Stellar solar panel system installation on my townhome

As a long term owner of my townhome I wanted to pursue the option of installing photovoltaic panels on the roof to provide solar power for my electricity consumption. As I contacted a half dozen companies to inquire about this project, I was surprised at the wide variety of experiences and responses I received, from "our company does not install solar panels on townhomes" to "hold on while I check with my manager to see if I can get you a lower quote" to my online meeting with Jeff Nachman of Solar Energy World, who clearly explained the concept, benefits and complete process of solar panel installation, from the design of the appropriate size system to permitting, installation, inspection and ultimately approval to turn on the system for operation with connection to the local power grid. Jeff provided clear and concise information and answers to my questions and was available through the entire process to explain where the project status stood. The site inspector, office staff and especially the installation crew from Solar Energy World were all extremely efficient, courteous and professional in performing the important work to make this project a total success for me!

Energy independence.

I just added 11 more panels to the 18 I had installed by Brent Cotton 4 years ago and I could not be happier. My power production is through the roof The team at solar world Is second to none. I've never seen a group of people in different departments in one company work together like 1. I definitely recommend then for any solar needs in the future.

Outstanding

Everything about the experience was top notch, from sales representative to scheduling and work crews. We especially appreciate the company’s sales rep Scott Grams, who was factual and low-key in his approach—no sales pressure. He has been consistently helpful with comprehensive responses to anything we asked, including computer assisted schematics and calculations. He shepherded the project from beginning to end so that everything went smoothly for us. He even came to our home and turned the system on for us while we were away on vacation so we would capture every bit of sunshine as soon as it was operational with BGE. And finally, he has filed application on our behalf for tax credits and another cash benefit. I don’t think I’ve ever had a sales or construction experience as good as this one.

Yes, the roof installation was completed by a roofing company. I know this because they were the same guys who installed the new roof. They took time to explain all the electrical systems and the emergency procedures.

Impressed

I am very impressed with Solar Energy World. My field agent Damien Odle scheduled an appointment at a time that as convenient for me. He explained in detail all the benefits and savings by going solar powered. He scheduled the installation on a day that I was home. The installers were at my house early and completed the job quickly. Damien was on contact with thru the entire process. I felt cared about. As I said I am very impressed with the 5 star service I received.

I regret purchasing through them

I originally had given them a 5 star for their installation process. But now I majorly regret having them install my solar panels. I feel like they jipped me. They pressured me to purchase from them and to do it ASAP because they said solar prices weren't going down and that the NEM policies for 1-1 net metering was going away very soon. Well, it's still around and I've LITERALLY found quotes for 3-4k cheaper from other reputable companies. I'm in NOVA so maybe that affects things because they're in Maryland but IDK if I would ever recommend them now.

Amazing Installation Journey

I am excited to announce that I am now part of the solar family and the whole credit goes to Solar Energy World. Right from the first touch base with their lead sales/field advisor (Dillan Straabe) where he provided a splendid walkthrough of the entire process, completely transparent, knowledgeable and resourceful to working with all their other key team members including Inspection Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Operations Support, Install Compliance, Project Manager, Installation Coordinator of Solar Energy World looked like just a cake walk. "Let the Sun Shine In" 5-Star review Solar Energy World

We live in Reading, PA and were skeptical of the New Jersey office of a Maryland-based solar panel company being able to give us what we wanted and needed in solar. We did years of online research on pros/cons of roof and ground mount installations, and the cost/benefit analysis of return on investment and energy credits system. We knew exactly what we wanted - a ground mount system, capable of capturing our year round full sun exposure and generating ample energy to power our large 7,000 sqft home and electric vehicles. Steve Fulginiti met with us via Zoom and advised that Solar Energy World would deliver the system we needed, manage the negotiations and permitting with the township and power company and install the system so that we realized savings on Day 1 - all for a very affordable price. Four (4) months after signing the contract our 36-panel, 12.78 kW a year ground-mount solar panel system was installed and six (6) months for contract signature we received an inspection and the green light from our power company to turn on the system February 2, 2024. In just the first month of use (February 2024) in one of the lowest sunlight months of the year in Southeastern Pennsylvania our electric bill dropped from $175 to $10! As I write this review April 28, 2024 we continue to experience electric bills $10 and less for our considerably large home with electric-draining cars, appliances and gadgets galore. We look forward to continued monthly energy savings, generating Pennsylvania Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECS) and realizing the return on investment (ROI) time period. Oh, and doing our part to use renewable energy and preserve Mother Earth feels great too!! Thank you Steve Fulginiti and the Solar Energy World family! Great Job - Excellent Team

