Extremely patient

This is my first time having solar installed in my home. Momentum was very patient helping me understand what my requirements were. I was very impressed with the detailed line drawings i received of the installation. The installation went very smooth. The install crew worked very well together. I was very impressed how they looked out for each other with regards to safety.

ARIZONA LOCATOIN NOT TEXAS

This template forces me to pick an office location, I see there isn't one for Arizona, leading me to wonder what happened to their 4605 E Elwood St Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ 85040 location?! (see review for details) Can I leave negative stars? I sorta feel bad for Jordan, our sales guy, he was fine but he works for a company that doesn't care AT ALL! He is a middle man stuck trying to get us answers, which never come. Let me break it down: **April 2021 our panels were installed, once installed the electric company gets a submittal from the solar company for approval for the electric co to hook up so we can start solar service. **I called the electric co MID MAY 2021 to see why they were dragging their feet on the hook up. OH NO, the electric co was not the side dragging their feet! The electric co had notified the solar co on MAY 5th 2021 that THEY needed to submit revisions prior to electric co hooking up. **SO I contact the solar co. customer service, well they are "working on it" **I wait a week, I contact electric co to follow up. NOPE! Not a word from solar yet. **Fast forward to MID JUNE 2021. NOTHING has been done. **We get in touch with Andrew Franke, VP of Operations at the solar co. He tried the "I'm so sorry, this must be frustrating, I will get this taken care of, let me keep you posted." routine. **Fast forward to today JULY 12th 2021. I have left two voice mails for ANDREW FRANKE, he has NOT called back. The electric co still has not heard from the solar co. **Today, my husband talked to a nice lady at the solar company customer service who informed him that MOMENTUM DOES NOT CARRY A BUSINESS LIC IN ARIZONA!!! SAY WHAT!? **NOW WE ARE WAITING AGAIN to hear from a manager regarding panel removal. **Momentum, if I have roof damage I hope the process for you to fix it does not take this long. (as my roof was inspected a few months prior to your installation)

A no-brainer

Very skeptical going into home meeting, after 2 hour question and answer session it was it was a no-brainer. I am a firm believer of it something is too good to be true it is but everything I've researched about this proves me wrong.

more expensive than when I didn't have solar

My bill for electric is more than when I had solar. Why would I put in a system that cost me more?

Best Solar Provider out There

When doing my research on solar companies, Momentum Solar had the best reputation and they did not disappoint in my decision; the sales process was very informative.

Salesman lied!!!

Referred by a friend. Leasing panels. Told new bill from Pseg would be about $5.00 per month. They didn’t install enough panels. My Pseg bill with panels range about $160.00 plus the cost of the panels. Never in my life had this type of monthly bill. The Salesman lied throughout our meetings.. Taking advantage of a naive senior. I want out without any penalty!

Ever since signing with this company, I have received absolutely horrendous customer service. My panels havent worked properly since installation, they have been impossible with getting them to replace the panels (cant get a hold of the site Manager and several missed appointments without a heads up or explanation)..... so basically I have panels that I am paying for that are producing less than what they are supposed to, I owe the electric company several hundred dollars that they are refusing to cover, even though they are supposed to...... I wish I never did business with this company. DO NOT make the same mistake I did!!!

I chose Momentum Solar after doing a lot of research. The salesperson (Jeff) was very knowledgeable and I was very pleased with his presentation.

Easy install from start to finish

I was really happy with the process for solar panel sign up & install. Everything went very smoothly with little work from my end and am overall happy with the final product and the process as a whole. However, the initial information inquiring about solar energy felt a little pushy like "used car sales" tactics and it didn't feel like pricing was very transparent. I was quoted a fixed price and a tax credit of "XXXX dollars" before we even knew how many panels or how much equipment was going to be needed for my roof. Overall happy and hope the deal holds up.

