Great company to work with and exceptionally professional.

The total job took quite sometime to get scheduled and completed but Freedom Solar was great about the entire process and I never had to lift a finger to get things done, maybe too easy. John Simon was by far the best person I dealt with on a regular basis and was always available if I had issues, questions, or concerns. So far they have done an excellent job with pairing me with the right solution. I would and have highly recommended them and couldn't say better things about them.

Freedom Solar sets higher standards

My wife and I had been researching solar power options for our home since we moved in a year ago. We took our time, fielded best options as far as price point, efficiency, and reliability were concerned. After speaking with several companies/installers, we found Freedom Solar Power and had no doubts that these folks were professionals in the trade. From the sales team to financing, surveying, engineering, installing, and all the way through to after-installation support, any and all questions or concerns we may have had were addressed promptly and accurately. Their entire team was genuinely vested in our interests and confidently stood behind their products and services. Bonus: Several months later, I am absolutely amazed at how pinpoint accurate their solar consumption and usage rate estimates were for my home! I would absolutely recommend Freedom Solar Power to any of my friends, relatives, or neighbors, and if we ever relocate within Texas, we are going back to Freedom Solar for our solar needs.

My Freedom Solar experience

I rarely find reason to give someone a top rating. Normally for a competent job I would rate 3.5 out of 5, maybe 4 out of 5. But with Jonathan Preece I was comfortable and he had extensive knowledge about his product and was able to field any question we had. I interviewed 4 solar power representatives before deciding on Freedom Solar. In retrospect it was the other companies lack of preparation and professional manner that tilted the scale. That and the fact that Freedom Solar panels are produced in the USA. The installation team was quick and the product looks great. You have a good product and great people. You may be tempted by global manufacturing costs but keep your manufacturing in the USA, it matters to us.

Professional from start to finish

After meeting with Federico, we emailed the references he sent. All of them had glowing reviews, so we had no reservations in selecting Freedom Solar Power for our solar installation. From the sales proposal explaining what would be installed to the installation and activation, everything was managed professionally. All the communication was timely and set our expectations correctly for the upcoming steps. Freedom Solar Power handled everything from start to finish. We just needed to sign the appropriate documents. Our panels are now generating power and we can't stop ourselves from watching the graphs every day.

Excellent Solar Installation Company

I recently had Freedom Solar install a 4.6 Kw solar photovoltaic system on the roof of my house and I was pleasantly surprised by smoothly every thing went. I first spoke with Zach Stirling on May 20 and the system was commissioned and producing power on August 24. Zach initially put together a phone/ web based consultation. Zach was able to answer all my questions about cost, reliability, return on investment and the installation process in a very professional manner. In speaking with other solar installer salespeople I found them not at all straight forward about financial issues or knowledgeable about their product. Zach even arranged for me to speak with a Sunpower representative about some technical issues concerning efficiency of the panel in various weather conditions. After going back and forth a little on the proposal and financing options, the project was handed off the Mike Peck, project manager and Ben Flynn, project coordinator on June 17. The panels were installed July 25 and meters hooked up and commissioned by the local power company on August 24. Since then over 60% of the electric we have used has been produced by solar energy. Freedom Solar did their job very well. Something that is, unfortunately, increasingly rare these days.

I called Freedom Solar Power when I began my quest to go solar. After meeting with them, I felt very confident that they had the best product and knew what they were talking about. My sales associate, Nathan, was very easy to talk to and took the extra time to answer my hundreds of questions. This was a big purchase for me and I appreciated the support that I received from not only the sales team, but the also the operations team. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking solar.

Great service, painless process.

We have been thinking about solar for a while now and I researched various companies before talking to a couple. Freedom Solar was the clear choice. Federico Pigorini and his team took me through the process step by step, they checked constantly to see if I had any questions and the installation was done swiftly with no problems. Great overall.

Read this before you sign the contract

Everything seemed fine through the install. Delay getting system turned on- i was lied to regarding permit delays that didn't exist. System went live May 2016. Power surge went through my house July 25, 2016. @ weeks for CPS to fix the meter then 1 week for Freedom to check for damages. I was told that warranty was denied by solar edge and fault code was for 2 inverters that had surge damage. I called Solar Edge myself- 1.5 hour wait on the phone Sep 02, 2016. I was told that the error was for a ground fault due to improper installation and that no warranty had ever been filed. They are not a reputable company. Hopefully others will read this and avoid them. In hindsight, I wouldn't install solar again- I don't need the extra headaches.

