At last the saga ends. Not the fault of SunLux.

An install of solar and battery. The solar went in April 2021 Everything went well and my project manager and installers were excellent. It has been working well for over a year so far. No problems. Battery (Tesla) was not available until April 2022. Same thing, project manager (Erika Garcia) this time did an excellent job as did the installers. So as of June 8th 2022 Everything is running well. Well done to all involved.

Solid Company with Good People

There is always room for improvement, but despite supply chain issues and city permitting being out of their control, they were in constant communication the whole way. I worked with Chris Dillard on the front-end and Alex Van Der Colff on the project side. Both were excellent. Installers and technician for inspection were professional and took time to explain the process.

I would recommend Sunlux. I had a new roof installed and solar panels. They did a wonderful job. The company is very professional and they kept me informed through out the entire process. A big thanks to Fernando and Erika.

Indeed Sunlux are Solar Professionals

(Few Tips and Checks to Look For) My overall experience with Sunlux from sales to project completion has been great! Gary “Don” Lupo was my salesperson. His sales presentation included all the info that required me to choose a contractor. Besides, Don was always available to listen and give advice to any of my concerns throughout the project lifecycle. My project manager was Erika Garcia. She was thorough in everything she did from project initiation to closeout, including HOA coordination and making sure my solar installation was completed on time in a professional manner. The Sunlux contract had all activities listed in a step-by-step process with estimated durations. This helped me understand what activity would come next and how long would it take to get it completed. Contract signed in 9/2021. Due to Covid, my HOA approval took almost a month to complete which delayed the city and fire approvals. After materials were ordered, the solar installation took just 1.5 days. Main Service Panel installation took a few weeks to complete since after each step a city inspection was required. I was ok with the stucco and lathe completion delays due to heavy rain. SCE PTO approval was the most critical one, which took less than (3) days to complete. I had my solar connected to SCE before the end of 12/2021. I am glad I chose Sunlux for my Main Service Panel upgrade and Solar System installation. I recommend them to anyone! Tips and Checks to consider: Request (3) quotes. Decide your expectations such as solar system size, panel types/size, count and placement of panels on the roof, and most important warranties. Do No Hurry to select a contractor. Read the contract twice to make sure you are getting everything you were offered at the time of sale to avoid any changes later. Ask for a “final-final-final” drawing, as last-minute changes are common in this profession. Take before and after photos of your solar installation. In my opinion, a contractor can get away with a change they made without informing you, but if you happen to make any changes later, then that will be considered as a change order costing you a little bit of fortune! Make sure to ask for all final documents that you as a homeowner should keep for future use, i.e. Utility NEM and PTO agreements, photos, city approvals, any warranty doc, and stamped drawings. Neither the Utility nor the City will retain these documents. Excellent from beginning to end!

Sales consultant (Bill Young) was professional, super knowledgeable, courteous & assertive without the pushy sales tactics. Everyone from the office to installers on the jobsite, were friendly and completed the job with professionalism. This project is almost complete and waiting on City approval. Great experience.

Extremely unhappy. project still no completed.

Need to have 3 things completed. 1. Stucco repairs pending - been waiting 2 weeks for repairs to stucco. after that will need to get it painted 2. Electric meter glass dome. used to be able to see the meter working. now i cannot. i cannot see through it. need a new one. 3. still have not had any luck getting the wifi connection and app set up. i was told this was going to be easy, but its been nothing but trouble. Coordinator has sent a video, and an app download, but I cannot see my panels.

First rate service

I felt thoroughly taken care of at every step of the process of purchasing and installing solar panels. This process is entirely new to me and Alex at Sunlux made the journey simple to understand and took his time to make sure I was fully informed at all times. Dealing with local municipalities can be a slow and confusing process and alex stayed on top of it for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sunlux to a friend. Great solar installation

Alex was in touch with me every step of the way throughout the process. It was a long process, but Alex informed me of this ahead of time. The installation proceeded smoothly, often without us having to be home. I am very pleased with my new "greener" house. Thank you Alex and Sunlux.

