I had very smooth experience from start to finish. It was my first time installing solar panels and SunBlue was great at answering my questions. They were also responsive whenever I wanted to ask anything. As for the installation, they were incredibly fast and finished in just a few days. Everything got approved by my town so I'm very happy with it.

After removing several large trees on our property, we decided to consider solar which was not an option previously. A neighbor directed us towards SunBlue and I am very pleased we went with them. Chris came out to the house to sit down and walk through everything and provide an initial estimate. After that we paused for several months during which time SunBlue only reached out once to see if any additional information was required. They never put the high-pressure sale on us. Once we moved forward, they took care of planning, permits, and schedule. Whether it was dealing with Chris, Erin, or Marla it was always quick and helpful responses. The crew that did the install was first rate, professional, friendly and completed the job on schedule and to our satisfaction. Now that we are up and running, we enjoy the ease of monitoring with the application and love that the configuration covers all our electricity needs as well as continued support and fast responses to any questions we may have. This will be our eighth summer with a SunBlue solar installed system. It's a 43-panel system (in two sections) that exceeds our electric usage, which means we never pay for electric usage through our local provider. We also love the real-time monitoring app so we can watch the production. They also took care of securing all the info we needed to take advantage of the tax credits.

System installed about a year ago and could not be happier. It's producing equal to or above the designed output. SunBlue made the process very easy and were on time and schedule throughout the entire install. Also, when you need something, you call SunBlue and they are local, not a call center. I had to call at the start as one panel was producing but not reporting, they fixed it within hours.

Our panels were installed in 2013. A strong bid, very smooth process, great people to work with. Now, years and years later, we've no regrets at all! The system has more than paid for itself and is contributing "fuel" to our EV. We've had no issues with the system, which continues to deliver above estimated. We had SunBlue install a 35 panel 12 kW solar system at our home in Westchester in 2019. The output of our system has been consistent, with the metrics available to us from our SolarEdge Inverter showing daily, monthly, and yearly metrics on electric production. We looked at a few different installers. We chose SunBlue as they were local and did not rely on high pressure or scare tactics in their sales process. We were looking for a company with a track record, so we'd know they'd be around in the future if something were to go wrong, or to service a warranty issue. We've only had one very minor issue with the inverter's connectivity, and that was fixed by SunBlue quickly. The installers were friendly and efficient, and our install blends into the roof as best as possible. The equipment conduit ran down the side of the home. Overall I had a positive experience with SunBlue. I like to wait some time before writing reviews, as sometimes the post-install experience is more important that the actual install. I think that SunBlue is a solid choice for solar installation.

I really liked working with Sunblue. I enjoy getting into the details of solar energy to compare and contrast with alternative solar providers. When I compared Sunblue to the competition they were clearly much more knowledge of the pros and cons of their approaches (they didn't sugar coat things, but instead gave me an informed opinion.) They even helped guide me through getting a new roof. When I spoke to the independent roofing company about who they think does good solar work, they mentioned SunBlue. It was a great experience. They handled all of the inspection work and setup me perfectly.

We have been using SunBlue Energy solar panels and service for seven years. Before selecting a solar provider, we conducted extensive online research before reaching out to solar companies for consultation. We brought in two well known national companies and SunBlue Energy, ( a local company ). The national companies made pitches that were not convincing and their point of reference was more about their needs than our needs. I found a reference for SunBlue online and we gave them an opportunity. SO glad that we did. The sales process was a true consultation not a pitch. Jonathan listened closely to our needs and addressed all of our questions promptly and professionally. We have had only one minor software issue in seven years and the SunBlue team responded immediately. The issue was resolved in a few hours. We saw the cost saving results of going green immediately. Our solar array continues to produce and the installation and roof penetrations are holding up well. We've been very happy with the panels and appreciated the ease and comfort we found working with the salesperson and installers. Everything went in quickly and as described and everything tied up in a bow in terms of ConEd and the NYC DOB. We're really happy with the whole thing and the price was right, having gotten several estimates.

