Southern Solar installed solar panels on my roof in 2020. 1st 2 years they were sending Tech for not functioning the system but gradually they became lazy. Now, in 2025 nobody is responding to complaints of system became nonfunctional. Since 1st March 2025 I registered my complaint and since then I been calling and leaving voicemail regularly but no response. I am thinking to put a lawsuit against them.

My name is Stephanie Kabala, and this is my story. In the close to a year and a half that I have had to deal with Southern Solar, I was subjected by their sales reps and team to physical intimidation, sexual harassment, and further hurtful communication when they didn’t get the signatures they needed. Southern Solar obviously lied to us about what our potential system could deliver (we are not the first victims – a quick google search proves it), threw up a clearly unsafe system that endangered our twelve-year old daughter, and shifted to a strategy of lawfare after it became clear they didn’t have our consent to successfully install solar panels. For almost a year and a half, Southern Solar has terrorized me and my family. Because of the trauma they inflicted on me, I have a hard time staying at our residence in Dublin where my husband spends most of his time because of work. This has impacted me professionally, made it harder to parent our sweet 12-year-old daughter, and turned our family life upside down. Don’t let this company into your home!

I had these people install some solar panels on my house November 2023 nothing happened. I didn’t hear a word from them for six months and then all of a sudden they turned on and I started getting a bill from the finance company now the solar panels aren’t doing with the salesman said they were gonna do. I’m stuck with an extra bill every month on top of the electric bill that has not changed a bit. This whole experience has been the worst.

THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS. They have a fast-talking, shady salesman who will tell you anything to make a sale. Also, they were supposed to talk to their engineers to check how well the solar panels would perform. They don't have anyone to check anything; the only thing they want to do is take your money. Also, solar panels do not produce sufficient energy to power your house. Now, with the solar panels from Southern Solar, I'm paying double--THIS IS THE WORST DECISION I HAVE MADE IN ANY PURCHASE. If anyone is looking to purchase solar panels--do not purchase them for Southern Solar; they do not care.

My solar system does not work as intended or advertised. They have replaced all panels because the first panels didn’t work and I’m still not getting what was advertised. They also lied about solar credits from the government . Now, instead of giving me a system that works, they want to sell me additional panels. I have already filed with AAA arbitration and am currently seeking legal council. This system has saved me nothing and is no more than an extra bill added on to my already high electric bill. DO NOT USE THEM

Long story short, this company does not care about their customers. Calling them is very unpleasant. They prefer to do everything my email. No rebate received and still waiting for interconnection with my power company. They will not explain things clearly to my understanding. I am not getting what they promised! Unhappy all around!

Hi head Southern solar install my solar panels and my Generac generator three years ago and couldn’t be any happier. They did exactly what they said they would do in a timely manner, and my bills are in the negative.

Southern Solar was exceptional from beginning to end. Their customer service department was very knowledgeable, and were very flexible and accommodating when setting up my consultation. My technician was very profesional, took his time answering all my questions, and we are very pleased with our solar panels. You can tell they truly care about their costumers, and aren’t just consider another number! Definitely recommending the to all my family and friends!

Customer Service after the salesman got my signatures (who is no longer is employed by Solar) has been less than adequate. I did finally speak with the GM and was assured they would continue to monitor my system. I have not had one bit of followup since that phone call. What was impressed/sold was that I would be 100% solar dependent - as it is, I have been 20-40% grid dependent since my system went online. I too was convinced the salesman would walk hand-in-hand throughout the installation which did not happen. Even if the salesman left the company, someone should have taken up the slack. Per the agreement with Southern Solar, I was to receive $2000 rebate which still has not happened. I am contacting the office to hopefully get someone to talk with me. As it is, this is the biggest mistake I've made - the payments on the solar system are higher than my electrical bill pre-solar panel and will increase in 2024. What was represented certainly has not happened. Very dissappointed - contemplated adding solar to 2 other houses...have completely decided I will NEVER add solar going forward. Wish I could roll back the hands of time.

Steer clear of this company, they will lie from the very beginning. After you have purchased a Solar System and once it's installed that's it! If you have any issues with the system it will take them forever to fix the issue, they will come when and if they feel like it. Forget about calling, they rarely answer the phone and if they do you will be met with rude, terrible customer service from Jai Correa or Caitlin. So if you have a problem with their slow response to fix, address an issue and you the customer have been waiting for a response and when you finally get them on the phone don't show your frustration or Caitlin will hang up on you, that should tell you about the quality of people, and service you will receive from Southern Solar. The real reviews are with the BBB, and other places on Google you will see that there are many people who have similar issues with this company. If you are thinking about a Solar System, find another company Southern Solar isn't it. My patience have worn thin, this company does not honor it's word, nor warranty. I've had issues with my Solar System since May, it's September and it's still not completely fixed. STAY AWAY from Southern Solar!

The experience with this company has been horrible. Please compare and shop around. They installed panels at my home in Universal City and I encountered delay after delay. They blamed the delays on CPS when it was their own negligence in submitting the proper paperwork to get our service commissioned. I called and they tried to make things right by offering to pay for one months payment that was already due on the loan for the panels. Months went by and I still did not have my service connected. I wrote a bad review and someone called me and offered me money in exchange for removal of my review. I made 8 payments on my loan before they corrected their paperwork. To make things WORST, they lied about our REBATE. They informed us that we would be receiving a CPS rebate and CPS informed us that the company is not registered with CPS in order for us to receive rebate. Do not use Southern Solar. They will say whatever they have to in order to make a sale.

Bought southern solar system. I told sales man to add 20 percent to whatever number of pannels they came up with, and I wanted 120% usage. So 1 year in and the system is not even doing 50%. for $80K not worth it, and office wont even answer emails. Highly discourage anyone from going with the company Also if you do a whole home genrator expect 6 month minimum wait time for install, I was not told this upfront.

The home we purchased last year had existing solar panels which were originally purchased through Southern Solar. After a destructive hail storm in June damaged many solar panels and the roof, we contacted Southern Solar to come out and take a look. We hired them to replace roofs on the main house, a pool house and a shed. They also replaced 9 damaged solar panels and 3 skylights. Chad Pickle and his team were a pleasure to work with and had great communication throughout the process. We would definitely recommend them.

The system does not work at all and they will not do anything about it. I have tried to call them for 8 weeks and they don't even answer the phone. This company is a bunch of Crooks. My electric bill has doubled

I will never ever have this outfits do work for us! I have tried calling reapetedly and nobody gets back to us! Don't use this company for solar! They don't get back to you and they rarely answer the phone! Please take my heed and find another solar company!
