Freedom Forever

Overall very good experience.

However, one thing, still waiting for final inspections, but I did have a coleman spa in the back and ever since they installed the solar, the breaker keeps blowing. I moved it to another outlet, but that outlet is inside the house so I have to use an extension cord. Would like to get that part fixed. Other than that they did a great job.

Awesome customer service experience with the agent. Very professional. Would surely recommend freedom forever to friends and family members.

Great experience

My experience with freedom forever has been a positive one. The whole process with them was handled swiftly and professionally at every level. I have nothing but good things to say about this company and would definitely recommend them.

Installation

They were right on time. Did an excellent job left everything clean ready for inspection.

Better late than never

Our system was down for months and we could not get anyone form Solar Edge to respond, let alone come out and repair. We had to take time off work to hound them until, finally, after actually months, someone came and let us know the optimizers were all down. Then it took another 2 months to receive the parts and required me to contact customer service every week to check on the parts and then get schedule. They have now since been replaced and the system is working. But I would not recommend this company.

ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES, Stay away

I deeply regret going solar with Freedom Forever. The sales team promised one thing, but the company delivered something entirely different—and claimed they were “fulfilling their promise,” which is completely false. The system they installed barely benefits me and has become a financial burden, eating into my home’s equity and making it extremely difficult to sell. The installation team was negligent, installing the system incorrectly. It took months to correct their mistakes, and throughout the process, the company made no effort to act in good faith or offer any restitution. This has been one of the biggest regrets of my life. I would strongly advise anyone considering solar to avoid Freedom Forever. I would rate negative stars if I could.

Very good communication and listener, most of all each questionnaire to him was answered or researched. He was very helpful in notifying me of a system fault that is currently going on for 4 months... he created a ticket without hesitation and submitted it to the Monitoring Team... Shame on the MONITORING TEAM. Thank you Jude, it is folks like you who carries the light of humanity within you , that we should assist each other to live a life in harmony. Thank you Prem Ramdeo.

Very pleasant

Rough start

The sales talk and set up was great if only all the real details were given before purchase. The first install left me short 5 panels, I then lost 5 months of solar with no one contacting me leaving me with a $1500 end of year electric bill. I like having solar but some of the issues are stressful.

Kiara was great. She let me ask all the questions I could think of to have a shared understanding of the process.

Customer service

Called to have my micro inverter repaired and Mike was very helpful in getting the appointment for repair done.

Reps are nice and try to be helpful, within the confines of their job. It does take days for a response and no one seems to have the necessary information to avoid having to contact multiple entities and then wait a few days again before a response.

Bad battery

Installation was completed on November 17th. However, the battery was defective and there was no replacement anywhere in the United States until March 15th. Installation of the new battery was completed on March 17th. I'm not totally satisfied with the four month delay and misinformation. I was using my system believing I was totally on solar but when I received a bill for over twice as much as my old bill from SDG&E, I knew something was wrong. Despite being fixed and the poor follow service, I would not recommend freedom forever to my family or friends.

I spoke with Kiara who walked me through my problem fix. She was extremely patient with me, you know us old guys!! She helped correct everything I was doing wrong. I can now monitor my system with the app. Her knowledge and patience was over the top. Thank you Kiara

Excellent Work

Freedom Forever installed our Solar and Battery and did an excellent job. They communicated before arriving, worked all day and cleaned up the job when done. I look forward to the city turning it all on.

Worst Experience ever.

My solar system installation was completed on October 17th, 2025. It is now March 25th, 2026 and the system is still not producing solar energy. This company is incompetent

solar edge software - consumption vs. production seems odd

I thought Mike did a good job on addressing my concerns and setting up a troubleshooting assignment for the technical peeps to fix. He assured me that the power I was generating was going out to the grid when there was enough power going out. My only issue was the microphone and clear speech. If I go to Morgan Stanley AMEX peeps, the communication is clear as a bell and I am talking to a real American peep. There is a subtle difference here.

Permission to Operate

We received Permission to Operate from our utility but the instructions to activate the system on the Freedom Forever portal did not address the blinking green light on the inverter. I queried customer service and they did not seem to understand my question as their reply said I was waiting for the Permission to Operate (which I had already received). So I called customer support and could not understand most of what the agent said, but I gathered that I needed to wait for Freedom Forever to do something to activate my system. So, I am waiting.

Taking forever to get system running.

We had our system installed in January of 2025. They got the panels up pretty quickly and then the pipes were just hanging off the side of the wall. They came back about 2 months ago and at some point they put the power wall up. Wait. They said we needed a power wall which I was okay with because Ameren Illinois had changed their net meter portion of solar. Problem is I can't get hold of anybody. My system looks like it's hooked up but apparently they need some body to come out and check it out or the Ameren needs to turn it on. I'm just not sure what has to happen now. Calling the helpline is a joke I've been on. I've been on hold for 30 minutes and there's still more than 10 callers ahead of me. I've already e-signed another document from Ameren and uploaded my insurance for my homeowners like they asked. But I've not gotten any emails back, which I usually do when I've done something like that. Kind of out here in limbo

Great service

I had a great experience with freedom forever customer service. The woman I had was very friendly and helpful. She helped me to change my email address and get documents I needed to file my taxes. She was very knowledgeable about what I needed.

Overall terrible experience

Where to start? There's been too much going on so I'll touch on the lowlights. The entire project has been going for over 7 months. They had to relocate my existing solar panel box from the back of the house to the side of the house to bring it up to code when they installed the newer system. After tearing up literally half my yard the project took another 2 months before they could actually lay down the power, get sign-off from the county and rebury it. We're in the desert so have xerascaped yards. The area they had to trench was left a mound of clay and dirt instead of the expensive river rock that had covered it. It took another month after sending an estimate from my landscaper to return it to its original state, a tech came out with a rake and spread a few rocks around. He took samples of the rock from the yard and said they would return with another delivery of rocks and finish the job. (My landscaper quoted 2.5 tons to redo the yard.) 3 weeks later and no word so I call back only to find out the ticket was closed and marked as finished. It took yet another call to customer service to reopen the ticket and now I'm waiting once again for another tech to schedule a time to come back out, look at the yard, rake some rocks around, and then do who knows what. No idea how many more months this is going to drag on. If I had the option I would never have any interaction with this company again because the whole thing has been a nightmare.

No Refund acknowledged

I spoke with and exchanged text with my sales manager that I was canceling. I was well within the 5 days allowed for such purpose. I am 70 years old. All I get are requests for payment or proof of ownership. Neither is necessary to refund my deposit.
