GPD Solar Energy System
I contacted Palmetto Solar (P.S.) for information on the installation of solar panels Nov. 2016. I spoke with the P.S. Reps in the Greenville Office about the details of the installation/financing of a Solar Energy System and the interface with Duke Energy. All phases of the project went smoothly. The installation was completed and the system powered up and tied into the grid Feb. 2017. All P.S. personnel were courteous and professional in all phases of the project. I would highly recommend P.S. to anyone interested in the installation of solar panels.

Poor management after installation
My home was hit by a tornado Feb 7 2017. Palmetto in Charleston, South Carolina is the owner of the solar panel for my home. My roof was damage and I need a new one installed. Before this can happen, Palmetto need to remove the solar panels. I have contacted them 19 times and they have given me (we can't give you a date for our team to come out and remove the solar panels). If anyone have been in a natural disaster, you know how dramatic that experience is. This company palmetto solar I would not recommend them to any one. I don't want to bash all palmetto solar. Just the one zip 29403. Think about it would you want to be treated this way.
Response from Palmetto Solar
Update on solar panel removal
It almost 2 months and Palmetto has not remove my solar panel so I can have my roof replace. My roof was damaged in a tornado disaster in New
Orleans east February 8, 2017. My roofer have been on hold for almost 8 weeks. My roofer can remove the Solar panels but they need Palmetto permission to remove them. Palmetto will not give them permission. Today (4-3-2017) I contact them to check on the date for the solar panel removal. The response was (Ken the office manager is still out of the office on other projects.) I ask has he been that busy for the last three week that he can not give me a date for the panel removal. You told me you have a company that will remove the solar panels. Today was my 22 call to Palmetto to have there panels removed. I will continue to update everyone, because you never know it this will one day be you. All I am asking is for Palmetto to do the right thing. Remove your solar panels so I can replace my roof after the tornado.

We had a great experience with our installer and upkeep already. They were very professional and quick. They tested everything and even upgraded the equipment on their own. I will be happy to recommend you to others.
