I worked there. The employees were great, but the owners were shady as they come. One of the owners started a new company called Sunny Energy Rx, where they aim to service all the systems they profited and then walked away from. The below quote is from their new website. "Like most homeowners with solar, you probably spent $30,000 to $50,000 or maybe more on your investment in clean solar energy. Your solar investment deserves our expert care, especially when your original installer is no longer available. Don't take our word for it. Our work and your results will speak volumes for us." I agree. Do not take their word for it... It's sad, yet hilarious to me that they are advertising to the very customers who they screwed over. Some customers may have spent that amount of money yet never received their solar installation. Countless other customers were left with incomplete or non-commissioned systems. They reference solar installers who are no longer in business, when THEY ARE THAT COMPANY! Wild, to say the least.

This company is the worst to get in contact with . I purchase a home with their Solar System. I emailed them a copy of new deed and owner info . We are trying to get the system online and on our phones. THEY WILL NOT RETURN CALLS OR ANSWER ANY EMAILS . THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE SYSTEM . WE CANT GET INFO. ALSO THEY FILED CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPCY

I have a very negative review of this company (Sunny Energy), due to the fact that after installing my solar system in which was done seamlessly without any hiccups, there was a $8,000.00 built into my loan for purchasing a Generator. I have tried to contact the company and the contractor to resolve this issue without any success. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Over the past 2 months Sunny has abandoned our project. We have panels on the roof & Q-cell batteries in the garage. But nothing working. I was planning on hiring a lawyer to sue Sunny, in the process, I see they have recently filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy. STAY AWAY FROM SUNNY ENERGY!!!

In reading the one star ratings…I am totally perplexed. Sunny Energy is one of the best contractors I have experienced in a long time. As a licensed general contractor…..I know subs and Sunny is top notch. From the sales cycle to setting expectations, scheduling and installation it was as smooth a process as one can imagine. We were notified of every step along the way from permitting to each step of the install as to what to expect. The techs were top notch and very detail oriented. They worked efficiently and left the site immaculate each time they were out. A big shoutout to the entire Sunny Team! What a great experience.

All good. All the materials/panels/inverters they use are all top quality. They kept me up to date with everything (permits etc) and they always showed up when they said they would. System has been running for about a month now and all good.

Our new solar system from Sunny Energy was recently turned on and it is performing as expected. Our experience with Sunny Energy was top-notch from start to finish. The price they provided after the initial consultation did not change, they were prompt and courteous at each step of the process, informed us about delays that were out of their control and explained the system thoroughly. There were a lot of great reviews for Sunny Energy when we decided to go with them in December of 2022 and it was one of the reasons why we decided to go with Sunny Energy. I was most impressed by people saying what a great service experience they received. It's now May of 2023, the solar has been installed for about two months. The one hiccup we had with Sunny Energy was in regard to the contract. We were told one payment schedule on the phone and when we received the contract it was a different payment schedule. The salesperson explained that they had changed their payment schedule two weeks prior, and he had unfortunately forgot to quote us the new schedule. After the contract was signed the process was fast and Sunny Energy did everything they needed to do and there were no delays on their part. Everyone communicated along the way. All the communication was professional and timely. When there were delays in the process it was in no way Sunny Energy's fault. The biggest delay was after the system was completely installed and we had to wait for APS to give the Permission to Operate. In fact, once they had approval and permits and could move forward with the installation, they had an opening and they installed four days later. The crew that came out to do the installation was great and did a good job. They were easy to talk to and listened to what we had to say. The installation was rather painless and went well. After the system was installed, we received a phone call and email from what I believe is the head of customer service to schedule a virtual walk through. When we didn't respond and book a virtual walk through on the first email a second one came which was a great follow up. However, I would have preferred an in-person walk-through. I made the mistake of not asking if one was possible and it turns out after talking to Sunny Energy after the fact, I could have requested one. By that time the email asking to schedule came with a link to a video of the walk through and that had enough information, so it wasn’t an issue thereafter. Our solar system is generating enough energy now that we are receiving credits from APS and electric bills for $0 with additional dollar credits still on file with them. I am pleased with the solar system that was purchased, the time to install, the work that was done and the system is operating as promised. I am also thrilled with the SolarEdge inverter and the app that goes with it and would highly recommend that people ask for the SolarEdge inverter and support equipment. If I need any additions to my solar system in the future, I will not hesitate to contact Sunny Energy.

