We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Northern Pacific Power Systems (NPPS)! Like most homeowners we tried to do our due diligence when we embarked on this project, and we ended up meeting with three companies. Two of those were standouts, but what ultimately tipped the scale for us was our initial meeting with Tory, our energy advisor with NPPS. He was detailed and thorough and presented not only a system that met all of our energy requirements but it was also aesthetically the most appropriate for our home! I had literally asked the prior two companies to put all of our panels on our back roof and was told that it was NOT possible as we would sacrifice too much production. Well, enter Tory who opens up his design proposal and had designed exactly what I wanted and had all the science and math to back it up! We were sold and our interaction from there forward was spectacular- the process is complicated and takes a few months but their team has it mapped out to the tiniest details from day one. Every once in awhile we’d think, “oh when does x or y happen?” And we could open up the very first email they sent and find the timeline and explantation. And if we needed information, they answered the phone and are just the nicest, most helpful people, including Adaggio and Caitlin. Our installation was coordinated by Devin, who made it simply seamless. His crew of installers, led by their electrician Colton as well as Zachary and Juan, were so efficient and skilled, we barely even knew they were here! Overall, it was a super busy time for NPPS and we felt like we were their only clients in the world. That’s tough to do even in the best of times and our system is incredible-we are very happy customers!

From the first meeting to permits and drawings, to installation and completion, every step was done perfectly! Northern Pacific Power Systems completed our solar system this past February. From start to finish, this company is a class act! We have a very challenging 2-story home with a 12/12 pitch metal roof. We’d contacted a couple other solar companies, but when they heard steep metal roof, they didn’t even come out to look. But Northern Pacific Power Systems was up for the task. They did a great job and we are thrilled with our system. Great crew, both on the job site and in the office. Their goal was to make sure we were happy and they succeeded! We highly recommend Northern Pacific Power Systems for solar panels and backup batteries. Sales process was more of a technical session than "sales-y". Excellent project management and communication. Efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly workers who did excellent work. Assistance with obtaining NEM 2.0 and SGIP rebate was a bonus. Using DocuSign for paperwork was much appreciated. Milestone billing was great and every invoice came with a total updated project statement. Installation was faster than we expected - 4 months total from first sales visit during a very busy time for solar companies.

We were pleased from the first contact to the most recent when we were called to see how it all was working. Everything was explained and questions answered so we were comfortable moving forward. We purchased solar panels plus batteries because we qualified for the SGIP rebate from PG&E plus the federal tax credit so they made a huge difference in the cost to us. Once installed, we had good explanations and help figuring it all out. Plus all the people with whom we dealt were delightful people!

I am totally thrilled with NPPS from the very beginning to the completion of the installation of both the panels and the wall battery. Cassius and all the installers have been professional and courteous, explaining the process all along the way. My PG&E bill is now absolutely amazingly insignificant since I have not had to pay for any electricity. The company was professional and efficient. Design was done by satellite and zoom meetings during the pandemic, with a single onsite visit prior to the final design being submitted to the city for approval. System we purchased was a 3.4 kW output with a 10 panel array on a roof mount with a 47 degree pitch, and their bid was competitive with others (just over 15K). Many companies would not install on a roof with this slope. The install was done in 1 1/2 days with a 4 person crew, and the routing of the electrical lines was discreet and painted to match existing house colors where necessary. Overall experience with the project was excellent. Just be aware that once the building permit is approved the charges come quickly and you will need to have your banking in order.

Great solar system installed for our irrigation pumps and accessory buildings. Cassius handled our initial inquiry with a virtual evaluation that was accurate and thorough. We had wanted to qualify for the battery rebate, but missed the cutoff and the state pretty much closed it down anyway. The installation occurred a couple months later and was seamless. Alex walked us through the system, all the inspections, and dealing with PGE. And at completion Cassius again walked us through how the system works and how we can monitor it. Professional and competent all the way through.

Friends recommended Northern Pacific Power to us and we couldn’t be happier with our rooftop solar installation. The bid process with Cassius, the design element run by Alex and the installation by Chad and Jorge—the entire process was simple and professional. The orinal design had six panels on our highest producing roof and thirteen on the larger but less efficient roof. The designers found room for one more panel on the best roof. Better yet, the installers were able to put nine panels on the southern facing roof with ten on the eastern roof. Our product just kept improving. I am ecstatically happy with our solar purchase from Northern Pacific Power Systems! From the beginning with Cassius' patience and knowledge to answer all my thousand questions, to Addagio helping complete the process & his struggle with PG&E, to get the computer work and accounts correct. I never once had to worry that these guys were not going to deliver the service & product they promised. It was one large fresh breath during this daunting rebuilding process. We looked at a couple of solar companies and heard about NPPS through a friend who really did her home work. So we went on her recommendation. We're glad we did! Cassius was very professional from the start and explained everything. The nice part was that they took care of everything. Once we signed the contract, that was it, we never had to worry about a thing. And we didn't have double payments as they don't start the loan payments until after PG&E stops charging for the electrical. We're very pleased with how it all went.

