Excellent service all around

We were lied to. These panels don't produce on cloudy or partly cloudy days. We were told we could be free from Comed. Not even close. The powewall goes dead before morning. My wife and I talked it over, want these solar panels taken off our roof and for you to repair our roof.

Most reliable and professional

SunRun took me from signature to installed in one week! It was an amazing eaperience. I had been thinking about solar and batteries for a while and finally found the right company through my neighbor. Josh Kjar was my agent and he made the experience simple and easy.

Every thing went very well The workers had a tough day with a 10-12 roof the other guys that installed the electrical panel and wires from one side of the house across the attic were awesome I appreciate the heads up about the roof rafters that were broken from a storm that was supposed to be fix during the storm in February by a top restoration contractor “”[opps] they missed

Garbage company

Half my panels we're off for over 7 months and they couldn't figure it out. I noticed the drop in production and over that span they did remote monitoring and sent a team but could not see half the panels were off. A contractor found the issue in 5 min. Truly a trash company

A disappointing and shady venture

We originally loved our solar experience with Sunrun, the technology worked well, and we felt good about supporting renewable energy. Unfortunately, ever since the company changed ownership, everything has gone downhill. There is now a complete lack of trust and transparency in how they operate. Their contracts are shady and apparently meaningless, as they fail to honor what’s outlined in writing. Customer service is disconnected, dismissive, and at times downright rude -- and despite contacting them more than 10 times, we’ve received no resolution to ongoing issues. We were even held financially responsible for bills while their system was down for over THREE months, with zero accountability on their end. It’s shocking how little regard this company now shows for its customers. This isn’t just one bad experience - it seems to be part of a widespread pattern. Frankly, this company needs to be investigated by state representatives and attorney generals for its predatory and unethical practices. If you’re considering solar, look elsewhere. Sunrun is no longer the company it once was.

We found the crew that put up the panels to be professional and respectful during the whole process. They cleaned up after themselves and did a good job. Everything was put back in it's place.

Seamless experience

Sun run has been professional and the ease of communicating is stellar. From the first meeting to install. They app is great to see each step completed and what comes next. Chat makes communication instant and one spot to speak with everyone on the team. From the app, emails, calls to the texts I was in the loop. Any anxiety about going solar was relieved by using a company in business over 20 yrs, knowledge of codes and permits, their BBB rating and of course the sleek look of the panels. We are in our last step for SCE to place meter and approval to turn on. Can’t wait !

Over charged

I want to start out by saying this is the first time I've ever reviewed a company in my life. I've had sunrun since the end of 2023. I have never been late on a payment. My system was not running right for a few months so they had maintenance come out. The worker explained something was wrong with the panels and he needed to shut it down. 3 months later they finally came out to fix it and during those months I paid both electric bill and solar bill which was $600-$800 a month. I called in about the over payment and was told they can't do anything about the electric bill but they would credit me for all the energy that my system should've produced. I took them on their word. They have not credited me anything up until today when I called once again. This time they said I didn't have the warranty for this so I get nothing back. After being pretty mad they credited me $150, but the $350 I paid every month that their system didn't work was just me donating to Sunrun I guess? This company is def shady and you need to make sure you read the fine print because you are just dollar signs to them. Proceed with caution so you don't get locked into a long term lease like I did.

I was fully satisfied for the SunRun employee who installed our Tesla batteries and Panels. They are very knowledgeable of the work they're doing.

Installation

Electrician left a mess and didn’t clean up. Workers on roof broke approx. 30+ tiles and replaced them with a different color. Said they would locate replacement tiles under solar panels but did not. It has been six days and they have still not replaced still broken tiles and no communication when. I’ve complained to 2-3 Sunrun people but perhaps the last one I spoke to which was Friday will get something going.

Team was on time and finished in one day.
