed-grid and use the panels to power my home. No response from Wells about that question either.

Scott Payne did an outstanding job in explaining the program and process. Very courteous and professional and knowledgeable. Recommend him and the company to anyone interested in Solar Power

An appointment was set by the office and Gary Betchel called me five minutes early. He patiently explained the answers to my questions and really helped me understand my current situation and what I needed to do next. If I decide to buy a Tesla Powerwall, Gary will be the first person I call.

Service was excellent from beginning to end! Anthony Hill-Contreras was my solar consultant and was honest and well informed. He continued to follow up and manage my install the whole way. My system is installed! Thank you wells !!

Total system has been completed, electrical work done, system working but they have not delivered and installed the batteries. So we have solar only during daylight hours. We have been charged for the batteries and are now paying the finance company for the completed job even though batteries not installed.

Installation was great, but main concern is, after sale support is inconsistent. No call backs or replies to our mails.Yesterday just popped up a message regarding T-Mobile modem discontinued and do we have to pay for replacement.

We had the best experience with wells solar. Pur install looks wonderful and Our consultant Andrew stayed with us through the entire process. 6/10 stars if we could.

I met with multiple companies before we picked wells solar. My husband and and I chose wells because of their attention to detail and confidence to get what we wanted done. The price was great for Tesla panels (which nobody else offered) and their consultant Andrew knew the exact answers to every question we had. Since we got solar we have not had an electric bill and the payments are very low. We would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for quality solar in the dfw area.

I just wanted to write to express a small thank you to the sales rep. you sent out to meet me. Morgan was very helpful answering all the questions a newbie to solar might ask! She was there on time, she was right to the point, and she new what she was selling! An excellent job I would say! Thanks again, hope to be doing business with y'all soon!

Sales was no pressure and our awesome salesman gave us a ton of information and detail and walked us through all our options. It was very educational. Once we made the decision to move forward it was quick and easy, all online. Once permits were received (the slowest part of the process and no fault of Wells Solar) the installation was quick and seamless with little to no interruption in our routine. We had aprox 2hrs of downtime when the electrical service was switched over and since the system went live we have been more than happy with the results.

Wells did an amazing job handling my install from start to finish. I highly recommend this company!

There was a LOT of angst about selecting a solar installer. The first two interviews were duds - couldn't accept the idea that we understand this stuff and treated us as if we should accept anything they said (much of which was untrue). I'm a mechanical engineer with a 40-year history with energy efficiency and renewable energy and we had hand-built our energy-efficient house, so we knew that they weren't acceptable. O'neal Highsmith, our first contact with Wells Solar, was a revelation. He listened to us, understood our needs, and delivered an accurate and appropriate proposal. He sold us on his company and they delivered. They removed an aging thermal collection system, installed a new roof, designed and installed the solar panels and all supporting electric work and got the appropriate approvals from PEC, our electric supplier. Then they arranged a loan with a favorable interest rate and terms, with a credit union that does this kind of work all the time. This was all done at the height of the first COVID wave in 2020. Each phase was competent and well executed. In retrospect, it all seems miraculous.

Wells Solar is a top-notch company! Our sales person, Sam, is the absolute best. We could text him any time of day with questions, and he always answered immediately. Even a year later he'll still available to us if we need anything. The whole team is so efficient and professional. I work from home and wasn't disturbed at all when they were installing the panels. What's probably the most amazing is we recently had a hail storm that caused major roof damage, and our solar panels were completely fine! Wells Solar offered to closely monitor our production after the storm and come check the panels for free. Just overall a great, honest company.

The installers did a great job but once that was done and the monitoring system was not working correctly getting it fixed has been impossible. Phone calls and emails are not returned and when they are promises are made and not kept. Been going on for 8 months now. Considering a small claims lawsuit.

