empty promises, faulty equipment. pretty bad customer service. pass the buck, never taking responsibility for their own inadequacies.

Although the process took longer than anticipated, we were very happy with Solar Liberty. They were very thorough with making sure that the panels would work on our roof. The installation went very well.

the installers were curtious, knowledgeable and fast. work completed in one day. left my home as clean as when they came. started earning credits as soon as i turned the panels on.

We ordered solar panels for my mother's home in 2022. They were installed in 2023. The salesman chose to use my video sales call as a training session with his new salesmen without asking my permission ahead of time. He also failed to inform us that in the case of a power outage, we too will be without power when (not if) the grid goes down. Even if you are producing enough energy to power your home, unless the grid is up at the time you are generating energy via the solar panels, your home will be without power. The probability of a grid failure due to acts of God as well as those associated with potential conflicts w/ other global economic players (including China who produces 100% of US transformers nationwide) is also rising: Grid failure is inevitable. When I expressed concern to the Project Manager, he contacted my salesman. I was told he would reach out to me about the installation of a single (limited capacity) battery. The salesman never contacted me. He also failed to follow up with me regarding the initial 26K solar panel purchase. Character rating: 1. The Project Manager maintained excellent communication throughout the process and in general kept the installation on schedule. Competence rating: 5. The installation team was timely and effective. Materials used appear to be of very high quality. Competence and Character ratings: 5 and 5. The tech support team, both on-phone and in-person repair staff, are outstanding. Competence and Character ratings: 5 and 5. Solar Liberty's leadership is suspect. The last page of my sales contract clearly indicates Solar Liberty is willing to pay- as in bribe- customers by offering them cash if we leave a 5 and only 5-star review. I declined the cash and question the leadership's integrity by propagating a clearly biased set of reviews. Character: 1, only because 0 is not an option.

The company was great, my husband and I had them come out to home To give us an estimate about installing solar power into our new home. The company was very professional, They were very knowledgeable everything solar. They did not try to push in the buying anything. They also gave us all the information on tax credits, And ways to save money. The staff was very friendly even when calling into the office. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for solar added to there home or business.

I gave Solar Liberty a low rating in an earlier review. However, the company has responded impressively and addressed my concerns fully! I am happy to give them an unqualified five-star rating across the board. I am also happy to recommend them to anyone considering a solar installation.

It should be obvious to everyone that solar energy is the most efficient and economical way to reduce your electric costs and dependence on fossil fuels. We are a municipality that have uses Solar Liberty installations on several of our buildings. They have effectively helped us to reduce our carbon footprint. They company is professional and responsive. If you have a question or issue they're on it - no talking to someone from overseas or anything like that. I can't tell you they're the best company out there since we only have experience with one other. But I can tell you that they're heads above that other company and I would recommend them without reservation. The below data represents one of our facilities.

We had an extraordinarily helpful preparatory visit from a site engineer and inspector, Tony Y, who worked carefully to get the roof ready for the installation of the panels. He made sure that the attic beams in our small old house were tight. Because of his good work, the installation was carried out easily and effectively. We are now enjoying our energy derived from solar!

The installation will happen within the next month, but the planning, coordination and communication to date has been top notch! Solar Liberty got all necessary town approvals seamlessly. Hi my name is Bill Henry, I am a Renewable Energy Advocate. Our home was one of the first in Erie County NY to be powered by Solar PV back in 2007. The Company that installed it was Solar Liberty. I chose to use them back then because they were the only local company in this area and I felt that was important. The system that was installed has worked flawlessly for over 12 years with only 1 minor warranty problem in which I called and Solar Liberty replaced the defect panel the next day! This company is remarkable to deal with. In 2019 we decided to add more solar panels to our system because we intend to charge an electric car in the future. After once again checking out other solar installers we went with Solar Liberty. Their pricing was better, their exceptional staff is very friendly and Knowledgeable. The people that did the install were courteous and professional, the workers were also local. I have never worked for this company and none of my relatives do either, this is a complete unbiased review If you thinking about Solar PV this company is the best choice and only choice. Solar Liberty installed 18 panels in 2017, then in 2019 we added some more panels because they weren't quite covering all our electrical use. Everything went well. Technical support is very good. We recommend them.

I chose Solar Liberty because as they participated in the "Solar Chautauqua" program at a discount to consumers for a time, they impressed me the most with the interview they had with me on my property.

Solar Liberty presented us with multiple options for our solar panel system to fit our needs, where their competitors didn't. Solar liberty also was more competitive with their pricing and offered good customer support.

We chose Solar Liberty because of their wealth of experience and the equipment that they use. They were installing solar years and years before the other local companies. They also use SunPower brand panels which not only are among the most efficient out of the gate, they are guaranteed to hold their efficiency better over time than all of the other brands that we researched.

I chose them because I had another company come to the house and promise me a trip to Disney and all sorts of stuff, and after researching them it turns out many people had issues dealing with them. The company was out of California, and didn’t really treat there customers right. I was already a fan of solar do I didn’t need to be talked into it, so I started looking at local companies online, and also had a guy at work talk to me about their experience with Solar liberty, and trusted him so I have them a call. Ryan came out to my home with a few designs in mind. I chose one and began to move forward. It was seamless from start to finish, and very happy with how my west facing roof performs! 27 panels, 8.7kwh system, and it produces over 100% of my electricity! Very happy I went solar for the environment, and for my wallet!

Used this company previously. Job communicator failed to pass e-mails along to technicians which created unneeded tension just before and during the installation. I got what I wanted and was reasonable, eventually.

We had our solar panels installed in October of 2015. In 2016 and the subsequent years we have generated 12 to 13 Megawatts of power/year. It has been flawless! Our annual electric bills have been reduced by an average of $1400/year. We live in Western New York and have many cloudy days. And in the winter, snow can cover the panels for days! Despite that we our so happy with our little power plant!

