I am in Reaford NC , I am 77 years of age A VETERAN I have never did business with any company this backward. I do not know who the CEO might be , but if you are ready to file a Law suit about this company please let me know. I am so tired of I understand but nothing is being done. the bank that finance them must know how they do business, my next move is legal, how can you do a government back program this way. WRAL news should hear about this. Anyone that think about doing solar should know about this. check you company before you sing!

A Horrendous Experience with Feedom Forever: A Cautionary Tale

I must say, this company's service is nothing short of a complete disaster; it's undoubtedly the worst company I could have ever imagined dealing with. Back in September 2022, I made the unfortunate decision to sign a contract with them, and what followed has been an absolute nightmare. Even after waiting for a grueling 10 months, there's still no ETA in sight for them to activate my system. Their communication is virtually non-existent. They went ahead and installed the panels in a completely different layout than what I had originally agreed upon, without even bothering to inform me. To add insult to injury, two random guys showed up unannounced on my roof to do some backfill tiles, and I had no clue what was going on. I've lost count of how many times I've called them, each time being promised that they would get back to me with updates. But guess what? Not a single callback ever materialized. It took them a staggering three months just to install the panels after removing my roof tiles, and another two months to backfill them. And guess what again? The backfilled tiles are a mess – not aligned, not leveled – just an eyesore. They have absolutely no regard for customer satisfaction. Broken tiles have been sitting in front of my garage, and the rest of the tiles have been stacked on my roof for nearly two weeks now, and it seems like they couldn't care less. In my desperation, I asked them to cancel the whole project to avoid risking my utility for the next 25 years without proper support. You know what their response was? A very quick resounding and heartless "NO" – not even a hint of empathy or understanding. Enough is enough! I've filed a complaint with the California Contractors State Licensing Board, but the wait for a response feels like eternity. In the meantime, I've had to resort to involving my lawyer, who is now preparing a lawsuit to force them to cancel this disastrous project. In all my years as a consumer, I've never encountered a company so callous, unprofessional, and unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes. My advice to anyone considering doing business with this company: run in the opposite direction and spare yourself from the headache and heartache that I've endured.

Zero Project Management and Accountability!

Solar system was installed with a roof replacement in December 2022. It is still not operational. Told several stories from 4 to 13 plan changes with the City before sending the paperwork to the utility company in order to turn on the solar system. 1. Andrew Brown, the sales person initially promised he would be the point of contact for the project (this was in October 2022). He has now washed his hands of the project and sent it to a Crystal Tenorio today (7-20-23). This is the first contact from customer service in which she left a voicemail. We tried calling back twice today… no answer so far. 2. Some of these issues could have been mitigated with proper project management that communicated issues. But we have had zero project management to mitigate slips in the project. The amount of time and money spent by us appear to not matter once you sign for the purchase. 3. Customer service at 888-557-6431 is trying to help but it had zero ability to help with problems on the project. If there is not communication soon… litigation will be our next step.

Horrible company

This company is by far one of the biggest scams and worst company you could possibly imagine. They sell you on an idea and a system that cost us 65k and as soon as it’s activated everything they said goes out the window. We are now paying for a system that doesn’t eliminate the bill, it barely makes any difference in the bill despite what they say. Make sure to ask your electric company how they work with solar panels customers beck this company lies through their teeth to get your money and then do nothing to help you afterwards. Also the roof warranty is a lie. I was told that they cover your roof and they do not. One of their roof guys came out to fix a couple of shingles and then tells us the roof needs to be replaced. I called the office to be told that it is not covered. I told them what was said during the sales and setup process, that the roof had a total roof replacement warranty.

Absolute nightmare

Once planning was approved. It took this company almost 30 days to apply for permits. I was told it would take 2 days. So I took off 2 days from work. They did it in one however . The first rain I had water coming in from my ceiling. They dented a roof vent. They came out and repaired it. They where going to Install inverter outside. Which 4 other solar companies Informed me . They should be Inside. Due to the elements. I also found that it's not Freedom solar that warranty the Inverter. It's the make of the inverter. So it was just quick and easy and less monet and time to install outside. Needless to say they are inside. 3 weeks after installation Freedom scheduled my Inspection. There electrician came out. He found many faults so Inspection. Never went through. Nor has the faults been fixed nor have they communicated to me what the faults are. My payments start tomorrow July 7. The solar system is nowhere. Being close to being online. When u give installers a bonus for finishing ahead of schedule. Quality workmanship lacks. I started this project in the spring to save money through the summer months. My salesperson has been helpful but can only do so much. If this company wants to make it right they need to take 10000.00 of system price. Communicate with clie to. If I knew all of this I would of used the same people my neighbor used. His system was bigger cost less. And had zero problems.

