Glad we chose Intermountain Wind and Solar

We had been thinking about solar power and had not moved ahead with it. Then a door to door salesman stopped by and got us thinking about solar again. I researched all the solar companies in our area and decided to go with Intermountain Wind and Solar. This was back when the tax benefits were good. The price per watt was better than others and I think maybe it does have to do with the volume of panels they buy. Anyway, the install was just as promised and everything is working well. We were advised to install just the right amount of panels so we were not over producing which is not a benefit to the homeowner (just Rocky Mountain Power). Our bill is usually $9 each month but sometimes more depending on weather and temperatures.

Fantastick company

They were to be only the installers of the system, but turned out I need more panels and went thru them as well. The entire process with them was easy. They always had the information and when things would occur. And they resolved issues that I had with the original sales company.

Fantastic Solar

Intermountain Solar is by far the best solar company there is out there. Customer care is wonderful and the follow up to make sure you are all up and running was great. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone, price, quality,install, and service was and is great.

Rooftop Solar

I have researched rooftop solar for about eight years and had four different companies give me bids. Intermountain Wind and Solar rose to the top for number of reasons--their track record, their salesman were helpful and attentive without being pushy, and their installations was fast and professional. I am waiting for the power company to change my meter and then we'll be making hay when the sunshines. I have been very happy with IW&S all the way through the process.

Home solar sales and installation

We are highly satisfied all the way through with sales, installation, and support. Cost was very competitive. It seems that start to finish time (first visit with sales rep to final installation) was long, and potential customers may want to stipulate some parameters here. Of course, we have no way to compare this item with competing vendors.

Couldn't be happier

We looked at a lot of different solar companies before choosing Intermountain Wind & Solar. We didn't feel pressured, felt the answered every question we had, had the track record to prove we would be happy long-term, and they delivered on every single promise made. Our system went in without a hitch plus it produces more power than estimated.

Sales was helpful

Sales rep was helpful. Install crew didn't seem to agree with some of the install plans, the team wouldn't install equipment on first date scheduled. Came back a couple weeks later on next available date, went ahead with original plan. Sales rep was unavailable during install, and since the two departments didnt communicate well, it caused issues. Sales cycle seemed long, 6 months plus, almost all of it was waiting on IWS, the city and HOA approvals just took a couple days to schedule and complete. IWS electricians, architect, and install crews were usually the bottle neck. I don't think their price was much better or worse than other options. And they don't provide financing. Havent needed much support after install two years ago, so we're pleased with that.

Great Experience

We went with Inter-mountain after researching other companies. I liked the customer service from the beginning to end. They were very communicative about the process and each step we were in. The installation of the panels was quick and professional. After installation they brought their drone in to take overhead pictures and then gave us a video to post on FB. Our electric bills are non-existent. I like the replacement policy if anything stops working they will replace the panel. They do not sub-contract their work. The whole project is covered if anything goes wrong. I get monthly updates of my production.

Incredible results! Way beyond expectations!

With only 14 panels on an east facing roof, charging an electric car, running a/c all summer, our electric utility bill, totals just $90/YEAR (includes Kool Keeper discount of $20 and mostly LED lights) That's right, $90/YEAR! How can YOU possibly justify NOT installing solar panels? PLEASE DO THIS! We all want clean air.

My original system and installation were stellar... but the system failed to produce the projected amount of power due to lower than rated output from the panels. Intermountain Wind and Solar sent someone to assess the problem and seek a solution. They decided that adding 4 more panels to the system would solve the production issue and have offered to correct the deficiency at their expense. That is great service in any business. After an investment of tens of thousands of dollars, it is such a relief to work with a good company that stands behind their work so my investment will be worthwhile. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking solar power.

Well pleased

I was very pleased when we installed the system with the advice and help, competitive price, installation process. I was more pleased when the inverter had problems about a year latter and Intermountain Wind and Solar was there within a day to fix it. Solar has been great for us and we have paid very little for electricity.

Solar Panels

We are very happy with our solar installation. Intermountain did a great job for us and we would highly recommend them. Overall, our power bill is for only the taxes charged monthly. We have a Nissan Leaf car so we use that around town and the solar pays for the operation of the car. We are very satisfied with installing our solar panels.

I loved working the Intermountain Wind and Solar. They were patient and knowledgeable while I was deciding. After I started the process with them, they walked me through everything and made sure it was all done right. At no point did I feel like they had forgotten about me or that now that the sale was closed they could move on. The installers were professional and quick. After the system was installed the rep I worked with checked back several times. They are a great company.

Satisfied Customer

Have overall been pleased with the service and production. Glad I got system when we did as RMP keeps trying to change our rates and at this point grandfathered in at previous rates. Not sure they will stick. Inter-mountain seems committed to continuing the fight as it greatly affects them. I like the dashboard that allows me the ability to monitor the system and at this point when the monitoring has gone down because of internet communication failure when I reset it, the past production is reported and preserved.

Off-grid Super Performer

My small off-grid solar electric self-installed system needed repairs which were handled professionally and efficiently with excellent equipment and performs without a glitch for five years now. However, I tried to contact IWS for an additional system upgrade last year and could not get them to respond to email or phone requests. I had to go elsewhere. Am I too rural? Am I too small?

Pleased electrical engineer

Installed in November 2014. Very professional installation of all equipment. System of 34 panels sized correctly for our home which faces northwest (not optimum). Monthly bill since installation has never exceeded the administrative fee of about $9.00.Have had zero issues. I enjoy gazing at the pleasing layout and installation of the inverters, switches, wiring, etc. in the garage.

Intermountain Wind & Solar came out and installed my solar panels in one day, did a great job, everything was performed in a clean and professional manner, and they were in and out quickly. I would recommend them to anyone if they are considering getting solar panels.

Very pleased with my IWS solar installation

I'm very pleased with the efficiency and professionalism of this company. No tricks or hidden agenda and they were very straightforward during the entire process. Whatever questions I had they were able to answer. The installation of my solar system took 1 day. The longest part of the process was waiting for the power company to install the net meter on my panel. I would and have recommended IWS for solar. A friend of my mine is currently in queue to get his system installed by IWS.

Davis County Installation

Installation and operation of the solar electric system has been flawless. The Intermountain Wind and Solar team arrived en mass and completed a large installation in a single day. When they left, there was not a trace they had been there except for the equipment installed. Could not be more pleased.

Frustrating Process

I was excited to get panels on my roof, but this had to be one of the most frustrating processes I've ever been through with a contractor. I had them install panels late last year and the entire process was one big headache. I've never dealt with a company with such poor communication. They didn't communicate with me and they didn't seem to communicate with each other. Most of my questions went unanswered and the salesman didn't really know much of anything about solar. I was directed to their sales manager, Justin, several times but wouldn't ever bother to call me back. I'm glad I went solar, but I wish I would have done it with a more professional company.
