My experience

Everything was super easy. They did all the leg work on this project. Everyone was super nice and friend when coming out to the home. The hvac group was the first team to come out to update the heating/cooling and they were pretty funny and yet very professional. It was nice to have professional people come to do the work and not have to be babysit them. It's really exciting to see that first negative kwh on our electric usage monitoring app.

It was a quick and smooth process; they always answered my questions. Anything that was wrong they were quick to make it right. So far I’m producing more energy than I am using, which will come in handy during the summer when the AC runs more. When it is all said and done, I should only have to pay the connect fees that the power company charges which is less than $20 per month. I highly recommend Shine Solar.

From the beginning Shine Solar has been great with communication. Our sales rep Ben was so easy to work with. Throughout the process our Reps (Brandyn,Kate,Elizabeth, Jessica,Erin,Alyssa) have all been wonderful with keeping me updated weekly with where my system process was currently and what to expect. So glad my husband and I decided to take the jump and go Solar! By far one of our best choices! Highly recommend!!!

Solar installation made simple

I have considered some kind of solar system for a backup energy source if needed. I'm more a buyer than a shopper, so when I felt it time to act I didn't spend a lot of time researching companies. I started with Shine Solar and ended there. Very helpful all along the way. Great sales rep, installers and follow up. Highly recommend if you're dead set sold on the concept of solar then Shine Solar will take care of you.

Great public relations, not sure about design

If you get battery backup, be sure you thoroughly understand the way the system is designed. You may want to get your electrician to take part in the discussions. The way it stands, the circuit that is backed up by the battery is not accessible to an alternative source of power. What this means is that if there are multiple non-charging days, like clouds and snow covered panels, the circuits you considered important enough to backup will lose power when the batteries are depleted and there is no way to get power to that circuit. The only alternative is to run extension cords for what you can, freezer, etc, or come up with another plan. That would be difficult if not impossible for central heat and lighting. This would most likely be a rare event but you should understand the design so you can make decisions. If you have a breathing machine that you depend on you should take that into account when planning. On a positive note, every single person that we came in contact with were extremely nice and considerate. In our case: Evan and Sheldon Darin, Josh, and Robert We had a loud buzz in our system after it went live and Evan and Sheldon took very good care of us. The troubleshooting, part replacement, and interaction we had with them were exemplary. Darin, Josh, and Robert did a great job in the initial install on our very old home and electrical system. Dealing with Shine Solar was a positive experience other than the shortcomings in the design and maybe that it could have been explained in more detail during the initial phase. Shine Solar has done an excellent job at either finding or training customer friendly employees.

Our electric bill has continually gotten higher over the years. With shine solar we will be making our own power and pay less for shine solar then it cost for electric. Wish we did this sooner. Installers were great.

We just got a Sifab 3.7KW solar system with Enphase back-up batteries and control to keep heat going, keep the fridge and freezer cold, and make sure important medical equipment stays active. Darin and his installation team did awesome work and a beautiful install and the monitoring app is chocked full of great info