Our experience with Sunlux was very good from start to finish. Don explained how we can benefit from solar and very thorough in explaining the difference between leasing and buying our solar panels. We opted to purchase the system which made more sense to us. Our project manager, Erik was in constant contact with is guiding us every step of the way. He was quick to respond by text, email or phone. The installation took 1.5 days and the system was operational when the crew left. The city inspection took a couple of weeks, but that’s on the city not Sunlux. I have already recommended Sunlux

Exceptional service from Jerry Hong

I'm so glad to have found Jerry from Sunlux. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable and customer orientated person. He will explain all the pros and cons on choosing different equipments and offer his suggestion on what's best for the customer and not trying to sell every equipments. His initial presentation was full of information and he prepared the proposal the next day morning and the office team also provided all the documents within the same day. I am extremely impressed by their efficiency. They also have great pricing compared to other companies. I would highly recommend Jerry to anyone.

I had an all-round good experience with Sunlux. They were very responsive to any questions I had, made some changes to their plans around what I wanted, even after the project was started. All-round good vibe.

Chris the sales rep and Berlyn the project manager at Sunlux proved to be responsible,easily accessible and trustworthy. I did a lot of prep scoping out solar installers and I am so pleased that I went with Sunlux.i will recommend Sunlux as a solar installer to my friends and family without hesitation!

So disappointed

From the beginning this company was doing an awesome job, from the first time we had a zoom meeting. The sales rep Chris was honest and I was convinced I have found the right solar company. That was back in November then LG went out of business and solar panels and the updated my panels to the new Teslas. Customer service my project manager was keeping me informed every week. Until March 25 when I called that were to be there for final inspection and nobody showed up so I call my project manager and she told me the city had canceled and supposedly the city called them. At 7:00 AM to notify that they expect to call in sick. So I decided to call the city of Norwalk I’m pretty familiar with the city permits in building and they told me I never had a had an appointment for inspection but they were willing to do it on Monday. So I call back my project manager and then she told me that somebody HRA call me on the 23rd to notify that there was no appointment for today. Well that’s a lie because normally they will email me or call me and any changes I have no email no calls. I have put complain and Penny and today is March 30 and I still have not received a call from the company Sunlux. They got their money I guess this is what I’m expecting if I ever have issues with my solar panels. I have a lot of family members and friends they were really to go with this company but now they hear my frustration and they’re planning to go on a different direction

Seamless installation process

Sunlux was great to work with from project quote to planning and installing. Don was extremely informative through the initial process and Alex was organized and helpful through the entire project. Installation crew operated safely and efficiently to get my system up and running.

Solar Experience

My experience with Sunlux was excellent. The sales to project manager to installers were very knowlegeable and very helpful every step of the way. When searching for solar companies the other companies seemed to lack the knowledge and expertise of Sunlux. I highly recommend this company !!!!!

Top notch service in LA!

With many solar providers in the LA area we did our research. Sunlux had some great reviews and after speaking with Fernando we felt they had the best offer and guarantee. The experience and service Alex VC offered was exceptional. There are many steps to ensuring the project comes online, is to code, and available rebates are pursued. Alex was there every step of the way with prompt, insightful and courteous support via phone, text and email. Even with the pandemic adding some logistical and coordination hurdles, Alex did not miss a beat. The install went smooth, the permitting and inspections as well. A great experience from start to finish.

Overall good company

Planning and communication from sales and through the end was excellent. Had a bit of an issue with the installers creating some minor damage to a gutter and some splitting of the wood eaves. Homeowner should not have to be the one to find the damage; rather some person on the job should be designated for quality inspection and to inform the homeowner when damaged is done and the remedy. Our project manager Alex was excellent and professional keeping us well-informed along the progress. Alex especially ensured a quick turn around on repairs. The company overall is well organized and excels at communicating along the way, which is great and necessary for an A+ reputation and the longevity of the company. Thank you SunLux

Exactly as advertised

I selected Sunlux as a potential source due to many positive reviews on many sites. I also selected two other vendors. After in depth consultations Sunlux rose above the others through the efforts of Gary Lupo who impressed me with his knowledge and willingness to educate me and answer every question. This attention to detail was continued by Project Manager Alex van Der Colff as he explained the project plan and general time frames. Alex communicated regularly regarding our project timeline and answered any questions I had. In summary the installation process occurred just as it had been explained. "AS ADVERTISED". I must also add that the installers, technicians and administrative personnel were personable and professional. In summary I was completely satisfied with every facet of my solar project.
