I interacted with several folks at Freedom Solar in the last year as we've built our house and had panels installed. Everyone at Freedom Solar has been amazing, especially Federico, Ben, and Vicki. You can tell that they are true professionals who enjoy the work that they do. By far one of the best purchases we've made, and the best part is the lifetime of benefits that we'll have. Super happy with our panels and the team that helped us make it happen!!

Top Notch Product/Service/Install/Warranty

Amazing from start to finish! Originally I had never thought of getting solar panels because electricity in San Antonio was relatively cheap compared to where I lived previously. That in combination with the energy efficiency of my home made me wonder why I even needed solar. After being solicited by one company I decided to do my research. The one company that stuck out to me was Freedom Solar. I kept seeing 5 star reviews everywhere I looked. Couldn’t find a single bad review so I decided to get a quote for a system that would produce an equal amount of power of a company that was soliciting. Surprisingly Freedom Solar had a far superior product with a superior warranty for a few hundred dollars less. The first meeting was purely an estimated quote with no pressure to sign any paperwork. This was vastly different from other companies that immediately try to pressure you into signing on the line. The second meeting was a survey of the roof to get exact information documented to make sure everything was 100% before signing for the purchase. Next was the long wait while all the documentation etc. was being done for my solar system but the time flew by due to being kept aware of every step. When installation day finally arrived the crew showed up early. The team was very courteous and got to work right away. You can tell they take pride in what they do. They took their time to make sure everything was done properly. Once the system was installed they showed me the system in its entirety. I was amazed at how they even hid the conduit on my attic because it was extremely hard for me to even see. After the system was installed Freedom Solar coordinated with CPS to get my system online the very next business day. Since the system has been installed I couldn’t happier. The system is producing enough energy to cut my summer electric bills down almost nothing and allows me to track my production and usage close to real time. Overall I am very happy with my system. It looks great especially with the added care the install team took and it is operating extremely well. I would recommend Freedom Solar to anyone looking to get solar.

Residential Solar Power Installation by Sunpower by Freedom Sola

5 stars to the sales team (Jonathan Preece & team) for clearly communicating everything from the point of estimation of my solar power needs (based on my annual electricity usage) to the point of hand-off to the installation team. This includes approvals from city, HoA, electricity company, etc. 5 stars to the installation team (Ben Flynn & Co.) for working with us on an installation date, communicating changes if any (due to weather, etc.), explaining the things that we need to do post-installation, dos and don'ts, etc. Post-sales follow up has been great as well. Great experience

Worked with Federico Pigorini to get my new 15 panel system up and running. Great experience working with Freedom and their entire team. From start to close it took about 3-4 months with all the Austin Energy inspections that were needed but we always knew where we were in the process and are more than happy. A very turnkey operation from start to finish including the financing, rebates, and tax credits. The SunPower X21 black on black panels are looking beautiful and producing! Perfect execution!

Fantastic job done by Freedom Solar

Freedom Solar was great to work with from the start. Our sales rep John was professional and approachable and had prepared the best presentation of any of the 5 companies we spoke with. He was very open about numbers and details and allowed time to research and interview competitors without the pressure that some sales folks will bring. We felt that what we read and heard about Freedom was better than competing installers and their products (SunPower) were better too. After we decided on Freedom, the handoff to the design and implementation team was handled smoothly and communications were very good. We always had clear expectations for what was happening next and a responsive person to handle any questions. They did a very professional install and took care of small cosmetic things without having to be asked like painting the electrical conduit runs so that it blended in with our house color. Our schedule had a delay getting the system inspected and turned on but this was due to Austin Energy and not Freedom. Overall we are very pleased with working with Freedom Solar - great company and people.

What a great experience working with a group of people who work as a team. Smooth as SWISS movements. I wish my recent roofer would have been 20% as good. On time. Good feedback. Nothing hidden. Didn’t have to pull teeth to get info. No surprises.

Wholeheartedly recommend!

