Worthless system horrible sevice

Refuses to acknowledge their system was installed improperly causing a less than 1300sqft home to still have high utility bills. In our large subdivision we have right at 50 homes with solar panels. Of those 50 homes 49 of the have the panels installed on the south & west side of their home to receive maximum sunlight. One home has all of the panels on the north side of the home so the amount of sunlight received is reduced. My home would be the only one out of 50 with the north facing panels. I also am the only home that has to pay a large electric bill on top of the loan payment. You can't convince me my 1259sqft home uses more energy that a 1600sqft home. Especially when we are gone 10 hours a day. They refuse to take responsibility of sales tactics used by the sales person from SunRun who represented them. Even when SunRun states they were working under the Fastrac umbrella. When you post things that they disagree with you get blocked on social media accounts and they refuse to answer emails. Just like a bunch of brat kids they take their ball and go home. I can promise you they won't even respond to this because they know they are wrong. Stay tuned for further photos, videos, and reviews.

Horrible Service

Can't fix the issue for 5 months and keep giving me the runaround. Avoid this company.

Doesn't care

We had our system installed in 2001. We were promised a whole house system and that's what we paid for. For the first two years my electric bill, it's almost as high as it was before the panels. This was the first year that we had lower payments and a couple of credits. Now suddenly our system went out and they want $250 just come out and look at it. We have a warranty that is supposed to cover labor and materials, but we were told that doesn't matter they charge $250 period and it was impossible for them to wave it. So stay away from this company and vivint. Vivint sells the product and Fastrac installs it.

Fastrac kept me informed of every step performed and were very helpful when I had questions. Installation was fast and the they arrived on time. Overall, it’s been a very smooth process!

My Fastrac Installation was great!

The Fastrac team was great at the installation of my solar panels on my house. They communicated throughout the whole process via text and phone calls. I would get email updates as well. The team that came to do my install was on time and did a great job.

Never contract anything with Fastrac

Fastrac Solar (FTS) sub-contracted the Installation of 40 panels, on my home, in Arlington, Tx., last December, 2022, to Cowboy Solar (CS). Several mistakes were made by CS and I first tried to get CS to fix them, and he said he wouldn't do anything, unless FTS told him to. FTS has not, and will not, do anything to correct the problems. Right after the installation, I could at least talk some of their associates to try to get help. But now, they won't even answer their phones. I'm not sure that they are even in business. If you are even thinking about contracting FTS for anything, please reconsider.

Run- do not deal with this company

I would give it zero stars if I could - we were lied to from the beginning - the cost of the panels is more than the cost of our home! Within 1 week the production stopped - we are gridlock with the power company- was lied to about that as well. We are going to look into hiring an attorney at this point - HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY - NOT WORTH IT AT ALL

SDavis | Anson, TX | 08/28/2023

Unapproachable

We had hard time getting them to finish project. Now we can't contact them. Our electric bill is over $350 a month then a solar panel payment on top of that of $170 so no savings achieved by using theses solar panels.

Sara Jackson | Sanger, TX | 08/18/2023

Don't do it

I have a solar panel with fastrac. A panel was damaged in June 2023. It took them a month to get out and inspect the panel. The inspection was completed in July. August came around no communication from Fastrac. The panel still hasn't been replaced. I called them in August and was told to wait on a call from Crystal to set up a replacement. If I had not called them, I would not have been contacted. The panels are not worth what they charge for them. you don't save any money. They are not worth it. Currently, they are in direct violation of their contract I will be seeking legal advice.

Went you pay for something it should work

We bought this about two year and had issues them we have to pay a one time service fee to get the solar back working again. Then the guy that can out told my wife they need to replace the breakers they put in for the solar if they keep popping. So last week before the 4 of July we called no one called us back still ducking every time we call.I would not recommend anyone use FASTRAC for solar because they don’t stand behind there work and never call you back

Darian Watson | Cedar Park, TX | 06/21/2023

Since making the decision to get solar I have had no issues with customer support. Information is passed to me in a timely manner and I have had problems getting my questions resolved.

Ralph | La Marque, TX | 05/15/2023

The Worst

In the beginning I was approached by one of their agents who sold me on having solar panels put on my roof. The selling point was that in a year or so, I would receive a "rebate" of $13,000 or so. I could use this money to take a vacation or apply it to the loan and not have my payment go up. This was a bald faced LIE. Now I've found out that I have to pay over $11,000 to the loan company or my payments will go up. Such fraud. After a misunderstanding regarding an email I had sent to my representative, my sarcasm resulted in hysteria in their main office. Installation was halted and loan had to be rewritten and things began all over. In the meantime my representative was taken off the case and I had no one to represent me. This resulted in discussing everything with a secretary who admitted she was not a representative. The loan was rewritten and payments started. I received an invoice from Mosaic and I questioned the loan number. This secretary told me not to pay the invoice because it was the wrong loan number. In fact, throw it away. After 3 months of not paying it, I was reported to the credit bureau and my credit crashed. Come to find out the loan number was correct. I was now behind 3 payments. At least this secretary admitted she messed up. One thing after another including the roofing crew making derogatory remarks about me thinking I couldn't understand Spanish. This entire thing has been unrivaled Hell.

