Freedom Solar Review

Robert Bradshaw is our salesman. He has been very thorough and honest in his initial sales call and follow up. I am enjoying looking at the production/usage data and graphs on the internet.

Freedom Solar installation in Medina County

Everything was fantastic from the start. There was one complication with the trenching, but Freedom Solar fixed the issues without hesitation.

Integrity and professionalism with Freedom Solar

I decided to look into solar power for my Austin home and a friend recommended I contact Robert Bradshaw at Freedom Solar Power. Robert was very professional and informative. Unfortunately my roof was not good for solar but Robert took the time to walk me though why and answer all my questions anyway. I don't normally write reviews but I had a good experience and basically wanted to recommend anyone looking into Solar reach out to Robert at Freedom Solar Power. The bottom line is that Freedom Solar is honest and sells SunPower - the best panels in the industry.

JD Sorrentino

We were referred to our great sales lead, JD, from my brother - who shops, compares and prices EVERYTHING so we knew if it was good enough for his family then it was a true value. It's just been a few short years since my brother has had their solar installed and Freedom Solar's technology has continued to improve year over year. Even when there was so much initial information to learn, JD stayed patient and had excellent customer service, quick response time and consistent follow up.

Residentail home solar system

So happy with Freedom Solar. Even if a mistake is made, they are right there to fix it. Everyone I have dealt with has been professional and easy to deal with. Highly recommend Freedom Solar.

Outstanding Company Character

I was unable to get solar on my home due to the shade cast by a large oak in our yard just south of the home. Although it was easy for the guys at Freedom Solar to tell my roof was not viable for solar they still took the time in what I can only imagine is a busy scheudle to educate me on solar. One of their consultants, Craig, even came to my home to climb on the roof and take shade photos to verify I lacked a significant solar window to produce power. I felt compelled to write a review because I had also contacted two other solar companies, who after looking at my roof on their computer simply hung up the phone. The fact that Freedom Solar took so much time to explain everything in detail even though they knew I would not be a customer speaks volumes of the company's character. If they provide this level of service to someone in my situation I can only imagine how well they perform for those who are actually installing a system. I would tell anyone who is thinking about solar in central Texas to call Freedom Solar.

NorthEastCrossing

We are very happy with the final process and the communications along! Thank you Freedom Solar Power, Bret, Robert, Michael, Shannon and everyone to make this job is well done!

A+ Service

The service provided by the Freedom Solar team and my consultant Craig was outstanding. I am admittedly very particular by nature and often change my mind about things at the last minute. Although I often had the Freedom team tweaking my system from the number of panels to the addition of a Tesla PowerWall to the fact that I wanted to be home during the install; they accommodated my every wish and scheduling request and I couldn't be any more pleased with the results. We have had our system on for 3 months now and each month it has produced even more kWh's than was estimated; our utility bill was $0 and we've even stocked up some credits. We would certainly recommend Freedom Solar Power to everyone.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! BEST SOLAR PANELS ON THE MARKET!!!

Wish everything was this easy.

Most high praise to the people of Freedom Solar!!! You make excellence look easy. Had a REAL bad experience last go round with a contractor and their horde of subs. Had to manage that project myself, everyday. It was torture. So, we shopped, researched, interviewed, shopped, interviewed, researched, and prayed this time. In the end, we made the decision to go with the company and product we felt could provide the best system, service and guaranty on this long-term asset/investment - sweet, sweet SOLAR POWER. Freedom, you do not disappoint. Mind BLOWN - expectations SHATTERED. No subs. No scrubs. No bullshit. Best experience with a contractor - EVER, and that's high praise since Cornell Garage Doors is also totally awesome, but garage doors don't make electricity, so... Anyway, Freedom - we left this morning for work, and you were completely done by sunset. Installing our entire system in one day. ONE DAY. What!? You lived up to every review I read, and I read them all: Yelp, Google, Angie's List, Facebook, etc.. Now, I will add to them. Thanks for energizing our home, and renewing my faith in humanity (especially construction contractors). Some companies still do GREAT work - Freeeeeeeedooooooooooommmm! Now, People of Earth, go solar.

The best !

Freedom Solar has the best and most comprehensive customer service to go along with top-notch design and installation of the world's most efficient panels: Sunpower. That about covers it !Ã¥

Nathan Day is awesome and honest

Nathan was awesome because he helped us get solar panels and reduce our bill. We referred our parents but he was honest and didn't over sell his product to them. They are greatful and so are we.

Awesome

Great team from start to finish. Everything was done in a timely manner & with no intrusion. Everything working as it should be & should i ever move house I would have no doubt about using these guys again!

