Completely dissatisfied; poor planning and workmanship; 3 day project took 6 days; poor electrical system plan created over 17 hours of power outage over 2 work days and 3 different crews to finally install correctly; damaged tiles have not been replaced; roof debris was left on side yard and had to request it be removed after 3rd day; I had to clean up dust and remaining debris/dust in garage and side yard every night; original plans for batteries and panels were going to be placed on wall with narrow path and unsafe; no walkthrough prior to work be started

Vastly Overpriced, High-Pressure Sales

They (or their agents) were canvassing door-to-door in Illinois. Their sales tactics involved spinning numbers around on their phone, emotional appeals ("You want to protect your family, right?"), saying whatever they thought the buyer wanted to hear (knowing it would all be disavowed by the contract anyway), and applying pressure to "sign now so you don't miss out on the incentives". Of course, after e-signing their forms, they finally email you the LONG contract, hoping you don't read it in time to cancel before their penalty fees are in force. Government incentives? They go to the company, of course. Their generation guarantee? It'll pay a fraction of the cost of the replacement electricity, and only if they determine that they have failed to meet a reduced fraction of the quoted energy generation over the entire life of the system. In short, the total cost of their lease was more than FOUR TIMES the after-incentive purchase cost from a local installer. When we called them to cancel the deal, they immediately offered to lower the price. Buyer Beware!

I doubt it. I asked them to put some of the panels on the west side, said no it did not look good. Solar production for 9/01 was 32 kwh, for the first 3 days of sept it was 91kwhs some of the panels should have been on the west to get the hot sun for production. Bad design

Lied to by this companies solar representative

We met with a representative from Legacy, he made his pitch. It sounded good because he kept telling us that our solar panels would produce enough to cancel out our power bill leaving us looking at a negative $15 bill. When we received a bill from our electric company for over $300 we were shocked! We contacted the representative who kept giving us the run around and not answering our questions. We then contacted the customer service office. There we were informed by a customer service rep that our sales rep lied to us about our system to close the sale. So now instead of eliminating a large bill we now are stuck paying two bills because like other reviews on here our solar panels do nothing for us. We looked into how to get them off since their company lied to us about the system and we were informed that it would cost us over $17,000 to undo what is done. Stay away from this company. Instead of making things better for my family of 7 they have now made things worse!!

Communication

The really fail at communicating. Super poor service. They only care about the money. Any ways it took them over a year to finally doing all the installs. Really pissed me off. Never once listened to any of my concerns about the setup. When I finally got to talk to the region supervisor it got better but still not great. Just like others on here I barely make enough solar power to actually do much help. 21 x400w panels wasn’t enough. On top of all that the electrician they contracted out ended up having a heat stroke in the middle of connecting everything. It was a long year for poor service and a lot of money spent I wish I didn’t spend

Another shady solar company

We contacted with LGCY solar. The salesman came out and made his pitch. They had Titan Solar install the panels. Needless to say, I do not have enough panels on my roof, so they do nothing. They were in so much of a hurry to get my money that they failed to do a roof inspection. My roof needed replacement. Trying to call LGCY, and they never ever return any calls. Titan just went out of business, so I am up sh!ts Creek without a paddle. Stay away from this company. The owners should go to prison.

Installation Damage

Installers Damaged

Let me start by stating this Review only allows to show the state of Arizona and not California. California is where our home is at. California is where the solar panels and work was performed at: 1628 Rio Vista Court, Oakley, California 94561. We have called everyone we could talk to about the damage that was made here. The only person that will talk to us *live* is the man that gave us the confidence to purchase solar. I am so so so angry and sorry that I allowed anyone on our new roof and to work on our house. The van's pulled up that were not branded or shown any affiliation with your company or the name of the business that was contracted. A competitor that had actually been at our house during the time the sales person was here inside our home, sold solar on the next street over. That company was so proud of the work, they have a sign on their lawn to boast how good their solar work was. We have NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WITH THE NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS LEFT TO DO ANY BOASTING, PRIDE OR SELLING. Here is a list: 1) Roof damage, 2) Gutters that were squished and damaged with feet or ladders 3) Holes up to the size of 5 inches left wide open to the elements in the stucco either with multiple drill holes 4) Gaping holes where the conduit was run into the walls and Electrical panel, 5) Expensive Tools left on site, 6) Shingles broken and gaping wide with no protection or glue of any sort to protect the area under the shingles. It was installed 7 years ago and no one, except the inspector at the time the roof was put on, has been up or near our roof. 6)and there is more all supported with pictures. The foreman came to the door to say the work was done, but did not walk myself around the house to discuss the damage or acknowledge the damage while standing at my door. The installation is NOT complete because the foreman stated they needed to get into our garage to the electrical panel and upgrading it to allow the solar to be run properly into our house. They said they would have another crew come back to do this work. Ok, but who is going to fix all this damage this crew has left behind? Instead of keeping the date for the next crew to be immediately followed behind this crew, we were moved out to May 25, 2024. I cannot say anything of this service that is redeeming. We have not received one call to talk *live* to either of us to apologize or talk about repairs. The only thing we received was a text message saying no crews can come any day before May 25th, 2024. The After Sale Support has been non existent. What will you do with information and the damage ? For the questions below, we were never given anything that discussed the System Size, the brand panels, the inverter brand. We have more photos of damage to share with you. HORRIBLE

