horrible service I paid 5 months ago and still have no approval

5 months after install and payment i still have no approval and no solar. bad service.

The worst service ever

If I could I will give zero star to this company. My new solar system started on January 2023 and only worked for 2 months. The system suddenly went off on March. Freedom turned it on but since then the system never works properly. The production dropped by about 70%. They used different excuses to refuse to fix the problem keeping telling me there is no problem with the system. Freedom forever is the worst choice I made.

DO NOT CONTACT THEM

WE ARE NOW BEING CHARGED FOR SOLAR THAT WAS NEVER INSTALLED. WE NEVER MET WITH ANYONE BUT SALES AND NEVER AUTHORIZED THEM TO PROCEED WITH ONE THING. NOW A YEAR AND 4 MONTHS LATER THEY CHARGED OUR ACCOUNT. WORST THING IS THAT WE CANNOT GET THEM TO ANSWER THE PHONE.

Company deserves a class action lawsuit

Purchased home with complete solar system installed in Oct. 2021 by previous owner, who unfortunately fell for their sales tactics. System went down within 6 months of buying the house, and the company has not bothered to even contact me. I initiated numerous calls to customer service, all of which ended up nowhere, with ever new excuses coming from them. I have been paying for my power for two months now, and there is no end in sight. I'm going to consult with lawyer, as I see no other option at this point.

Looking for other victims

I am looking for additional plaintiffs interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Freedom Forever. They do not act in good faith to resolve issues so I highly encourage you to see legal action immediately and do not make the same mistake I and the others I know did trying to resolve it with them directly. It’s been ten months and still no settlement.

System not producing as contracted

I'll give them one star for getting the install done as planned, however, since then the system has failed to produce the contracted amount of energy for 3 of the 5 years i've had the system. Everytime it's the inverter that is the issue. After 7 months and multiple follow ups, submitting multiple documents, etc, Freedom Forever finally responded and noted a clause in the contract that they are not responsible if the inverter doesn't work. What?... I bought a solar SYSTEM from Freedom Forever and that included the inverter. I didn't get to chose which one or have any say in this, so how do I know it's not a cheap, undersized device? I can see it breaking once in that timeframe... but not three times! ... and it take months for anyone to notice and fix it. I paid for a solar SYSTEM to produce at least X amount of energy per year... and because part of that SYSTEM breaks Freedom Forever won't make it right. I would not work with this company ever again or reccomend to anyone.

Not a reliable company.

This company has the worst customer service and I do not write many reviews. But I am tired of not getting any help and the system is normally down during the months of May through September. I also use up our credits due to this problem. My electric bills are high during the summer and this should not be tolarated by any body who complains about this in their reviews. Our system went down in 2021 and 2023. All I want is it to be corrected or replased with a new or updated system. May be a chance for a class action law suit.

Complete Incompetence and Carelessness

The team that installed my panels blasted sexually explicit music all about “sucking” and “f***ing” that could be heard throughout our house and neighborhood. Maybe this is one of the company’s misguided marketing tactics? They didn’t even have the decency or awareness to turn it off/down when I was out with my eight and ten-year old sons walking past them. I had to ask them to turn it off. Then, after the installation, the company demanded payment for a service that was never rendered. They stated if the money wasn’t payed, the system would be shutdown. I provided them with evidence that they never provided the service. They begrudgingly managed a half-okole apology. But then two months later they demanded money for the same imagined service, and I had to provide the same evidence again. Customer service is painfully slow and disinterested. When they answer the phone, they sound like they have just woken-up from a month long medically induced coma. You will likely get more reaction and assistance from your pet rock. Avoid this company like the plague!

Poor customer service. Double payments!

Please do yourself a favor and educate yourself better than I. I have been with this company since August 2022, it is now August 2023 and my solar panels and power wall are still not operational... I am now paying for the solar panel loan and monthly electric bill. Please do not waste your time, or money with this sham of a company. Look elsewhere!

Don't do it

First couple years they tried to make it right - system had to be traded out once. We rarely get any production during the months we need it most. When we complain, they have us send in a years' worth of electric bills and then send us a nominal amount to compensate for any differences. This year when we complained, they said they reviewed, and we are receiving what we were promised. How can that be when we were sold we would benefit most in the worst months of the year. I honestly believe we will never ever get our money out of solar. $35,000 - truthfully, we did get a rebate on our taxes - but still, we will never get our money out of it let alone any savings. Our bill for August was $733.26 and NO solar was produced? How is this possible? We got the most in the months of January - April. We are in Las Vegas. Just awful.

Bad Company

First off--STAY AWAY! It has been since March of 22 that I signed the contract--to date (August 21, 2023) still no service. Panels were installed in September of 22. Customer service is non existent. They no longer respond to emails. I filed a BBB complaint as well as CSL Board complaint--and it appears many other have done so as well. How do they stay in business? I spoke with "Zach" who said he was a supervisor (took months of phone calls to get to him), and he said he would look into it and get back to me on Friday August 25--I doubt he will. Have contacted an attorney to get panels removed and roof restored to original.