Proud to have this system!

We recently got a 16 panel system from Freedom Solar. The PV cells are SunPower brand, which were used on the Solar Impulse 2 airplane that recently circumnavigated the Earth solely on solar power. The system is performing very well. Freedom Solar staff were professional and nice to do business with.

Outstanding service

From the initial phone call that I made to Nathan till the switch was turned on I have experienced nothing less than the upmost character of professionalism amd proper customer service of making my family amd I feel that we were the points of the best customer satisfaction to be delivered. Nathan even came back and visited my home to ensure their weren't any issues related. Highly satisfied and impressed!

The Best Hands Down!!

Nathan our sales rep was a dream. It was not pushy, and he was extremely knowledgeable. He was upfront about the process and we felt taking care of from the beginning to completion. The end result was seamless. We recommend this company. They were extremely professional and the loan process was also very easy. There is no other company you should go to... Don't waste your time with some cut rate company that promises the world.

Excellent Service!

From day 1 till the task was Complete, the customer service provided was excellent. My contacts were JD Sorrentino and Benn Flynn. There were really good in coordination and keeping me up to date on the progress.

6.9kW front yard DIY ground mount in Travis Heights

Freedom Solar provided guidance, and applied for and got the construction permit for this DIY project. Also, FS provided electrical hardware and electricians for connection of the inverter to the solar array and to the electric service entrance at the house. After testing the system, FS staff scheduled the inspections, all of which passed on the 1st try!

Smooth, Excellent, Transparent Process Getting 6700 Watts

I spoke to numerous solar brokers and dealers around the Austin area and made the decision to move forward with Freedom Solar. I did this due to the professionalism, presentation, and overall knowledge. Every person I interfaced with from Freedom Solar from sales, project management, installation, and all others i haven't mentioned, were knowledgeable, courteous, and very professional. The overall process was very smooth with expectations set accordingly. In the end, I am extremely happy with everything. The added monitoring has really allowed me to hone in on the major power consumers in my household (AC, electric appliances, etc) and ensure their use is minimized when not needed.

18.5k system

I have never given 5 stars in any rating I've done. 5 stars means that you cannot improve... But, these guys earned it. I did my research and Freedom Solar was the last of 3 companies to come to our place to inspect the barn where the panels would be located. This was not your usual installation. 65 panels total for 18,625 watts. I did my homework.... Robert (Solar Bob) with spent quite a while with me on the phone and answered every question I had. Reagan came out for the site inspection... I have to say that the man was very thorough and he probably sold me on Freedom Solar. When Will and the crew arrived they were great and really worked hard. You could tell that they believed in what they were doing and enjoyed their job. There were a couple of hiccups to work through and Micheal and Travis got everything figured out. We are very pleased!

Great company to work with and exceptionally professional.

The total job took quite sometime to get scheduled and completed but Freedom Solar was great about the entire process and I never had to lift a finger to get things done, maybe too easy. John Simon was by far the best person I dealt with on a regular basis and was always available if I had issues, questions, or concerns. So far they have done an excellent job with pairing me with the right solution. I would and have highly recommended them and couldn't say better things about them.

Freedom Solar sets higher standards

My wife and I had been researching solar power options for our home since we moved in a year ago. We took our time, fielded best options as far as price point, efficiency, and reliability were concerned. After speaking with several companies/installers, we found Freedom Solar Power and had no doubts that these folks were professionals in the trade. From the sales team to financing, surveying, engineering, installing, and all the way through to after-installation support, any and all questions or concerns we may have had were addressed promptly and accurately. Their entire team was genuinely vested in our interests and confidently stood behind their products and services. Bonus: Several months later, I am absolutely amazed at how pinpoint accurate their solar consumption and usage rate estimates were for my home! I would absolutely recommend Freedom Solar Power to any of my friends, relatives, or neighbors, and if we ever relocate within Texas, we are going back to Freedom Solar for our solar needs.

My Freedom Solar experience

I rarely find reason to give someone a top rating. Normally for a competent job I would rate 3.5 out of 5, maybe 4 out of 5. But with Jonathan Preece I was comfortable and he had extensive knowledge about his product and was able to field any question we had. I interviewed 4 solar power representatives before deciding on Freedom Solar. In retrospect it was the other companies lack of preparation and professional manner that tilted the scale. That and the fact that Freedom Solar panels are produced in the USA. The installation team was quick and the product looks great. You have a good product and great people. You may be tempted by global manufacturing costs but keep your manufacturing in the USA, it matters to us.
