Lack of Service

I have had a service case open since June 2026 to replace two underperforming panels. Unfortunately, both panels have now completely stopped working. I called today to request an update and was disappointed to learn that the service department is out for the remainder of the week and that someone may contact me sometime next week. After waiting since June, this response is extremely frustrating, especially now that the equipment is no longer functioning. I regularly see your commercials stating, “We leave no one behind.” As a combat veteran, those words resonate with me. However, after months of waiting for a resolution and now being told there is no immediate support available, I cannot help but feel left behind. I am requesting immediate attention to this matter, including a firm timeline for replacement of the failed panels and a clear point of contact who can provide updates until the issue is resolved. I have been patient throughout this process, but the current situation is unacceptable and requires urgent action. Thank you for your prompt response.

DO NOT RECOMMEND - BUYER BEWARE

We’ve had solar with Solar Negotiators for 7 years now. It has been only a source of lost time and frustration. The handling of any issue is either ignored or actively avoided. You have to chase them to fix panels, they will not reimburse any lost production if “the system produced within acceptable limits”. You are trapped once you purchase the system and they know it so they only do the bare minimum they are forced to do to stay within “contracted guidelines”. Don’t be an idiot like I was.

Used to Be a Great Company-Not Anymore!

I’m extremely disappointed with Solar Negotiators and the lack of communication throughout my project. My project manager, Idalia Cruz, repeatedly brushed me off and seemed to have no idea what was going on with my installation. On our first call, she said she was waiting for clearance from my contractor about a structure on my property. I stayed on top of everything because my solar loan was already approved and sitting in my account .I didn’t want to start paying for something that wasn’t even installed yet. At one point, I was paying my full PG&E bill and the first payment on my solar loan, yet I still wasn’t even on the schedule …which is why I kept calling and following up so much. After checking with my contractor, I learned he had already emailed Solar Negotiators a week earlier and never received a response. Only after I made another call did someone else from the company finally reach out and get me scheduled. The installation itself went fine, but once it was done, my system still wasn’t turned on. When I called Idalia again, she dismissed my concerns and told me it takes “about 30 business days” for PG&E approval something I was never told before. A week later, PG&E approved it, yet my system was still off. When I called again, Idalia sounded annoyed and told me they needed two weeks to “monitor the system” before closing out the project. How can you monitor a system that isn’t even on? Two more weeks went by, and only on the FINAL day of my contract did someone finally come out to turn my system on. It’s now been two weeks since then, and I still haven’t had a closeout meeting. I’m a returning customer and have referred several people to Solar Negotiators in the past, but I won’t be doing that anymore. The customer service has gone downhill since my first experience in 2020. It feels like the company has grown too fast and can’t handle the number of customers they take on, which shows in the lack of communication and care. Save yourself the headache and go with a different solar company

Promised the Moon, Given a Flashlight

At first we were VERY happy.....good service, great explanation, as long as SN knew the answers to our questions. BUT, as soon as we asked questions they did not have answers, all communications ceased. Totally unhappy with Solar Negotiators. We looked around at different places and THOUGHT we had invested in the right Solar Company. We were fooled. They promised us the moon, and gave us a flashlight. The worst aspect of this entire process, is that Solar Negotiators did not understand how Southern California Edison worked and sold the panels under the premise that SCE worked like PGE...unfortunately they are not similar at all. Therefore, we have been charged a great deal more by SCE than we were led to believe by Solar Negotiators. Had we known beforehand that SN did not know the SCE process, we never would have used them.

Everything was fine until the 5g upgrade. After upgrading, they found that my inverter was not working. I'm covered by warranty but it's been 22 days now with no solar. My systems hasn't produced in 7 months. Part of that is my fault because I didn't upgrade immediately. But after the problem was found, I asked when I would get a replacement. Solar negotiators said to ask solar edge because that's who the parts come from. Solar edge is a chat only company meaning u can't talk to a supervisor only chat with a worker. I was told 3-5 business days and they would ship. After 7 days I chatted that I need a supervisor. They said they would place me on a priority list. They said they warranty my product but dont warranty the time it takes to get the product. I then called solar negotiators back to request my money back for my upgrade and il pay it when I get service. The lady then said it's only been 22 days and parts can take up to 30 days. She also said someone would reach out to me. If they knew it would take 30 days, why have me call solar edge? So here I am 7 months and 22 days with no service and nobody has reached out to me. Great service in the beginning until you buy and have an issue. Highly disappointed.

FAULTY EQUIPMENT

We paid $63,400 for a solar system, with 2 battery backups, from Solar Negotiators. It's been almost 6 years and our system Still doesn't work!!! Every time that the grid goes down, our solar system goes down. They come out and say that it's fixed, until the next power outage. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM SOLAR NEGOTIATORS!!!

Very Disappointed

They emailed me to ask for this review. My rep Chuck did not explain the the process. It was not explained that I would have to get my own loan without their help. They took my $1000.00 deposit before a loan was secured and ran the permits etc. The loan didn't work out so we could not proceed with the solar. It was completely out of my control. When calling to get my $1000.00 refunded it took 3 weeks and many phone calls before they finally gave me the answer "The money was used for engineering and permits so there is nothing to refund". Mind you their Rep did not make sure the loan was secured before proceeding nor explain that I was to get a loan on my own. You took my money during a pandemic and gave us no services in return and then ran us around before telling us you wouldn't refund us. Then you ask me for a review? Seriously. Avoid these people very unprofessional.

Kept changing product

I heard all the commercials about Solar Negotiators, thought I’d give them a shot. Experienced several delays (on my end), but every time I’d call them about the quote it changed and they would change equipment claiming the new equipment was so much better than what they had quoted before. They told me they submitted a permit, but when I called the City Planning Office there had been no solar permits issued and this company hadn’t submitted plans. When I called the solar people out on it, they made up a BS excuse. I was unable to execute the contract due to financial reasons but received none of the $1,000 deposit back nor the plans that the $1,000 paid for. Scott Clark claimed the $1,000 was to cover the cost of the guy in the pickup that came to look at my roof and permit costs, but I confirmed with local city as well as county planning that no permit application had been submitted for my house. I have family connected to local planning Dept and they also confirmed no permit app submitted. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND Solar Negotiators. Feels like they’re out to squeeze all the money they can out of you.
