At our first stop we met Logan from Longhorn Solar. Logan was extremely professional but also very personable which put at us immediate ease. Logan made sure to let us know the process and what we would be dealing with from start to finish. He provided a personal proposal for us based on our location and electric usage to best meet our needs and budget. His explanation was spot on, except it was even easier than we anticipated! Once we had secured funding for our project the installation was completed in just over a week. We are now enjoying the benefits of solar energy and peace of mind for reducing our carbon footprint. Longhorn Solar provided competent and professional service throughout the installation process--from the sales team, Justin and Patrick, to the project manager Kelli, from the installation team to the upper-level management. They responded thoroughly and promptly to every question. They addressed every obstacle put in our path from the neighborhood HOA and did so with patience and extraordinary support. Completely Satisfied with Longhorn Solar's Products and Service

I got six bids from local solar companies. Longhorn Solar stood high about the rest. They were thorough in the assessment of whether we could have an array and how large it could be. Longhorn was the only company that sent a tech to climb on our second story house to make these measurements. Then Logan Bennett, using that information, put together a detailed presentation based on the findings. Longhorn had the best bid too. While I was still evaluating the bids, Bennett's boss called to make sure we had all we needed. Yes, we did, and we hired them. The expert staff installed the panels in one day. We were up and running after the local utility inspected their work. I only wish that we could have accommodated a larger array! Longhorn Solar proved to be the right choice.

Professional Company at every level

Longhorn Solar did a great job installing both me and my daughter's Solar PV systems. My daughter had Longhorn install hers about 2 years ago and she does not have an electric bill. My account Manager, Logan B was professional, extremely responsive and importantly, listened to me and my goals rather than trying to push a certain size system on me. No pushy sales junk. No shady sales tactics. Just great consultation, listening to me and designing a system that is predicted to meet those goals. Installation took less than a day. Great customer service. Logan, Kelli, and others at the company are always responsive. Communication post sale has been great. Just can't say enough good things about Longhorn Solar. Highly recommend that you call them or reach out directly to Logan B.. 25 year company labor and service warranty. 20 year company production guarantee...so if the sun doesn't shine for 2 years, it is in writing that they will reimburse me for that. Plus the manufacturers warranties. I am stacked with money backed guarantees and warranties....I have no worries even if the sun decides to go into hiding. Great system, worry free, stellar customer service. Highly Recommend! We were installed in October of 2013. Just today (over 4 years later) my account Manager, Logan Bennett, called and then came by to do a system check and it turns out we are producing an additional 4% from what Longhorn predicted back in 2013! Great company with the best customer service.

Longhorn Solar

Longhorn Solar install a 2.5 kWh system in Nov. 2012 and I have had no problem with the system. Micro inverters were installed and I have received monthly reports of the weekly performance of the system. A recent review by my account manager Logan Bennett showed that the system was continuing to produce at 90% of the original estimate, which given the local trees and recent weather seems good. I would and have recommended Longhorn Solar to friends and family.

Making money

Great company to work with. Logan was our sales rep and he made sure to build the perfect quote for our needs. Now instead of having an outrageous electric bill we receive monthly credits! Cant beat it.

Honesty, Integrity and Good Folks at Longhorn

Took a look at several solar companies. Longhorn Solar earned my business for several reasons. First, they insisted on a proper site assessment before producing a proposal. I am a little old fashioned but I think most people appreciate a project assessment done right. Second, Logan Bennett, Longhorn's Sales & Account Manager was very relaxed, really seemed to care about my goals rather than trying to sell me a the biggest solar system he could. Longhorn proved to be relaxed while also be extremely responsive to any questions that I had. There was never any sales pressure which was really appreciated. Logan continues to reach out every few months to make sure that we are still happy with the system. Installation took less than a day and the crew was friendly and tidy. No complaints about anything. Glad we got solar from Longhorn.

Perfect solar panels

This was a low pressure calm sale and installation. We had much to learn and research before making a decision. Carmen Franks held our hand and was most helpful and patient with us. Installation was smooth and it’s all easy to monitor.

Super easy and saves money

Longhorn Solar installed 5 kW of solar panels on our roof in March 2016. Logan Bennett made the process super easy. He took care of getting HOA approval and managed all of the approvals from Austin Energy. I love seeing the credit on our monthly electric bill showing how much electricity our panels generated and how much money we save each month.

Excellent experience using Longhorn for a 22.5 system. Dealt with Bryan Kerr, who was excellent at customer service, handling permits and applications, etc. My first experience with solar, was happy to have such an honest group to deal with. Very happy with all aspects of the job, support, timing, execution. Highly recommended.