We started our solar panel install journey about a year ago. After multiple estimates from the big solar companies we were lucky to find SunBlue Energy through our roofing contractor. All the big companies were telling us we can fit 25-26 panels on our roof, basically taking up every inch of space. We would have had big problems if we proceeded with those guys. Chris Hale from SunBlue explained to us that every village and town in the area has their own fire codes when it comes to solar panels on roof. Setbacks from ridge and sides is mandatory for pathways should there be a fire emergency. Chris was able to get us 22 panels at a great price and gave us a modest estimate of solar production. We are 8 months in and our highest ConEd bill is $30.86. We used to average $215 a month. Our system has had zero issues and runs flawlessly every day thanks to the great install crew. And everyone that works in the offices are always there to help and respon to any emails promptly. I can’t recommend SunBlue Energy enough.

After wasting weeks dealing with their red-tape, high price quotes and unaccommodating staff, I decided to find a local company who wanted my business and was easier to deal with. I checked out more than a dozen companies before finding SunBlue and was pleasantly surprised. Their prices are competitive, their staff is courteous and the owner, Chris Hale, is a great guy who is exceptionally knowledgeable. I had them install a 55 panel system on my home and the process was smooth from beginning to end. The quality of their work was excellent and they handled every aspect of the job including permits, inspections, etc.. My panels are now offsetting 100% of my electricity usage so I’m enjoying huge savings on my ConEd bill. If you’re thinking of going solar, don’t waste your time shopping around—just go with SunBlue and get the job done right.

SunBlue was professional. The setup was quick and professionally done. I'm an electrical engineer, so I was checked the work done - and was quite happy with all of it. Their quote was priced competitively, and the team is very friendly and easy to work with. They also did a great job handling to city bureaucracy, so that process was very hands off for me. Sales agent also had great hands on knowledge of the system and tech (not common among solar sales people), and also understood the financials involved.

I had been looking for a solar company to install in Connecticut. I had done my research and hired another company who did not follow through. I was then referred to Chris Hale at Sunblue energy and he and Jonathan were excellent. My system was installed ahead of schedule but it is not running yet due to Eversource. When we did a trial run, we were producing an excellent amount of energy and we can't wait to turn the system on. Furthermore, when we were deciding on which panels, Chris was very honest about which made sense and were cost effective since we have a big roof. I highly recommend Sunblue

SunBlue Energy was very efficient in getting back to us in order to place solar panels on our home. They were efficient and were great at answering all our questions. We’ve had the panels installed and they work better than promised!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this amazing family owned company. Chris and the rest of the staff were so professional, knowledgeable, and walked us through the entire process of getting solar for our home. We started in May 2020 with Chris, the owner, doing a full presentation of different options based on our roof and solar potential. Many times you get a quote from a solar company, it's usually a sales rep who is just simply trying to sell you something and then bother you every day with incessant calls. Chris was clear in their approach and laid out concrete proposals and left it up for us to decide. The installation process was smooth and done over two days in August 2020 and we were cleared by Orange and Rockland Utilities the same month. All the paperwork, permitting, and proposal submission was done by SubBlue leaving the only part to us was financing, getting 0% financing through NYSERDA before it ended in June 2020. The team at SunBlue do an excellent job, clean installation, and are truly dedicated to making it work with the customer. My advice to anyone going solar is to do your research and don't settle with someone just based on price. Ask yourself, will that company stand behind it's warranty? Will they address issues promptly? Will they have parts available in case something needs to be replaced? (**cough Tesla **cough**) SunBlue does, and goes even further beyond. They are the real deal and you won't be disappointed.

Most solar installers offer competitive prices, but I found Chris Hale and his team were best at customer service. They always replied promptly to my emails, they always showed up on time and followed through on what they promised, and they did quality work.

We got our system installed on-time, on-budget, as-promised. Jonathan, Chris, Marla, and Kim are all terrific. I ran a pretty thorough bid (7 different companies), and SunBlue had the best panels and the best overall value. Very responsive throughout the process. The Enphase monitoring app runs correctly (I check it every day to see our peak power level--I may stop doing that in a year or so!). I would gladly recommend SunBlue to others.

