We have had a great experience with Palmetto Energy, every one has been helpful and responsive. The installation happened quickly and was completed in less than half a day with little disruption which is important when working from home. I am very happy with my purchase and I have already recomented them to some of my friends.

Best solar

From beginning to end the entire process was somewhat seamless. Other than few small glitches the personal were polite and timely during the installation. Would recommend them to anyone interested in getting solar installed.

Easy Install - waiting for results

Very easy installation process. Came back quickly when we didn’t like the original placement of the wiring. Waiting to comment on production of electricity as we are late in the year. Looking forward to our solar impact.

Great company

Great customer service and professional installation. This company has been quick to respond to all of my questions and our salesman can be reached by text message at any time. The installers came at the exact time they quoted and were done when they said they would be. Every step of the installation was explained and the installers left our property spotless. The app is very convenient and helps us to track our progress. We are up and running as of today!

Professional service

Quick, professional, and have great financing options. The install team for Charlotte are amazing. They take great pride in their work and do a quick clean job.

Worst

They were great till the contract was signed. After all said and done the salesman presented some misleading and false information. They used a local sub-contractor to install that didn’t seem very organized. Showed up without calling or missed appts. I’ve called several times for service on installation issues, but they don’t respond or show up. Once Duke installed the new meter I had assumed they would have shown up to help loading the app and review any issues. That wasn’t the case.Instead I get a text with instructions on how to boot the system and install the app. Base on my experience to date I wouldn’t refer them and give them a low rating.

Sales person never showed

I hardly ever write bad reviews. I requested to talk to someone regarding Solar panels. I got an email from Julio Romo stating that he would meet with us at 5:30 PM. I sent him my electricity info to get started. I didn't hear back from him. I Sent a couple of emails the day of to make sure we were meeting no response. 5:30 came and went and no one showed up. So I called their customer service number to see if anyone could get in contact with him to Check on this meeting. They told me because I don't have an account they can't help me because They haven't assigned me a sales rep and I can't even talk to a manager without an account. I will not be doing business with them. Any company that is this bad off can't be trusted to take care of you when it really counts.

Not getting what has been promised.

Customer reps don't have clue. Everyone has different information. They need good training. My system has been installed over 4 weeks and still not active. I have been calling every week and talking to different customer reps and not getting useful answers. No direct email or phone you can use to get in touch with anyone else other than one general contact number. Permission to Operate is a joke. This PTO department need to work and get things done. Dwaine Siade ... We both are on same boat.

Would not recommend.

This company was recommended by Victory Power, the sales company I purchased my solar system from, to install the system. I was lead to believe they were a fairly large solar installation company with a lot of experience in design, installation and customer service. I have found this to farthest from the truth. First, my installation was delayed by 2 weeks because Palmetto FORGOT to send payment with the permits to install. The local inspector came and told me he tried to contact them to inform them of this but was to unable to reach them, I had to have my sales rep contact them. Installation went smoothly, but Palmetto has repeatedly been unable to get the information to the power company so I could activate my system. My system has be installed now for 3 weeks and Palmetto still has not provided the energy co. with the proper information. PLEASE find someone else to install your system.

Completely satisfied with the whole process from beginning to insulation.Whenever I had questions ; there was always someone available to answer them.

Still waiting on promisses to be fulfilled

The installation and activation process took longer that expected, but the day the installers arrived, they were stellar! Very friendly and professional. The shipment of equipment the day before was one short one panel, and the missing one was driven 4 hours from Atlanta to Savannah so that it could be installed the same day as the others. What concerns me is that during the sign-up process we were promised a second smart thermostat because we have one on both floors of our home and a cover for our attic stair well. We did received the 1st thermostat and the LED light bulbs promptly in April, however, even after multiple emails to our sales re Chloe, the 2nd thermostat and stair cover have not arrived and it is now the middle of July.