Solar w/Longhorn a no brainer

Longhorn Solar installed my panels over a year ago. I wanted to wait on the system results before leaving a review. System has produced just as promised and then done. Sales process: this is a zero sales pressure company. I got a solar proposal from my Sales Rep, Logan, many months before I decided to buy. I appreciated detailed semi-technical reports that showed me, not just my Design/Proposal but, more importantly, why they designed the way they did. He provided a quick tutorial of how I could double check ANY solar proposal''s main claims for myself. Armed with this, I checked the "annual solar production" predictions from a few other companies I was talking with and, sure enough, the competition was intentionally inflating the production numbers to make their bids appear better. Longhorn was way more professional than anyone else. I am in Sales so I know the tricks -- others tried pressure tactics while Longhorn did not. I admit I went cold (mostly because I was busy) and didn''t communicate to Logan the reason why. During the 4 month period when I decided to put solar on hold, other companies Sales reps harassed me with near daily calls/texts/emails. Logan respected my privacy. So, 4-5 months later when I was ready to move forward, one call to him and he had me a fresh (non expired) bid in less than 15 minutes. The whole company is excellent with communication. Installation was a half day breeze. All HOA homework for my project was taken care of by Logan. I literally had to do nothing other than pay (the payment timeline was clearly explained). Over a year in and we couldn''t be happier. If you are considering solar -- you would be doing yourself a great disservice if you don''t contact Longhorn Solar. Again, ask for Logan.

We had a somewhat large project of ground-mount panels and despite what felt like a maze of underground lines and solid rock to drill through, it went great and looks great! Thanks to Carmen and Stuart for making it happen!!

33 panels, 4/6 months of negative consumption!

I wanted solar on my home. After much frustration a friend told me about Longhorn Solar. Longhorn was a pleasure to work with, very thorough in their engagement with me and their proposal has lived up to its predict, in some cases exceeding expectations. I have 33 panel, 9.56kWh system, on my home and have had 4 of 6 months of negative power consumption. Solar is definitely my favorite purchase, and Longhorn was the most competitive on price and install timeline. I would absolutely recommend Longhorn Solar to anyone looking for solar.

She kept me informed all the way through my installation and answered every question I threw at her. Excellent company

These guys made going solar incredibly easy. My Account Manager, Logan, did a great job answering all my questions and was always quick to respond to all my calls and emails. He even helped me prepare everything to submit to my HOA. I don't think I had to do anything at all beyond signing Austin Energy paperwork. The staff at Longhorn communicated effectively throughout the entire process so I always knew the timeline of my project. Over a year later since installation and my solar is producing even better than promised during the sales pitch. I called it a sales pitch but I never felt even one iota of sales pressure. Instead, Logan used an educational and consultative approach. He spent time to explain that I didn't need the biggest system possible and that a three pronged strategy of solar, energy efficiency improvements over time (I have an older home that will definitely benefit from energy efficiency projects) and simple conservation would be the best bang for my buck to eventually completely erase my electric bills. Never felt like I was being oversold or pressured...exactly what most normal people want when considering a big ticket purchase like solar. Austin rebates and the Federal Tax Credit made the decision a no brainer. I also really like that my Account Manager continues to check in with me over a year after the sale. Great company with friendly helpful folks who obviously care about their customers and seem to really enjoy their work. Don't think twice. Call Longhorn Solar.

Awesome service

I have been impressed with the sales and installation process with Longhorn Solar. Jimmy was very knowledgeable and caring. I never get pressured to make a decision. Once I did go with Jimmy and Longhorn, I was getting updated information from Kelli the project mgr. She was very kind and helpful. We got bids from 4 companies including longhorn solar and found longhorn to be the most economical. Their sales representative, Logan, was also great to work with and answered all our questions. The installers showed up on schedule and the installation went very smoothly. The installers made sure that I was happy with the install before they left. Longhorn Solar - best under the sun!

There are a lot of rooftop solar sales folks that ply our neighborhood - I had one yesterday that didn't notice we already had panels on our roof and started on his spiel until I pointed up. That was that. The panels I was pointing to were installed last year by Longhorn Solar. Professional, courteous, prompt, and helpful in navigating rebates and incentives. The equipment they installed is top quality. It even _looks_ good. If you want rooftop solar and have the opportunity to work with Longhorn, do it. Now, every hot and sunny Texas day (viz., most days), I just think about the money we're making.