We first heard of Sunny Energy as a result of a presentation being held at our community, which was super informative. The entire process from contract signing, to initiating the project once we knew when our new construction home was closing, to the installation process was seamless. I was pleased with Sunny Energy and their work on my home. As a first time home buyer, getting solar was important to me and Sunny Energy helped me achieve that. The staff was easy to work with and they were accessible if I ever had a question as the process was in motion. They provided a nice overview of my system operation once the install was completed and helped to get me set up with the tools needed to track my solar production, right from my phone. In a world with inflation, it's nice to know that Sunny Energy is helping me save some green and help the earth at the same time.

Sunny Energy did a great job installing solar at our home. The team was extremely professional and knowledgeable. They patiently worked with inspectors to get our approvals. It took longer than anticipated, but it was worth it! My husband and I have been geeking out on the phone app watching daily production and our first month's bill since turning on the system is amazing, 11% of same month a year ago!

Most pleased with Sunny Energy. From the initial contact by the sales promoter, through the offer presentation, the installation and authorization, and up until the final walkthrough (very clear explanation, thank you!), access to information and updates was always there. The plan was executed timely and seamlessly, the company has it all figured out for customer satisfaction.

While exploring solar company options I learned about Sunny Energy through one of my neighbors who used them and gave them a great recommendation. I also did my homework checking out other viable companies as well. I decided to go with Solar Energy because they had great reviews, do everything in house from installation to servicing the equipment after installation if there is a problem, had a competitive price and I liked the reviews on the solar and inverter brands they sell. My salesperson, David Vernon, had the patience of a saint answering my many questions. I felt as if I was getting straight answers to all my questions. The whole process from getting the estimate, signing the contract, getting permits (done by Sunny Energy), installation and activating the system has been very trouble free. Every person with whom I dealt at Sunny Energy was responsive, polite, professional, knowledgeable and competent.

Sunny Energy was not my first choice for solar as I was shopping around to see what company would work for me. First, I decided to pick a company that was also my home security system and was sold on the ideas and plans presented to me. I did a little research on the company and saw that they were in the process of a merger or acquisition, and alarm bells started to go off. I continued to hope for the best and stayed with my previous chosen company, and let me tell you, the 9-month mistake was what followed. Dealing with the company meant no follow-up on my projects and no human to call to get an idea of the progress. The ultimate kicker was an employee lying to me, stating that they submitted a permit months prior, only to find out that it was also untrue. Fast forward, I fired that company and began the search. I learned my lesson and conducted more profound research before reaching out to a company and was surprised at how well-known and well-rated Sunny Energy is. “Why didn’t I pick them first?” I called the company, and within the first week, I had a contract, plans, and permits submitted. Whoa! So, this is how it’s supposed to work! I initiated my solar system on October 7th, and by December 2nd, the panels were installed, PTO’d, and making power by January 13th! The most extended wait was the HOA approval, seriously. Nonstop, I had emails, text messages, and calls from ACTUAL PEOPLE that kept me updated on the progress. I had access to a portal where I could check everything on my own; individuals taught me how to monitor my production and the app details to always be in the know. The moral of the story, search for the best company instead of the easiest. That search will lead you to Sunny Energy every time!

An outstanding experience. Justyn, my sales rep, went out of his way to alleviate all my concerns. The installation and operation has gone without a hitch. I highly recommend this company and will be telling anyone who asks about the panels on my roof just how great my experience was.

David Vernon was an excellent representative for the company and was the salesman for our system. He was able to answer any question I had in the beginning and made me feel comfortable with our purchase. Although the entire process (permitting, install, inspection, PTO) took a little bit longer than anticipated, I'm happy with the end product.

Sunny Energy LLC is the absolute best solar company out there! From their sales team, Sean Turgeon, to the installation team, inspection team, design team, to the account management team, overseen by Michael McCaffrey, everyone is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to help ensure all questions are answered and that you're aware of every step taking place. I was totally against solar, and now am reaping the benefits of earning monthly APS credits. Please give this company a chance to provide a consult for you and I promise you won't regret it.

I have been up and running for almost a full month. The process is smooth, they take care of everything from financing partners and permitting all the way to completion. You can follow along online, so you know what to expect. David Vernon was my salesman, and he is knowledgeable of everything you would want to know. No pressure and the pricing is great for quality components and service. Everything was completed within 80 days! If you are not familiar with solar, be sure to ask lots of questions. They will educate you. After the permitting process, the install went quick... they arrived at 7 am and were done by 11:30. I am super happy with everything. I am able to monitor production from anywhere with an app. The great part is that is the system producing more than anticipated from the design by 10% which is about 52 % more energy than I am consuming !!! Sunny Energy is a one stop Solar company based in Arizona and has outstanding reviews. I had one minor hiccup with my install, my fault, and they corrected it quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Sunny Energy, from installation, service and warranty, they do it all in house with just one number to call!

