I'm very satisfied with employees and install team. They've been responsive, helpful, professional and positive. I feel very comfortable recommending someone else to work with Sunrun to satisfy their solar system needs. I really like the Tesla and Span phone apps. That is a must for anyone getting solar. And everyone should get a breaker box like Span to be able to see that data.

Experience

My experience from beginning to until they installed the panels has been amazing. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. The process was seamless and quick.

1 year and no complaints

SunRun was my third solar sales pitch. Isaiah is the lowest pressure salesperson I've ever come across, which is a huge plus. After 1 year, my savings are about 22%. I decided on solar not really for the savings over the next 4 or 5 years, but 10 to 15 years down the road.

Sunrun my roof installation

Regional manager is Kip is great to work with. He understood my requirements and made it happen. Thank you Kip. Installation team is not with SunRun standards, they installed slowly and they are messy. They through all the sharp bolts and several parts and materials in my lawn around the house. My Tesla had a flat tire and we have to replace the tire and spent around $400 to replace it. Also the supervisor who came, explained the installation details. Some of them I don’t understand.

Sunrun has done a great job with our 3rd installation. We now have a total of 31 solar panels and 2 batteries and we are very satisfied with the entire installation process and the professional team at Sunrun.

We have had solar for a while. We save a ton of money. We are super happy with Sun Run. Stephen Woodcock was very helpful.

Missy and Adrienne were fantastic in the CT area. We ended up needing a roof and they came through in ensuring the install went well and then promptly re-engaging the solar installers when it was time for them to install on top of the new roof.

Andrew Grose is your typical used car salesman type guy. Tries to be slick and tells you everything you want to hear but is gone the second the transaction is finalized Sunrun is a a good company but he’s a terrible salesperson Mike

I originally was with another company before SunRun. They pitched a great product to me, so I was moving forward with them but with some hesitation. Maybe a week before installation a SunRun rep came to my door, I usually never answer the door to solicitors but I did. I tried to tell him that I'm already getting installation with another company and he was too late. He explained it isn't over until I accept the installation which the other company did explain, so I let him tell me his pitch. He explained certain things SunRun does that many other companies do not. He explained the other company is a broker and they broker out SunRun products for their customers. As he kept explaining things, I became intrigued. I'm not a loyal customer to anyone I welcome competition. He helped me make a compare and contrast list between both companies. SunRun came out on top. I'm a huge fan of customer service, so if you show me how a customer is supposed to be treated without all the huge sales tactics, I'm a huge numbers guy, so proving all of this helps me make a decision. When the install team came, they were patient, articulate, and overall great. They explained from step one to finish of what I need to expect of my experience. If I do not, I need to let them know. Very courteous. I like the notifications throughout the process. I'm very cautious of people entering my property without proper notifications, but once I mentioned that to my rep...he reassured me that he will be there every step of the way to make sure everyone is supposed to be doing what they're supposed to be doing. I like that reassurance and everyone has delivered this type of service to me

Only wish I knew this....

The sunrise business model is to turn your house into its own private utility. This makes you 100% solar. Instead of owning the solar and taking on a loan for it you are signing a 25-year contract with sunrun to be your electric power producer, or electric key if you so wish, and we'll pay them a monthly fee just like you would your regular utility company. The beauty here is that the price only goes up around 3 to 4% a year as is written in the contract. Although this is higher than inflation, it is lower than what I have been seeing in price increases through my traditional utility. So I bit the bullet at no cost to me. The only thing I wish I would have known was that there is a large backpack size unit, I forget what it is called, that needs to be attached to your house. There are also other laptop sized units, or maybe a little smaller, that have to be attached near the power meter on your house. So you suddenly have a whole bunch of equipment attached to your house and for some houses, like mine, it can look really messy. So I had to have them attach this one piece to another side of the house. I believe it's called the inverter. This is the largest piece. It's okay. But now I have this big box attached to my home. If you have solar on your house, you have no choice. Eventually I could put some hydrangeas there or some shrubbery to cover it up a little bit. Otherwise I think it's an eyesore. I don't know if that is a deal-breaker, but for some people it might be. If they had to put that inverter near my electric meter it really would have cluttered the entryway to my house and would have looked ugly. I would not have like that at all. So you want to talk to your guys who are installing it beforehand so they can give you options. If you have no options and you're only option is near your electric meter and you don't want clutter over there then you might have to rethink this. This is especially true for older historic homes, or very high-end homes that don't want wiring and piping exposed near their home.

Runaround and lies

**DO NOT USE SUNRUN.** We started with them in **November 2024**, and it has been an absolute nightmare ever since. The sales guy was friendly—then vanished. We were told we needed a trench dug, and that Sunrun would cover a $10,000 trench. We explained we had a contractor digging a trench already and it would be cost effective to use the same one, or make that one wider, but where they planned ot dig was impossible due to main lines. They told us we absolutely were wrong and they had to go in a different place. They were wrong. Once they realized they had the trench planned in the wrong place We had to **start completely over**, wait 6 more weeks, and then were told the new trench had to go *exactly where the first one already was*—but now it cost **$14,000**, and we owed $4,000 out-of-pocket since they only said they would cover $10,000 the first time. The new rep, **Tyler**, promised a Visa gift card to cover at least half the cost. That was a lie. The install company, **Smith and Electric**, gave us 3 install dates, and confirmed the wrong ones, then randomly showed up early—causing construction delays and fees form our other project. They **ruined our driveway** with a rushed concrete pour in the rain, leaving a **neon orange stripe**. The tech admitted it looked terrible and said they’d fix it. They haven't fixed it and here we are 4 months later. Then came the endless runaround, inspection delays: weeks of silence, botched scheduling, failed inspections, and **constant ghosting** by our new rep **Zulema**, who repeatedly said “almost there” without any answers. It took **EIGHT MONTHS** total to get the system running. The moment it was turned on in **July 2025**, we got a bill for **$4,388**. When I called to ask about the gift card Tyler promised, Zulema claimed it never existed. She said she’d look into it, then disappeared—until finally texting us that she’s “no longer handling your account.” Now we get 2–3 emails and texts daily demanding payment for work we were misled into, while the driveway is still wrecked and nobody is accountable. Sunrun lied, stalled, overcharged, and abandoned us. **This company is dishonest, disorganized, and absolutely infuriating. RUN the other direction.**

Stephen Woodcock and Sunrun are great! I've had my system for over a decade now with no issue, love not having an electric bill. Customer service is also top notch they will answer any questions or concerns you may have. Can't recommend them enough.

Solar panels sunrun

I went solar 3 years ago and it has been fantastic. I have never had to call anyone for anything everything has worked perfect I have never paid eversource since I have gotten it. It looks great. Stephen Woodcock was super helpful. I save a ton I used to pay 200 3 years ago now I pay 118.

Making it easy step-by-step

Our sales rep helped us get our paperwork with HOA completed The installation team (foreman: Christian) gets 2 thumbs up for their kindness, expediency and professionalism. They even helped us with adjustments to existing garage fixtures that were in the way of equipment. The group that helped with the inspections continued to show Sunrun kindness (helped with inspection appointment and my missing smoke detector) and expediency. Fingers crossed the next phase with the utility company goes as well!

Solar Review

Met with another solar company and was definitely turned off by their customer service so needless to say they were not my choice. Then I met Stephen Woodcock from SunRun solar and what a difference he made with my solar decision. I can’t say enough about Steve and the SunRun crew. From beginning to end it was such a pleasant experience, and all my questions were answered by Steve and SunRun team kept me up to date with the process.
