From start to finish, the entire process was excellent. Communication was clear and consistent, and every question I had was answered promptly. The customer service team was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, making the whole experience stress-free. The installation itself was done on time and with great attention to detail. The crew arrived when they said they would, worked efficiently, and left everything clean when they finished. Every person I interacted with, from the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, was professional, courteous, and clearly knew their work inside and out. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the service. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar.

Unhappy customers

This has been the third time in a year, totaling over 4 months without solar. Once I get an extremely high electricity bill that's when I realize that the system is not producing. I've been told the last time that there will be some kind of compensation, but that a lie. Before Sunrun bought out my contract from Vivent I received better customer service. And it they were on top of it. Unfortunately another example of American greed. Someone please help. I've paid almost 30K to help the planet and no one is helping me.

Adding a Powerwall for storage!

We recently decided to add a Powerwall to our existing solar panel system. In fact we have 2 systems from different companies, so the Powerwall will store energy from both systems. The process with SunRun has moved along quickly from our initial call to the planning stage, the permit, and the installation process. We are hoping to power on the battery soon once our utility company installs a meter and the city inspector gives us a green light. Thank you SunRun!

Easy to work woth

We have lots of choices with solar installation on Kauai. We ultimately chose SunRun because they came to us and did all the leg work. Our rep Jay was extra friendly and supportive and we were always informed of what was happening by Jaem. Even though it’s a lengthy process, when working with a company that has installed so many systems in several states, it shows in their experience and customer service.

Do NOT trust Sunrun

I should go back and redo the ratings on all the Sunrun Customer Engagement representatives and give them all one star only- why: my issue is NOT getting resolved. I spoke to reps on 8/22, on 9/3, on 9/10, and on 9/12. All four very polite and seemed to want to be helpful but not able to explain WHAT HAPPENED and WHY I am not getting my refund and if the issue has occurred before or can occur again. My charge for July 1 through July 31, 2025, was $858.44!!! The statement claims there was 5,777 kWh which is ridiculous- May was 775, June was 785. I want to know HOW this happened- I now question the integrity of the system and am distrustful of the readings and the billings. I have asked all four times with the service reps I WANT AN IMMEDIANT REFUND! WHY IS THIS NOT HAPPENING! I do NOT, do NOT want a “CREDIT” to my account- but that is what they did. I wanted that money back into my bank account where it was taken from- or a check expedited and sent FedEx to my home immediately. I have requested this FOUR TIMES! I also requested auto withdraw immediately cease. I am forced to be distrustful of the billing, have to scrutinize first and then will pay online or mail a check. Why am I being treated so poorly!

So far the experience has been great. Professional, fast, reliable, and very responsive. So much better than Tesla.

System not communicating with app

My system that was purchased 1n 2023 will not communicate with the app so I have no idea how much I am producing this is the 2nd time this has happened and now you want $600 to look at it Totally unacceptable

Great experience!

I’d been considering installing solar on my house for a few years. Along came Roland Christopher from Sunrun. He patiently answered all my questions. Everyone I’ve worked with from Sunrun has been great to work with. The pre-inspector did a thorough job. The installation guys were wonderful and did a good job. I can’t wait to start this system up.

Awesome experience.

Electric bills, with the ever increasing weather changes, those electric bills aren't going down ! Does anyone want to change that ? Call "Sunrun" to find out how to change that. After a chance encounter at the local big box store with a rep from Sunrun, I decided to look into what this company was offering. My first meeting with this amazing young man was indeed an eye opener. He carefully explained how it all works to benefit the home owner, which in my case was huge ! Being retired on a fixed income this all made sense to me. When the tech crew arrived I was impressed by how professional and down to earth these technitions are. The install was in my humble opinion flawless ! I made arrangements for an entire day for this install but much to my surprise they were done in no time. The electrician installed a new power panel and I have to give him a ton of credit, his work was rock solid ! He turned a boat load of wires into a work of art ! Very impressed with his work. After all that work, once the crew was done,I did a walk around thinking of have to do some cleanup .... Wrong ! Nothing for me to clean up. Awesome ... I highly recommend this company and if you want to chop that electric bill .... Call SUNRUN !

System doesn't work

I've been trying to get you guys defix my system for well over a year, and you refuse to do anything about it.

Professional Installation, No Glitches

A very smooth, 1-day install. Equipment drop-off about 7:00 A.M. Electrician, crew chief and installers on-site before 8:30. Everyone tucked into their work after we reviewed what would happen and the panels and 3 batteries were in place and working by 4:45 P.M. A very profession job, we thought.

The salesman was very helpful and always available for questions, The installer, Ray, introduced himself and explained what he and his team were about to accomplish, The electrician, Chris, also introduced himself and explain how he was going about to do his part of the project, and shortly afterwards they were all done, and cleaned up the whole area, great service, thanks to all.

Good Company

They were very informative and able to answer ll questions. Their prices were reasonable and worked in our budget. The sales rep has continually checked in with us during the entire process and has been great to work with. Installation went well and we are all done just waiting for city inspection.

This company is a fraud

I installed the solar panels in 2021 they did the calculations based in $160 that I used to pay over the summer, in the beginning of the summer the Bill was 0 dollar them when the winter arrives, the bill when up from 40 or 50 dollar to $400 to $500 and so far they have done anything to solve the problem. And I can cancell this service because of the contract.

I have to say that I was very impressed with the crew that came here at this point I forgot the guy's name that was in charge he was amazing explained everything to me went over everything with me and everybody was very courteous of my home it's almost like you didn't know they were here they're very hard workers

I am very happy with my experience with SunRun. The installation was fast and done effectively We also went back and added batteries and additional panels. I would strongly suggest getting the batteries with the first installation along with as many panels will fit on the roof to avoid having a second installation.

My Sunrun Review

To begin with I could not be more pleased with the system installation. The parts and pieces were of a very high standard. Care was taken to do an extensive pre installation inspection of the roof, and electrical location. Safety was a primary aim. Antonio went over the entire work plan, and the installation began. Fall protection, and safety equipment, was employed. At the end of the installation there was a test and review, followed by a thorough cleanup, and off they went!

Do not Purchase from Sun Run

They promised a lot of coverage that is not happening. I’m getting a regular SCE bill plus theirs. The salesman disappeared and the staff installing the equipment never showed you how to use it. So due to the settings I was getting charged for the same amount, not saving anything. They didn’t pay the commission promised.
