The system is working fine. We had a few problems with the scheduling but overall we are very pleased. The people we interacted with were knowledgeable and helpful. Pleasant to work with.

Full year of Solar

In August of 2022 we had our solar installed by Future Energy. The installation was done in one day and they explained and showed us how our system worked. We downloaded the app so we could see our system working. Many times, we had concerns that our system was not working properly, and we called, and left a message and got a response quickly that they checked our system on their end, and it was working properly. During a couple of power outages during the year our battery backup was able to power our home for the time we needed it. We were thankful on the nights of the outages that we could still have lights and our TV on. Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of power we have not saved much during the cold winter or the hot summer days. When we decided to install solar panels, we looked at what we were spending on energy and figured that with the monthly cost of the solar and the cost of power from SUMD we would only increase our energy cost by $50 on the months we use more energy. Again, due to the rise in cost we are paying more for our energy than we ever imagined and the cost of solar has made it difficult for us most months. We do like the system and having our battery backup when it is needed. We do wonder if we should have had more solar due to the money it is costing us for power. It has been difficult to get through to someone at Future to ask these questions. Hopefully we will be able to get a hold of someone and get more answers.

It Was Time

It was time to replace our roof and we were interested in going solar. We contacted Future Energy Saver, and they sent us Brianna. She is wonderful. She educated us about solar and what to expect and the costs. The advantage of having them do both the roof and solar is there is full warranty on both roof and solar. Brianna stuffed out heads with information, and on what to expect, and the steps to do both. The roofers came and they were efficient and professional. They made every effort to keep things clean. The solar was installed shortly after, it was installed in one day. Once again very professional and nice. They answered all our question, and we had many. We decided on a battery backup system. We now have the Electric Car Charger in the garage. It was an amazing experience, and we are very happy. I highly recommend Future Energy Saver. It is fun to lookup SMUD and see how little we owe and look at the Generac Phone Ap to see how our solar is doing.

Excellent Family owned business

I knew that the right thing to do was to install Solar at my house. Older house built in 1940. Also, wanted battery back up and had researched Generac. I found James Krohn and Future Energy. The sales process was clear and concise but lots of information to absorb. James took me through the details and took all my questions until the decision was made. The install started a little crazy due to Covid. I was completely impressed when the General Manager called to explain the issue. Once the installation team arrived, it was obvious they were professionals. Wade conducted the install with ease. So surprised that they finished in one day without a hitch. Any follow up questions were handled by the General Manager. Great customer service. Since the installation, my PG&E bill has been cut by over 85%. And I don't have to worry about rolling black outs. Future Energy Savers - Recommended Installers

We had been looking at installing Solar over the last few years and finally decided to pull the trigger and go with Future Energy Savers. The sales consultant was very knowledgeable and described the proposed system and a fairly accurate timeline of what it would take from beginning to end. He told us that after we signed and went through the initial steps that there would be a couple of months where it seemed like nothing was happening but that time was used to acquire the equipment and necessary approvals from the city. The installation process was very smooth and quick. The install was clean and very professional looking. There were some issue with the city that did delay the interconnect to our power company but once that was done everything was working as expected. We now get a monthly bill from our power company for about $7.

I started off looking for a solar company. I had contacted four of them. Three of them came out did not have proper quote sheets and did not contact me back or were totally lost at what they were trying to sell …..Brianna from future solar came out and it was so easy so clear, I’ve been waiting to get Solar for a while and after signing the contract that evening and then scheduling installation their crew came out in two days and had it installed …… and it’s been wonderful being able to monitor at any time the usage and the generation of solar, having kids and seeing spikes … And asking why the AC is left on helps a lot…. simple things but the best part is seeing the bill in the negative … Being able, to make a phone call or a text to Brianna or call them at the office … they are so easy to contact .. I wish I would’ve purchased Solar a few years ago. I would be farther ahead of the game. Jeff Snyder

Solar Installation, Service, And Review

Our over our experience with Future Energy Savers was a little slower then we expected. Once we signed the paperwork the installation was done within a week or two. However, after that it took over a month to get us on line with PG&E. Not sure if was PG&E's fault or Future Energy Savers? Ones we finally got our inspection it took another two months to finally get on line to finally start monitoring the system with our phone app. To tell you the truth I have no idea what I'm looking at. Installation was done on 11/10/2022, Final inspection on 12/05/2022. Sense then we were trying to get online contacted Generac but was told we were not registered. Finally got online at end of February after several phone calls to Future Savers. Over all Future Energy Savers has been OK with their service. However, we have recommended them to others despite the slow service.