DO NOT Go with this Company!

This is the WORST Company for Solar!! DO NOT even consider them! My project was delayed by 6 months because they: 1. got my address wrong 2. Didn't order what was needed 3. Submitted my information to Edison incorrectly and 4. Didn't anwer the phone with Edison finally DID call and 5. FORGOT about my project. Then, after calling, calling and calling my project was fianlly completed and turned all. The hold up was the invertor, which HAS GONE BAD AFTER 6 MONTHS. I was promised a $1000 rebate for a referral, which I did refer someone. It took me months to get it because my saleman LEFT and was never heard from again. I had to prove that I was told I would get this rebate....thank god I saved the text message. I was issued the check, finally, but then 4 days later Freedom Forever WITHDREW THE MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT. I have now been fighting with them to get it back. The NEVER call back, even though they promise that they will. I wish I NEVER went with these people. I am currently waiting for a new invertor, and having to pay both my Freedom Forever bill AND Edison because the panels are not working. I called and was told that it was not Freedom Forever's fault...so I still have to pay both. I guess it's MY FAULT?

Service and equipment quality

After getting the equipment installed in 2021. Initially they were extremely delayed in installing. We paid the first installment on the equipment well before we had seen any equipment. We were promised a reimbursement of that payment, which never happened! (1st Red Flag)!! After 1 year, the cellular card in the Solar edge inverter had a systemic failure and took a couple months of calling and waiting to get a technician out to end up just switching out the inverter. At least it was producing power! Four months later, complete failure of the inverter! Constant idle mode, No production for five weeks and counting! Hottest time in Texas and now we pay for full electricity and on broke-ass crappy equipment and get BS excuses why FF cannot get it fixed! ("We are remotely troubleshooting" For 4-1/2 weeks???)!! After nothing short of 10 separate calls to support line with an average wait of 30 minutes and the possibility of waiting for a call back, We finally had to threaten with our attorney contacting them to get a BS appointment the following Saturday before 9am with a tech call prior to arrival, came and gone. Contacted support and service coordinator, support said appointment was from 8am-10am. No response from coordinator! 10am came and went, no call or tech! Contacted support once again. She messaged tech who said he was stuck on current job and will be here 12:45 pm. No phone call from tech to communicate issue. She gave my number to tech to contact me.(He already was supposed to have my number!!) And here we sit wasting half of the day waiting without any communication, for a repair that was due a month ago!! If you are looking for a solar solution, look somewhere else! This company is the worst for communication, product, customer service, and overall customer satisfaction! RUN, RUN AWAY!!!

Avoid at all costs

They work in two stages. First stage, they tell you that you'll get a certain amount of coverage and when you agree they go ahead with the first stage of the project. They pull out at second mortgage in your name with your house up for collateral. Then they come back to you saying that you'll get less solar coverage than they promised. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! We cancelled at this point. Called the sales rep and he assured us of cancellation. Called freedom to make sure of cancellation. Their customer service is designed to confuse you. They talk alot about sending out a ticket to this department and that department. Anyways, flash forward to six months later and I'm still having to get my project cancelled. And I still have a 30 THOUSAND dollar loan on my credit report that the bank won't remove until freedom sends them confirmation of cancellation and gives them their money back. FREEDOM FOREVER IS A SCAM. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Worst experience - Customer Service is non existent

This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. It has been over 546 days from the date I signed up for solar. I just got it operational last week and not even sure that it is working correctly but I cannot get anyone to call me back and I have sat on hold for over 1:00 hour everyday for the past 3 days and nothing.

Worst Quality of Product

I began my project almost a year ago to date and I understood the delays of equipment and parts as many companies have experienced over the past two years, yet when it came time to install the workers were friendly, but it was not the same crew each time. After the second crew came out I asked why and I was informed they did not have the right equipment with them and that they were not equipped for my specific installation. Still the guys were nice and customer oriented. I called into to support, and my sales rep and they were helpful, but even then, they stated the plans were messed up and wrong. So, this was back at the end of May going on 8 months. When the fourth trip was made, I was told it would go to APS for review and final with Freedom Forever, but guess who was now knocking on my door, Freedom we want our payment. Payment for a non-operational system??? Really??? Well payment was made because I was told it would be operational well here, we are 3 months and 3 payments later and no solar, no service and told it will be another 14 to 21 days for a technician to come out. GO ELSEWHERE!! I was told this was a good thing and, in a sense, going "green". Even APS agreed it was good, but as I have spoken with Freedom Forever repeatedly and explained to APS the situation, APS said they have experienced poor service from them.