To Date Horrible

They are supposed to be in the process of getting my solar system back up and running. It was installed in late May, early June and went online. The BENEFITS were slight and then total failure. They said they would have to contact the "manufacturer" of the equipment they "installed". That was at the end of February. It was mid-March before they had figured out the problem. It was the "inverter" and the manufacturer would have a new delivered to my house. FasTrac personnel told to contact them as soon as I got and then they could schedule to have it installed. I received it on March 31st and called. BEFORE, we can schedule the installation, you have to pay for the "labor". Another employee emailed me and asked for my credit card information so they could get my "payment"! Are you kidding me? You want me to give you that info and not even tell me how much it is going to cost. Got another email with instructions going through "Intuit" and set up a $250 payment. That payment was made on April 6. Today is April 18 and I am being eaten alive with extremely high electric bills. It is now to the point I think I am gonna have to sell my "wife" or file for bankruptcy. I AM STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO CALL or whatever and schedule the installation. SO, WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T USE FASTRAC FOR ANYTHING. !!!!!IMO!!! When they had finished the installation back in 2022, after they left, I walked around my property and found several Corona beer bottles and caps. MAYBE THAT IS WHAT IS REALLY WRONG THEY hooked it all up to their beer bottles instead of solar panels and the inverter is totally confused what to invert and how! Thier "customer service" is one big JOKE.

Cedric Lewis | Killeen, TX | 01/24/2023

Costing the Customer

Your solar panels are not producing as promised. They have been active since June and I have yet to see a reduction in my energy costs, on top of that, I'm paying for the panels. I called customer service and they informed me that there was a problem. They ordered me a part and had it shipped to my home. I received the part and scheduled an appointment to have it installed. I subsequently misplaced the part, so when the installer came to make the fix, it didn't happen. Totally my fault. I have since found the part and would like to have it installed and you want to charge me $350 for a return trip. I feel the charge is ridiculous and it gives you an excuse not to your job, which should include customer care. Apparently you do not care. Please come and install this part to stop financial costs to me and my family. It would help isfMark Perrin would stop avoiding my calls. He is the salesman that lied to me in the first place

Fast Service

I was introduced to Fastrac in mid December 2022 and today mid January 2023 and I just flipped ON the switch to start my energy harvesting. I have not had any problems so far for the month with Fastrac so far. I work nights and I have been texting them instead of calling due to the times I’m available and it all went great. Awesome overall from sales to installation and being part of the group of people helping support our power grid.

Colette Johnson | Dallas, TX | 10/26/2022

Terrible Customer Service

I got my solar system installed with fastrac back in March and, it has been nothing but a nightmare. I've been lied too and deceived. At this point, I am convinced that i am working with a sloppy installer that does not give a crap about their clients experience. Not only did they have many delays with the project, that were their own fault, i also was the one who had to come out of my own pocket to pay for these mistakes. For example not having a master electrician on sight while the city comes to make their inspection. 2 week delay there. Finally i get everything taken care of and I'm still receiving a bill from my electric company because they did not contact me for PTO, in order to turn my panels on and, with all of these delays post install, i ended up paying solar and eclectic bills in the same time frame. They claim to have been calling my cellphone but, the number they had on file was completely different so, i dont know whos fault that was but, it was definitely not on me therefore, i am confused how i still get charged for this companies lack of thoroughness. I call fastrac to speak with the head of their customer service department (Ikea Scott) and that right there was the icing on the cake. I was told verbally on a recorded line REAPEATEDLY that, I was going to be reimbursed. Well that was not the case. I have been back and forth with her since July 15th almost every Friday with the promise of them sending out a reimbursement check. All they have done is give me the run around, make empty promises, and damage their own reputation in my area as a solar installer. I mean seriously, when Ikea tried to claim she wasn't the one handling my claim and there was no record... that was the final straw. After 5 to 6 weeks of getting promised a check was being sent out and delivered on a Friday i finally ask directly "Ikea, will the check will be sent out on Friday ?" her initial response was yes which she then retracted and changed her answer to "I will try to get it done". Obviously that was a lie. i haven't got my reimbursement or contacted again from anyone in the office to resolve my issue and its been 3 months plus. I am not a happy customer.

Sara Jackson | Sanger, TX | 09/20/2022

RR

It took me 1 month to set up a RR for solar panels. I keep getting the run around after I had paid for the work. The customer service team needs to be retrained on their skills, very unprofessional, and unresponsive. If you have to use any service please stay away from this company. You are forced to use them to honor the warranty on your panels. So please use another company to purchase your panels. They removed the panels on a Thursday and was supposed to reinstall them on Tuesday. No one showed up on Tuesday to reinstall. I had to reach out to them on Tuesday to ask why no one showed up. Ashley stated they ran behind on a job yesterday and wouldn't be able to come out to me today. You would think they would have called me to tell me that on Monday. If I had not called them they would not have contacted me. That's what you call Great business practice. (JOKE)

Installation review

Fastrac techs were courteous, informative and prompt. They cleaned up well.

