What a FANTASTIC company! When we decided to go with Sunstore Solar (out of 5) we were hoping we would not be let down once they had a signed contract and deposit. Sunstore has more than exceeded our expectations. We did not have to worry about any paper work dealing with Blue Ridge Electric Co-op, tax forms or county regulations. Sunstore did not pressure us into more wattage than we were looking for (50% offset) or a ground mounted system. Sunstore LISTENED to what we wanted and why. They were always able to answer our questions and continue to do so. Ashley Edwards (our sales rep) is extremely knowledgeable. He heard our concerns/wants assuring our energy needs were met with no problems or delays. He took the time to talk instead of just trying to make a sale. Ashley gave us several options, explained what was required for each and let us decide, not right then but a couple of weeks later. The installation crew were outstanding and very professional. They showed us during the install on site, what they were planning to do and why. Pre-Pictures are great but before someone does work on your roof it was nice to have that "wait a moment" minute and have it shown again. We have very, very good looking aesthetic system (pictures online), no gaps from vent pipes and no electrical piping running all over the roof. Sunstore made the entire process exciting and enjoyable. Use Sunstore for your solar needs, you will not regret it.

10 years later, still pleased!

My solar-thermal water heating system was installed in November 2006 and it has NEVER been serviced, yet has worked perfectly for the past 10+ years. It works so well that I actually turn my hot water heater off at the breaker for about eight months of the year. Outstanding Company to do Business With

From the moment we contracted with Sunstore our experience with them has been outstanding. We worked with Charro and Ashley and their level of knowledge was very impressive. They were professional, honest and a pleasure to do business with. Better yet, their installation crew were about the best craftspeople we have ever worked with. They spent extra time observing our property, planning on the best setup of the array for both solar production and visual esthetics. Excellent Service and Experience

Our experience with Sunstore Solar was fantastic! Professionalism was consistent throughout the entire process (sales thru installation). We were reluctant to have panels installed on top of our roof, but were ensured they would look fine. WOW they were correct! They look and work great! It was above and beyond the current building codes and the symmetry was beyond compare.

Perfect

Sunstore installed our solar panels about one year ago. From start (planning) to finish (installation) Sunstore staff did a great job. Our panels have worked perfectly from day one til now. Our electric bill is less that half of what is was. We are thrilled to have reduced our use of fossil fuels. I would highly recommend this company and wish everyone who possibly can would get solar panels installed. We all need to vote for the candidates who will promote a tax rebate for solar panel installation in NC.

Great people, great product!

I'm not big on writing reviews, but if you are like I was, looking into getting solar power but not having any idea as to what you need or what it should cost, these are the people to go to! After sitting with a salesman from a solar company that I heard about on the radio for 3 hours who wanted I sell me a "total energy efficiency" package and who pressured me to pay Today in order to save $5000 on the cost, it was so refreshing to talk to Charro on the phone and get a basic estimate by email that I could think over. They were honest, dependable, quick, thorough, and nice. Already seeing a big change in our power bill and we have the peace of mind that comes with backup power during an outage! Thanks so much guys!

Off grid power for river cabin

We are very satisfied with our new solar power. It is exciting to have full power from the sun and not be tied to a utility company. The solar power runs everything we need for our weekend cabin. We highly recommend Sunstore Solar.

Exceptional Service and Products

As you are probably figuring out, PV systems are a considerable and uncommon investment for any homeowner or businessperson, much more a new homeowner like we were. We wanted to find the best products, with highest standards to maintain our performance for the lifetime of our new home. This might sound unrealistic, but we wanted to aim high on this investment! While on this search, we recognized the need to compare people, customer reviews, and prices. Well, that's where Sunstore Solar set themselves apart. Not only did Charro call me the day after I sent an inquiry, she was committed to us across 161 emails and innumerable calls during the 9 month process (determined by our construction schedule and permitting process). I have to say that without Charro's patient determination and commitment, it would have been a more stressful process that would have cost us more time and hassle. We are absolutely impressed and pleased with our 5.5kW Roof Mounted Sunpower PV System. We give our highest recommendations to Charro, Bruce Wood, and the whole team at SunStore. Good folks to work with. Had my estimate done promptly. site visit confirmed preliminary design . Once ordered meet installation schedule and when we had a technical issue worked around to get it done. Took care of all Net metering forms with Duke Power. recommendation is excellent.

Ground array in sensitive environment

In the beginning, Michael came to the site, listened to our "dreams" of living "off-grid," while maintaining a reasonable budget, and looked at the site. He noted all the options available to us and his crew for the installation of a larger system. He went back to the office and designed a couple of proposals. Charro, the office manager quickly touched base with us, to let us know that it was in the works and that we would have a design as soon as possible. In the meantime, we had two other companies to interview and try to get proposals from. (one was eliminated due to lack of communication, pretty quickly) Sunstore got two designs to us with a couple of options on each. After reviewing the proposals from Sunstore and the other competitor, we had both companies "defend" their proposals and explain why theirs was more appropriate for our needs. Michael was patient, and thorough in his explanations and defense. Both companies presented reasonable proposals, and although neither could provide an "off-grid" install for our budget, Sunstore came closest to meeting our needs. They installed panels in a ground array and ran the lines several hundred feet, to our home. The ground was rocky and the environment around our home rather fragile. The guys did an outstanding job working through the rock, while respecting their surroundings. In addition to the solar install, they installed a "heat pump water heater." This has cut the cost of heating our domestic water to a minimum, as it is able to be run off the power provided by the panels! Upon completion of the installation we were "walked through" the system, and a follow up meeting was scheduled to go over questions and to tweak settings, after we were running on our own. They continue to work with us, in getting our electric provider to develop a "net-metering" plan. This will allow us to run our grid meter backwards during super sunny days when we are producing an excess of power. They have been cordial and professional with the local electrical authorities, and their professionalism has been noted by the power company, as well. Michael came back to review the system, and make sure that it was running as we had hoped. He did tweak a few settings and checked all the lines again. We have had several "power company outages," that have not affected, or inconvenienced us, due to our wonderful PV system!

I find the people at SunStore easy to deal with and very knowledgeable. I recommend them very highly.

EXCELLENT work, EXTREMLY professional and friendly work crew. I`ve worked with elecric somewhat myself and crew was more than happy to make sure i understood exactly what they were doing and why. Great company and customer relations. All permits,inspections and paper work was handled by sunstore as per contract.All was completed as agreed and on time.

We will be filing for federal and state energy tax credits and would not have installed the system without them.

We have been very satisfied with the whole process. We have had our sytem for just over a month now.