Bad Service

I would not recommend this company. The sales rep took advantage/lied to men from the beginning. Now that my system is up and running I have reach out to sales rep four times and after two weeks he referred me to Freedom and told me something else that upset me. I have reach out to Freedom via email twice now and I have yet to hear back from them. Hopefully soon they will get back to me. Right now I wish I never got solar panels.

Very unprofessional, and careless

After the install and all the B.S . Of getting the sale , and the system, it’s almost impossible to get any kind of contract for services, I’ve lost 3 buyers for my house cause can’t hat any help for new buyers, any info , nothing.. and they promised, at the sale of my house they would help to sale the system to new buyers.. and NOTHING not even a call back ..VERY unprofessional, and careless…if I could I would have never purchased through them…….

Worst company ever

It has been more than 6 months, since they installed the panels, but the system hasn't been activated yet. They don't respond to emails, calling customer service never works. We are just stuck with them with no option to contact them whatsoever. Please don't fall for their false promises.

Sweet Sales Pitch, HORRENDOUS execution and service

Everything from the sales pitch to the installation was cake. They told me "It's a no brainer" decision to go with their system and service. I was told multiple times that my geographic area had been researched and that service their AND I QUOTE "Won't be a problem." After the installation, I was completely ghosted. Noone showed me how to understand or work with the system. TWO months went by and I was still paying my electric bill except MORE now. The system wasn't generating anything and Freedom Forever was still sending me a bill. I had to contact them and their response was abysmal. After more deficiencies on their end in sending a tech out, I was told that they would need to install another component because service in my area was poor. I am still waiting for them to fix the problem.

Rip off at its finest

I have never had such a high bill. My bill is higher than its ever been. I am struggling just to keep my lights on and pay a solar panel bill. The solar panels are barely producing any power. Maybe 57 dollars a month but I pay 208 a month for the panels plus a 330 or better light bill. I am very unsatisfied with this company. This is not beneficial for me at all. Every time I call they say it's producing. This is a sorry company.

Stay away from these people!

I had solar panels installed on my roof by Freedom Forever, LLC in June 2023. Long story short, they damaged my HVAC wiring which resulted in me having to bring an HVAC company in to fix it. They did an "investigation" that took about a month to determine that they were at fault. Granted the inspector who came a few weeks prior, verified at that time (in person) that it was their fault. We were then told it would take something like 6-8 weeks to receive the reimbursement. They made us complete at w-9 which I had questions about because from my understanding, a w-9 is an IRS form that is to be completed for independent contractors or freelancers. We were told if we had to pay any contributions at tax time, it wasn't their problem by an "escalations specialist." This was NOT the first and/or last issue we had with this company. Their customer service support is horrendous, and you are lucky if you can actually reach someone over the phone or receive an email back. The sales team provided the wrong number of panels and then was unreachable for about 3-4 weeks. I would stay clear of this company! It is not worth the hassle to deal with their circus!!

Not a happy customer !

I have not been happy with this company since my installation. Panels were installed on October of 2022. I had to be the one to be on top of this company to finally get the panels turned on, which was February 2023. I started paying for the Panels in January of 2023 when they weren't even turned on yet. After my numerous calls to customer service asking when the system would be turned on, one operator advised they could reimburse me for the payments I made for the non-operable panels. That also took almost 2 months to receive. But I figured they are trying to make things right. Then I recently receive a text message (07/14/2023) saying the inverter is not operable. It's a new inverter. From my understanding an inverter should not go out this soon. I have not even had the system for a year yet. Yes, you heard me, I said not even a year yet. The inverter is not made by this company but purchased from an outside company. Because of global constraints, I should get one installed by August 23,2023. With all of this my electric bill sky rocked and I'm paying for the solar panels too. I called customer service for this company, and I was told because it is operable, I still have to pay for the panels AND the high electric bill. What the hell am I paying both bills for if an inverter is not supposed to go bad for years!!!!! Granted no one can tell when something is going to go bad, but something needs to be done. Especially when their customers finance a mini fortune for these panels. Save your sanity and go to another solar panel company! I would not recommend this company.

This company has been a joke since day one. I don't even know where to begin. From it taking a year to install to a leak in our kitchen from them penetrating the roof causing a hole. Looking for a lawyer if anyone can recommend us one. Thank you

Please beware of this company.

We have had solar with them for 3 years and have had 3 inverters replaced in this time. I filed a complaint about production this year after receiving an electric bill for $1200. The reason this happened is because it took them 3 months to replace the inverter. Their decision was that they did not owe use any compensation because they do not warranty equipment that they don't manufacture. Therefore they are not responsible. They also stated that they do not guarantee you will see a reduction in your electric bill. They only guarantee that the system they install will produce what they project it will. Our system did not meet their projected amount, but they don't consider it their fault since they did not manufacture the inverter. We are very disappointed with the customer service and lack of responsibility they have.