Great Company

I have spoken with over 15 different Solar Sales people over the past 5 or so years. Until recently, I only wanted to know the numbers of each company because we had not decided how long we would stay in this house. The break even is typically 6-10 years, if you sell your home before that point, (if you purchase your system) you are paying for the next owners electricity, so I wasn't a Buyer. Recently we decided we are staying, 2.5% Mortgage! todays rates are back to normal at 6-7%. I met with Future Energy Salesperson Eitan Gershenson, and had a long talk. By this time I had already learned a lot about Solar and we were discussing the fine details of their program and product. I had not talked about batteries with prior sales folks, and Eitan was very helpful in advising about PG&Es NEM 2.0, and the coming 3.0. I have since reviewed how solar credits will change and I thought I disliked my states Elected officials and the PUC, I have even more disgust now. They are disincentivizing the public from buying Solar. To make sense, you really do need to buy a battery, Eitan and the system designers created a great system of 24 panels and an 18kw battery that is working great. I am on a Time of Use Billing and pay a higher rate from 4-9pm, with the battery I use my own electricity suring the day, and well after 9 pm. My battery powers my home from dusk till about 3 am, and I have to buy PG&E electricty. The Installation crew were VERY professional, and fast. Scott, the crew leader explained everything that we needed to know, and placed the equipment exactly where we wanted it to go. We were able to do an interior garage location for our battery and Inverter, they will be out of the weather and can live a little linger as a result. The quality of installation met my very picky standards, (no conduit is visible on my roof!, and the few pipes on the side of the house were painted by the installers to match the house.) I could have spent less money with another company, I have cost this out with 15 companies. Future Energy has a great track record and I know that they will back up any problems that may occur in the future. No person or Company is perfect, this one comes closer than the other I have researched, I recommend them for your needs.

Future Energy Savers Solar Energy Installation

We are happy with our purchase of a Future Energy Savers solar energy and battery system for our home. Mr. Mike Wright was our consultant. His expertise and knowledge helped guide us in choosing a system for our home. The installation of the system with battery backup went smoothly. The system works fine. During recent power outages in our area the battery system worked flawlessly and the critical circuits we selected operated as designed. Our system was installed in late September 2022. We are looking forward to seeing what the savings will be next summer when there is more daytime light.

Solar Installation Review

We had been looking to go solar for a while and noticed that our neighbor had a new solar system. So we ask them questions about the installation. During the discussion our neighbor mentioned that Future Energy Savers was the company that installed their system. So we decided to call Future Energy Savers and scheduled a meeting for the next day. We had a very informative meeting with Mike Wright discussing our energy use and needs, as well as our options for going solar. Mike was very thorough and answered all our questions. After we decided on installation, we didn't wait long for the work to start. The workers were very professional, friendly and finished the installation sooner than we expected. During the city inspections, every thing went well as the Future Energy Savers representative was prepared for the meeting. Overall, from the beginning, we were given a very detailed description of the full process and what to expect. They provided timelines for the initial inspection, installation start date and approximate date for completion. They also set up the city inspection and let us know approximately how long it would take for the city to grant a permit. In conclusion, we were pleased with the customer care, quickness, work, and overall service. Our system is up and running. All inspections passed, and we are enjoying our solar system. Along with the great service and an outstanding solar system, we find that Future Energy Savers was the best company for our solar installation.

FUTURE ENERGY

As we could not make up our minds as to get solar panels, the contractor lady who came to our door was very efficient at explaining how solar worked and breakdown of all costs and rebates. We decided to go ahead and go for it since the rising cost of pg@e was getting so high. We had a few problems with the system itself at first as did not have the correct breakers to turn on if the power went out. It was eventually resolved and the system was corrected. All in all it was an ok experience. And Generac is one of the top solar brands there is. We are looking forward to seeing our bill and comparing it to last year. Although we thought our tax rebate was coming out of 2022 taxes but th government said we had to carry it over to next year. So now we have to wait for our rebate.

Overall, we had a good experience with Future. We were able to get our panels installed quickly. Prior to installation, everyone was very responsive. After was a different story unfortunately. We did not hear from them for almost 2.5 months after, and we have tried several times to have someone help us set up the app as we were having issues, and we’ve just been sent in circles. But again, overall everyone was very professional and responsive when it came to purchase and installation!

