I've personally had a great experience working on a solar solution with Freedom Solar in Austin, TX. James Govea made the process smooth, clear, and informative. Any and all questions I had were sufficiently answered and I'm now a happy owner of a fantastic solar system for our single family home. Couldn't recommend more! Also, I've read some comments about the solar production of their systems, and while I can only speak for our experience, we had their panels produce immediately (yes, same day), and while we still have overcast days which results in low production, the overall solar production of their panels is stellar.

The best solar companies, SunPower & Freedom Solar!!!!

After seeing the tv ad I decided to checked the internet for hours, just to be sure about the company. Then I reviewed other companies and asked for quotes. The selling point for me was the over 30 years of experience of Sunpower and the outstanding warranty of their product. They referred me to Freedom Solar here in San Antonio and then Tony Contreras called me to arrange a Zoom meeting. What a professional and a great person Tony is! He explained every detail, from current bill, product desing, to installation process, Tony made me felt confident about the decision of making a good investment in solar energy. He guided me through the whole process in a simple but precise way. All of his expectations about the time it will took for the work to be accomplished were met. The solar panels are working great and my electric bill went down by $85 the first month, even with some rainy and cloudy days. SunPower is the product you need and Freedom Solar is the company that can provide you a smooth, professional and pleasant experience. I recently had solar installed on my house through Freedom Solar. Spencer Sobolik was my representative and he was with me through every step. Anytime I had a question, he was spot on with an answer. He explained to me in-depth everything that was going to happen. The installers were very efficient and very clean and I am very pleased with the appearance of the system. I’m also very happy to see me electric meter running backwards. Of note, when I talked with one of my friends who already had solar through another company, he was amazed at the level of service I received and at how much cleaner my system looked than his. I highly recommend Spencer Sobolik and Freedom Solar.

I don't know how to write this in order to not sound like a shill, but this company is unbelievable. Seriously, I've never seen a company that communicates so well, shows ups with a whole fleet of trucks (4 actually) and gets the whole system installed and running in 6 hours. It was like watch time lapse photography it was so fast. And their follow-up was just incredible too- right done to making sure I file to get my tax credits.

Great product, company, people & service

The financial conservative in me: $ electric bill has been cut in half. Matters big time with a pool. (There are a multitude of ways to address energy bill based on each person's economic situation. No $ down is an option but there are a host of payment scenarios.) The environmentalist in me: solar power is a great impact to CO2 emissions savings. Just under 2 months and already 2 tons saved. Satisfied customer! No Surprises or Regrets!

We worked with Jonathan Baldridge, Energy Consultant, and I really liked his approach. He wasn't a pushy sales guy, knows his product/industry well, helped me get a bunch of discounts, and answered every question I had truthfully. This type of sales approach goes a long way with me. He was very considerate of our budget and helped us size the perfect starter system for our home. The system is super nice and not an eyesore at all. I think it looks pretty cool. The install was quick and professional. I'm a EHS professional by trade, so I inspected all of the electrical work and no corners were cut. Our monthly cost is $60 and out electric bill was $11 in October! The monitoring app is a really powerful tool. Overall, I am a very satisfied customer and have and would recommend Freedom and Jonathan to anyone who has interest!

Logan Dunne was my rep and he was so detailed in the material, cost, installation etc. Communication was excellent and response time to any questions I had was minimal to none best communication I’ve had from a business. We had a solar system installed (Envirosolar..bad) and it was never working and sending in information to Oncor or TXU. After 2 years and some searching I contacted Freedom Solar and Stefan was right on getting us set up for service. Within the week, Nick came out from the Dallas office. He went through our entire system and identified the issues. Fixed them on the spot. Had to order a new inverter (the old one was installed wrong) and the day after getting the new inverter, he was out here (1 1/2 hours from Dallas) by 8:00 and had the thing up and running for the first time in 2 years. He is incredibly knowable, polite, quick and was concerned about us the customer. I will always recommend Freedom Solar Service Dept. regardless of who installed your unit. Thank you Stefan and Nick!

I can haz all the solar

Working with Zach Stirling and the rest of the crew at Freedom Solar made the entire process of swapping over to solar extremely streamlined, even with the complications that arose from the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic. Sunpower solar is undoubtedly a pricier option than some others that are available, but for the price you get unparalleled service and a team of people willing to help and answer any questions at every step. Additionally, they were able to work with me on the financing of the system in a way that made sense for my situation. 5/7 with rice, would do again.

Old House=Green House

We recently had a system installed by Freedom Solar Power on our old home. We have been making the upgrades to improve our energy consumption but wanted to go all the way with solar panels. Our Energy Consultant Robert Bradshaw was great during the entire process. He help us come up with the best layout and provided multiple options to fit our lifestyle and budget. We love our new panels and we are constantly finding ourselves looking at the Sunpower App to see what our house is generating. Freedom Solar Power was very helpful during the installation and setup phase. During the installation process Robert Bradshaw contacted us multiple times to see if there was anything we needed or if we had any questions about the process. Both Freedom Solar Power and Robert have been great to work with during this process. They have helped us take our Old House to a Green House!

What a great experience!

What a pleasure to work with professionals that say they are serious about doing a good job, and then show up on time, do a great job, looks right, even aesthetically, and then the product works, even the app (I can track my usage as well as my production by the hour, so I can get a relationship between daily activities, various appliances gluttony, etc. efficiencies). Thank you for your efforts. BTW: I chose Freedom Solar/Sunpower panels because I had a pyramidal roof that didn't allow for many panels, so I went with the higher efficiency Sunpower panels. They also seem to reduce the attic temperature as well (I didn't quantify it with thermocuples). Best wishes.

This review is about a year and a half late. I want to apologize to James Govea | Solar Energy Consultant for not doing this sooner. You know how crazy life can get. First I want to thank James for his patience with me on my adventure of wanting to know more then the average customer wanting solar. I started my research back in 2017 and spoke to 10 different vendors. After a while, I became a salesmen advising salesmen and sale women about solar panel, invert-er, and installation and warranty. In the end, I believe I chose the right company in providing me with the best solar panels and installation and warranty. It took all of 2 days to do the front to end install. I am very please with the outcome and the savings I'm see. Would have no problem recommending this company and James for your solar install. P.S. James, so sorry it took so long to write this review for you. Thinking about them Tesla batteries.

Working with Robert Bradshaw made my transition to solar almost painless. He took care of all the details, huge help. But the best part of the switch is watching my electric bill dwindle monthly. When my bill dropped from $265. to $19., I was delighted with my decision to go solar.

Best solar systems and best teams and logistics.

All the various members of the SunPower organization demonstrated good will and timely communications to complete the solar system installation on my home. From James Govea the sales guy to various on the roof team members to the electrical contractors and supervisiors all were pleasant, eager and responsive to questions. I did review various solar panels, system components, warranties, financial partners, etc. before going with Freedom. In the end the organization and experience will continue to pay off if the system needs repair in the future. I believe this kind of support both on the front end of a project and follow up to the long term pays off for their customer.

Going solar...finally

Extremely Professional

This is an awesome and very professional company from start to finish. I had considered other companies but went with Freedom Solar because of the professional, detailed and impressive presentation by Tony Contreras who is a great guy. In fact, I now consider him a friend. I also got the highest efficiency panels (22%) which is the highest in the industry and the only manufacture that makes them! I extremely happy with Freedom Solar. I highly recommend them!!!
