I chose Palmetto due to their solar panel manufacturing facilities being located in the United States. Also the financing terms (interest rate and loan duration) made my annual cost of electricity lower with solar than with the electric company.

New Customer

Living in the Las Vegas area means we use our Air Conditioning a whole lot which results in a high power bill. Purchasing a new home much larger than our old one, and the intention of adding a swamp cooler in the garage, led us to installing solar in order to avoid a higher bill. The first few months has been stress free especially when our power bill has not gone over $12.00.

Was recommended by a friend And was extremely happy with the gentleman that I work with Hector and then I worked with David Hector became my friend he was kind he was nice he was so helpful he had to deal with a new H O A and work by there rules and he did it all Then David stepped in and helped me turn on the system answer my questions that I already didn’t ask or asked over and over and I was very pleased by them and I would definitely definitely recommend them to anybody

Well explained program, great assistance in documentation, on time installation, quick service for on-site issue, good follow up with Illinois rebate program, great performance tracking app, quick customer service response to questions, friendly follow-up. Solar panel system performance met goals to offset electric utility bills. Very, very happy to recommend this company.

Very satisfied customer

I am very happy with my solar installation. Since installing it I have gotten almost $8000 back from the federal government in tax rebate, several hundred dollars from my local utility--a benefit that lasts for ten years. My bill has gone from over $2500 per year to about $200 and I think it maybe zero this year. I was especially happy that my system seems to be putting out a bit more than was estimated. The Palmetto techs were very cooperative and explained every step of the installation.

I have always been interested in having solar panels installed. When a representative from Palmetto Solar knocked on the door, he got my attention. At the time, there were not a lot of solar companies doing business. At least I had not heard of many in the area. They were professional and laid out the installation plan. They even showed me how pay for it with help from them, my power company and the federal government. It was a quick and easy decision for my wife and I.

saving money

We chose them at the time as actually Divinnci was the rep that approached us. Liked the figures & discounts, rebates? that came with it. What would of made it better was to have included a backup battery (like some companies are doing now) Otherwise workers were very nice at installation.

Unacceptable

Our solar panels were installed in October of 2020. It is now Feb. 2021, and they are still not turned on. I have made 2 payments for the panels, and been reimbursed for one. This all is taking way too much time, and I'm not informed of anything unless I ask.

Awesome company

Great company to work with. The sales person was informative, the install crew was awesome! showed up on time, did a great job and then cleaned everything up when they were done. While they were installing I called customer service with a few questions, they answered the phone right away and were very happy to answer all my questions. The customer service rep. was so pleasant and told me to call her back if I had any other questions. Great company I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Smooth process

It was a quick process, from interests to installation. I was always informed and every question was encouraged and answered. I'm satisfied with the finished results and it seemed no different that regular electricity. Which I started sooner. Thank Palmetto! Highly recommend!!!

Great installation and prompt customer service.

Working with Palmetto was great! Purchased the system through SolarBuddy (sales rep) and everything with smoothly and without delays or issues. High quality. Whenever I had questions, a call or email was responded to with prompt and full response. Would definitely recommend!

Outstanding Service

The teams at Palmetto Solar are very professional and knowledgeable. I am always excited to receive my electric bill and see how much money I am saving due to going solar. Taylor and Jonathan have been of great help in answering all my questions and providing outstanding feedback. Without them I most likely would not have went with solar.

Great price, installation and service.

Had my solar panels installed in October of 2019. The salesman was Jared Juristy. Every thing that Jared told me was completed as he explained. The installation was excellent including a new service panel at no cost since mine was forty years old. In the first full year with the panels I paid the minimum charge for electricity ten out of the twelve months. Right now my combined electric bill including my loan payment is five dollars less that my electric bill alone was without the panels. So basically the panels are paying for themselves with money to spare. Palmetto is the best

They gave great service and I would Highly recommend them!!

I just looked and saw some good reviews and I saw some bad ones. Most of the bad reviews were about how long things took and how slow they were. Well this is covid season and almost every company out is having major problems. Palmetto however told me what date they were going to install my service and that's exactly what they and everything was done in a half of day. Now this is what people were getting upset about but Palmetto has no control of when your city assessor or whoever has to inspect the job and this took a long time but its to be expected its Government. The the power company gets involved and they have to do their inspection. Between those two inspection it was almost a month in a half. As soon as I was notified the inspections were done, I called Palmetto and within a half an hour they had walked me through and I was up and running, they even help put an graph on my computer and I can get to watch how this graph chart shows how much energy I am producing, its really cool.