Horrible experience with Berlin CT office

On October 17, 2020 my husband and I signed a PPA agreement with the Berlin, CT office of Momentum Solar. Worst decision we ever made. The first install team showed up on December 21st, 2 days after a snowstorm to begin the install. I asked the lead electrician on the team to please not use shovels to clear the snow because the roof was only 8 weeks old and we didn’t want it damaged. He looked at me and said “once we set foot on the roof, we own it, so if we need to use shovels, we will use shovels”. I was extremely taken aback by his rude (and blatantly incorrect) comment. They did use shovels and caused damage to the roof in several locations. Corners of shingles are broken off and the plywood is exposed. We reached out to them with phone calls, texts sending photos of the damages and emails, but the only response we ever receive back is “we will look into it and get back to you”. Then they disappear again. They currently have an amendment they need us to sign, but we are refusing until they repair our damage. Our refusal to sign their documents each time they call is the only way we seem to get their attention. As of today, February 6th, we still haven’t received a response from them on the damage, even though they are contractually obligated to repair the damage. We emailed the corporate office also and are hoping they can assist. If not, we will be forced to seek legal assistance. At this point I don’t know what else to do……

Scammers Run Away

I have file a complaint on Momentum Solar on bbb.com please file a complaint asap to stop this scammers. I paid $11,500 for my solar system back in 2019 ever since i am paying two electric bills, now i am paying $120 on the month of January 2021 no ac no heater on a 805sft home. The house has everything updated new 2019 appliances, water heater with timer and 2016 ac unit, and new led lights in 2019 everything is energy saving. I keep calling them and they keep giving me excuses. I have proof that we all are getting scammed. Here how i got proof, I turned off switch on the outside and the inside switch for the solar. My usage for month of October with solar was 471kwh the waited a month and the usage for November was 470kwh ???? makes no since right. If you want to try it here is how. Make sure you turn it off at nigh at 12am when the your next billing is due. Exp: If the next billing date is 2/7/21 Make sure you turned it off on 2/6/2021 at 11:59pm. Make sure the month will be the same as the as the coming month best as possible. Right now will be the best. Take a picture or video of your electric meter once everything is off for the solar, keep track of your meter Evey week with video or pictures, this way you can keep track of your usage and compare it to your billing and have proof if you are really using more or not. Wait till your next billing date example 3/7/2021 at 11:59 to turn on your solar panels. Like i mentioned run away from this people.

Quite satisfied so far

I have a four because there’s always room for growth and improvement as well as my system hasn’t been energized yet. That said staff that I’ve dealt with have all been courteous, friendly and polite. Any responses to questions I’ve had were done in a professional and timely manner.

If the price is in a range that you can pay

Not quite as good as advertised and it might have to do with a design change that I did not approve but going solar is still worth the investment for me.

I saw other homes in the neighborhood having them and asked questions on Nextdoor. Everyone said nice things about their solar powered so I decided to give it a try. It also makes me feel good that I'm helping our environment by not using so much electricity.

I was looking for a way to reduce my energy costs and found Momentum online. Two sales reps came out (one was in training.) While the meeting was lengthy it went well and the two reps were personable and professional. I signed up that night. I was "persuaded" to provide three referrals for future solar jobs. After getting permission from my three referrals I submitted their names and phone numbers. The installation of my solar system went well and I have no complaints at all with the quality of the panels and installation. The final inspection of the new meter took a while ( I think due to my being in a particular Florida county.) After all was said and done the system did work correctly and I saw immediate savings. Back to the referrals. The first name I offered also signed up and actually had their larger installation installed and turned on before me. (They live in a different Florida county.) I was sent a referral check which was very nice! The second referral decided to wait a while before signing up. When he actually did want to go ahead with his project - the sales rep was difficult to contact and did not return calls. Apparently she left the company. So my friend found another phone number online and got another sales person. He too signed up and had a system installed in his home. He mentioned that I had originally referred him. That fact seemed to have been lost somewhere. I never got the referral fee from Momentum for my second referral. Overall - I am glad I did the project and think that Solar is the way to go in Florida.

momentum solar is a great company. there was no cost for installation, the system took only a few hours to install, the customer service representatives are helpful, and we are saving money every month on our electric bill. of course, we are feeling good about helping our environment. i thank them for helping us to obtain this system.

Work done in one day and these guys worked extremely hard in wicked cold temperatures.
