Once these people get your money and you figure out half your panels dont work, good luck getting help. Its been almost a year from the first phone contact to buy a system and its still not complete and no body seems to be attentive. Its NOT cost neutral bc I'm still paying both electric bill and my loan payment for the $36,000 system on my roof. I'M NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Good sales team, otherwise, terrible experience

After a lot of research determining the solar system to install in our home, we settled for a 30kW system with 80 LGNeon2-365, with Enphase microinverters, and 3 Empower 10 batteries for backup. Solar Edge was not the cheapest but competitive among the few that said that could provide such a system. After some negotiation over the contract terms, we signed the agreement on 10.05.2021 with the expectation to have the whole project completed between 120 and 180 days (according to the contract) even though we were assured that almost always they have it finalized within 120 days. After the agreement was signed we were informed that they were sending their local installer (we later learned it was a subcontract). Non satisfied with subcontracting the installation, GreenSolar handed the development of the design and vendor coordination/approval (required for full warranty) to the same contractor. Any time we reached out to the "project manager" for status updates, timelines, we received a response that he needed to check with the installer and once even gave us the installer number to handle directly with their subcontractor. After over 100 days without even a plan having been completed for submission to the township or our utility company, as required in the contract, we notified the company of their contractual breach regarding their "time is of the essence" clause. To our dismay, instead of offering an apology or a plan for resolution, we received an unprofessional response completely avoiding responsibility. Later that day the company Legal Counsel offered to terminate the agreement and provide a full refund. Long story short, we accepted the offer and are yet to receive our downpayment refunded. Would not work or recommend the company to anyone!!!

After a very long and trying installation in 2019, we had a very functioning system. The materials used were of very high quality. Problem began when inverter failed. We notified the company and were promised that they stand behind their warranty. It has now been 2 months that the system has not been operational. Investment into "Solar" NOT paying off. We do not get call backs, burned out inverter not being replaced, no updates on progress of repair / replacement. Our thoughts are that the distance between California and Missouri makes it easy to ignore service commitment. Highly recommend doing business with Solar companies in location near installation site. Lesson hard learned!

Good Sales team - No project plan or actual installers

The sales team is very efficient and worked not only to help fine-tune the equipment and size we were planning for but also very helpful in reviewing their standard contract and making changes to make it work for both parties. After we signed the agreement on 10.05.21 it became is clear that they subcontract their whole process to local installers including PMO, project design, and vendor relations. Is important to note that as of 01.14.22, the company is not accredited with the BBB, holding an F rating. Our planned system included 80 panels LG NEON 2-A6 365W (ground-mounted), 80 Enphase IQ7+ microinverters, 1 Enpower Smart Switch, and 3 Encharge 10 batteries, as well as 3 Enphase Sure Start. We are now at 101 days from the contract and Green Solar has not been able to develop a project plan to submit for approval. Their 'project manager' standard response is that the preliminary project is being discussed/reviewed with Enphase by the local installer who has been dealing directly with the vendor w/o participation of GreenSolar. We've reached out on multiple occasions and were unable to receive an actual project plan or status updates from the company. At this time, I have little to no confidence in the company's ability to deliver the project, let alone to provide after-sales services for the life of the warranty(ies). We recently sent them a formal communication of a material breach of contract and are waiting on a response to cancel/terminate the agreement.

Liars! If I could give them a 0 I would

Never told us everything when we first talked. Thought by what we were telling them we wanted and what they where saying that’s what we were getting no come to find out it wasn’t. The higher management Robbie Hebert is very rude won’t let you get a word in. Talks over you makes you feel like you did something wrong. Pretty much yells at you . Now I been trying to get ahold of my sales guy and Robbie since September because they owe me checks and no one will respond. This is how they do business? I wish I would have never went with them. They are ripping people off and don’t care who they hurt in the process. If you are reading this to think about solar go with someone else stay away from Green Solar!

$57,000 System that has not worked since November last year.

Fair warning. The system works great when working. The last year and half the system has only been working about 15% and the last six months it has not worked at all. We call customer service everyday. No call backs, no acknowledgments, nothing. They have ghost us as if we never purchase a system a system from them.

Broken

Purchased a $38,000 solar system from Green Solar less then 2 years ago. System quit working July 27. Contacted Green Solar about 10 days ago about the problem. They have still not sent anyone out. Their guarantee is not worth spit

1 Star is too much but Zero Stars isn’t an option

I CANNOT, in good conscience, recommend Green Solar Technologies. We have been trying to work with them for OVER 6 MONTHS to make our system functional. They don’t return phone calls, they don’t follow through with what they say they’ll do and Lots of Finger Pointing at Solar Tech for a malfunctioning system. In my opinion, BEWARE- they’re Not reliable, Not dependable and Don’t honor their warranty or contract.

