Sunfusion Solar

Well I wish I would have read the Yelp Reviews BEFORE I hired and paid SunFusion for my home solar & battery backup system. A guy named River came out and promised me the world. Then Walt the owner came out to close the deal. He seemed convincing enough that I signed a contract for my home and office. I paid large down payments - luckily on credit cards. Before the sale they returned calls and contacted me regularly to make the purchase. IMMEDIATELY after the purchase the communication stopped. I called, wrote emails and barely got any response and when I did it was always some response to kick the can down the road - some excuse as to why things weren't getting done. Finally, I remembered that I had placed the down payments on my credit cards. I disputed the charges and within a day SunFusion came to life and were responsive. BUT they were sneaky snakes in the way they performed. The contract was to include solar and battery backup for my home as well as a structure to be built for 6 panels. The day came for my home system to be installed and SunFusion showed up late - probably intentionally. They had their trucks and a huge crew to do the install and asked immediately for a check (over $27,000). I gave them the check as they began to install the battery in the garage not knowing they did not have the rest of the solar system promised in the contract with them. I got home to find no panels or structure. I immediately contacted Walt who said that because the price of materials had gone up they were not going to do it until prices came down. WHAT??? The$12K down payment was to secure materials...WTF??? I then really disputed the credit card payments hard with my credit card companies. That process takes a lot of time at the card companies. It is ongoing - but Once I did that, SunFusion went dormant again. I have sent them multiple emails which they have ignored. They have not done anything at all at my office and they have over $20K of a deposit for that job. If my credit card does not reverse that charge, I am going to have to sue SunFusion. They have only done half the job at my house and have been overpaid for what they've done so far. I have told SunFusion multiple times to simply do the work in the contract as outlined and I will pay them in full for everything. They are not a reputable company and do not operate ethically at all. Find someone else to do your battery backup system - SunFusion will rip you off.

installed american made panels with micro-inverters under every panel, we also received a 25-year installation system warranty. We got several bids from top solar contractors and we went with Sunfusion with 9 years of service and a wholesale price.

Although I didn't think I would be buying solar panels, I ended up doing just that, and I am so glad I did. I met with Jerry, the salesman, because I knew him and trusted him to educate me about solar. Not only did he educate me, but he showed me that, based on my usage, it would be economical to purchase solar panels (and go with Net Metering) and even increase my property value at the same time. The crew that installed the system was great, and I was shown by two different people how to turn the system on once it was time to do so. Sandy and Walter were great to work with, and Walter even made sure I was set up with access to a website where I can monitor my solar production. They sell quality equipment, and offer a terrific warranty. I’m glad that Sun Fusion now sells systems instead of just installing them for other companies. Otherwise, I might not have gone solar yet.

Sunfusion Solar wasn't our initial installer, however, they "inherited" our faulty inverter. We have never been more impressed by a company. Walter kept in contact with us, came to our house, answered every question and persisted until we were finally up and running again. He helped us every step of the "very long and frustrating" way! We honestly don't know how much longer we would have been without solar if Walter hadn't been there to help us! Thank you!

Best deal and best service in town. Walter personally visited our home to ensure all work is top notch and to specs. Don't waste your time looking for a better company to work with for your solar needs. They use only the latest and best solar equipment money can buy.

Really great customer service. Answered all our questions. Did everything they said they would do from permits, inspections and setting up the computer registration. I would definitely recommend Sun Fusion to all my friends and family!

Walter was the installation supervisor for my solar system when he was working for another company. That company has since pulled out of the consumer/home solar market. Walter has continued to provide incredible support for me and my system with his own company. Without him and his outstanding folks I would have been stuck looking for someone who could repair my system when I had a component failure. Sunfusion has stood behind my solar system even though it wasn't even involved in the installation. Thank you Walter!

After reading SDG&E plan to hike up rates this fall as much as 30% I sent off an email to Walter at Sunfusion. We had a recommendation from a coworker. So glad we made the call. Their quite was much less than others, but with quality components. Also no hassle. Once the contract was signed the plans were approved in a couple of weeks and the install for a 4.5 KW system took 1.5 days! Approval by the city two days later and an OK by Sempra 3 days after that to turn the system on. I had heard it could take months before everything was complete. Less than a month for us! Would definitely recommend Sunfusion. With a nothing down loan we will be saving money right from the start. 25 year savings should be around $70,000.

Sun Fusion went out of their way to provide my H.O.A. with an engineering report "prior" to signing contract. When the LG300 panels were not available, Sun Fusion added additional LG280 panels- exceeding the kW output at "no" additional cost. A great company to work with!

SunFusion provided an engineering study requested by my HOA before signing a contract. Other solar companies wouldn't. Walter tailored a PV system to meet my needs instead of trying to sell one with excess capacity (more cost). Overall, I was very impressed with this company!

We have never looked back since installing solar. Don't get a bill from SDGE and make ample power for our needs. SunFusion was excellent to work with, they got it installed quickly. We kept laughing at other residences around us, going with other companies as their installations took months. Thank you SunFusion for great service :)

No hassle installation, all permits, on site modifications done to perfection. The job is not done until you are satisfied 100 percent! Any warranty issues are handled in a timely manner without question. Worry free energy was never any easier.

They have made the whole process so easy that I wish I have done this sooner. They are efficient, reliable and I would recommend them highly

Sunfusion Solar provided many options and were able to find a good match for all my needs. There was a little delay in starting work due to availability of the new M215`s. However all work was completed prior by the scheduled date. We were kept well informed about the progress. My system is performing well above the PVWatts2.0 estimate and the price was great. The best thing about them is easy sales pitch, no hard sell, no to get this price you must buy today! Just straight talk ... and left it up to me. I looked at 13 vendors prior to selecting SunFusion. The panels that were ordered did not come in a timely manner. This was not our providers fault, and they took care of it. We are very pleased with the service Sun Fusion (Walter and Sandy Ellard) provided.