Very thorough and easy to work with!

Our system was just installed but it hasn’t been turned on yet (waiting for required inspection). Our rep was extremely thorough and answered all of our questions during the process, and they’ve kept us informed about the progression of things along the way (permits, etc.). The installers performed a very clean installation, and I can’t wait until the system is live! Also we really appreciate the guarantees - 25 years guaranteed power generation in particular is really cool, them paying our electric bill if there was any sort of shortfall shows their commitment and belief in their engineering and installation.

Absolutely TERRIBLE Customer Service and STILL NO RESOLUTION

absolute worst service i have ever encountered. I have warped panels and they want to charge me to come look. they don't stand behind anything obviously. all of their representatives have failed to even get a service visit scheduled. we have a 12.6kw system and I still pay 200 in power plus 300 in solar panel financing every month. we have not added new people or appliances....in fact we have done things to improve energy efficiency. panels are improperly braced and warping on my installation. they took a 5 min look at production data and claim all is fine. obviously its not fine or my production vs consumption would show that. THIS IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FOR A 50K INVESTMENT. 4 MONTHS TO GET A SERVICE CALL IS UNACCEPTABLE IN ANY INDUSTRY. see pictures of visibly warped panel. ALSO THIS COMPANY HAS EMPLOYEES LEAVING REVIEWS TO BOOST THEIR GOOGLE RATINGS. THIS SHOULD SHOW YOU THEIR BUSINESS ETHICS. prime example is Andrew C. and Chris their CEO.

Solar Panels, lack of customer information.

In the way they explain to customers, to sell you the product, 99% of people think that when they do the taxes at the end of the year, the government will return 30% or 26% of the total cost of the panels and With that money in hand (money that you will never see, because what they give you is a tax credit) you will pay it to the bank that made the loan, so that after a year; you don't have to pay more than what you were paying the electricity company. In short, if you are self-employed, you will never have the money when you do the taxes to pay the bank the amount they ask you for before the year (which they never tell you) and if you do the taxes with w2, the money that the government could give you back, when you do the taxes, if it gives you something back, I don't think you want to use them to pay for solar panels.

Honest company and follows up

Our Palmetto consultation was very informative. Rep Tony explained ALL of the pros and cons of going solar with my wife and I, and we wouldn't have known a lot of that info (such as the difference between "25 Year Warranties" - they're not all the same!) without him because the first two solar companies we met with just tried to get us to buy in 15-20 minutes! Tony was very thorough with us in explaining the tax credits and batteries and was honest about what would be the best situation for us (skipped the batteries for now). and the office maintained contact with us throughout each stage of the process until our system was running! I don't like salespeople but Palmetto reps seems to care about what's the best situation for people and not just making money. Very happy!

Bamboozled

They went house to house in our neighborhood promoting how great this service would be. My experience: They installed fine, but they lied to me and my husbands face to get the sale. When asked if this will go on our credit, his reply was, "no this is just a inquiry. This is not like a loan for a car or house, this has no affect on your credit." Well my husband now have a $54,000 debt for 20 years sitting on his credit that we need to pay off or we will be paying double that amount in 20 years. Their response is sorry for the poor communication. So I have made it my life mission to troll them by letting everyone else know that you will end up paying more than what you're paying to your utility company because now you are paying a loan of more than $300 a month to them, and you are still paying money to the utility company (at least $60 a month). This you have to commit to at least for 20 years, if you don't pay it off earlier. If you can't afford to pay it off earlier, you would have paid double the amount to the finance company with the interest. This is a warning to all potential buyers, I wish someone had told me; so I will warn others so they won't have to go through what I am currently going through.

excellent service to correct installation problem

Palmetto Solar was subcontractor on my solar installation for another company they were notified of several roof leaks that transpired and worked diligently to resolve. Jack Nelson and Mr. Matt Hilton was excellent in their service and Response to the issue of removing panels and replacing them after roof was repaired,] Great service.