Best Experience - Highly Recommend

There are hundreds of companies to choose from, and we did not feel comfortable with many. Through word-of-mouth, some friends recommended Future Energy. We set an appointment for an estimate and had a representative promptly come out to spend several hours giving us information and answering our questions. Here is why we chose this company: 1) Superior customer service and care 2) Top-quality products 3) Family, long-term business 4) Respectful in and around the home 5) Careful and knowledgeable 6) Patient and friendly 7) They do NOT contract out. 8) They honor the Ambassador Agreement. You may pay more than you would with other companies, but you get what you pay for. Additional bonuses: This company also does roof work. If something happens to your roof during install, they can and will repair it. Also, they did not drill into our tiles or put conduits around. The solar panels are black without grid lines. Aesthetically, the solar looks modernized and nice. *Note: PG&E only pays us back $.09 per kw but charges us $.48 per kw. It is difficult to gauge our savings since we got our solar installed in late fall. Now, PG&E has increased our gas by 40% since last year, as well.

Satisfied Customers!

We had our system installed just a few months ago. We had looked into solar a few different times over the last few years, but just hadn’t made the commitment. We finally decided to go with Future Energy Savers for a couple different reasons. I can’t say enough good things about Briana, the energy consultant that came to our house. She was kind, knowledgeable, and very friendly. She made sure to check into different programs and available discounts in order to get us the best price. She was not pushy at all and explained what size system we needed based on our energy usage and did not try to sell us more than we needed. One thing I really like about this company is that everything is done in-house. There are no subcontractors. So, if you have an issue, you only have one number to call. We have only had our system a few months, but I am really looking forward to seeing the savings in the hot summer months!

Good Design, Customer Service, Level II EV Charger

After meeting with several representatives from several companies, we decided to go with Future Energy Savers, for several reasons. First, we liked the Generac system. Though we ultimately did not get the battery, we like the idea of a system that is ready to upgrade, if that direction makes sense. We also like that the battery which Generac makes can itself be upgraded. We can start small, and add more cells, if we need them, just by plugging them in. And if one cell begins to lose capacity, it doesn't need to be pulled. You can just add on top of it. Future Energy Savers put together a good design for us, which cannot be seen from the street. It is efficient, and looks good. We were treated well, from beginning to end, and when we gave the go-ahead, they were on the job within days, and done by lunch. Now, they crew they sent out to us did make a mistake. The crew was green. But they did correct the error, and we are happy. Here is what happened: Though we had requested that the conduit be run through the attic, it was run across the roof, in the back. When I called to express disappointment, the representative asked for photos so they could better train their employees, expressed regret for the error, said that running conduit across the roof was "not what they do." Then they sent out two men to make it right. They system itself is solid, and it is fun "geeking out" on my energy consumption. They app is useful, though it only seems to work on my iPhone. It has made me far more aware of how and when I use energy, and with the Level II EV Charger they installed, I have been paying a lot more attention to innovations in the car market, in anticipation of my next move to a greener way.

Future Energy Savers customer

The in-home consultant was very knowledgeable about our energy needs. We discussed options and are glad we got the battery backup system. She found us a lender and helped in the application process. All steps in installation, system setup and PG&E permits were explained and monitored through each step. The crew installed the entire system in one day and even painted any exposed wire conduits with the paint I provided. A Future Energy Savers employee met with the city inspector at final sign-off in case the inspector had any concerns. The month after the final inspection our PG&E bill was $9.

Delivered as claimed!

We were very pleased with the process from start to finish. Once approved the installation of our solar was fast and efficient. It is amazing to have a credit with our power company than a huge bill. We are very pleased and would recommend all that Future Energy has to offer.

Great company

I met Future energy at the state fare. The representative was knowledgeable and provided me with an appointment with a sales representative. The Sales rep. Answered all my questions and when i asked for time to think about it, he left his contact and left without a hassle. very low pressure, just how i like it. The installation team was clean, they cleaned up and left the house spotless. After the install, they too time to explain the way the system worked and reiterated the company's policy on standing behind their work. After install, the Administration team was quick to reply to my questions and help me get my interconnection with the power company. I would recommend them for anyone's energy needs.

Took the leap and love it !

Over the years we have had various companies try to sell us their product, but we just couldn't justify the cost, but your company came to sell your product, your sales rep Kate convinced us it would be the best thing for us. The timing was right, our last few bills had been over $500 per month. When we got our last Pge bill, we were so happy! NO PAYMENT DUE is what our bill said. So needless to say, we were very happy!

Excellent from start to finish.