Terrible sales, results, horrendous customer service

I would not recommend using this company for your solar panels. I made the huge mistake of buying solar panels from a salesman named Tegan Judd. On multiple occasions, I asked him point blank, if these solar panels would generate enough to eliminate my electricity bill. The answer was always Yes, with the additional comment that the electrical utility would buy back all excess energy generated by the solar panels. Three months later, they started the installation and I started getting billed for them. So now I was not only paying my full electric bill, but for the solar panels as well. The panels finally went operational in July and it took months to get reimbursed for the double billing. Now that things have been operational for a year, I am getting $14 a month benefit from my solar panels. $14? I have contacted customer service multiple times, they tell me they never promised that the production would replace a utility bill, but just that they would generate what they promised they would. The problem is they don't produce what they told me. Now they are telling me that I can request some kind of an "audit" by filling out a form called an SPCR. However, they are scheduling these "audits" 4 to 5 months out. And I have searched their website and can't find the form I have to submit. Tegan has apparently left the company although he still shows as my sales rep. He used to respond to my texts about 3 weeks later. He was going to look at adding more panels, but why should I pay for more panels when they aren't producing what they said they would? I told him it would be best to just come and remove them and patch the roof and just end the relationship, but they told me that can't be done. I'm getting increasingly frustrated with FF—their response time, the lack of options and the lack of action. They're like a cable company—they'll promise the world to new customers, but they don't care a bit about existing customers. At this point, I wonder if legal action is the only thing that will get FF to give this some attention.

Been waiting for over 6 months

Started out good until we paid in full, then had to threaten with legal action to finish instal, now 8 months and after numerous phone calls we received plenty of promises to complete but no action from them. We have contacted the Contractors board in Nevada, registered our complaints, still waiting for a response, my lawyer is preparing the paperwork to proceed with the lawsuit.

This solar company will not tell you the truth and you will end up with a 25 year loan that isn’t not worth . They offered me solar and I agree because I thought this will help me save money long term but it’s not happening not only they lied to me about getting a refund from the government because there’s no such thing now they want me to pay more for having the panels

Bad company

People don’t sign with these people. Because of their equipment failure my solar is out for over 21 days. I had Tesla in a previous house and they were very good. Do your investigation before you buy. My advice is to stay away from this company.

Worst experience of my life, cant even give them one star

Started this disaster a year ago August. They came out did all the engineering. Told me at the sales call that the electrical box needed an upgrade and calculated 2500 in the price. Ok, no issues. However when the electrican came out and told me that they couldnt upgrade the box because it sat above he gas meter and they would have to move the box to in between my two front windows of my house, trench across my driveway and up my landscaping for an extra 26K. I said no way. Then they came up with another idea to place the box on the side of the garage, which was fine, but another 20K to trench 6 feet and run the line over the roof. So now the project is cancelled but no one ever let me know, Communication was poor at best. Then they billed me for the security system install that was an inducement to sign the contract which is how I found out it was cancelled. The wording on the invoice says I am in breach of the contract and how I found out the project was dead. I took the tax deduction last year because the project was still viable and now I have to file an amended return and pay more tax. What a mess and no communication, poor service all the way around. As soon as I said I needed to chat with my attorney the bill for security system showed up and guess what they wont answer the phone now. Big surprise. Do not use this company for anything!

Run. Run Fast and Run Far.

Without a doubt the worst purchasing decision I have ever made. The company seems to have no oversight on any projects. From little things to scheduling appointments with local inspectors to big things like taking 10 months to complete an install that I was told would be 30 to 90 days. And now that its all running, I see that two of my 30 panels are not producing to spec. Bad right out of the gate. Be careful as many of the Sales Companies you work with do not mention who the actual installation and system management will be handled by. Ask up front and if they say Freedom Forever........Run.

I paid for a 10.15 kWh system got 29 350w panels which is the 10.5 kWh . The problem is they installed a 7500 kWh inverter so the max my system can produce is 7.62 kWh. Make sure you look at the inverter size because thats the maximum it can produce no mater how many panels you have beware!!!

Terrible

Freedom Forever gave me a "free quote" but then I told them I did not want to move forward and wanted to cancel. Later down the line, I saw that this had hit my credit report. I called and they placed an email to cancel. I am now I am here on 9 months later, and this company is trying to charge me monthly for a loan I never took, nor did I receive any panels. I am still having no communication back from this company. DO NOT DO A FREE QUOTE, because this will cost you. I am still pending all of this to be cancelled.

