Overall very good experience!

The process was overall very smooth. They do all the legwork for you. They are pretty good at communicating and scheduling. I wish the sales associate would reach out more along the process instead of simply at the beginning. Overall process from start to finish takes several months which was also not explained. Only reasons for not getting 5 stars.

Easiest Home Improvement

Ion Solar made the installation process for our solar panels very easy, handling all the paperwork, submitting applications, and getting all the permits required. One minor delay due to missing paperwork for an inspection, however, it was taken care of the following day, causing only a minor delay.

Great way to save $$

Salesman helped me to decide if adding solar panels was a good choice for my own situation. Once I decided company kept me abreast of entire process. Installation went great! Employees friendly. My only concern was when it was time to turn system on I was advised by text. I would have preferred one more visit to show me in person.

Very Communicative

A great company that was easy to work with and punctual on most things throughout the process. Their app is very helpful for keeping track of progress throughout installation and to keep track of energy generated once your panels are in use.

So far, so good

My sales rep, Greg, was energetic and ready to get the ball rolling. The installation crew members were respectful and willing to explain the steps in the installation process. Other than the Envoy not working upon installation and having to wait on the technician to come out and replace it, I was satisfied with ION. The system has been up and running for a few days, and so far, all is working as promised.

Great But Slow

I chose ION because they came to my house and told me that I could get solar panels without any initial investment. I signed a contract the middle of March (just before the pandemic necessitated a stay-at-home order) and they turned it on the last full week of September. I love that I can see my energy production and other details about the performance of my panel array.

Good product-bad communication

We love our solar but they could use some work on communication. The last month had the best communication.

We're not very far along in our process but we've had a good experience with ION Solar so far. Everyone has been polite and keeps us updated on where we are in the process.

Overall Good Service

Salesman, Project Manager, and Installation team were all professional and helpful. The team that assigns where installation teams go each day kept trying to pull the installation team off of my project, which caused almost a week delay. Having said that, I am pleased with the end results.

Almost stellar experience

Great low-stress salesperson. Wonderful installers. A little disconnect with corporate in scheduling, after awaiting parts, but finally resolved. Glad to have it complete, and ready to save money!

Great with a small hiccup

Everything has been fantastic so far, with the exception of a design change to the layout of panels on our roof that has delayed our system getting turned on by a few weeks. Make sure the site assessment takes into account the location of the pipes and features on the roof. Other than that, service has been great. Can't wait to get our system up and running, especially as we head into June when our production potential will be at its greatest.

My first experience is my best experience

I partnered with the ION family. In every step of the process I had a resource to turn to when I had questions. Eddie took time to call me and explain the electrical interconnections and the flow of power from the array into the home. My concerns over construction details were addressed promptly from Doug. My personnel Project coordinator Jeff saw to every issue I saw promptly. I like most first time buyers are also last time buyers in that we only do solar once in our life time. My experience was exceptional.

Solar Installed!!

Ion Solar was the third company to come to my door and try to gain my business. I went with Ion because the gentlemen were professional, knowledgeable, gave me incentives and a thorough explanation of the entire solar process. The surveyors and installers were also very professional and answered any questions I had during the installation.

Michael Rowley our project manager kept us up to date even when the project hit delays. We are very happy with the installation project and like the sleek look of our panels. The electrition did an amazing job secind even impressed the Black Hills inspectors.

Customer service

The installation team are very nice courteous and professional. They gave their best in installing the panel even it was windy day. They finished the job. The only thing is the people in the office needs coordination. The Clients needs to follow up on stuff and what process are they on. They don’t give updates to client. They have a poor team communications.