But the system installed only delivers 45% of the energy we use. The sales pitch and all documents signed indicated that the system we were buying would provide our home with 90% solar power. We received three bids and the Wells Solar bid was the only one that had such a high return of solar power (the other bids only offered between 70 & 80% solar power return). We thought the higher return with Wells might be due to the type of panels they install so we chose Wells. Additionally we paid for the system upfront at time of installation. Our installation was completed in Dec 2020. The first few month electric bills were very low and we felt we had made the right investment but as we moved into late spring and early summer our electric bills were not as low as we expected. In June I began calling the Wells Solar customer service number to get assistance. I was asking to have someone come out to check our installation to make sure there wasn't something wrong with the system. The first two people I talked to assured me that according to their solar dashboard our system was producing just fine. In July I connected with Margo and once again explained although the system was producing energy it was not at the level we were sold. She ask for electronic copy of our electric bills from Jan - July so she could analize the service production vs usage. I had to make more calls to finally reconnect with Margo in late July and in that call she acknowged our system was indeed not producing at the level we were sold. She advised me that the director of operations Mike Peck was going to reach out to me to discuss a resolution to this issue. Thank goodness Margo gave me his cell number because I wanted until the first of August for his call which never happened. I then called him in August to discuss and he advised me that there had been a error in their calculation process during the design phase (he claimed it was one that was off by a single decimal point) which resulted in them understating the number of panels needed to provide us with a 90% solar return. He assured us that Wells Solar would make this right. He said Wells would come back out to our property to assess number and placement of additional panels to correct this issue with no additional cost to us since they committed in the contract to a 90% return. It is now September and although someone did come to the house (about 10 days ago) to use a drone to re-scope our roof line we still have had no communication from Wells regarding next steps, so I placed multiple calls to Mike's number but was sent directly into voice mail system. Once again I called the Wells Solar customer service number and discovered the Margo and Mike are no longer with the company. I ask to be transferred to someone in management only to be disconnected while being on a very long hold. The agent I was speaking to (Jorge) did call me back but that call was once again disconnected. Still in limbo

O'neal Highsmith was my representative and the first person that could explain how solar would work for me. I love the fact that many months the electric company owes me and the only thing I pay for is gas. I keep my house very cool all summer and when I owe it is less than $10. Best decision I have made in a long time.

I was told in writing I would save 80%. I have not save even 33%. I started out with project manager Bryan. He said he would get me up to 80% as promised. He said give him 2 months. 2 months later Bryan resigned. Then I was assigned Katie she said the same give her a couple of months. Nothing then Mike nothing, he stated it was supposed to be 80% a year. So give until your anniversary date. They stated we will send you a gift cardbto help with the bill never received it. All lies. I am paying more than from the beginning plus the note on the solor. It is not worth it. I am writing the U S depth of energy. It is all a scam

Wells Solar was great to work with! Gary Betchel is an excellent and caring salesman! He worked with us throughout the entire process, even after everything was installed/completed. The electrician was great and took time and care to install the equipment correctly. The install and design team were responsive, attentive to our concerns, and overall helpful throughout the process. Great job Wells Solar! :)

Erik Buerkle was so awesome. He was personable, knowledgeable and got right to the point. He spent time breaking down the numbers for me to weigh out the cost/benefit of getting a solar install. Because I live in Georgetown and my Utility doesn't offset enough, I didn't move forward. However, if that changes I'd gladly go with Erik. Well worth the time and education.

Wells Solar went above and beyond to make it possible for me to purchase my solar roof. At the time no solar company would even consider looking into a buying program that I had read about in one of the financial magazines, based on the rent to own idea. I presented the information to the Wells Solar rep, and instead of quickly shaking her head, no, sorry we don't do that, like all the other companies, she said "Give me a few days, let me look into that, and see what we can do for you." She came back to me within a week, she had found what I was talking about. She explained to me that smaller companies were unable to offer this, but since Wells Solar was a larger company, they had the ability and were willing to make a deal with me. I was sold. I had shopped around for solar for a couple of years and was really tired of talking to companies, who could not offer what I was looking for, and instead, unfortunately, considered suggesting smaller systems that would have covered only some of my power needs. Wells Solar configured my system perfectly. I have not paid an electric bill in going on 2 years now. Even this year, with the freeze in February, I have already made up for the energy I used to heat me house. I never lost power. Good job, Wells Solar. I'm impressed with your services all the way!

