Excellent Product and Company

I chose SunPower by Venture Solar because I think they have a better product and the highest customer ratings. The SunPower panels have an integrated inverter, which avoids another ugly box being mounted on my house. And since the inverter is one of the most vulnerable links in the solar electric lifeline, if the inverter goes, there is no electric production until it is replaced. With SunPower, if the inverter malfunctions, only that one panel is compromised. And the inverter is replaceable, not requiring the entire panel to be replaced. Venture Solar (the installer) has been responsive, keeping me informed each step of the rather long process of permits, approvals, and getting a new roof. Although my roof was fine, it was 25 years old, and I didn't want to put solar on shingles that were past middle-aged. Venture helped me get set up with a roofer who also did a great job; using their roofer factored into the rebate, and gave me extra consumer power. The 18 solar panels I had installed look ok (I don't ever think they look great!) in that they are arranged as inconspicuous as possible. They are a black color, which looks better than the blue-hue in other brand solar panels. The installers were professional, and arrived when they said they would. All inspections went well, so their work was up to standard.

SunPower installation and service is excellent, professional. From the visit to the final is continious follow up and communication. I could not asked for a better service. My monthly electric bills reduce to more tban half of what i was paying Con Edison i wish i have this service years ago. I was having two separate issues with my sun power system. There were lights blinking on my solar panel box and I was very confused about the tax abatements. When I explained my confusion with my tax abatement Nicole did all the leg work and walked me through what to do concerning my mortgage escrow accounts. I called up my mortgage company and hung up more confused. I called her again and she answered the phone with my first name. (Amazing passion for service!! )She emailed me my quarterly tax statements from the past two years and was able to explain them better than my tax accountant (amazing again!!). Then she offered to stay on the phone with me while I spoke to my mortgage company and walk me through the process as if she was my legal counsel! Amazing again going above and beyond my expectations!!!! I called her back to thank her and before I can say anything she again addressed my by my first name and was eager to help like my mother would... Thankfully I was able to speak to the mortgage company and got it my situation all cleared up. She then asked if there was anything else that she could help with I said yes not expecting her to actually do anything... I explained that there were ref lights on my solar panel box on the outside of my house and I tried calling the corporate office but was told it could be up to two weeks before any one can call me for an appointment. I was very concerned that the panels were not operational. She was able to tell me exactly what was wrong and not to be alarmed that the panels were properly functioning and asked if I changed my internet service. I did!! Wow now she told me something that my internet provider did not...(now she can be my cable technician!!) she said that she would schedule a technician to come out and take a look. She explained to me that it may be a few days before I she was able to get someone here to fix the problem but I did not have to be home for the work to be done! I was very happy with the entire experience!! The kicker was that she called me back after business hours and said that she was able to have someone come out the next day!!!! Unbelievable!!!! Nicole you went above and beyond. I so appreciate you passion for service, empathy and knowledge. I am in the customer service business for over 30 years and I have never had an experience as amazing as this!!! Solar Power is blessed to have you as an employee! Nicole for President!!! Finally did it!

I was very skeptical at 1st about getting solar panels but im glad i finally decided to go through with it. I didnt have big electric bills but i still get to save a little plus there is a good property tax abatement and an income tax benefit as well.

First for anyone reading this if you are thinking of using Sunpower, I say go for them! The first person who contacted me was Chris Sluyter, can't say enough good things about, straight forward, honest, knowledgeable, etc,, he is the reason I choose sunpower. (Chris if you read this, I still have your first business card you gave me! also you promised to send something for my kids, some kind of gadget don't forget with sunpowers name on it, we didn't receive them yet). The engineer who came afterwards was also terrific, don't remember his name, but he forgot his ladder by me and had to come back to get it. My installation was just done, the main guy his name is Elson Victor, just unbelievable he should get a raise they came at 8AM and didn't leave till 8PM working the whole time, what a gentleman, overall they all get 10 stars, In addition the office support staff always called me and kept me informed during the whole process, what a great company to work with, mister owner you are lucky to have such great employees, wish I had such employees working for me!

I have shopped around for solar panels for more than a year and all the sales person I interview just wanted to rip me off. I put my information on the web and got a call from Chris Sluyter from Venture Solar we had an appointment for that very evening at 7:30 pm. I got home from work at 7:00 and there sitting in a car in front of my house was this stranger, I passed and said nothing after getting into my house I kept looking out the window at the car and exactly 7:30pm the person got out of the car rang my door bell and introduce himself as Chris. From that moment until I signed the papers I knew I had finally found a company I could trust. All inspections and insulation were done on time, the quality of work was first class bar non. I was most impressed with the Nichole who kept me up to date with what was happening on a weekly basic. Thanks Nichole you and the entire team did a great job. SunPower Rocks

We have been looking to add Solar to our house for the past 5 years, unfortunately no company was able to "guarantee" enough output to justify us doing it, until SunPower. SunPower is a firstclass company that delivers what they say. The whole process, from having a salesman sit down with us until the final phone call that let us know our order was complete was painless and fun. I enjoy bragging to my friends and family about our $18.00 "Summer" electric bill. I highly recommend SunPower, you will not be disappointed.

Love dealing with Venture Solar everyone from the Sales Representative, Chris, to the installer, Joe, and the follow-up team, Justina, and the Inspector who came with the NYC Department of Buildings Inspector was very professional. Even the financier was helpful at explaining the options. I would definitely recommend, without any hesitation, SunPower by Venture Solar to get your Solar Project off the ground and running in no time. Very appreciative. Forgot to mention that the Application is very helpful since it allows me to know how much energy and power the panels are producing hour by hour. Hasselfree and constantly kept in the loop

I typically do not write reviews but I just had to because this was the most hassel-free home improvement project undertaken to date. I am so happy with the experience because going solar was pain-free and must less problematic than I imagined. I received three quotes and went with the quote that suited my needs (lowest price was not the main criteria, but it did factor into my decision). I enjoyed the fact that I was never pressured or told that I needed to make the decision within a certain timeframe. VentureSolar took care of all the paperwork and the installer (Joe) and his two assistants arrived on time to install, the process did take an entire day. I am currently waiting on the inspectors from NYC Dept. of Buildings and then CodEd to change meter and turn on the system. Will provide an update in the coming months. I was always informed regarding what were the next steps and the possible timeframe. Working with any city agency tends to take a long time.*

The whole process was very smooth. The salesman Brian Ferrel was extremely knowledgeable and answer all my questions. The installation was done without any issues and the customer support staff have been very good.

I am so happy to have installed solar panels. We are saving so much money on electricity bills and the federal and state incentives we receive pays for over half of the solar installation cost. There’s a 25 year warranty on the solar panels and after we finish paying off financing within five years, we’ll own the solar panels outright which will increase our home value. We believe solar energy is good for the environment and would encourage other homeowners to strongly consider solar installation.
