I've had my Shine Solar system operational for 10 days now, and am very pleased with the company. Every person that I've dealt with in the company, from Sales to Concierge, has been very pleasant to work with. Any issue that came up, was promptly addressed and resolved. No project of this complexity can be expected to be problem-free in completion, so company reaction is very important, in my opinion. I live in Middle Tennessee, where solar is just getting started good. I have been planning on getting solar for thirty years, to the extent that when I built my current house in 1994, I made sure that I had a large roof area facing directly south. I research a number of solar companies before settling on Shine Solar. They were able to give me what I wanted - to include battery back-up for outages - for a reasonable price. The installation itself went without a hitch, and was done over a three day period. When the inspector from the electric company came for the final inspection and new meter installation, he praised the neatness of the installation. A big plus that I recently discovered is that when a Storm Warning is issued for my area, the system automatically switches to fill the batteries to 100% before using the produced wattage. When the Alert is canceled, it reverts to normal status.

Solar Alternatives representatives were professional and effective throughout our project of adding a Tesla solar battery to our solar panels that were already in place. We are now, essentially, off the grid, because our excess solar power is stored in the battery and used by us whenever the sun is down. The battery also provides power during power outages which will come in handy during hurricanes and squalls. All of the Solar Alternatives servicemen who were involved in the installation were efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend them!

New Farm Solar installed our panels in July of 2019. Patrick Villines and his team are knowledgeable about the solar energy world and very responsive to questions about the kind of system they install (as well as to questions about the variety of systems available in general). The forty-six panel install took only three days, and they cleaned up all the packaging. We had a negative electric bill until February of 2020, when our banked kilowatts had been used up, but expect for our usage and electricity generation from our solar panels to balance out in 2020, based on the system we had installed. Thanks, New Farm Solar, for a positive experience.

I decided to take the plunge to Solar energy as my electric bills were consistently over $200 and honestly becoming ridiculous. I looked around and requested quotes from 4 different companies, and to my surprise AEV was the only one that guaranteed a production that would eliminate upwards of 90% of my consumption. I went a step further and sent a second inquiry to the other companies asking for a higher output solution, and they still couldn't match AEV's proposal. On top of that, AEV's cost was incredibly competitive, dare I say even lower than two of the other proposals, so why pay for less when you can have more? Being end of 2020 and Covid rampant there was some unavoidable delays with parts delivery, but that is absolutely not their fault. In fact, they were so regretful they could not deliver as quickly as promised that as soon as they got the parts they came on a Saturday AND Sunday both days to complete the installation. You will definitely not find another company that comes out on a weekend to get your project done as fast as possible. The final product was perfect craftsmanship, it was neatly installed on my roof and almost invisible to the eye, the electrical components on the wall outside were even the exact color of my siding so it all blended seamlessly. You can't match this level of detail. All in all I would say to anyone interested in solar energy, don't trust me, just do your homework like I did. Look up a handful of reputable companies, request quotes, and compare their offerings and their prices. If you add AEV to your list you will almost certainly get to the same conclusion I did.

This company installed a 3K string inverter system for me in Washington county Arkansas. Since installed I have been overwhelming impresses with the results. First I live in 1,500 square foot home, married and have 2 teenage children. My furnace and water heater are the only thing gas in my home. With this being said I have a grid tie system so I get a credit on my usage which in turn lowers my bill. My system was installed October 24th, 2014. After it being installed I have saved on average 46% of what it compares to the previous year. I guess what I'm telling this is I had one of the better days today when I received my electric bill ( that I've been eagerly waiting on with the sun staying out longer ) my bill was $28.50. I am very pleased with the install, function, warranty, company and representatives and all the $ that I have saved and will save even when the electric company decides to raise there rates which they always do. Thank you for what you have done for my family.

The reviews scores for the largest solar companies are far worse than those for local, family-owned solar installation companies.
The best solar companies meet the following criteria:
The solar industry is full of fly-by-night solar companies — both big and small — that open one year and are gone the next.
Solar panels last for 25-30 years, so you want an installer who will help you with any problems or system faults. For this to happen, your installer needs to be able to stay in business
Local solar companies, as a group, have the highest reviews score on our site and also have lower overheads than corporate installers, making them more likely to survive in the long term.
