Outstanding company

We are so happy with the job Semper Solaris did for us. Sergio Bruna came to my home April 20 and explained all the details. He promised me his crew would do everything they could to complete the job to our satisfaction, and they absolutely did. I told him we were hoping for job completion by July 1st, and they did. From getting a loan, to pulling permits, to EDISON permitting use, it all went as planned, just as they said it would. Our project manager Laura Vargas was instrumental in making sure the progress was maintained at every step. I could not give a greater recommendation to any contractor. Semper Solaris is the best.

I usually do not write reviews. But I write this for Semper Solaris because they did a great job. Our project was not the easy one. I interviewed 4-5 different companies, Semper beat them all by price, rating, reviews and best panels. I had a very easy honest (no games) start with Mr. Chris DeGreen to sign the contract with the best price for the best panels in the market. Then Ms. Nicole Laco take over and managed everything to the end. She is a treasure. For any step or any problem even if it was out of her scope, she helped me and Semper to come up with a solution. She was responding to my phone calls, texts and emails immediately even on Sundays and after office hours. She made everything happened exactly the way I wanted and very fast. I put a new roof and large Sunpower solar system at the same time. Semper gave me 25 years warranty for solar product, production and roof penetration warranty (usually roof penetration warranty is for 10 years). I recommend this company with no hesitation.

Outstanding Customer Service!

My solar installation went without a hitch from start to finish - no hidden costs and the project was completed well within the projected timeline. Dustin was my first contact with the company and I was very impressed by his honesty, knowledge, helpfulness, and straightforwardness. Mark was the project manager and he continuously followed up to ensure the job went well and was meeting my expectations. When I experienced a small problem related to a particular circuit breaker that wouldn't reset, Mark immediately dispatched a worker to resolve it that very same day. I have worked with several contractors over the years for projects at my home and my small business so I can appreciate the differences in the levels of customer service provided by various contractors. On a scale of 1 to 10, Semper Solaris has earned a solid 10 in my book. Their attention to detail, the quality of their work, and their timely follow-up to any questions or concerns I had was simply outstanding.

The Best

I decided to go with Semper Solaris after talking to 6 different solar companies. Price wise, they were competitive but not the least expensive but what service! The permit process went smoothly. Steve, the sales representative, answered all my questions. Tracey Pollard, from the Administration Office, worked on my rebate from the City. She was on top of all the documentation requests. Greg, the manager in charge of the installation, knew exactly what the city's required to pass inspection. They did the installation in a day and even painted the conduits to match the color of the walls. After the installation, I requested that they install software so I could compare usage to power generated. They responded almost immediately to my request. This is a company that really cares about its customers. If only all the contractors I dealt with were this responsible. Very highly recommended.

My experience with Semper Solaris was outstanding. From my first contact with Anela, everyone was friendly and efficient. I was impressed that everything went exactly the way the install was scheduled. Mark even went to turn on our system when we were on vacation so that we could start saving $ immediately. Solar installation

Semper Solaris did an excellent job with the entire solar installation process. They explained the system, panels and operation during the bid process. They helped me understand about the technology and designed the system to meet my needs. They took care of every detail, including the permits and HOA approvals. The installation crew was professional, they showed up when they said they would and finished on schedule. The system has performed without a hitch since installation. My electric bill has dropped to almost nothing even during the hottest days.

Very impressed with this company. The did a great job installing 15 solar panels on my house. They were fast and did everything they said they were going too. No problems with anything in regard to this transaction. Highly recommend them.

Great Team

We had gotten a quote from another company first who never followed up with us. Customer service is really important to us, and we really loved the customer service Semper Solaris provided from start to finish. They answer all your questions, give you many options on buying solar and don't make you feel pressure into purchasing any solar. The installers were really great too. They communicated on when they would be there or when they wouldn't, and what parts of the house they would need access to. I felt comfortable with them at my house and being around my things. We had a great experience with Semper Solaris and would recommend them to anyone!