Mislead this single Mom. Sold me a system that doesn’t fit my home and I pay more with Solar then I did without. When asked to make it right by adding the additional tiles they said I needed to offset the cost. They told me I had to pay. Their sales person sold me a complete lie expecting I would know about Solar. Trusted what he said and what he quoted me. He no longer works for the company.. go figure. Stay far away they will dupe you.

Waited 8 months for permits-LGCY was very slow in this process. Was told the total process would be completed in June. Installation was not done at all like what was discusses in the survey. Installers said it could not be done like what was finalized during survey. Paying that amount of money -home owner should get what was discussed.

Communication

Little to no communication or updates on progress. Ask for a review after my install yet I’m still wondering what the next step is? The crew did a good job on the install with the exception of some garbage left in the front and back yard and the scratches on my gutter from sliding the solar panels up them and som of the panels have scratches. All in all I would give the install crew a 95%

Stay Away - they are liars

Everyone wins but the solar customer. I've had solar for 6 months now and am still paying a high APS bill. So basically paying double what my APS bill was. Sam the salesman will sit in your kitchen and tell you that you may get a small bill for the first 2 months but don't worry we'll take care of that. Once the bills started coming all of a sudden he can't answer his phone or texts. APS gets to use your generated solar for a steal and credit it back to you at a much lower rate, so you still owe APS, LCGY gets to make their profits and you end up paying double what you did. Shame as I had friends interested who were waiting to see my experience, I told them to run for the hills.

Rebranded fly by night UNTD Solar team

UNTD has gone bankrupt. Their last email said they were now LGCY, yet in contacting LGCY they change their answers, stating that they don't know who UNTD is, that the deal with UNTD fell through, and many more excuses. The funny thing though, if you ask, many of the scammers from UNTD are now at LGCY. Namely Jed Wintle (notable for doing this exact same thing with many other solar companies, look him up online!) Sucks that UNTD scammed so many people. They made their cash grab and bailed! Chances are that LGCY is going to do the exact same thing!

SCAM BEWARE

You are told yu will not have an energy bill however you actually have a solar and energy bill. They install panels then take months to activate. Once activated you will have a bill for panels depending on size of home $100-$300 monthly plus your energy bill $100-$400 monthly. Now you have doubled your monthly bill!! Stay away. Solar seems to be a scam and is not worth working with scam artists. Samuel 11682 is who I dealt with and he never returned my calls after getting my money. STAY AWAY FROM LGCY!!!

HORRIBLE. They do not stand up to the mission. They say right on their website they provide you a system that will save you money. They did not and when I request them to make it right they said I have to pay for more panels. The system they quoted and told me would save me is not large enough for my home and I now pay more money with Solar then I ever did without. Do not use this company. They will scam you and not return your calls or respond to your concerns. HORRIBLE

Stay way from Brett F!

Stay away from this company. Do not allow Brett F! into your house, it will be the worst mistake of your life. The presentation was brought up to me as a "no hassle, no pressure" scenario. they did a soft pull to see if I even qualified which I was ok with. I did set up a home inspection to see if the roof was in good shape however due to financial circumstances I could not proceed with the install. 2 weeks later I got an invoice for $4200 stating cancelation fee. I reached out to Brett who happens to be the district manager and even he stated that was a mistake and he would take care of it. Im still getting emails about the past due amount and Brett is nowhere to be found. will not answer emails or text messages. I called their customer support and I'm now going back and forth with them. No equipment was ever dropped off, no contractor was ever on my roof, no services were ever provided. Go with another provider.
