Affordable Solar Roof & Air

Got a 15 panel system installed by Affordable Solar. Installers did a great job and all the wiring/ electrical work was to my standard. Angel F made herself available and stayed on top of the project. I sized the system conservatively but after a couple years if I start using The AC and pool heater more frequently.

No more bill

A 14 panel system was installed by Affordable Solar to help cover our bills when we’re down in Florida. Easy company to work with and they have a good crew of installers that made the system look great on the back side of the house. Happy to recommend.

Already saving

My wife and I started looking into Solar a few months after hurricane season last year, we hoped to find ways to save a little extra money as well. The solar system has been saving us a few hundred every month between our usual bill and the loan payment. Easy enough installation process and we never had to stress throughout.

Excellent service

Their installers were super efficient, we thought for sure it would take several days to get all 37 panels up. Overall time line was around 2 and a half months which was what Agon promised us. Agon was incredibly knowledge and a straight shooter. We had three salesman come over a few months and none compared to Agon, would highly recommend anybody to work with him and Affordable Solar Roof & Air. If you want the peace of mind that any call or concern you have will be answered.

Roof and solar after hurricane

Affordable Solar did both my roof and I decided to add panels as a bundle. The hurricane hit our roof hard & I figured choosing a company that did both roofing and solar would be a good move. Bundling both proved to save us thousands. Interconnection process and wagging on the meter swap was the only slow part of my install. The numbers made sense and the tax credits added a big push, excited to drop my electric bill by a couple hundred on top of the new roof. They quoted me about 3-4 months to get both done and we’re here turning it on right around the 3 month mark.

We had Tesla inverters for about a year and decided to upgrade our system to a battery backup system. A generator proved to be insufficient last storm because we couldn't find gas anywhere! It was an easy process to add the Franklin battery system from Affordable.

My community is a new build and half the neighborhood is still being developed. I decided to look into Solar and Affordable reached out with a quote. Max came out and broke down all the costs and benefits. Many neighbors were waiting to see how my project went, I’m happy to point them in Affordable’s direction.

Strong work ethic from their install crew. Very impressed they were able to get 34 panels up in this summer heat & not need to come back to fix anything after inspection. My neighbor installed solar panels with a battery system about a year ago. I gave it some time to see if it truly brought his bills down. He’s been happy so I met up with Peter from Affordable Solar and learned about the different systems. I decided it was the right move for us and I’ve been happy so far. Excellent communication from the office & I was always able to get ahold of someone to answer questions. I plan on adding a battery system down the road if all goes well with my production the next year or so.

Powerwall 3

After the hurricane last year we knew it would be smart to invest in solar energy in case we lost the grid for a while again. Everybody around us has generators for outages but if everyone races to the gas station what good is a generator! The Tesla Powerwall 3 gives you the most bang for your buck and the app was easy to understand. Being out in the country it’s always good to have backups and be self sufficient, I’m happy I worked with Affordable Solar to get my battery system.

Michael came out from affordable solar roof air and did a good job explaining our system to us and how it operates and what to look for on the app, Lee my sales rep did a good job taking care of me and my needs of what I expected from a company. I reached out to numerous other companies that didn’t meet my expectations like affordable did.

I found this company as the #1 In Texas for solar panel reviews, My solar consultant was Ken he was amazing he was great, I was between this company and another company after few conversations I decided to go with Affordable, on March 24 i signed the contract during the conversations one of my comments/Concerns was that I would sign n contract and they would forget about me and not follow along with process or questions I had , but They were on top of things during the permits. April 1st Ken called me and told me the permit’s were Submitted. Liz from the permit department was great she kept me updated with the process, she texted me and told me city permits were approved we only need my HOA permit to move on to the installation process My HOA reach out ask if the Solar company does a roof inspection it was a question I didn’t ask so I had to reach out to Ken which I did and it was Sunday at 7:00 PM and I called Ken and he answer! I wasn’t expecting him to answer my call on a Sunday but he did! He helped me out with the answer . On April 30 I received a call from the project manager to schedule the installation due to work I had to schedule it 2 weeks from that day so it was schedule may 13 They told me a day earlier they would come and drop the equipment and they did May 12 I received the equipment. On may 13 the guys came and did the installation super profesional and quick great job. On May 28 I received an email to sign a form so I can get the PTO (Permission to Operate) I was not in town and I sign it on June 4th and I got the PTO I had to call the company to let them know, not sure how they would not find out? But I called them so we can schedule the time for someone to come and turn on the system and assist me with downloading the apps on June 12 I called and they told me someone will call me I finally got the PTO someone came and “turn on the system” it was already on and provided me with video from YouTube on more in detail videos of how my powerwall 3 works (not their videos) it was from another YouTube channel and just send me the link to different type of plans for me to change but didn’t help me with “switching” like they said they were going to help me all they did is send me link to compare plans which I had no issue since I was familiar with the plans. Michael came out from affordable and did a fantastic job at going over our new power wall 3, everything before that paper work, permits, installation, etc was very smooth. It’s incredible how much the system can produce. It’s exciting being able to actively see it.

The system was turned n right around the two month mark just like they promised. I appreciate that they let me have a say when deciding the layout of the panels, I decided it would be best to keep all the panels on the back side of the house for curb appeal purposes. We didn’t lose nearly any output from the panels but I’m much happier with the look! Dan was a great salesman and checked I with me at least once a week to let me know what stage of the project I was on.

Pleased with the results

Working with Affordable solar felt very easy, definitely was a positive experience, we got delayed from our county on permitting one time and after that the whole thing was smooth. We were happy with how quick our rep communicated with us, the office was just as with any paper work or documents we needed, the last step was also very easy getting it turned on they had someone come out and explain everything to us and setup an app so we’re able to monitor the systems production and functionality. Would say it was a pleasant experience especially with something this big. We feel happy with our decision to switch to solar it’s been great and our energy bill is next to nothing.

We got referred by our neighbors who worked with Angel F from Affordable. We were very impressed with her presentation and friendliness. Everyone we were in contact with has been super helpful and knew their stuff. We have already put two more neighbors in touch with Angel so they can save too. There have been quite a few solar companies that come around and a good portion of our neighbors have been installing panels. Lots of them rave about how much money they’ve been able to save and overall are very happy they made the switch. I talked to at least 5 neighbors in our community that worked with Affordable Solar Roof & Air, some as far back as 3 years ago. Their systems have been maintained with no issues and the production is what they expected. Happy to report the same for me and would gladly recommend this company.