Rita | San Angelo, TX | 06/14/2022

My panel amount was increased but they didn't talk to me about the placement of the panels. They also did not inform me that I needed to call my energy provider to be put on an energy buyback program.

Jeremy | San Angelo, TX | 03/15/2022

Install

Unorganized problems with workers and materials. Materials were dropped off the Friday before unknowingly in my drive way and was not able to park both vehicles in my drive way ! Then the workers showed up Monday before we left to work and could of easily asked us to leave the gate open and show them the panel. They waited until we left to ring the doorbell and ask ! Then AEP contacted me saying that the installers left a breaker on that they were not supposed to have on and that it was double billing me!

Empty Promises and Shady Sales Practices

It started with a door to door salesman and they were super friendly and the deal sounded really great to have good savings on my electricity. I felt really pressured and I did end up signing up for it because it sounded like a good deal and if I'm being honest I was naïve. When we had to call to hear the automated terms the sales man lowered the volume of his cell phone so I couldn't hear the first part of the message, I should have stopped everything then and there but I was naïve and trusted them. Eventually things moved on and when it came to the install there was so little communication it was really frustrating, we didn't know when things were supposed to be delivered and we had no heads up until people just showed up at our door, expecting us to have a place to hold the supplies until the installers showed up, which we didn't know when they were going to show up. And when we did have a set time for people to show up they were never in the time frame they said (for example they said they would be there between 12 and 3 I had to call to ask where they were and they were and they showed up 2 hours later around 5-6) The install went okay for the panels itself, but we were promised that we would be getting a nest thermostat and LED light bulbs throughout the house but its been 3 months now and I ask them every week or so when we will be getting the thermostat installed and if they do answer they say they are working on getting it installed but I NEVER hear back. My electric bill has only really decreased by like 30 bucks which is really disappointing but I shouldn't have been so naïve and should have backed out in the very beginning. I regret working with this company.

UNPROFESSIONAL and won't respond

DO NOT even look into this company; it is a joke! I had David Chavez from Vivint solar (a 3rd party) introduce solar to me and my family. It sounded good; we were given a price (which was more than all the other solar companies) but it still seemed like a good deal (by everything we were offered). Fastrac was to be the solar panel provider, so we spoke with them ONE TIME to get details. We never signed ANYTHING that stated that we had to complete the whole solar deal. We were told that we could cancel at any time, even 3 days after the panels were up (at no extra charge) if we didn't like the work. We didn't even get that far! We had an inspection done, in to which we noticed our roof wasn't suitable to handle the panels. Still, we were told WE WERE NOT LIABLE TO PURCHASE ANYTHING! We informed Vivint and FASTRAC (because Fastrac was the solar company that was to install and handle things after Vivint takes their cut for drawing us in) that our home wasn't suitable for solar, at the moment. At the same time, we were also down with Covid, but informed them that we would consider them in the future. I kept it VERY professional with them, until now. It's now been over a month after we went through NOTHING with Fastrac, and all of a sudden I get a $2000.00 bill, for cancelation fees, by them. A cancelation fee? For what? I NEVER signed anything with Fastrac. I didn't sign the order with Oncor energy to proceed either. We simply were quoted a price from Vivint, for solar. THAT'S IT! I contacted Vivint and was ignored. I contacted Fastrac's account office about the invoice, and was ignored. I even contacted Naomi from Fastrac (in the Midland/Odessa area) TWICE and I have been ignored. I asked 2 people for a copy of what I supposedly signed, with a $2000.00 fee, and didn't get answered. Because I have a copy of what I signed for a quote, and it states NOTHING about a fee in it. They are the most unprofessional "team" to deal with. I will never reach out to Vivint or Fastrac in the future. I have warned my family and friends who were also trying to be suckered into this mess. If Fastrac would have solved my issue, or at least would have communicated, I probably wouldn't be ranting about their unprofessional business. It does not end here.

Great Customer Service

Fastrac offers great customer service and makes the installation process easy. From the customized design, to Fastrac handling all the details and scheduling of the installation, the process was easy and seamless.

Sales, Engineering, Install - Quality Service

I compared system with 4 installers. Mike was not a high pressure sales guy as opposed to the other 3 (buy today only to save tactic). Engineering configured my panels, got the permits. The install was supposed to include a probable power outage of 20-30 minutes. There wasn't a power outage. My next house will have Fastrac.

Solar Panels

I am very satisfied with all the process that was done through Frastrac to make the project of my solar panels a reality, I did nothing, Yessenia who was the person assigned to my account DID everything very quickly and always She was careful that I knew the steps that were followed and when she had questions, Yessenia was always there to help me with the answer. I recommend Fastrac for projects similar to mine.
