Quick and thorough process so far!

After getting some quotes, I decided to go with Boston Solar for my installation. Tom was great during our meeting and was quick to answer any questions I had. Once we signed the agreement, I was in contact with Meghan from the office, who coordinated everything (and answered some more questions). My panels were up in about 40 days after signing the agreement and my final inspection is tomorrow!

Professional Solar Installers

After reviewing several bids from various solar installers in the Greater Boston area I decided to go with Boston Solar for a rooftop solar installation at my house. Their price was competitive with the other installers and the panels they installed (lg360 q1c) were higher performing than the panels on offer from the other installers. The install process took a very long time - 3 or 4 months - but this process was in the middle of the SMART program initiation and my utility company was woefully behind as well as the typical permitting delays. My account manager stayed in good communication throughout and did everything she could to keep the process moving forward. Boston Solar particularly impressed me when, a month into the process, they discovered from a rooftop survey that tree cover had grown at my property. In order to maintain the rated power in the contract they added two additional panels to my array at no additional cost to me. You could go years and not notice the difference so Boston Solar really impressed me there with their commitment to installing an array capable of delivering the power they committed to. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Boston area!

Great experience with Boston Solar team

It was a great experience working with Boston Solar. Before the project started, they gave me the timeline and what to expect. The team was professional and knowledgable. The project manager was updating us throughout the project, and installation was done on-time. Sad part is .. I don't see that much sun after installing solar!.

Happy I went with Boston Solar

Met with several companies to discuss solar and decided Boston Solar was the best option. We met with Joey who was beyond helpful and provided detailed information of solar panels and the different options. It has been a smooth process from the moment we met with Joey until the completion of the job. Meghan, who seems to coordinate everything, was also always available and ready to answer any questions that we had. The equipment was installed in a timely manner. After the system was up in running we met with Tom who went over the system again and any questions we had. Overall great experience. My solar panels are producing tons of energy and I couldn't be happier.

Very knowledgeable and responsive, cares about the details

Boston Solar did a tremendous job explaining/educating me throughout the process. I did have the other highly rated companies come out. I found them lacking on expertise and unable to answer some of my questions. Boston Solar took the time during the bid process to take pictures on our roof to get an accurate estimate of what we could expect for yearly production. Others were not so thorough and while pricing was perhaps better with the others, in the end I was not convinced of their statements of system output or installation. Boston Solar did a great job installing and I really appreciated their attention to the finer details. Such as pre-painting the wood gray they used to mount the solar equipment on inside our basement. Communication was excellent during the whole process. Highly recommend.

Happy from start to finish

When I decided to go solar, I contacted several solar companies for quotes. More than one were not able to answer all my questions or defend their financial forecasts of return on investment. Boston Solar's sales pitch was low pressure and very informative. My salesman was able to easily answer all my questions in a way the left me no doubt of his technical knowledge of the system. This, combined with a good price/watt installed, convinced me to give them my business. The installation went very smoothly. The installers cared about my opinions on where wires and pipes were to be routed and we talked about every step before it started. This was important to me because we’ve all seen Frankenstein installs that look awful with no care to aesthetics (talking to you, Solar City and Sun Run). The workmen were also very personable, friendly, and took care to clean up any mess they made in the house. The project communication was also fantastic and I was never left wondering what the next step is and when it was supposed to happen. Solar is a big investment so I had high expectations and Boston Solar met them all. I would recommend them without hesitation.

We had Boston Solar assess our property and look into installing solar panels. They did shade testing, tested our roof, and showed us a full scale of our installation before committing to anything. They were very quick and responsive with everything and had the panels installed in just one day.

Amazing Company!

I was researching Solar Power for a long time and eventually stumbled on reviews of Boston Solar, I was happy with what I saw and I booked an appointment. I also booked appointments with other companies in the past and was not satisfied with them, however, with Boston Solar, everybody was straight forward, no scare tactics such as other companies tried to use on me. They took my power bills and drew up estimates based on them. The estimates looked very good so I went ahead and had the system installed. Now that the system is installed, I am very, very happy with them! I produce more energy on average than I use every day. Even on some partially cloudy days, production is more than usage, and it is winter! So my production should be 2/3's more during the summer. The quality of the install was very very good, being in IT, I like to be neat and clean with wire management, and these guys, while installing the Solar System and installing my new home power panel, did a very neat job. It actually looks really good on my house too! I literally have no complaints, they were quick, built the system very quick, and answered all my questions. I look forward to no power bills anymore, YAY!