Horrible

My solar has not produced since March. It is now June. I had a tech out 2 weeks ago and he said he had to order parts. I have been trying to reach the office with number on website Does not work. I have sent messages on line. One person said no record of parts ordered. I have been disappointed with this service since day 1. Waste of money Elizabeth A (redacted for privacy)

Unresponsive after sale

Very unprofessional, salesman are shady will stay in contact during the beginning process but once the sale is done they will disappear and never answer calls. Very unresponsive, no one is available to help after contract is signed.

Scam financing arrangement

Freedom Forever did not deliver anything for 2 months but ensured financing from Mosaic company and now delays cancellation based on non-performance and Mosaic scheme is pressing customers for payment for nothing! Basic scam setup so several complaints are filed already. Be warned for both of these companies!

No communication

Signed up with SunRun through Costco, for additional panels Feb. 28, 2023. Freedom Forever (FF) showed up, said they were doing just installs for SunRun. Next step was supposed to be city inspection, which didn't happen until 5/17/2023. Again, Freedom Forever was who came to meet city inspector, who ended up NOT showing! Fortunate, too, as tech from FF noticed conduit which should have had wiring in it, was open at 1 end, no wiring inside, and not connected to anything. He said he had to cancel inspection because instal was not finished/complete. I'm not happy! Communication has been missing since day one. If we hadn't had things go as smoothly as initial instal a year ago, we wouldn't even know what was supposed to happen and when! SunRun needs to find a better company to subcontract with.

Worst Company of all time

This company is basically a scam. They lie about everything do not use them. You will get stuck with a system that barely produces and be paying power bill

My partner and I have worked in the solar industry for 4 years. I worked in management an he worked on the installation end. We have both heard that freedom forever was a bad company to buy from. I purchased a home that has a system on it already that is only 2 years old. I took over the loan when purchasing the home. I would not have done business with this company personally but I really wanted the home. The sale went through in October but I guess there is a complete disconnect with them an there financing. Escrow sent all paperwork to sunlight as well as freedom forever. I assumed all was taken care of until my system stopped working in March an they would not assist me. I sent all necessary documents an that took forever to just have my name in there system as the new owner. It’s been 2 months an they are moving tremendously slow. Luckily solar edge let us know the inverter was out so I was able to get a ticket in for a technician to come in an repair it. I haven’t received any answer on when they will be coming out. It is approaching 3 digits an my true up is going to be ridiculous because of the screw up. Freedom Forever needs to take some accountability and fix this issue asap. I will continue to let everyone know not to do business with this company. I should have listened or worked out a better deal while closing on my home to atleast make this less painful.

Flee from this horribly-run company. You have been warned!

I’ve been holding off writing this. But Freedom Forever is a horrible company to deal with, particularly when competition for solar is so high right FLEE! Do NOT use them! We signed up back in September 2022 for a $75,000 system. We were promised a $4k rebate in writing if we signed up that day, and it’s now May of 2023 and they’re still haggling over it. Additionally, we were guaranteed a “consumption monitor” as part of our system to monitor panel production, etc. Nothing. Now they want an extra $500 to install the monitor. There is NO customer service, other than calling an 800 number in California that places you on hold for an hour to reach anyone. Even our sales rep can’t get anything done, despite his diligence. FF is VERY quick to send a crew out to measure your roof for panels and install them. But good luck if you have customer service issues. A few months ago, we were assigned an “enhanced customer service representative” who is completely non-responsive and are considering legal action against the company, which is extremely unusual for us. I’ve never sued anyone in my life, but this has been such a scam. Find another solar company. They’re a dime a dozen these days. You have been warned.

Unfortunate

Everyone is having trouble with installation. It is unfortunate that this has been the case. Just like others, I have had my solar panels installed 3 months and they still don’t work. They have had me take off work 6 times to work on my project and have failed 3 county inspections. Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever had, always taking notes and ensuring progress just to have to call next week and ask the same questions and they take the same notes and nobody comes or calls back.

BUYER BEWARE fraudulent business

Run far far away from this company. We are being charged $25,000 for solar panels that we don't have nor do we want. This company has absolutely the worst customer service I've ever received and will tell you anything to get your money. We called them for a quote and are now battling for 5 months so far to have a fraudulent account removed from our credit. This is beyond ridiculous.

Customer Service does not exist

I started this process in September 2022, I still don’t have a running system but I am paying for the equipment. Freedom Forever has the worst customer service and terrible communication. They have wired half of my panels backwards and now I find out from NVEnergy that the AC disconnect is wired in reverse. Called them several time but got nothing resolved. Seems to me that hiring an attorney is my next step to getting them to do what they have been paid to do.