When we were looking to get solar, the two main things that stood out were: 1. Installers lie about what their system can produce - except Freedom Solar. 2. We knew more about the subject of solar panels than salespeople in the business - except Dion. Dion was extremely knowledgeable, showed us credible resources and in our first meeting, explained how Freedom Solar comes up with estimates. He sent the technician, Christian, the very next day to inspect our roof. Only then did he give us estimates - and here are the actual vs estimate values over the three months that we have owned the panels. Let me also add that this, despite the shockingly cloudy days of December… Oct (half month) 557 actual vs 430 estimate Nov 616 actual vs 655 estimate Dec 457 actual vs 596 estimate Jan (half month) 320 actual vs 340 estimate Everyone from Freedom Solar is extremely professional, helpful and prompt. From answering questions to installing the panels, and from working with CPS to get everything lined up to walking us through the monitoring app - everything was a breeze. SunPower panels are simply fantastic. That they make our house look nicer is just an additional perk. We wholeheartedly recommend Freedom Solar and Dion.

Small Residential Solar Installation

I consulted a number of companies before choosing the Freedom/Sunpower combination. This involved a lot of homework and a lot of questions, which the staff at Freedom fielded competently and professionally. After an initial consultation with a sales representative, I was able to talk to tech experts with in-depth questions about panel output, monitoring, and IT. The company was also helpful with navigating the CPS and municipal approval process, which would be a little Byzantine if the customer didn't have a roadmap and guide.

Awesome solar installer and panels

They are an amazing solar installer. I chose them for their SunPower black panels since they were going to be installed on the front of my house. They''re functioning amazingly, and look great. They also nailed the installation, permitting, inspection, and meter install. They work with the City of Austin well. I went from final install to generating power in under 2 weeks. I mention this because a co-worker went with an out of state installer(they make electric cars). He started the process months before me, and now 3 months after I''ve gone live, he is still waiting on them to work with Austin to approve the meter. Highly recommend using Freedom solar

Most efficient SunPower Panels

Freedom solar carries the most efficient and reliable solar panels on the market. I did my research and found that most solar panel provider don't offer a 25 year warranty on power productivity and product. If they do offer it, it's offered by a third party company that doesn't have no more the 10 years in existence. The warranty is a good as the the life of the company and SunPower has been around since 1985, you do the math. On the efficientcy level it surpasses anything on the market today. 95% the first 5yrs. And drops only .4% /yr. by the end of the 25% yrs it will be around 87%, where as other would be more like 80% or less. I feel I invested into something I can rely on. I hope this can help those that are still searching like did.

Rob and his team were not only some of the most professional individuals that I have ever dealt with, but they kept you informed with EVERYTHING that happened along the way. There wasn't a time that I was questioning where were at in the entire process and they were able to get my system installed ahead of time. The installers were impeccable, professional, courteous, and had a great attention to detail. Everything was done to spec and they left absolutely no mess behind. Then Rob followed back up to let me know what to expect and answer any final questions. I was so nervous about going with solar since there are SO many providers out there, but Freedom Solar and Rob were HANDS DOWN the very best in the business!!!!!

Quality Service

I have been working with Freedom and Craig for over a year now. Through my own indecisiveness and then later the lack of an ONCOR rebate, Craig and his team have worked with me to provide not only the system that I ultimately chose but also at a value equal to the original proposal before the rebate was diminished. I never felt rushed nor unimportant during the entire process despite the length of time it took me to move forward. I highly recommend Freedom Solar.

You have to love it

Although this solar project took a long time to complete, I am so glad we did this. I was in the construction business for years and I have to say this project was a little drawn out but the people from Freedom kept me informed each step of the way. I just got my first month electric bill and it was -12.91. The people involved from the salesman thru the installers did a great job and answered all my questions. Thanks all

We received excellent service from the Sales Representative to the team that installed the system. The work was handled quickly and the service was installed in one day. The installation crew made sure that all materials were removed cleaned up the ground area once the work was completed.