Boston solar did a fine job with their service. Communication was great and the installation was done quickly and professionally. I would recommend them to anyone thinking about going solar. They will answer any and all of your questions.

Good Experience -- Would Recommend

From the salespeople, to the installers, to the customer experience coordinators, everyone at Boston Solar provided excellent communication to help guide me through the long and complex process of solar panel installation. I am happy with the overall quality and look of the panels. The whole process took longer than I expected, but in the end I'm not sure how much of this is due to Boston Solar vs. my local permitting office, the electric company, etc.

New to Solar!

This is the first time we went through a great solar install process. Other companies that came to explain to us didn't do a great job explaining the process but Boston Solar did. The representative was always there when we needed to ask him any questions. The install was easy as well. The incentives Boston Solar offers are also great! Overall very happy that we went to Boston Solar!

Complicated Process Made Easy

Considering how many applications, permits, approvals and other paperwork is necessary to get a solar roof, I was really glad Boston Solar was on the ball and got all the paperwork through without my having to do much more than sign in the right places. The sales crew is up front and able to answer any question. The whole install crew was professional and knowledgeable. We had a hiccup when the inspector couldn't bring up the system but Stefan, our project coordinator, always kept us in the loop and answered queries quickly. The install quality is excellent. I would highly recommend Boston Solar. I only wish National Grid would install the Smart Meters.

Excellent incentives

After researching multiple companies and looking at leasing vs. purchasing, Boston Solar proved to be the best choice for us. Their sales rep, Sean O'Sullivan, walked us through all of the incentives that we qualified for that made purchasing our rig through a Mass Solar Loan a no brainer. Because of how our finances worked out, the only way we would be able to pull this off was to have our panels installed by the end of 2018. Luckily Boston Solar was offering a guarantee that if we signed our contract by the end of October, they would install the rig by the end of the year and they got it done for us on December 31st!

After a ton of research my husband and I decided to go with Boston Solar out of Woburn Massachusetts. Being A senior citizen I was a little nervous to go forward with such a large project. However , Boston Solar was with us every step of the way from the start to completion. We were always in formed about each step and all of our questions were answered in a timely manner. This is why we have given a five star review. So if you were interested in going solar give them a call you will be happy you did.

Great experience

In 2018 I had Boston Solar install a 13 kilowatt solar PV system on a 6 family home in Leominster. In general from beginning to end it was probably the best experience I've ever had Contracting a company! In 2017 I had solar panels installed on a three family home in Westborough (which were installed by a different Solar Company).While this experience was overall okay, after I had Boston Solar finish I understood there was a clear difference. Boston Solar salesman, and especially the project manager, Mali, were exceptional. Being a 6 family home made the project more complicated compared to a single family or even a 3 family. She understood the process inside and out, and was able to explain and walk me through everything.

Solar install

I shopped around and choose Boston Solar. The panels were better, price was better and they knew more about Massachusetts Solar incentives than other companies that are based out of states. The only work I had to do is get the loan, after that Boston Solar took control and did everything else. The process did take a couple months but it went smoothly and quick. Once the loan was complete installation happened days later. The crew was very polite and respectful. The Customer Coordinators were very quick to respond to any questions and provided explanations/updates throughout the process. The system is up and running with no issues. I am happy I choose Boston Solar.

After Christmas Install

The team at Boston Solar offer a great service and total package. The communication level is the perfect amount throughout the entire process. They offer a system with great value, with competitive price per kilowatt. They also give honest and candid advice regarding battery backup systems and do not try to up sell you at all. The only minor hiccup was the installation was originally scheduled the day after Christmas, but had to be pushed back a day. However, the crew still completed the entire task before the end of the year. Overall, I would highly recommend Boston Solar as a solar installer.

Easy process and well communicated

We received quotes from several solar companies. Boston Solar was able to guarantee an installation timeline. I also appreciated that the sales personnel was not pushy but was also responsive. The other companies I had quotes from either called me every other day to see if we had decided (mostly during times I was in meetings) or were unresponsive for well over a week. They were also easy to talk through options since while getting the system priced and quoted we were in the process of purchasing an electric vehicle. While I don't think with the EV our system will cover all our energy consumption for the year it'll certain help significantly. In a few years if we decide we want to produce more energy at home to hopefully net to zero then we would go with Boston Solar again.
