Cannot even schedule a repair for warranties

My 3 panels stopped working on 12/29 I emailed Lumina on Jan 8. Provided the enphase error. They confirmed with enphase that there was an issue but did not get a repair date. Followed up 2 times and they still would not give me a date up to today Feb 4. Avoid this company, they will sell but not fulfill their contractual obligations on warranty. My panels are only 4 years old and our contract covers 10 year warranty on parts and labor.

Smooth Install and Impressed with the outcome.

We are currently in the dead of winter and I'm producing over 50% of my daily usage. I look forward to the summertime, but so far, I'm extremely impressed. They even produce with snow on them.

I have had my solar system installed by Lumina for just over 2 months now and could not be happier. My sales rep was Mr. Charlie Keyser. On our first call, Charlie used several different programs to calculate how much sunlight my roof would get during all the seasons. It was very important to me to see how this would work and the potential breakeven analysis. Charlie and the Lumina team have a seamless process for the engineering, permitting, and financing. Each time that I had a question, someone on the team was very quick to respond with accurate information. During the entire process, I was kept informed of where we were in the process. After the permitting process was complete, Jeff and Devin came out and were the site leads for the installation. To prevent wildlife damage, I had 48 panels installed on my roof with the CritterGuards. The complete installation took two days, and Jeff and Devin were absolute professionals. Once the installation was finished, Lumina's team handled all the paperwork for county inspections and tax rebate applications. Once that was complete, I received permission from Dominion Energy to turn on the system. The final step was completed when Lumina sent Mr. Brian Sperty to replace the drywall and repaint the areas that had to be removed for the electrical wiring installation. Bryan was awesome to work with. His work was flawless, and he was a pleasure to chat with. Bottom line, Lumina sold me a great product, and their sales/support team is top-notch. I highly recommend.

We had a fantastic experience using Lumina to install our solar system. Christopher Richardson was incredibly helpful throughout the process and he made it easy to make a well-informed decision. Th installation team was on time, professional, clean and QUICK. They were on site just over 4 hours. Incredible. There were a few delays along the way that were out of Lumina’s control (township and electric company dragging their feet), Christopher and team did a good job of keeping us aware of where the process was and what the next steps would be. My system has only been up and running for 3 days, but so far we are very satisfied with the choice to go with Lumina for this investment.

Very professional from sales to implementation. The quality is excellent and unlike Trinity, you can actually use this solar system as an electrical generator (backup). Our electric bills over the summer months were almost zero; sold quite a bit of electric back via the two-way meter. We are beyond pleased with all aspects to date.

My husband and I are very pleased with Lumina Solar. Unlike some of the other companies, they actually come to your house for an evaluation before developing the project plan. And they do the installation themselves, rather than subcontracting it. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone considering solar.

Great workmanship but not happy with a few things.

I was really excited with the idea of getting a rooftop PV system, and Lumina had really good reviews. Their price was nearly identical to another very highly rated company in my area and I liked the look of the REC panels so we went with Lumina. During the initial sizing I proposed a symmetric configuration that was pleasing to the eye and was told 'we can discuss the exact configuration during the engineering phase'. Well, I was never contacted until all of the approvals were complete and at that point it was too late to get the configuration that I wanted. The Lumina configuration was unsymmetric and had 1 fewer panel on the highly productive south facing roof. It was not the end of the world, but I take pride in the aesthetics of my house. In the end I was able to get them to make it symmetric, but with the one less panel in the good orientation. The biggest problem, however is that the panels on the front of the house are in a nearly ideal orientation, facing almost south, and with a roof pitch that is good for this latitude. The 400+ watt panels are oriented well enough that they should be able to generate close to 400 watts during the middle of the day (cloud cover permitting). Lumina specified and installed 300 watt inverters so those panels never produce more than 300 watts. Instead of a sine wave for production I get a curve that is clipped flat on top. 300 watt inverters are ok for the back of the house where the sun angles are not as ideal and the panels cannot produce as much power, but not for the front. So why am I giving them 4 stars? Well, their Operations department that scheduled and performed the installation did a really good job and were a delight to work with. The workmanship is really good and everything has been functioning for the first 16 months of operation. There were no surprises in the pricing.

Jump! Solar Instal! Now!

Lumina Solar ARE a great company for you to jump into greener energy. Tim Cooke (and associates) spent the time explaining to us about the technology, about the benefits (with calculations) based on our usage. We had plenty of questions and they took the time to know about our situation and answered to their best effort. We are 6 months into our solar installation and our PEPCO bill for this summer was totally obliterated as compared to same period in 2023. This should have been an easy decision years ago, seeing our bill (even a check from PEPCO!) has made us advocates. Get onto Solar, fast. The savings are there. In addition to less PEPCO reliance, is the Solar Renewable Energy Credits from the utilities, which means you are helping PEPCO (and by extension the USA) meet its green energy goals. Lumina Solar were the perfect partner in helping us go Solar!

Personal experience with Lumina Solar PA

This past spring I started to explore options for solar power. I spent time researching different companies and settled on Lumina Solar PA. I reached out and within a day had a return call and we discussed my solar needs. Jack Wood then worked up a solar plan and recontacted me about my options and cost. He spent time going over all the details, specs, and pricing. He also offered several options for financing. He then coordinated a roof engineer inspection. Once I made a decision to proceed the Lumina project team took over to handle all the permits, local, power company, and worked to keep the project on track. Excellent service and installation

Lumina Solar provided a full and complete proposal for our rooftop solar array. They provided the spec sheets for all equipment. They not only provided the information on the panels and the microinverters, they even provided information down to the details about the specialty brackets and caulking used to attach the system to the roof. They handled all permitting with the local county officials. The electrical team that upgraded the electrical panel was meticulously precise in the placement of the additional panel boxes, wiring and where they ran the conduit. The solar panel roof installation team arrived on time, explained the process and worked seamlessly to install the roof panels and critter guards without delay. After installation and activation of the system, Lumina Solar still stayed in contact and provided excellent customer service to get us connected to the solar credit system in our area. We highly recommend Lumina Solar based on our experience with Kurt Bradshaw and his team.

I can honestly say that my experience with Lumina Solar has been first rate from day one. I am a senior citizen and not too computer knowledgeable and the team walked me through every process. Now ids the time to get a solar roof.

I have been wanting to get a solar roof for over 20 years and now is the time. The whole process was easy to go through and the steps were completed on time or early. I expected the installation to be ready to use by the end of October 2024 and it was turned on in late September 2024. The installation was completed in about half a day for my 16 panel system. The workers were very professional and the finished work product looks professional as well.

Solar Dividends

Extremely happy with all aspects of solar installation by Lumina. Tim Cooke helped walk us through all phases. Most months our electric bill is $8.77 This is a standard charge from PEPCO. I am retired and my wife will be soon. We were looking for ways to lower our fixed expenses in retirement. In addition to a small monthly bill we get checks for the additional power we are creating. We are on track to our full payback date.