Sunny Energy has been an excellent company to work with right from the beginning. After talking to David, who was so kind to spend so much time answering my questions, definitely helped me make the decision to go with them. A big thank you to the designers, installers and technicians to the final walk through with Michael and follow up with Melanie Customer Service Manager. If I could give them more than a 5-star rating, I would do that. My only negative comment would be on the scheduling. While 99% of the time the schedule coincided with mine, there was an incident where the technicians came earlier than the scheduled time and I wasn’t ready for them. I was able to share my comments with Melanie for follow up. However, this would not stop me from still giving them a 5-star rating. Sunny Energy is an outstanding company. I liked the fact they hire their own employees rather than outsourcing. The website they have allows you to follow the progress of your project. This was very important for me to have as I was out of state for two months when this project started. It allowed me to stay on top of the progress that was being made. If there were any updates or issues, emails and texts were sent by them and if for some reason I needed to speak to someone, they were always available by phone. By the time I was back in the state they had everything ready for the install. They are also a very giving company in that they contribute to charitable organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Hospital. I am very happy I went this company and looking forward to many years of saving dollars on my electric bill. A big thank you to everyone who works with Sunny Energy!!!

Sunny employees are very knowledge and friendly about solar installations. I had my system installed for 2 months and am very satisfied so far.

These guys were great. Started the whole process in early July 2022 and everything was up and running by mid September. It took a village of people to text and e-mail me through the process and even more people to coordinate on-sight visits to connect with SRP. The installation was quick and easy, too. The last thing they did was spray paint the silver piping to match my house to please the HOA. Everyone I dealt with, throughout the process, were professional, efficient and fantastic. Highly recommend Sunny Energy.

It has been an amazing experience. I had solar panels with a different company before and comparing both, this time around we've felt more confident on our purchase with Sunny Energy. The price was doable, the installation went smoothly, and the after care program was phenomenal!

Our electric company, SRP, referred us to three solar companies when we began our search for a solar system with battery backup. We knew we’d made the right decision when Sunny Energy responded to my call within five minutes and only one of the other referrals contacted us about five days later. We began collaborating with Rich Mason at once to define and build our solar package. The entire process consisted of respect, courtesy, and professionalism from our first sales meeting, throughout the installation and final walkthrough meeting with Michael McCaffery and the Genrac Engineer. No question or concern was too insignificant. Each time, we were contacted by the proper individual and resolution was . We followed the process throughout on the customer portal. We would highly recommend you include Sunny Energy in your search for the best solar system for you. It was well worth every penny of our investment.

Sunny Energy was a delight to deal with. Everything went smoothly for the most part. The customer service went above and beyond to make everything correct as fast as possible. They show you step by step where you're at in the process. I would defiantly recommend them!!

Sunny Energy was a pleasure to work with. They quoted a system and then explained everything they quoted. They did not try to over sell and when I asked about installing a larger system, they explained why it was not worth the money. They took care of all the permits and permissions that were needed and filled out all the paperwork. The install team showed up on time and was fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Then Sunny Energy did a full follow up and once again explained how the whole system worked and operated. Great Job, very pleased.

Mr. Rodgers (the rep that came to our home) from Modern City Solar along with Sunny Energy LLC (I have come to find out is a sub dealer) installed a system on my home in 2017. Mr. Rodgers from Modern city convinced us to go with their Sunrun option. Our system since then has not covered our energy cost as promised. The system was underbuilt by a lot. We had a solar technician friend look at the system and he let us know that it was severely underbuilt. WE ARE STUCK WITH A LEASE WITH A 2.9 rate increase and come to find out we were overcharged for it as well. We are paying $92.31 a month on top of us $179.97. Giving us an effective monthly payment of $272.28 a month. WITH THAT 2.9 ESCALATOR!! After running the numbers, I would've had an average of around $176 without solar!! Had multiple solar reps verify where we would've been. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GROUP AND THEIR PARTNERS. Will be reporting all 3 to the BBB

After meeting with 4 solar providers I had researched, I selected Sunny Energy. We financed through them and the whole process was flawless from approval through installation. The Installation subcontractor did break one roof tile but assured me that was the only damage. Our 15kW system is amazing and after the first six months I have only the loan payment for electricity cost. In Arizona, that is a budget saver! My system has had NO issues and puts out a minimum of 20kWs per day over our usage. We ran into one issue at the one year walkthrough on our house, finding out that the subcontractor they used had broken 23 tiles. It is my understanding that this subcontractor was fired shortly after our installation. I contacted Sunny Energy about the problem. They understood, that as a homeowner, I would not have known about the damage if it weren’t for the builder 1 year walkthrough. They worked with me and were pleasant from the start. They repaired all the broken or damaged tiles, and did it within two weeks of contacting them. The main reason I am writing this review is because it is so hard to find a company that does it right and stands behind the product when a problem occurs. If you are looking for a solar system for your house, you would do well to go with Sunny Energy.