I am extremely satisfied with my sales and installation with Solar Energy World. It started with an extremely knowledgeable sales explanation by Steve Fulginiti , who explained the system and process from start to finish. The crew was very impressive though quoting, drone scanning the roof and site, and the installation of the panels and battery. The crews were large with roof installers and a team of electricians. I looked at 7 different solar companies, and chose Solar Energy World as the gave me the exact system I was looking for, the had the best warranty of 30 years, an boasted having 6 crews of qualified installers. They took care of all details including permits and inspections, timely scheduling, and fantastic professional, and aesthetically pleasing installation and respect for my house, and property. I definitely recommend them as a premier contractor.

Solar Roof instalation

I recently I ha 7.38 kw system installed by Solar Energy World. It used Silfab panels and Enphase inverters. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the sales team, the install team, and the after install help with getting hooked up to the power company. Great job all around.

Thoroughly professional

I am currently waiting for Pepco to install our new meter, but the whole process from quotation to final county inspection took less than one month. Andy our sales guy was very responsive with questions. Josh the electrician and Mr Hernandez the roofing team also was super efficient and provided explanations step-by-step. This team made a potentially nerve-wracking endeavor almost pleasant! I haven't really gone through the after-sales experience thoroughly as the whole process has been so quick. But from all indications, this too should be positive experience so I'm going to risk it and give them 5 stars. To sum it up, these guys advertised themselves accurately-- thoroughly professional.

My Solar Energy Installation (A money saving experience)

My name is Ricky Mitchell and I have lived in Prince Georges County Maryland for many years. My house uses all electric energy and I have wanted to have solar panels installed for sometime. I used Solar Energy World. They were listed in the Best Pick Reports Booklet (page 94) mailed to Prince Georges County homeowners each year. My Field Energy advisor Mr. Bobby Engel explained the process to me in detail The installation went well. I had seen other homes with solar panels but, the work was extremely sloppy. This was not the case with Solar Energy. There was no hanging exposed cheap wires encased in plastic. The workers took their time and all wiring was encased in metal tubing to withstand the weather and place neatly along the seems of the roof. My electricity bill has been reduced by roughly 60%. I also received 1/3 of the cost of installation in the form of a Federal tax write off, another $1000 dollars from the Maryland Energy Administration. For recommending my family to also get Panels installed I received a $500 gift card from Solar Energy World. I am glad I had them installed.

My love letter to Solar energy World

My electric bill used to be $385 dollars a month on buget billing average use of 2400 k/wh, I got fed up with the increase of electricity cost. I contacted Solar Energy World for a free qoute and got to meet Scott Gram. To be honest i thought this was going to be a scam, I havent had any friends or family that went solar yet. Bill where piling up and for my family i had to do something. Scott, mywife and I spoke over the phone, internet meeting, and onsite at my house about the solar options in Nov 2023. With how big my system is, I lease it for $234 a month and I would be saving close to about 100 dollars a month. I sign the agreement and by the end of January my system was installed. Learning as I go, I know what bad solar months are and what good solar months are. The end of March thru April, I produce an extra 524 k/WH units Electricity which made my first BGE bill with zero provided from BGE $9.43. this will save my family $1,690 a year Thank You Scott Gram and Solar Energy world. It was one of the best decisions I had ever made to switch to solar energy. My electric bill has reduced drastically and I am benefiting from the tax credit and other perks. Scott explained the process of installing the panels in easy layman terms and the whole project was completed in a very short time.