After interviewing and recieveing bids from several different companies, including one represented by a neighbor of mine, I chose Wells Solar and Electrical Services for my solar intallations. From the very beginning, Corey Wofford who sold me the system was by far the most knowledgable about all aspects of the system than any of the other companies. Wells handled all the permiting and HOA issues and kept me well informed in the progress as we led up to installation. Their installation crews were all very experienced and freindly as well as performed their jobs efficiently and neatly. Wells coordinated with my power supply company and arranged all inspections and rebates in a timely fashion, and each person I came in contact with from Wells was experienced, friendly and supportive throughout the process. While I have not had a full year under my belt yet, the performance I am getting out of my system (monitored by me and Wells via an application) indicates so far that I am recieveing or exceeding the projected performance of my system. Overall could not be happier with my system and the services from Wells in their business practices and performance.

Great presentation that sold us on the value of solar production. Gave us a timeline and really it was within a week of being exactly right. Called and informed us of installation date and they were there bright and early. Installed in 2 days. Had to wait 2 weeks for the local inspection. Then working and producing. Found a small problem 4 months later. Next day we had a courteous man here to fix the problem. Our electric bill is about 32% of what it was before. This company is the real deal! Don't waste your time, just have them do it for you.

Corey from Wells Solar set us up and walked us through everything. He answered all our questions and concerns beforehand, throughout, and still today. We have negative bills already on our 1st 2 months of electric bills (the first included the coldest temps in Texas all year). My only regret is that we didn't sign up sooner! Wells Solar took care of everything from start to finish with the utmost professionalism and knowledge. The city inspector even raved about how great their installations always are and how he never has to worry when he sees their work b/c he knows they do it right the 1st time.

I became interest in a Solar Plan because of the no money down option. I was contacted FIRST by Corey. He was articulate, patient and very knowledgeable. We spoke for a little under and hour as he gave me the details of the company, and the potential benefits of having solar. This was in November of 2020. I spoke with 2 other companies as comparison, and my mind was made up to go with Wells Solar because of the way Corey presented the facts, good or bad equally. After signing the necessary documents, (All via E-mail) I was all set. While waiting for the next phase, (honestly it took a little bit of time) I had additional questions. When I called Corey, he always had time to answer my questions. This impressed me and made me secure about my decision to contract Wells Solar for my home. After a month of back and forth paperwork, measurements were taken of my home. I was told this was insure the needed features and hardware would be properly fit on the home. When the financing was secured, I was finally place on the installation schedule. In February of 2021, the installation crew came out and in a day's work, a crew of 10 skilled workers crawled in and out of my home converting it to make solar panels work for me. They placed the planned amount of panels on the roof, and 3 electricians made the needed code modifications to the power panel in the back of the house. The effect was VERY professional. The look did not transform my house, but certainly added to it. I was and still am very pleased. I only had to wait for the city inspector to clear the addition, and I would be in operating mode. Of course this went off without a hitch. I elected to have a standby generator rather than backup batteries because of cost and personal choice. I of course researched the heck out of all of this, and anytime I could not figure out what was going on, Corey was just a phone call away. I am not saying there are not other good solar companies out there, I just hit the JACKPOT when I selected Wells Solar.

Wells Solar went over and above in all areas of their service. Even though the process took longer than anticipated due to Covid, they were there to assist through all stages of the process. Andrew went out of his way to answer any questions or help out wherever needed! They definitely brought the personal aspect into this experience as well. Thanks so much for everything and I look forward to reaping the benefits from going solar and helping out our generations to come!

Before we went solar we spent MONTHS researching and meeting with ALOT of companies. Wells Solar not only had an attractive offer, but the way they have their stuff together is far far better than the larger companies that had a big talk. I have met with all of the big installers and all of the "recommended" installers and the confidence that Wells gave me is unparalleled. They have warranties on top of warranties. The best part was that the whole team was so competent!! Everything went exactly how it was supposed to and the system is working Better than what was shown to me. Over delivered for sure!!!