I shopped around and interviewed with several companies before choosing SunBlue Energy. Their quote is competitive. Their salesman (Jonathan) is polite, responsive, not pushy, and patient. The owner (Chris) also comes out to meet us a couple of times and is very reachable. Getting our solar project done is a long process, especially in my city. Took 6 months from contract signing to finally being connected and producing our own electricity (still waiting on the final inspection with the city). Jonathan, Chris, Marla, and the entire SunBlue team have been excellent with communicating, answering questions, and getting our problems solved thus far. I installed my SunBlue system a few year back. The monitoring service as promised has never worked . Only way to tell if the system is working is by walking outside to access the inverter . After multiple attempts to repair and being asked to purchase a $350+ add on unit for my electrical panel ; they have yet to install the added hardware after 6 months of regular requests .

The whole process from the very beginning was informative and explained fully. The team that showed up for the installation was professional and completed the work quickly and neatly. We are happy with the whole process overall and look forward to saving money.

We found SunBlue Energy through our roofing contractor, and the SunBlue team worked seamlessly with the roof installation. Chris and Jonathan were incredibly thorough in developing the proposed system, and the cost estimate. They explained everything clearly. Their estimate was in-line with other estimates I had received. They took care of arranging all of the permits, inspections, etc. Installation took just 2 days, and the system works as promised. Jonathan provided a detailed post-installation briefing and presented me with a binder containing all of the spec sheets, warranties, permits and other details. The system has been online an active for about a year and it is performing better than expected. my 1 panels produce %100 of my electric. it's nice to see my electric bill negative (they owe me) most of the time

The process of evaluating and implementing a solar power system on the roof of our Tarrytown home was a pleasure with Chris, Jon and the team at Sun Blue. I felt confident that we made the right choice in both the scale of the system and our decision to buy, although lease options were clearly explained. Sun Blue took care of all the details, permits, tax forms etc. and were both responsive and informative when we had any questions. The system was fully explained to us and we received a well organized personal binder with all the relevant info on our investment. Now that the system is up an running, I feel really good knowing that they are a local vendor and right around the corner, in case we need them.

SunBlue did a fantastic job from beginning to end. There are many moving parts when installing solar panels from the various paperwork that needs to be filed, dealing with the town inspectors, coordinating with Con Ed, and of course installing the panels and getting the panels on line. Chris and Jonathan of SunBlue were very responsive and easy to work with. Truth be told I first considered using Telsa but I went with SunBlue and I am extremely happy with my decision. Right from the start I was having problems with Telsa to respond and they provided me a 1-800 call center number. SunBlue on the other hand came to the house if there were any issues and they would call me to follow up. I highly recommend SunBlue!

After meeting with several solar installers, we decided to pick SunBlue Energy to install our system. The process from start to finish was hassle free. SunBlue performed the work in a timely and professional manner. The installation was finished in 2.5 days. Any questions we had along the way were always answered promptly. We are very happy with our choice, and we recommend SunBlue Energy to people who want a quality product and service.

As with any effort to choose the right contractor for a home improvement project, picking a solar installation company is a time consuming and difficult task. I investigated almost half a dozen solar companies and ended up choosing SunBlue Energy for my home in Rockland. I was lucky to have made the right choice. I say "lucky" because you don't really know until you pick one and have them do the work. Until then, it's a crap shoot. In all honesty, I don't think any solar company out there could be better than SunBlue; they were the best in all categories - price, technical knowledge, quality of workmanship/materials, professionalism, and support after project completion. The installers were great, and the owner, Chris Hale, oversaw everything. Here's why you have to be careful. One of the solar installers I almost selected couldn't answer important technical questions, pushed to do the installation before permits were obtained, and then tried to extort almost $8,000 from me without doing any work at my home, forcing me to file a complaint with our local Consumer Protection Agency. I have some minor suggestions that would take SunBlue from close to perfect to 100% perfect, but keep in mind this is really splitting hairs. When the panels are being installed on the racks, clean gloves should be worn by the installers to avoid hand prints on the front surface of the panels (I noticed the hand prints only because I was an optics specialist at one time). Less tension should be placed on the wiring that runs between panels (I mentioned this to the installers and they said they would go back and make adjustments.) And finally, SunBlue forgot to tell me when my utility interconnection was complete, so my system was up and running many days before I knew about it. But these minor issues do not detract from the otherwise great work done by SunBlue. The moral of the story is that it does make a difference which company you use, and after a lot of research, home site surveys, and agony deciding which company to use, I made the right choice with SunBlue. Save yourself a lot of time and trouble - use SunBlue.