Shady company

Green solar installed my system and i was told a lot of stuff that was not true they tell you what you want to hear to sell a solar system DO NOT BUY A SOLAR SYSTEM OFF OF GREEN SOLAR.

Terrible and unethical company.

I worked in sales for this company for 2-3 years in their N. Hollywood office and I would not recommend working for or doing business w/this company in any way.

Beware of this shady company! LIER and NEVER response!

I have started to look into solar panels in September because of the 26% incentive. I have called GS Homes, aka Green Solar Technologies, in September. I TOLD them specifically that my roof is under case action and can't be replaced, and the power panel might be needed to be upgraded. They came to my house, and the roof inspector called his supervisor and told me that it is okay. He went up and continued to measure my roof. I asked him about the power panel, and he told me it should be fine. I was assigned to a project manager name Connie Batiste. She NEVER returned calls and NEVER provided any updates. On Oct 2, 2020, Connie Batiste and Rachel Herbert sent me the agreement and layout. I HAVE again reminded both about the ROOF and the Power Panel. She LIED and told me it should be good to go and will be submitted into PG&E. No updates from days to weeks to months. After your agreement signed "Good Luck"! Unresponsive from both Rachel/Sales or Connie/Project Manager after the agreement was signed. With concern, I've emails and calls, but it was ignored. On December 2, 2020, two months after the contract was signed, I received a text to cancel my agreement because of the roof's installation cost and new power panel related cost. What a waste of time and scammer. I am running out of time for 26% incentive. Thanks to all these BAD customer service and unresponsive employees. I hope the company's executive is looking into ALL these BAD reviews.

Beware... Green Solar Tech. Is a very shady company, takes months to fix equipment that breaks often... do not use this company.

Deceiving, liars, scammers

If you are looking to install Solar System please do not use this company. In the beginning they contact you non stop and offer you everything they can to prove why you should pick them only to find out that they like deceiving people. They withhold full information and go with the plan convenient for their company. They took from us $29k paid in full only to find out that it doesn’t cover a single electric bill! Over and over we explained what we were looking for with promise that they would deliver. So many countless conversations we had over and over again with no actual resolution. The last manager we talked to claims that she was the last resort and no one is higher than her. Then she expects us to stay calm knowing they took so much money with no resolution and saying good luck to you with our legal dept. many of our customers who end up going that route loose. I will continue to research and find out who is over her and continue to let everyone I know of how awful this company is and hope that no one else ends up feeling like this.

Horrible!!!! Worst company!!!!

They lied about everything!!!! Told me my 23 panels would be enough. I still have to pay over $250 out of my pockets and when I called them they said “oh we have a note in the contract stating 23 panels won’t be enough” I have a copy of that contract and it does not say that!!!! I spoke to Nestor he never said that. The installers said if I wanted to add more panels in the future I am able to do so!!!! They are the worst company ever!!!! I have called them everyday and no one is calling back!!!!

$40000 systems and 3 months doesn’t work

$40,000 system that doesn’t work after three months waiting for a new part finally got it and two months still not installed poor customer service I don’t even get callbacks

Bone Heads

This company is grossly lacking the core competency in providing anything remotely close to “Solar Services”. At the end of the day use a local contractor that knows what the local rules are, how the utility wants things and has the relationships in place to make the project go smoothly and a better price and support. They just find whatever contractor, some has never even done solar, they use the cheapest outfit they can find to fit their project budget and protect their profit margin, and damn the customer service and end product. Overpriced and closing a project before the site assessment is done just doesn’t make sense. I know one person (after the fact for myself) that is going on 1 year now and still no permission to operate, what a joke. I question most of these 5 star reviews, but scan thru the rest that are less than 5 star and I think you start seeing a pattern.

Not good

They say I got a 95-100% efficient system and it doesn't bring my bill much at all if any.

Still waiting for information

Nobody explained me anything about the installation that I have. I had to send 6 emails to get the $1000 rebate. They also told that they will pay for the fee that I had to pay for changing electric company. I don’t know how much Energy I use for self consume and how much I am “selling”. Still waiting for the papers for the tax credit... They even told me that I will get a picture of my roof with the panels... Still waiting....

