We met with 3 different companies and honestly after our mtg with lumina it was a very easy decision. They were very easy to talk to and walk us through the process. The install team was excellent and provided a clean job site . Would totally used them again if we ever had another need .

Highly recommended

Lumina Solar was easy to work with from day one. They listened to what we wanted, gave us detailed plans and options, with very competitive prices. We went with a 11.88 kW system and they started the work quickly after we signed the contract, on the day and time they said they would. Every single employee we dealt with at Lumina Solar was knowledgeable and helpful. As an example everyone stepped around our growing flowers without squashing any of them! The system has been up for a few months and is delivering the rated power and I am also very satisfied with the reporting system. I don't think I've ever had as good an experience with a contractor. I could not recommend Lumina Solar more.

Solar installation

We worked with Zac Hare at Lumina Solar for our solar installation. We very much appreciate Zac’s help in every step of the way starting from presenting the product till Solar Panels installation and thereafter. Zac has been very professional, very patient, answered all our questions to our satisfaction and did everything at the time convenient to us. Lumina installation crew were also very accommodation and very professional and kept us in the loop through out the process. We are very pleased with our new solar panels, recently installed by Lumina Solar. Lumina did an outstanding job, from our initial exploratory meeting with them all the way through the solar panel delivery and installation effort. Washington DC solar project

Thank you to the Lumina team for helping us with our solar installation project. There are many factors that go into choosing a solar solution and installation company. The Lumina team made the process clearer and easier than we could have done on our own. With their detailed, no pressure sales process, we felt confident in knowing which products and design to choose to get the best results. The installation project went very smooth; from permitting through the turning the system on. Now we are generating enough energy to fully offset our electricity usage even in the months where we have the highest kW consumption. The Lumina team helped us design the solution so that we now have little or no monthly expense to our electricity usage, which feels good for keeping expenses down and for the environment. Also there are many companies that offer 'free' solar out there but with the guidance of the Lumina team, we quickly saw how this was not the best long-term decision for us. Purchasing the system outright made the most sense, considering the tax incentives and SREC dividends. Now we have lower monthly expenses and expect to recoup our entire initial investment within a few years.

Excellent customer service!

The customer service at Lumina is unbeatable. Ryan is genuinely passionate about solar energy. I got a great education on solar and the return on investment we can expect to see. Lumina managed every step of the process for us, including state rebate and establishing our SREC account and stayed in constant communication with us. They were able to quickly get us installed and inspected virtually during COVID. Their price was also lower than other companies we consulted with. We are thrilled with our new solar energy home!

Lumina installed my solar system a couple months ago, and I want everyone to know how fantastic this company is, and I urge anyone looking to make the switch to call Lumina Solar. From the very beginning of researching solar companies, I was most impressed with other customer reviews and they were absolutely right. I met with 3 solar companies, and I was most impressed with Zac Hare. I had a delay by no fault of lumina and they kept me informed all the way. On install day, I had 61 panels which is a failry large job, and everyone arrived on time. Mark the electrician was awesome and his work is excellent. The installers worked 2 days in the cold and wind and were polite and very respectful , Nick didnâ t leave one speck of trash , and the installer running the group sent me pictures so I could see what it looked like. For anyone that is considering going solar please make sure u call Lumina Solar. The panels they use r the best, they take great care with the installation and you r treated as a valued customer . There r many choices but at the end of the day there is really only one good company and thatâ s Lumina. U can get in touch with them any time and u will get call or email back. Very friendly people and a good company

All of the people at Lumina Solar were very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions with patience. The solar panels went up in one day as scheduled, and they followed up with me to make sure everything worked and I was satisfied. They have the best technology to determine placement and sizing of a system, and they were the only company I found who figured out that the back part of my roof would be a perfect place for the panels, which they have turned out to be.

Excellent, personalized service

I met with several solar installers and finally choose Lumina. I have been extremely happy with both their products and services. Alex Ticu was highly professional, had a clear computer simulation of what the panels could look like, provided me with clear responses to each of my questions, never pressured me into the sale and kept me updated throughout the process. Despite the extended delays due to the local county process, they continued to send their staff whenever it was needed. The solar installer folks were a happy crew, they worked efficiently and effectively together on the process. Excellent work with Installation and Follow up

I had done my research over 12 months and in August 2019 decided to go with Lumina Solar and met with Alex Ticu. After several discussions with him I decided to add the Tesla Powerwall 2. Everything was installed and commissioned by Dec 31, 2019 so I was able to get the full 30% Fed Tax credit. The electrical work and conduit routing and installation by Josh was a work of art that I proudly show off to anyone. Erica, Erin and Mary Kate coordinated the project and did all the background work and things went smoothly. I recommend Lumina Solar

Excellent Job on Large System

Lumina installed a very large solar system and 4 Tesla Powerwalls for me. Ryan Farrell and his team kept me up to date every stage of a very long and complex design and permitting process. We had signed our contract late in the year with hoping to get it finished before year end. Lumina worked hard when our permits where approved to keep us on schedule despite generally uncooperative weather including coming out to finish things up Christmas Eve. They have continued to go above and beyond making sure all the monitoring utilities are working correctly post completion. Very pleased with Lumina and would recommend it without reservation.

I selected Lumina from a long list of both local and national solar companies based on great reviews, great presentation and a great deal. From the beginning, working with Colin was very easy and it was clear he knew the technical details I sought. He was responsive to any and all questions at any time and his team was professional and respectful of our new yard during the installation process. For Solar Panels, Lumina Solar is the Only Way to Go!!

Lumina Solar installed a seventy (70) panel solar system on my house. From the initial contact through the final hook-up and beyond, their service and professionalism was of the highest level. Perhaps the best contractor I had the pleasure of working with! My point of contact at Lumina Solar was Zachary Hare. Zac provided a detailed quote, and answered all of my questions very clearly. He presented several customized proposals with different options. He is very easy to work with and did not use “hard sell” tactics at all. He went out of his way to make sure that I got the best price while still maximizing the system wattage. He is very communicative; calls and/or e-mails were promptly answered. He sent regular updates on progress of various aspects of the project. Lumina Solar quality of the work is outstanding also; down to the level of aesthetic placement of wiring inside the attic. All work was performed as scheduled without delays. Their workers were on time, courteous, trustworthy and left the house clean and tidy once they had finished. Following the installation, Lumina Solar also helped me with the paperwork for MD grant and SREC setup. My system is online and live now. I am very happy with the output so far! I would most definitely recommend Lumina Solar to anyone who is considering installation of solar panels.

Excellent Solar Installation Company

After a 6-month long search and review process I settled on Lumina as my solar panel installation company. I have a pretty complicated hip roof and the Lumina team skillfully negotiated a few challenges and produced an esthetically pleasing 44-panel array on my roof. Zac was my initial salesman and point person who educated me quite a bit about the nuances of the solar conversion process. Zac was always available for my questions and he proactively kept me up-to-date and was always in touch even during my 6-month review period. Santos, Josh and Kyle (the tech that did a lot of the tortuous work in my hot attic space) were the primary folks conducting the installation and I was very pleased with their professionalism and knowledge of their craft. The installation part took 1.5 days at the beginning of October 2019 and my PEPCO bill was dramatically reduced for the October 2019 billing cycle and for my November 2019 billing cycle, my system produced an excess amount of energy and my bill was only $8.95 for PEPCO administrative fees. My PEPCO bill can be as high as $500 in the summer and averages about $290 per month when I add in the low bills over the winter. Thanks to the Lumina team I can look forward to helping the planet and my bank account!!!