I think the true worth of an installer becomes evident when they take on a project that does not go as planned. I had my ground-mounted solar system installed over 8 years ago. It was not an easy install since they ran into rock during the installation and had to bring in a large machine to jackhammer to the right depth and install the poles in concrete and rebar. What was expected to be a 1 day job to set the poles turned into 2 weeks of jack hammering and cement trucks. They did not come back to me to ask for more money or complain about the conditions. I have had 3 micro-inverters out of 75 go bad in the past 8 years, and they were replaced very promptly and at no cost to me. I highly recommend this company, they offer competitive pricing, outstanding workmanship, and great follow up service.

They came to my home in western NY and did a great installation of my solar aray in very cold conditions with precise and expert technique.

I was very happy with Solar Liberty and all the support I received from them in the installation of the solar power generation system. This goes from the up front work of explaining how the system works, the cost and payback for the system through to the installation and commissioning of the system. I was unaware of all the approvals and inspections needed to get a new system installed, they made all of this very simple and clearly described what I needed to do for each step of the process. The installation was very quick and professionally done. I would definitely recommend Solar Liberty to any person or business looking to install a solar system on their property.

The installation was easy and painless, Solar Liberty handled all the required permits. Two years after installation, one of the panels died, then one of the power optimizes died. Both of which were under warranty. I just called up Solar Liberty and they sent someone out to replace the components as soon as they could.

Of all the companies we approached in learning more about solar energy, Solar Liberty was the most informative and helpful in making the right choices for our energy needs. They helped us to understand the process from beginning to end of the project. We have free standing panels and have been pleased since day one. When we had an issue with wind and stabilization a representative came right out and fixed the problem. Then when wind again broke a bracket the service was immediate. The panels have done everything for our utility bill that they said they would and more. This project was worth every penny. After speaking with representatives of many different solar companies at the Buffalo, NY Home Show over a period of several years, Solar Liberty stood out as people who knew their product, were proud of their product and wanted us as customers to be happy with our experience with Solar Liberty and their product. We are very happy that after much conversation and deliberation we settled on Solar Liberty.

SolarLiberty put together a great proposal and was very aggressive in pricing. I found them to be honest, professional and did high quality work. They also have been excellent with post-installation support. I highly recommend them. The contract was signed in mid-April and final approval from the utility was received in early November. The delay was a combination of SolarLiberty, Town Enforcement and utility delays. As the project manager, SolarLiberty was responsible for making sure everything moved quickly. They had also completed multiple installations in my Town, so the Town expectations and code and their familiarity with them was one of the reasons I chose SolarLiberty. Installation was very professional and done over the course of five days. The panel installation was one day while electric hookup was the balance of the time. Even with one panel being damaged during installation, they were quick to get another panel. Also, when SolarLiberty was out of stock for the contracted panels at the time of installation, they upgraded the panels to more powerful ones at no additional cost.

Initially we had some concerns. The offer and the promise seemed to good to be true. My wife and I had several encounters with companies offering solar systems. More often than not, they turned out to be "bait and switch" tactics. So far, Solar Liberty has made good on every aspect of the enrollment, installation and loan phase. The sales, customer service and other support staff made us feel comfortable, answered every question we asked, provided all the information needed to help us move forward with the purchase. In short, they were very professional. Installation was completed within the two day time span. The electrician was thorough and very knowledgeable, answering the many questions we had. At this stage, my wife and I are satisfied with the outcomes so far. Now it's time to measure the promise of the production of the system. A brief trial run by the electrician showed that the system was working, producing energy that outpaced consumption at the time. This was very promising. We finally received the ok to turn on the system, unfortunately it's a cloudy day. Let's see what happens as we move forward. Our confidence in the system remains high. Overall an excellent experience.

Their overall description of the system, installation and help with every aspect of start up, including how to apply for our rebates was top notch. We’re extremely happy with our system thus far.

I was very careful about choosing a solar company. I had 3 companies come to my home. Solar Liberty by far was the most professional. The sales man Ryan was very knowledgeable. The minute I signed with them they were right on top of everything. They got all the permits and set it all up. I am looking forward to saving money.

We began the process last year (2017) to see about getting solar panels for our home. From the first contact with solar liberty we have been impressed with how professional and patient they have been through the whole process. Each person we have worked with has helped us understand the benefits and costs of putting our system in place. The technicians were very professional and did a quick and good job. We were happy at the outcome, and thrilled that we are now making money against our electric bills! The panels look good on our roof, and we are very pleased with the whole setup of our Solar Liberty system! It has been a very good experience. From estimate to turning the system on, all went well. The system has generated almost the exact same amount every year so far. I track it all by recording the weekly amounts from a report sent to me by email each month. I found out late in the year that a mortgage I was holding would be paid off resulting in a tax burden. SL did everything they could to hurry the process for me. It was turned on a couple weeks in to December.

We were completely satisfied with the service provided by Solar Liberty. We started the process in the spring of 2016 when we were visited by a sales representative. We were given excellent information and were told that our home would be appropriate for solar panels. Recommendations were made as to what would be the most cost efficient configuration. We had many questions in the months that followed having had the proposal reviewed by our investment adviser and our accountant. All our questions were answered and we decided to proceed with installation. We were assigned to a case manager, Katie Jablonicky who couldn't have been more helpful. She got back to us immediately when we had a question and provided us with all of the information we needed for a successful installation. There were several other technicians who came to our house during the process of installation. All were extremely knowledgeable, courteous and respectful of our time. Our system was installed in December, 2016.

Nathan and Adam were fantastic to work with. Everything was explained in detail and all concerns were taken care of. They made sure we were comfortable and understood every step of the process. The contractors were the same way.
