I recently purchased solar through Shine Solar. They were referred to me by Entergy of Arkansas. It was a several month process, but Shine Solar inform me of that. They took care of all the footwork needed with permitting and everything with my power company. I do believe my system was slightly under engineered from what information I gave them from my utility bills. The installation team did a phenomenal job on the install. They were in and out in half a day. Did a very neat, clean professional job. I’m very pleased with it. I was a little disappointed, though when I received a $200 net metering administrative fee by Entergy of Arkansas on my electric bill. Hopefully the solar will pay off in the long run

We have had Shine Solar installed for 7 months now, and every month, the panels have produced enough power to make their payment, and reduce my electric bill. Mission Accomplished !!

Happy I have solar?

Overall, I'm happy I chose to go solar. The process was somewhat of an issue but at the end of the day, 90% of my issues have been addressed. I had HVAC installed by Shine as well and that was a nightmare. House ended up with three separate holes, one in the utility room, one in my ceiling and an awful hole in the side of my house from moving the AC drain. The wall and ceiling holes have been addressed but the siding hole with a bulb of expand foam sticking out is ALWAYS avoided in conversation. I still want that fixed! My local area also has rebates on HVAC but to get the proper documentation was horrible too. You're given 90 days to get the proper documentation and I was FINALLY able to submit. I will be missing out on the large chunk of rebate because a Manual J was not documented at install and since Shine has restructured their HVAC team, they can't do the Manual J testing and documentation. It would take a 3rd party to do it which is expensive and would take too long to meet the deadline. Goodbye $400... Long story short, good luck if you are banking on rebates that aren't included in the tax incentive program. I am nervous as hell about that process come tax season... Solar install should get 5 stars. Other than messing up my gutters I paid $120 to repair.

Shine Solar was very professional throughout the process. Installation took longer than expected, but they did contact me letting me know the hold ups. The post installation meeting had helpful information. The work crew was very nice and got done quickly. It was mostly just a waiting game due to other departments and companies also needing to do their jobs. So far each time I have contacted them I have gotten a same day response.

Install crew was great. They let us know everything step by step of the install process. Niki in the office is informative, kind and patient. She really know her stuff, and when she didn't she found out for us.

The crew that put in my panels did a great job!! Very happy with the panels and can't wait to save money!

Strong communication

Strong communication. To the point it's almost over bearing. They walk you through every step.

Efficient install

Quick and easy install after the go ahead was given. Only had one issue and that is hopefully being resolved, the roofers bent my gutter.

Solar Install Crew

All of the crews that have come to the house have been professional and efficient. From the inspection, to the solar install, to the insulation install we have had no complaints. They showed up on time and worked efficiently!

Shine solar was very willing to answer any questions we had during the process and made sure both my partner and I were fully prepared for the process! I took one star off because I was unaware the install was going to take over 5 hours. It would have been nice if they had warned us. They mostly dealt with my partner, but I feel like they were quick to address anything we brought up.

So far I have had no problems.. The people who worked on it was friendly and kept everything clean. I can't really say how much electric we are producing haven't had it long enough. Will update when I know more.

Finally going solar

We always wanted to go solar, shine solar made that happen. There is alot of work behind the scene that happens that we didn't know about such as the architect, engineer, coordinator for permits etc. The installers Steve, Garrett,Jackson, Ashton, Logan & John worked hard in 105 degree heat to get our panels in on time. The customer service was very helpful when we needed them. Would recommend

Awesome experience

Very friendly and polite customer service reps, easy hassle free install and high quality products make shine solar an awesome choice. The supply chain slow down due to corona did push our installation process past the anticipated date, but once that was resolved the install took no time and looks great!

Great public relations, not sure about design

If you get battery backup, be sure you thoroughly understand the way the system is designed. You may want to get your electrician to take part in the discussions. The way it stands, the circuit that is backed up by the battery is not accessible to an alternative source of power. What this means is that if there are multiple non-charging days, like clouds and snow covered panels, the circuits you considered important enough to backup will lose power when the batteries are depleted and there is no way to get power to that circuit. The only alternative is to run extension cords for what you can, freezer, etc, or come up with another plan. That would be difficult if not impossible for central heat and lighting. This would most likely be a rare event but you should understand the design so you can make decisions. If you have a breathing machine that you depend on you should take that into account when planning. On a positive note, every single person that we came in contact with were extremely nice and considerate. In our case: Evan and Sheldon Darin, Josh, and Robert We had a loud buzz in our system after it went live and Evan and Sheldon took very good care of us. The troubleshooting, part replacement, and interaction we had with them were exemplary. Darin, Josh, and Robert did a great job in the initial install on our very old home and electrical system. Dealing with Shine Solar was a positive experience other than the shortcomings in the design and maybe that it could have been explained in more detail during the initial phase. Shine Solar has done an excellent job at either finding or training customer friendly employees.

Shine Solar is the best!

Having Shine Solar install my solar panel system on my home was a very enjoyable and easy process. The team has been amazing to work with from the very beginning of the sales consultation to the final visit on site by some repair techs to finalize the process was very smooth and I was kept informed the whole time. The on-site workers were very professional, went the extra mile to complete the job in one day, left the worksite clean and it was as if they were never here, other than leaving some fabulously clean solar panels. I very much recommend them as your solar panel suppliers!

Shine Solar Review

Shine Solar was professional with the work that they did while putting solar panels on our home. While some of the behind-the-scenes of getting the electric company to understand how to bill correctly with solar panels feeding back into the system was hairy at times, that was of no fault to the solar company. They are quick to respond and are quick to take care of any issues that may pop up during installation or afterwards.

Friendly People

Overall I had a great experience, but sometimes I felt like I was the one pushing the project through to completion. The people installing everything could work without me being present, which was nice for me, but I wish the process could have gone faster without me having to push it through myself.