No after market service

We had our panels installed in January 2021 and activated February 2021. Everything was fine for several months. Then we began to have roof leaks directly under the panels. It took numerous phone calls and outreach attempts to receive service. Local roofing companies would not touch the project because the leak was due to the panel installation. Finally had a random company show up unannounced at our door one day to repair the leak. Fast forward a few weeks and still leaking. Start the whole process over again... This leak repaired in March 2022. Since that repair, our panels have not worked. I have multiple email correspondences and phone calls to Palmetto with no resolution- but don't worry they sent me an invoice for the troubleshooting even though I don't know what is wrong or when it will be repaired. I called last Tuesday 7/12 and left a VM requesting an update. I received a call back Wednesday morning that they received my voicemail and would call me back by the end of the day. I did not hear from them that day or any of the following days. My panels are not working and I am extremely frustrated with the lack of service. STAY AWAY

Broken promise

I notified Palmetto back in early April that my system wasn’t reporting and knew it was because of 3G cellular shut down. I finally received this email with their unfulfilled promise. Since then, I have reached out on three separate occasions and now they don’t respond. Eli Unker (Palmetto) May 5, 2022, 11:13 GMT-5 Michael, Apologies for the delay in response. We are aware of the customers that are affected by the 3G shutdown and are actively working to upgrade those customer as quickly as we can. As far as the reason why they were installed as only 3G capable I do not have the answers but Palmetto is working to resolve this at no costs to the customer and we will be in touch to get you scheduled for the update as soon as we can. How Im getting blowen off from your sale person

I bought a solar system last year sometime in june or july of 2021 because at that time a generac generator came with it that what caught my eye . So I went thru with everything with her and got the system and generator was free at that time. My solar system was put into place sometime in March of 2022 no promblem there all good but I can not get no answer on my generator I have talked to my sale person she got a hold of her boss and her texted me it on order and gave me the company number and the name of the person to call since then no one will call me or nothing so I can see where Im at on it so I bought a system under false sale .

Great experience with Palmetto!

Palmetto did a great job installing our 10KW solar system. They were very organized! Their app lets you monitor progress and we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly the process progressed. The installation took a day and a half and it was apparent they'd done this many times.

The whole process was super easy, and I would recommend this company to anyone interested. Excellent no-pressure sales people, professional installers, and user-friendly apps to keep you informed as to where you are in the process. Compared notes to my neighbors solar experience and he went through much worse. Highly recommended!

The move to solar was a major decision which I agonized over for a few years. From the initial contact to turning on, Palmetto made the move non-stressful. I now wish I would have not agonized about it so long!

Sales

For a software company turned Solar the potential is beyond great, however this company lacks follow up and continuity, getting in touch with customer service via email, good luck they never answer, phone calls and messages maybe with in a few weeks, so how is a software company that has collected millions from Wall Street to move into the sustainability arena, fails to move in 5G speed, they are operating in the pre-dial-up era. Jesus Christ, is moronic to go out and sell their contracts only to be ghosted, ignored and dismiss by the internal team and upper management, my guess they are busy spending the nearly raised capital form Wall Street. Starts to smell like Empire Solar, and for those of you who have been in the solar business for a bit, the vibe is relatable.

Pay attention to the 1-Star reviews.

Predatory company. Don't fall for the presentation, your eyes and ears are not deceiving you. They ARE charging you almost twice the price of other companies because you are not paying upfront.

Bad service

Me and my daughter took advantage of the service last year, yesterday they did my installation and everything is going well so far, but my daughter had problems with the installers that the solar service contracted, she spent more than 6 hours without doing anything on the roof and they were trying to make a design change with the company because they spent less work in the end, my daughter did not authorize the change and neither did the company because they left without doing anything, we have also been requesting the engineering design that Palmeto does according to the sunset for 2 weeks to guarantee the greatest time of sunlight which is supposed to be sent before the installation and no response has been received we have not communicated with the project coordinator who seems to turn a deaf ear also with the customer success of the solar program and neither no response has been received, to this day we are still waiting for the document

Get you to sign the contract then vanish after! Stay away!

Poor customer service - they'll tell you everything to get you to sign the contract then vanish when you have questions after. My rep, Damir, was great up until I signed the contract. I got my solar panels installed on December 2nd 2021. It's now March 10th, 2022 and I'M GETTING BILLED FOR THE PANELS PLUS MY ELECTRIC BILL. Solar panels aren't working yet. I try reaching out to my rep. He doesn't respond. Their knowledge of the tax credit is incredibly poor as well. That was a pain to get sorted out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PALMETTO SOLAR!!!!

Had the solar panels installed last June. It failed town inspection. The company is still taking money out of my account and the panels are not working. Garrett 203 848 5133 my sales person said he was done trying to help....... I want to the panels off my roof asap. Worst company I have ever dealt with.

Palmetto experience

The installation went very nicely and the installers were very friendly and professional. Although there was a small issue with the electrical box, it was addressed quickly and successfully. Could't be happier, I am making it my business to recommend Palmetto Solar to anyone and everyone who has thought about solar power.