I did a lot of research before going with Sunny Energy. They kept me well informed throughout the entire process. I never felt like I was being upsold. They listened to me when I suggested changes to the design and layout. It was stressful to pick a solar company, but in the end I decided to go with a local company that has been around for a long time. I got several bids that were lower but I didn't trust the salesperson or the company as much. I'm glad I picked Sunny Energy. My panels are up and cranking out power. I'd recommend to a friend or family member.

They took care of everything!

In June of 2022 Sunny energy installed a 10.95kw DC solar system on my house consisting of 30 REC solar panels, 7.6kw Generac inverter, 4 optimizers, and a Generac PWCELL 18kwh Battery for a total cost of over $47 thousand. The system also provides emergency power for 6 critical circuits. All of the wiring conduit, switches, circuit breakers, meter boxes, etc. were included. A phone app and computer web app was provided for monitoring the performance of the system As of this writing, in the summer, the energy I am consuming from the power grid is near zero, and the battery still has 30% to 50% of charge remaining by morning. Winter will be more challenging, but I don’t have that data yet. Sunny Energy, is a real and honorable company. They did what they said they would do with no significant surprises. Their sales engineer was knowledgeable and answered many questions, better than 2 other companies I also considered. Their project management team is well organized and their web tool provided good project tracking. They handled all permits and interface with the electrical utility (APS). The installation team was capable, polite, and fast. Their customer service people were knowledgeable and responsive. I can honestly recommend them. There is a lot to learn and understand about any solar system of this type. It is not as simple as cutting a check and having free power for life. The long term reliability and maintenance costs are yet to be determined. The components of my system are of good quality from honorable suppliers with good warranties, but the future is unknown. The cost of replacing my roof, when it eventually wears out is unknown. The future cost of energy is probably higher, but unknown. For now, my electricity bill is minimal, but not zero. The credit I get from APS for the considerable amount of power I provide to the grid is also minimal, but not zero.

We’ve wanted Solar for awhile, and looked around at other companies, but the big draw was that Sunny does everything, other companies out source different parts of the instillation. From our first meeting, we knew when everything was going to happen. You get text or email, and you can also see how things are going via the Sunny Portal. Everyone turned up on time, there was no mess left behind, and I lost no power for any length of time (well I lost power for 10 seconds when a meter was switched out)

Update- We have had Solar Energy Panels installed through Sunny in 2021 and it May 2022 and we love paying no electricity bills so far

I feel truly blessed to have gone with Sunny Energy for my solar power! I was on the cusp of making a bad investment with another company for my solar needs and, truly Justin and Phoenix (Sunny Energy sales reps), really gave me the peace of mind that I made the right decision with them! They provided transparent, honest, sincere, and accurate information about the products they use, the services they provide, and the accessibility to them. They are local, not a third party seller like most other solar companies, they stand behind their product and the customer service at all stages and departments of their company is impeccable! From the owner down to the ground workers, they have been professional, kind, informative, and consistent across the board! To be honest, I really feel like they are family, and not a one in a life time sales pitch. They really do care! They are thorough in their approach and really want to provide a win win solution to everyone involved! I absolutely love that about them! I highly suggest Sunny Energy for solar, they are a wonderful bunch of people! How they have helped me and my family, I wish the blessings come in abundance for them ten fold! We performed extensive research on Solar companies in Arizona and narrowed it down to our top three with quality, warranty, cost and reputation as our highest priorities. Solar Energy was at the top of our list due to their reputation and quality of materials. Not all are the same. The panels made in Norway and electronics in South Korea for the most part. Not the cheapest bid we received, but not the most either. All were within a couple thousand of each other. The warranties were as good or better than the others. The whole process with Solar Energy was seamless, their communications were great, their software and monitoring programs and apps are top notch and easy to use. They handled all aspects of the installation including dealing with permits, the city, the electric company and the HOA. Commissioning the system was excellent and their follow up orientation, operating instructions and customer service was exemplary. A special thanks to David V, Michael M and Maria M for making this a truly easy and enjoyable process.