We had several sale pitches, and quotes from other solar companies prior to talking with Future Energy Savers. We always ended up feeling mislead, or not quite getting what we were hoping for. That was until we finally found the right company. It started with the in-home run down with James. He knew the process and product from top to bottom, beginning to end. We had about 1000 "what if" questions while he was at our home, and we had about 1000 more afterward calling him at the office. We asked so many question that we felt annoyed at ourselves! James handled it professionally every time. We finally felt like we were getting the correct product from the right company! The install team was quick, efficient, and professional. We have a very tight and busy schedule, and they were able to accommodate our needs. The install took about a day and a half. Everything looks clean and professional. No eye sores, and I believe gives our home more curb appeal. There was one thing missing during inspection, but the problem was rectified within a day. I would recommend Future Energy Savers to a friend, and I would use them again for future projects.

Best Decision This Year!

I was skeptical that they'd be able to get me approved as other companies had tried unsuccessfully for the last 2.5 years. The financing was seamless and quick. Every step was concise and everyone involved quickly and efficiently played their role. As the time arrived to install the system, the team worked tirelessly in the mid-June heat to produce a beautifully installed masterpiece. My wife's one wish was for there not to be tubes and pipes run all over the outside of our home and they delivered on their promise. I am one happy and satisfied customer!

Finally Caved for Solar, and Happy

Not sure why Future Energy Savers finally convinced me, but their sales pitches appeared more honest and forthright. Once I met for discussions, they answered my questions, walked me through the process and had options which were based on my current needs plus projected increased use since I wanted to finally run my hot tub more often. I was happy with the plan and moved forward. Install was good, and glad they had an expert & experienced supervisor running and monitoring this though, because several of the team were new but the supervisor kept me apprised of all that was going on and trained me on operations. This part was all a good experience. My only issues and an area of opportunity for improvement is the sense of urgency for FES to install and facilitate all the paperwork to actually be up and running with full savings benefit. While they initially talked me through next steps, it seemed like I kept having to inquire on status of each process and I'd hear back timely but was always the same; we haven't gotten to that yet or still working on it. Part of this was also that I asked about additional rebates from PG&E and told yes, FES would help me. Subsequently when asked for help, never heard back from original sales rep and management bounced me around a couple of times and then said no there wasn't any current promotions. So, from install to full electricity savings was almost 3 months. Now though, I'm happy I went solar and confident Future Energy Savers was the right choice!

We attended our local Home and Garden Show in Spring 2022, with the specific intent of finding a company to install solar on our house. There were several solar companies at the home show. We were able to eliminate some of them and were left with three companies we wanted to get more information. Future Energy Savers was one of the companies. One of the three companies we wanted to talk with ended up not giving us much information. The other company was enthusiastic and smooth talking, but many of the different processes were outsourced and it was difficult to get pricing information, as well as how many panels were needed. Everything was done over the phone. Future Energy Savers was very quick to work with us and understand what we wanted. They came to the house to do measurements and show us our options. Within an hour of going through requirements, we had price quotes. It was a very easy and hassle free process from the initial design meeting to the solar installation completion. The permit process was seamless and everything Future Energy Savers included in the work order was delivered. There were no surprises or unexpected additional costs added. I think our driveway and side yard where they set up their work area for the solar installation was cleaner when they were done than when they arrived. I would recommend Future Energy Savers if you are planning on installing solar.

Fast, efficient, and thorough installation

Our experience with Future Energy Savers has been extremely positive! Not only did they call us months before we expected to have our solar installed to tell us they were getting us going, but the team that put together our system was kind, thorough, and most importantly, efficient when installing the panels and system. They worked into the late evening to make sure everything was running smoothly, and corrected any technical difficulties they encountered within the next few months. We felt as though we were in good hands, with knowledgeable, capable workers, and like we were certain that the product we were getting was top-of-the-line. We are so grateful we went through Future Energy Savers for our whole house solar system.

When I was first contacted by Future Energy Savers I met with one of their reps who gave us a very thorough proposal package for our home but the timing wasn't right for us. We had just moved in less than a year and had a child on the way so the cost of solar wasn't in our range. Skip forward a few years and seeing our cost of energy continually increase we decided it was time. We met with James who quoted us a system that was right for our needs. Our goals of having a battery backup, lower energy bills and an EV charger were met. The install process was quick and future energy took care of all the headaches that others I know had to deal with on their own including permits and working with the local utilities. They made sure that the layout for the solar cells were both optimal and esthetically pleasing for the neighborhood. I love the modular battery feature and with the increase in local power outages, there is security in knowing we're independent.