Here is my one year review of my home solar installation by Northern Pacific Power Company. Technician came out and surveyed my roof and I submitted a history of my electrical usage. This was used to develop a proposal based on my needs and my roof environment. This evaluation was done at no cost or commitment to me. Based on their recommendations, we installed Sunpower 7.56Kw system, which included micro invertor on each of the 21 panels ( Sunpower model SPR-X22-360-C-AC). These panels come with a 25 year warranty. Also included was upgrading my main electrical service panel to accommodate the solar circuit. The plans from Northern Pacific were through and when submitted to building department, made the permitting process go easy with no issues. The staff both on site and when I called with questions about my order were very helpful and answered all my questions quickly and completely. There was a total of 21 panels installed on my roof and since it was installed twelve months ago has worked flawlessly. There was a $9,000 tax credit on my federal return that made this purchase more affordable. (I am told this credit will no longer be available after 2019!!) The previous twelve months I spent $2,500 for electricity on my all electric home. Since being changed to a solar account with PGE, my only monthly costs has been minimum delivery charge that varied from $4.76 to $5.26 However since PGE posts a California Climate Credit of $27.70 every six months, I haven’t paid the monthly fee. But now I have my first annual bill with PGE or true up and I owe $389.60 for the electricity I have used from PGE for the whole year!! At this rate my solar system will have paid for itself in 11 years. However this is assuming PGE doesn’t raise its rates. If they do, the value of using solar will increase and my break even or pay off time will be reduced further. It is worth noting my power use increased after my solar system was installed. This is due to my installing a 220 volt spa, otherwise I probably would have broke even. It wasn’t until winter was almost over that I changed the temp settings to a lower default setting and only raised it before use. In conclusion, I am very pleased with my solar system and would urge anyone thinking about it, do it before the end of 2019. Northern Pacific Power was knowledgeable and professional from the technician doing site analysis to the plans department, phone support and especially the installation crew. The installation looks attractive and well done.

The Northern Pacific Power Team was excellent from start to finish. Cassius's explanation of the design options, power generation and installation process at our initial meeting was clear and easy to understand. The close-out, owner's manual and monitoring set-up that he did at the completion was also quite helpful. Branden and Maxx did a professional and careful installation on our older concrete flat tile roof. They did everything possible to not compromise the integrity of the roof including replacing tile as needed. Devon went the extra mile (literally) to obtain City's final inspection approval. Addagio and Shelby always kept us well informed of the schedule and helped us with solar credits and rebates. We are very pleased to give our wholehearted recommendation! Tony and Suzanne B

Every member of the Northern Pacific Power Systems team is prompt, courteous, and expert at what they do. After researching most of the solar providers in the bay area, this installer came out on top — by a lot.

This company is super professional and got the work done very quickly. They were never hard to reach and answered all of my questions right away. I was very impressed by all of their employees including the electricians who came out. They did not leave a mess and the installation was very neat and clean. I was very happy with every step of the process and I am glad I picked the company that had good reviews on yelp. I’m confident they will stand by their install and address any problems that might arise.

I checked out a few other solar companies online. Northern Pacific is local, and I was referred about them through Jake Munzz. He worked for Wright construction at the epic center. He told me Northern Pacific solar installed over a hundred panels at the epic center.When I called northern Pacific they told me they do yearly maintenance the first five years. They are very friendly and fast. Also there was no problems at all.

I checked out and research three other companies online. I found out this company installed the solar at the epect center and they will do 5 years free maintenance. I was told about this company through Jacob Munns.

When it came time to install solar on my Santa Rosa home, I got quotes from 3 local companies and one national installer. Northern pacific power was not the cheapest option but offered three different panel options and came across as a solid local installer. The installers were able to complete the job in two days and were able to completely hide any conduit runs on the 3 separate roof sections my system covered. All conduit runs originated from the side of the house, were painted and run along the eves or trim, making them invisible unless you are looking for them. I also had NPP install a 14-50 outlet in my garage for an EV charger. Time from commitment to install was about 3 weeks (weather played a factor). One week to request PTO and then a few more days for PGE to grant PTO. The system is up and running and operating as expected. NPP was able to install consumption monitoring and enable panel level monitoring for my installation (Enphase). I would highly recommend NPP for your rooftop solar needs. I had some technical questions about the install details and monitoring equipment which NPP was able to handle prior to wrapping everything up.

I started the process of looking at Solar installation for my home through TESLA. I was even set up for installation. I had some concerns that they were unwilling to address. That's when I contacted Northern Pacific Power Systems. Graham Beverly came to my home the very next day and I was very impressed with the presentation and his knowledge. It was absolutely a pressure free presentation which I appreciated very much. I then spoke with my neighbor that works for the county renewable energy office. He told me that Northern Pacific was a top provider and gets the best reviews into his office. They are a local company with years of experience which increased my confidence. Everything went smooth, the installation was seamless and anyone would have a hard time finding any conduit on my home. The aesthetics of my home was very important to me and Graham assured me his guys would do a beautiful job and they did just that. Per my request they upgraded and replaced my old electrical box, the wood trim and painted everything to match my existing home color. These guys are top notch. I would recommend them to any of my close personal friends without a moment of reservation.