Misleading, poor service, unprofessional. NEVER recommend GST

Misleading. Our contract states that we should produce over 11,393kwh. Last week, I asked one of their contracted techs how much we have produced and he confirmed that we have only produced just over 13,000kwh in 23 months. We have known there was a problem from the very beginning and here we are, 23 months into this, and still not getting what was promised to us. Poor Service. We do not live in a big city. We live very far from a big city. It is hard to get specialized work in our area. I understand that it is hard BUT if you cannot take care of your customers in rural areas then DO NOT SELL YOUR PRODUCTS/SERVICES IN RURAL AREAS! Not only do they take 2-8 weeks to get someone to come look at our system every time we complain, the job is NEVER finished and our panels are NEVER up and running as promised before the initial installation. Unprofessional. If we really want to take this higher and get GST negatively recognized by the BBB, we are going to have a difficult time. They wrote a contract that clearly states almost nothing can be done to terminate, change, add, remove, etc. unless it is in writing. They arrange everything with us over the phone and never follow up with anything in writing; therefore, no written record. They had someone come remove a part and replace it with another part. We should have received a "change notice" in writing for this but, of course, everything was done over the phone so we have no written record of exactly what was taken and replaced. One of their techs told us how messed up our system was and that GST would probably never fix it. Another tech that they sent out was so frustrated with how unprofessional GST was conducting business that he said this was the very last job he would ever do for them. He said they would not pay him his rate and they were untimely in answering his tech support questions. He was here for over 2 hours and they told him it should take less than an hour. The last tech team that we had out here had to wait 2.5 hours for GST tech support. If I could give these panels back and walk away from GST, I would do it in a heartbeat. If you take a look at the positive reviews for GST, please notice that they are very short. Those were probably written before or shortly after installation when the customer had no clue what just happened. If you look at the complaints, you will see more to the story and realize that GST is not a company you should trust your $31,000 investment with. Real quick, speaking of $31,000, it was paid IN FULL 4 months after installation.

Would never recommend Green Solar to anyone!

I don't have anything good to say for the office staff, very poor service. They made multiple errors and after everything was said and done, I was told they would fix an error they made, I've never heard back from anyone. Technician I had for installation was great thou. He should be running the business side!

Terrible service, roofs leaking from installing solar panels

In the beginning, I thought they would be a good company to install solar panels. Never will I ever refer this company to anyone. They never fixed my leaking roof and sent the worse roof contractor to take care of the problem, which is still not done. He shows up whenever he wants and doesn't do anything and leaves. Its been 2 yrs dealing with this company and my tiles are still stacked up on the roof and still have a tarp that was never removed.

System is producing 50% less than promised

When the salesperson pitched this to me I was assured that it would cover 70-80% of my usage. Now that the system is up it is only capable of producing 40% of my usage based on THEIR OWN assessment of it. I noticed this before the system was 100% complete, contacted them and while they said they were trying to figure out how they were going to fix it they funded the loan (took my money). After weeks of totally ignoring me they finally called and told me that in order to fix their oversight they would sell me more panels. This whole process has been geared at misleading the customer, now I am stuck with a payment that will NEVER be covered by the production of the system even in best summer months. $23,600 for a system that will produce 10-40% at best of my yearly usage. SCAM!

Panels producing a fraction of the energy than promised

Green Solar Technology analyzed our electricity usage and came up with a proposal for roof panels that would produce about 70-80% of our total electricity needs. So far we have had the panels up and running for 2 1/2 months and they are producing about 20% of our total usage. We spent $28,000 on this installation and now have very little to show for it. We are hugely disappointed and feel like the company lied to us to get our business. Such a huge discrepancy is unacceptable. I have reached out to the company to see if there is any kind of mistake or error with installation. If they can rectify the situation, I will update my review.

Don’t do it- stay with a local company

Using an out of state company (Green Solar Technologies) who assured a solar panel system would lower my utility costs and was affordable at the same time due to the local utility company and federal tax rebates, the system was agreed upon. A local sub-contractor eventually installed the system on my roof, but had to make numerous return trips to finish the work. (TOTAL installation time took 5 months from signing the contract to interconnecting with the local power company. My neighbor with a larger system through a LOCAL company went from contract to interconnection in 5 weeks! The after-installation support was an uphill battle as the company is in California and they put the problems of my system on the sub-contractor (THEIR contractor), who dropped the ball by not submitting the rebate registration paperwork to the local power company here in Texas. The system was installed without authorization from the local power company. The sub-contractor was their “guy” so they are ultimately responsible for the situation. The system finally works, but I am out over $3,000.00 in local power system rebate funds.