FLAWLESS SOLAR PURCHASE/INSTALL

My purchase and install of residential solar from Semper Solaris was flawless. From the initial sales call with Mark A. to the pre-install site survey to the actual install, I could not have asked for a better process. Initial sales call was in November 2015 and install was complete in December 2015 with approval from SDGE to turn solar on the first week of January 2016. Great experience.

Knowledgeable, fast, and efficient

Installed Sunpower panels with integrated micro-inverters. Sales staff was very professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. Installation was fast and efficient (less than two days for 23 panels). To make the online dashboard work required 4 visits from after sales, but that was due to the fact that we were one of the first ones to install micro -inverters. Got resolved after two months but no impact on solar generation in the meantime. Strongly recommends micro-inverters though! TY Semper Solaris!

Excellent panel quality, installation, and service

After researching over ten solar companies, we finally chose Semper Solaris for our home solar. The service was great (Thanks Andrew!) and the quality of panels is far better than almost all companies in San Diego.

Buying solar from Semper was a no brainer.

Solar panels installed and working. Just got my new electric bill from so. Cal Edison for $.58! THAT'S 58 CENTS! Now that's SEMPER SOLARIS POWER! Adding solar was a very smart decision on our part. AND the panels are American made!

I initially called Semper Solaris because of their strong support of the military. However the job they did in providing a competitive estimate, sticking to the a construction schedule, always being available to answer questions and performing a quality roofing job, replacing the electrical box and dealing with city inspectors was totally professional. Semper Solaris did a great job from beginning to end. The couple of minor problems were handled quickly and to my satisfaction. I recommend Semper to anyone who is looking for a professional company to purchase and install solar on their home.

Encountered some problems...

I had my solar panels installed in October of 2015. The sales person who contacted me was very helpful and answered most of my questions about the solar panels. Semper Solaris is a good company but I had several problems with the installation of the panels (delayed installation and the installers had to come back a few times before everything was completed) and they had to replace the inverter because the one they installed kept giving me problems. It stopped working several times and of course that affected my production and messed up my PG&E usage. The technicians came back to check what was going on and finally decided to replace the inverter. It was frustrating because I did not expect to have those problems after they completed the installation. I still had problems with it until December of 2015 (2 months after the installation). I had a few more problems after that and called technical support at least 3 or 4 times since the start of this year (2016). I really hope I won't have any more issues with it.

Reliable Sunpower installer

This review is long overdue. We have interviewed at least 10 companies prior. By the middle of it, we knew we wanted Sunpower panels for their quality & warranty, so we spoke with other companies who exclusively installed Sunpower. We chose Semper because we had read from other customers about its company integrity and upon meeting with Bob, our rep, we were settled with the company. Semper was very competitive in its pricing, but most of all, we got more than what we paid for. They were trustworthy, hard working and expeditious in every aspect. They addressed every concern and never for a moment, we felt we impinged on their time. They were happy to help us from the installation to the approval from the city & Edison, which says a lot about their professionalism & expertise. Bob assured us from the beginning that it wouldn't be an issue to have the panels approved, while a few other companies had been hesitant. He had delivered on his promise. We were also happy with our correspondence with the technical manager, Anthony, who kept the schedule on time and addressed all technical concerns. We had spoken to 10 companies, so we learned so much in the end. Solar panels are a huge long term investment, so you want a trustworthy, reliable company to install the best panels in the market. Even though Semper is based in San Diego and we are in Orange County, we felt no difference in the distance. They were fast and efficient, as if they were located right down the street. You cannot go wrong with Semper and it happened to be a veteran-owned company, which is an added bonus. Integrity and trustworthiness are important, and this company exudes that.

SEMPER SOLARIS and SUN POWER / just DO it and you wont be sorry

I talked to seven different solar companies and because of the warranty and track record of SUN POWER panels, SUN POWER was the only company whose product I was interested in. So then only the SUN POWER dealers were being considered. Semper Solaris quote was not only under the other SUN POWER dealers, but also beat the companies offering cheap imported panels. Its not often that you are able to get the hands down best product on the market for less than the cheap knock offs. From first sales contact to completed install and all the steps in between, every person i dealt with was extremely polite and professional, and on time to boot. Bill is the lowest pressure sales guy there is, and a straight shooter.