I did 6 months of extensive research on Solar Companies and Solar Panel manufactures before I signed a contract. Sales Process was Excellent., ask for Graham. Quality of Advice was Excellent. On Schedule was Excellent. Price Charged as Quoted . They honored their quote. Quality of Products Used, Quality of Installation was Excellent. Professionalism and Courtesy was Excellent. After Sales Support was also excellent. A lot of companies make enticing offers that as just sales come ons. This company is the real deal.

Everything was handled exactly the way it was explained to us. From the very start with the sales presentation to the final inspection it was all handled with great professionalism. We had one minor hiccup -- small crack in our ceiling that was repaired expertly and efficiently.

They are a great team to work with. Very thorough from meeting Casius who walked us through the process, to Adaggio who kept us apprised of the project timeline, to the installers and finally Bill the electrician who eventually got the monitoring system working. One detail that caused a minor delay was the need for two sources of internet for the monitoring system to work and the assumption that we had it. It's a great idea to have back up internet for these systems but because of our rural location it's not necessarily as easy as those who live urban. Our internet provider was able to direct us to purchase a second router at Best Buy and once that was installed we were good to go. It's very cool to go online and see how much power we made in a day, week, month or year! And it's great that Northern Power will also be there monitoring our system to make sure it continues working optimally.

As a retired Building Official I would not use any other solar company. These guys a real professionals and use quality panels.

Northern Pacific Power Systems just completed the solar project on our Cotati condominium.....like yesterday. Could not be happier! The entire process was smooth, painless and incredibly quick. From our first encounter with Cassius to their job manager Addagio and then their great installers (cleanest most considerate crew I've ever seen) like Ramundo to their electrical expert William everyone was completely professional, prompt and efficient. Cassius gave us all the options up front as well as any available alternatives. Very knowledgable. Addagio took care of all permits and requirements with the city and fire department as well as managing PG&E's paperwork. Ramundo, Tony and the rest of the install crew took only 3 days to do a wonderfully clean install (see pics). We weren't even home for much of the work. Just today William, Northern's electrician, was out to set and verify all the connections and monitoring systems were no less than perfect. My wife and I were originally very concerned about having a large, unattractive converter box that most all systems require because our meter is by our front. No problem! Cassius showed us (literally) panels manufactured by Sunpower that have small converters on each indivudual panel, greatly reducing the amount of electrical components needed at one's meter. Can't say enough good things about these dedicated, smart young guys. Very impressive, VERY price competetive and great to work with. Could not recommend them more highly!

These guys are very professional, very knowledgeable about all aspects of the solar business, including tax credits, and did everything they promised. They were the 5th Company I interviewed before making a decision on full home solar- 3 Primary Reasons I selected them- 1) Local. I can get a hold of a LIVE person anytime!! 2) Stand behind their product- Come to clean panels and inspect AFTER installation- 3) Cassius the salesman- College degree in residential construction- Ex-Contractor- UNDERSTANDS the business as well as the technology- Understands Building as well as the devices involved- They are not the CHEAPEST (Not far off)- If the system does not perform to the % of reduction promised.. We were very satisfied with the solar installation and personnel of Northern Pacific Power. Our salesman, Cassius, was personable and answered all of our questions. Adaggio, our main point of contact during construction, was responsive with prompt emails and information when needed. They made sure we agreed with the final solar panel layout and design before beginning. They seamlessly obtained permits and interfaced with the county and PG&E inspectors. The installers did careful and thoughtful work. This was important to us as my husband is a retired building inspector who is picky about details. The workers made a point of checking in with us before leaving each day to make sure to address anything we needed. Jake, the electrician, was very competent and did an impressive job of replacing our complicated, challenging, and outdated electrical box, which was an extra request of ours. Final inspections by the county and PG&E were easily passed without issues. Jake also matched exterior paint to camouflage conduit on the roof and siding. Cassius and Graham came to our home to wrap up with final information once the job was completed. We highly recommend this company as they did highly professional work and communication was outstanding.

After years of thinking about installing solar on my home I finally had it done at the end of this last Summer and could be happier. There are many different solar companies out in the market now but Northern Pacific Power stood out because of how they presented all my options. After they presented all the options it made the decision to finally go solar very easy for me and my family. They explained every step of the process, and a local company, had great warranties,and even helped with pre filling out PG&E forms. As a family of five my PG&E bills could sometimes top $400 per month in the hot Summer months with the AC running long hours. After one full month of running my first bill was only $3.85 and a far cry from the $400 wasted only a month before. I have the solar app on my phone so I'm able to see each and every day, week, month, and year how my solar system is performing and to say I was happy with my decision to go solar is an UNDERSTATEMENT!