I purchased a 9.27 KW Sun Power solar system that I am very happy with. The system is performing as advertised. The sales and installation process were fantastic. I am extremely happy with my purchase. However, the service after the sale was not good. My electric bills have been on average -$10. I currently have a credit with Austin Electric. My system has been running since late December. I spent almost a decade in industrial and commercial sales. I was a manufacturers representative for steam and hydronic systems. I specialized in Steam Boilers and steam systems. I also specialized in hydronic systems and pumps. So, I have quite a bit of experience in construction and sales. I left the industry in 2007, to pursue other passions. I mention my background because I feel it is relevant to my experience with Freedom Solar. My Salesmen's name was Robert Bradshaw. He did a fantastic job on earning my sale. I really dug into the technical details and asked a lot of questions. I pitted Robert against another salesman from one of their competitors. I even showed each salesman the other's bid. Robert was helpful, informative, gracious and handled my sale like a real pro. I was a very difficult customer and I know it. I can not say enough about his service in gaining my sale. However, once all the paperwork was signed, and the permitting was finished and I was handed off to the installation team, his service really dropped off. I had a really difficult time getting answers after the sale was closed. It took more than a week and multiple emails to get answers. I realize he has many customers and earns a living from commissions, but given how well he handled my sale, I was extremely disappointed in his service after the sale. When I would email Robert, he tended to give me a stock answer rather than looking into my particular sale and finding the answer I was looking for. In particular, I had issues getting my Friends and Family rebate from Sun Power. Robert assured me he had taken care of the paperwork on February 23rd, when in fact he did not turn in the paperwork until April. I have had issues with my solar System's reporting features that I have asked about on 3 separate occasions. They have never addressed the issue it has been 9 months since I brought up the issue and it has not been resolved. i have tried to contact 4 different people at freedom and no one has returned an email. The issue is minor and does not affect the system's performance. I am very happy with my purchase and their installation team, but I am extremely disappointed in the service I received after the sale. I was going to include this in my closing survey rather than go to social media, but Robert took the survey away from my wife as she was filling out ofter she was only able to answer 2 questions. Once, I signed the last check, i was completely ignored. I recommend Freedom highly, their system is outstanding I feel like any big issues were addressed in a timely fashion. However, Their service after installation in dealing with minor issues has been terrible. Do not sign the last check until your system is !00%.

Very professional company!

It was a pleasure working with JD from Freedom Solar. He took his time to explain the benefits of going solar and how the entire process would be. The experience with the installers and the project managers was equally impressive. We are very satisfied with the SunPower panels and with Freedom Solar.

10.2 kw install

I am extremely satisfied with the quality workmanship and professionalism that I experienced from start to finish in working with Freedom solar in designing and implementing our solar system. We have had the system producing power for 3 1/2 months now and have yet to pay an electric bill. I wish I would have looked into getting solar sooner.

Freedom Solar Power - The BEST

After several back and forth iterations, Freedom's architects delivered a solar array design that absolutely met our needs for performance and cost. They mentored us through the finance options, rebate and inspection process, and managed a smooth and efficient installation. And we couldn't be happier with both the appearance and the production! I am very pleased with the product and process of solar panel installation of Freedom Solar. I went with Freedom Solar because of positive feedback I had received from a couple of sources. Furthermore, the solar panels they use are aesthetically more appealing than others in the market. The sales rep, Federico, provided a thorough overview and was able to answer all questions I had and was available to provide timely responses throughout the process. The installation team worked with me to honor the design agreed upon even though it added additional resources. The process was lengthy mainly because of the large number of people taking advantage of rebates; however, the project management team kept me posted as to where we were according to the schedule.

Great Solar Product

JD Sorrentino was extremely professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of the 12.2 kw solar system installed on our home. The installation crew was prompt, professional, and very courteous throughout the duration of the process. Also, he thoroughly explained the cost, functionality, and expected savings of the equipment well before hand. All of which proved to be accurate. Our experience with Freedom Solar has been exceptional. This products performance has exceeded my expectations, and I regard this investment as one of the best I have made in years.

Happy with Texas Sunshine

Freedom Solar Power installed a solar panel system on the roof of our home in the country. We were very pleased with all aspects of the installation process, including all the people working for FSP of Austin, starting with consultant, J. D. Sorrentino. We had a list of questions every time we spoke with him, and he always answered each question where we could understand what was going on. All members of the installation team were very courteous, intelligent, and respectful of our property. They didn't squander their time but if we had questions, they took the time to answer our questions. We are very pleased with Freedom solar Power and would recommend them to anyone wanting solar energy.

Best Product, Best Installer

Freedom did a great job designing and installing my SunPower solar system. The sales agent JD was top-notch and the crew they sent to my house to confirm the design and install the system were very professional. They handled all the paperwork with my utility and got me up and running as quickly as the city-owned utility would allow. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking to go solar. I've had a credit on my utility bill for the last 4 months and that feels great!

Attentive Service

I was very pleased with Freedom Solar's installation and service. They always let me know where we were on the project. In addition, the sales people were very helpful in explaining the rebates and how to get the maximum value for my project. The panels work beautifully, and we're saving so much money on electricity now. Our last bill was $4.00! And that's only because we also use natural gas. We are really glad we chose Freedom Solar for our solar panel project.
