Ohio Solar Project

Green Solar Technologies just completed a 17.1 kW solar system on the roof of our 28’ x 64’ pole barn. The barn was built as a part of the solar project on a net-metering agreement with Dayton, Power & Light (DP&L). I also had them install a whole house 22 KW Generac generator, so if the grid goes down, we will not be without power. We did not do a battery storage solution as there are more cost effective alternatives to Lithium Ion Battery storage like H2 generation and storage. Jesse Stevenson, the project manager was instrumental in every step of the way in the success of this project. As with every project, there are many challenges, like weather delays and minor miscommunications, but there wasn’t anything that couldn’t be overcome by the persistence and tenacity of the Green Solar Technologies staff and all the prime and sub contractors involved! Green Solar Rewards

Green Solar Technologies representives were informative, courteous and respectful throughout the decision and installation process. At no time did I feel pressured, I contacted several solar contractors in my decision making process. For me it was the twenty- five year, American products; and their in house financing program. The company being in business since 1984 was also a plus.

Solar on Steel Roof three stories high

Everything works so far, 54 panels at 295 watts. They returned all my calls through the process. It took a while as I have a 3 story house and a steal rough, and live in an area where its hard to get good work done by locals. Green Solar did a good job. They followed up often. Everyone that I met from the installers to the people putting the deal and financing together were very nice. This month I saw a reduction of 80% of my power bill (we use a lot power), and it's been rainy and overcast all month, so I'm optimistic it will pay 100% of my power bill into the future!

Good installers

Our house is 1950s vintage, and there were some electrical challenges. The installers came up with some clever solutions. There was a misunderstanding with the local power company and they did not furnish the solar production meter as planned. The very next day, one of the installers drove for several hours to fix the problem.

This was the best professional crew that install our system. I knew we choose correctly when the county inspector stated that this was the cleanest and most professional installation she had seen. Installation took awhile because of running out of panels...they also need to educate better about switching to solar in a timely manner...had to pay an extra 500 to pge before solar kicked in...overall the service was good

So far everything has gone as planned. John Leonard and his team of installers were great, the equipment is easy with which to deal, and the phone APP is very nice. Now I am waiting for the first monthly bill from Duke Energy Progress to learn, if the system is producing as I was promised. For my part it has been very positive, due to the fact that everything is exactly the same as if we had not had the job done, but we still have the opportunity to save the CO2 emissions and provide for a greener environment.

My family and I are excited to be on solar with no money down!! System works great and the installers were professional and quick. A whole 7.2kW system was installed in a day. Everyone I spoke with during the process of setting things up and getting the panels and inverter installed were courteous and professional. If I had another home, I'd do it all over again.

Great Experience, Wise Investment

The salesman who worked with me was extremely patient in answering all of my questions and concerns. However the project managers I ended up working with were extremely difficult to get information from and attempted to schedule appointments without checking with me. The team that installed the solar panels got the job done in half the time and were very professional. I have already seen the panels affect my electric bill as it has gone from $80 to about $10 and it is winter when there is less sunlight.

Why would you not go Green Solar ???

They were fantastic from start to finish....The contractors we the best. The salesman was knowledgeable and friendly very professional and answered all my questions. The install and permitting was prompt and painless. I used solar in Las Vegas (it was a leased system) we saved substantial amounts; But with Green Solar we bought the system... Now we only have to pay the small net metering fee... Why Would You Not Go GREEN SOLAR???

Love my system

My electricity bills were too high and I wanted to look into other options. After considering several other solar installers, I chose Green Solar Technologies because of the pricing and solid plan for the arrangement of my solar panels. I was exceptionally surprised when the installation was complete in one day without issues. Now, not only am I happy to save a lot of money each month on my electricity bills, but I'm also proud to be reducing my carbon footprint by using renewable energy. I proudly recommends GST as my first choice for solar technology!

Dealt with the salesman named Harold ShieldsA very good salesman but also a very good liar. I was told that my electric bill would decrease greatly, that I would have electricity when others may not and long the sun was shining. Was told that I would get a refund check from the federal government a incentive for getting the s lot system, that was not true. My light bill has not changed that much and now I have alight bill and they are trying to make me pay the company they used to finance my solar which now they expect me to pay over a 1000 dollars a month and I am disable thought things would be better for me but it worst. A night mare. Stay away from them, threatening my credit and a lien on my house. And it gets worse, so much to say about them even call me from his cell phone where it is not recorded.

Not as good as advertised

I was excited to go solar. I was told that if I had an electric bill it $20 would be to much. Well reality set in. My install was completed in late September. My smallest bill so far (it is January) was half my normal bill. I tried and tried to get answers from Green Solar Tech, but I got the runaround the multiple times that I contacted them to see what was going on or if something was wrong. I feel that they got the sale and I was no longer important.

We have very pleased with this product and have had our electricity bill cut considerably. The management is excellent and answers all of your questions professionally.

I can’t say anything bad about my experience, everyone was very helpful and took the time to explain the process. They are very much on top of there stuff, which is why I would recommend GST for your solar needs.

Fast

Green Solar Technologies was very persistent. The first few proposals did not seem to make financial sense. They came up with a new plan that made my loan payments about the same as my electric bill. That made perfect sense to me. We completed all the paperwork in early Nov. and I was concerned that they would not be able to get it installed by the end of the year. But less than 5 weeks later the panels were delivered and installed. I was pleased with their fast and efficient efforts.

Happy to go solar

Our experience has been very good with GST and we are very pleased to go solar. We appreciate the personnel there very much. Justin is our project manager and he is great. The installation team was outstanding. Our sales rep was also very good. We are having some challenges with the local electrical coop that hopefully will be resolved soon. GST has been with us all the way.