I was approached by a different company with a “too good to be true” offer. I contact Erik to discuss what their company does and why the quote would be. I also reached out to 4 other companies. This business is not a third party, had the best competitive rate, and were honest with their offset. During my research I found no other company more professional than theirs, and I even used their price to talk 3 other companies lower on theirs. The company I went with was due to transportation and moving homes. The company I selected stated they would move and install my panels again at no cost, which is unheard of due to cost. The panel market is highly competitive, but I appreciate sales reps like Erik. Who didn’t pitch me a dream, but facts. And can prove, quote and demonstrate their company is not from a third party and the panels are actually good quality. As a consumer this company is the best one, but due to the cost of moving from another I went with them due to my lifestyle commitments and professional goals. But, I used Erik’s quote as the driving force against other companies that will flat out lie to get your business. This is why I gave them 5 stars! I can not validate the installation or process, but I only assume they are upfront and honest with everything! Thank you for everything.

I was referred to Wells by my brothe4. He had a system installed by them. I met with the sales person who was friendly and not pushy at all. I have always been able to talk to a local person witcany questions I have had. The system that was sold to me is performing as described and has helped me save me money on my utility bills.

I'd heard of Wells through a teammate who used them on her main house in Austin and then again on her AirBnB when the first one went well (no pun intended). We'd had Momentum out for a quote the previous year but I wasn't too keen on their sales tactics and overly-optimistic payback rates. The process was a lot more personal than national companies that kind of railroad you down the sales pipeline. Erik was my rep and we did everything over Zoom and the phone, which was a huge relief during the pandemic. The only time someone came into my house was when the installers needed to see the shape of the attic from inside, and they were masked - no more than a minute to walk up the stairs and pop their head in the crawlspace. Had to do a lot less work with permits / signoffs than I expected as well; Erik would let me know what was coming and gave me a reminder call if I missed my own target for getting signatures back. They've monitored the system health and I've had no problems in the 6 months since installation. I only wish I'd had more roof to put more panels on!

I did a lot of research before selecting Wells Solar, obtaining proposals from six established solar installation companies. Wells offered the best value to me in the mix of price, quality, service/warranty, local presence and experience. In Wells, I found a good, quality product at a reasonable price, from an established, local company. One of the deciding factors with Wells was their sales approach. No games. No talking negatively about their competition. My sales representative, Erik Buerkle, was knowledgeable and straight-forward throughout the process; something that I really appreciated. The planning and installation process went great. Wells handled everything from HOA to PEC to the City. I would absolutely recommend Wells Solar.

Our sales representative Jeremy Niersmann was very knowledgeable in explaining all about solar panels. We had noticed down the street where a company had installed panels on their house that was under the trees. We wanted to make sure we received the best return on our money and Jeremy explained all about solar. Wells solar has been very responsive the few times we have called with questions.

After reviewing several companies I decided to go with Wells Solar. From the very beginning to the finish when the panels were turned on. The people were unbelievably familiar with the product. I am very pleased with my panels. The complete process was so very informative. I would highly recommend Wells Solar.

Wells Solar did an amazing job, both on the installation and the service provided. I did refer another person and they also had solar's installed in their home by Wells, I was pleased that they actually give you the $500 for the referral ( after the referred person get the solars installed). The salesman's name that help me out is Nick (sorry forgot his last name), my solars have been installed now for a year and a half and I still call him and his always willing to help with any questions I might have (and I had alot lol). Overall I an pleased with their service and will continue recommending them.

Wells solar was with me every step of the way. The process was very easy. I couldn't be happier with my system.

Wells Solar has been amazing through the entire process. I compared other companies and they had the best equipment, financing options, warranty, and the best reputation. Sure enough they have upheld their end of the agreement. Panels are up and working perfectly. My sales rep O'neal was very professional and thorough and answered all of my questions. The installers are actually Wells Solar employees and showed up in Wells Solar trucks and did an amazing job. The customer service reps are so friendly and helpful anytime I have any questions. I would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone looking for a turnkey stress free solar install.

Mr. David Scally came today to check our system, which has not been working properly. He found that the system had not been paired and the firmware needed updating. He also found a bad optimizer and the fan not working in the inverter box. He took the time to explain the system to me, which no one else had done. I appreciated his time. This guy knows his solar stuff and was very helpful. If I ever need any future work done - I�ll be asking for him.
