I like the system and idea of creating most of the electricity we require day to day. Wish I had a 100% battery back up for loss of power from the utility company. In my opinion the price is high, the cost of this equipment has been going down and the efficieny has increased, I would probably purchase and install the system myself if I was doing it over again.

Mixed Experience

The contractors that installed the system were very professional and did excellent work. The financial sales presentation was the part that did not live up to expectations. I purchased the system with the idea that I could lower my bills in my retirement years. I was informed that my system, that they designed based on my usage data from my electric company, would cover 89% of my electrical usage. After installation and 6 months of usage I have had less than 50% of my electrical needs met by solar. The other issue is that I would get a tax credit that would cover $8000 of the cost. I do not pay $8000 dollars in taxes so I could not take full advantage of that so it became another out-of-pocket expense. I can accept part of the responsibility for not thinking that through. My main issue is the incorrect information about the percentage of my electrical usage that the system would cover. After pursuing this with customer service, I was informed that the system is working as it should and there is nothing else they can do. In my mind this is a lack of integrity to not stand behind the information given to make the purchasing decision.

Josh R. my sales person is fantastic. I knew very little and bombarded him for 4 days with nonstop questions. He even called me on his off -hours to respond. WOW! And respond he did with a plethora of information in terms I understood so the right choice could be made. Justin W. is the project manager for my system install. He pushed the designing, permitting and all paperwork at a blistering pace. before I could blink the system was in a freight truck and on the way. Totally Awesome! For my area Sun Farm Solar is the installer and was spot on everything that happened. From unloading the truck, which was very late. They inspecting each item for damage, and marking it off the packing list to ensure that every item was accounted for. Next day, they (Murphy &Mike), were on it like bees to sugar water. They didn't break stride once. Not even with me hanging around asking questions. Green Solar technologies is the best solar company hands down. They always answer back by phone or text. Heck, they even called just to check in to see how it all was going and if I had any questions. On top of that, they have the best installers any company could ever hope of obtaining. I started out knowing absolutely nothing and ended up knowing every detail about my system! WOW! Now all I need, is a good power wall to supply my homes nightly needs. So why are you still reading this? CALL THEM!...NOW!!

From start to finish, everyone involved in our solar system installation was fantastic! The sales folks were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The local project team kept us informed every step of the way and provided weekly updates to us on the status of our project. The installation team was awesome and completed the installation quickly and professionally. I would (and already have) recommend Green Solar to anyone considering solar. You won't regret it!

Apprehensive

We were hesitant at first but after researching and talking to the Green Solar people we made the decision and are very happy with the results. The installation was smooth and we can't stop going out to the meter to see how much electricity we are producing. The project manager was very thorough and kept in constant contact with me letting me know exactly when things were going to get done.

Professional and quick installation

Installation was quick and professional. All of my questions were answered in an easy to understand manner and the ability to see my daily electric production helps to understand how the weather affects production over time. I would recommend Green Solar for installations. I did not consider any estimated increases in costs of energy from local utilities company because they have been very small since 2010. I had replaced my shingled roof a year earlier, which I would recommend doing first. Make sure shipper sends 2 people to deliver panels etc., otherwise you will have to help unload from delivery truck. This is not the fault of Green Solar. Mine were delivered by FedEx and it was a headache. Common sense should tell anybody that 1800 lbs with bundle of 20 Ft long rails will require more than one person to unload.

Green Solar Saves Greenbacks

I purchased a green solar system last fall to save money and reduce my carbon footprint. The sales representative and installers were all very helpful, friendly and professional. With net metering I haven't paid an electric bill since march. I would not hesitate to recommend Green Solar to anyone that may be interested to making a move towards solar power.

Best decision we could have made

We had looked into solar & got a quote from another company, but were hesitant. Once our PG&E bill started climbing from a once high of $200 to over $500, we were fed-up & got serious about solar. I reached out to Green Solar Technologies & was impressed from the beginning. Everyone we encountered were professional & knowledgeable. Their presentation & financing options were what finally sold us. Everything from the permits to the installation went smoothly. We were especially impressed by the installers. They were very professional & made it look clean. Going solar was the best decision we could have made & it's fun to looks at the app & see how much energy we are producing.

good product

I did not want to deal with getting permits and doing part of the work myself as other solar providers wanted. Green solor got all the permits, checked the site and installed the system as agreed. The installer was excellent he was on time the panels showed up on time and the finished installation looks reat. I can follow the operation of the system on my computer. I expect my tru up bill with PGE to be under $200 for the year.

Austin Electrical / Paul Alcantar

Paul came from Austin Tx. Approx. 5hrs north of our home . We had a time set up but Paul's brand new work truck quit running enroute . Paul called me and asked if he could do it the next day. He showed up early the next morning .Our relationship got off on the right foot. My job had to be completed quickly because we were headed north for the summer . As soon as the panel were delivered,Paul and his helpers showed ready to work . They worked late that night and finished the following day . They cleaned up the area and said goodbye and of to the next job several hours away . Paul has stayed in touch with me . I'm 100% Happy with Austin Electrical and especially with Paul .
