Affordable Solar Roof & Air

We put our solar system in a year ago and due to hail storm and damage to our roof. I’ve been trying to reach the company to have somebody come and evaluate my roof and the panel specifically. Every phone number that they list on their websites are dead numbers. The only person I’ve been able to reach is the sales guy who says that they are still in business but because of the big beautiful Bill they have to make all of the solar panels in America and they used to come from China, so they’re retooling the company, but they’re still servicing their customers yet they have not communicated with their customers how to reach them. This is very frustrating, especially for those of us who have had problems with the panels and specifically the app.

My experience has been a mixed bag. Sales were beautiful, installation a dream. Three months in my system began having issues. They scheduled a vist within 48hr… all seemed too good to be true. IT WAS. Gavin didn’t make nor cancel our appointment. After I wrote asking what happened he responded that he’d be in the next day and gave us a time window. He came two hours before the window (and I wasn’t home), he then said the system needed an electrician and that they would be scheduled. By then my system had been down for a week. It’s now been over a month, the electrician never came, I call and the 1800 number goes on loop and no one ever answers, the numbers I had for people (Kamel, Gavin) seem to be disconnected. Did this company scam me?

Michael came out from affordable and got us all set up on the Qcell app, he made it an easy experience and explained everything in full detail for us to know how to look and maintain our system. The system it’s self is very simple and was easy getting it with this company.

Getting solar with affordable was a pretty easy experience, they maintained constant communication with us and the installers were clean and professional, the tech was helpful in system knowledge and functionality. The price was comparable to other companies that gave us quotes.

This company isn't worth the hassle! Save your money or get your solar somewhere else. The people they have working for them don't know their butt from a hole in the wall, they never installed the equipment correctly, destroyed our roof, blew out our home generator, won't ever return calls for service. We have never successfully generated much electricity at all, much less the amount they promised. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

Getting solar was super easy, affordable took the hard part out of it and we felt very confident going into this project that it would be successful. The system has already proven its self and is working great. My neighbors ask me all the time about it and I don’t have anything bad to say it is doing exactly what we were promised.

Easy process getting everything powered on and setting up the app. We were hoping to get everything going before Christmas and it was finished by December 4th! Smooth and didn’t have any headaches.

The sales rep, the staff, the technicians that came to install were very professional. They explained the process step by step. Being new to solar it’s a little daunting, but everything was explained and handled with care.

We finally made the switch to solar energy after doing our research on the best options, we landed on affordable after reading and hearing good things about them, I can confirm it was the same way for us and we are glad we dealt with them, they took a lot of the hard work out of it and made it easy for us while maintaining communication through out the whole journey. Michael was responsive and helpful in the setup and startup of our Qcell app, Max was just as responsive after selling us the system and letting us know where we were at along the way

I'm having EXTREMELY BAD experience with this company. Contract for solar installation was signed in May with 90 days Installation timeline and get it up and running. They have sent multiple electricians and installation took more than two weeks. They were NOT aware of Frisco City code and FAILED Inspection. They are taking long to correct those code violations and still not corrected.... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Very happy with the communication from Peter my sales rep & everyone in the office. The process was easy to get my system installed and all together took under two months. Installation crew left a little debris/ pvc piping in the back but other than that they did a great job putting the panels in.

Affordable was amazing through out the whole way getting me setup with a new solar system. Tony my sales rep was helpful, Michael came by and showed me everything I need to know about my system.

In April 2024, I was sold an Enphase system which included a bidirectional charger. My main goal was to eliminate the need for a generator in the event of a prolonged hurricane power outage. They installed the system with solar panels, 3 batteries and an EV charger. I did research on the EV charger and found out that not only was this not a bidirectional charger but that the bidirectional charger that they sold me did not exist and still does not exist. The last technician that came to my house in June told me that if I added another battery to my system, that at least I could control what I run off the batteries in a power outage. We had 3 hurricanes hit Naples in 2024 and we could only run lights, wifi and refrigerator; no AC. AC was the reason I purchased the system. I tried to purchase a $6000 battery and after months of no call backs ,I finally got a quote of $13,000 which I thought was rediculous. I then posted a 1 star review on Google and their reply on google was to say that I was trying to blackmail them and I was the worst kind of customer to them. I was one of those evil customers that wanted my issues resolved. There is much more to this saga but I won't bore you. All I have to say is buyer BEWARE.

Install was on my schedule with great service. The installers were professional and took great pride in the job they were doing for us. They were careful respectful of our property and clean up was fantastic Would I recommend them? Absolutely!!

Appreciate my salesman Jon Holland staying on the ball to keep my project as speedy as possible. He always updated our statuses and made sure documents were sent when needed. Their price for 15 panels was more than fair & I liked that they had a long history of business in the Tampa Bay Area.

Got two tesla plwerwall 3s installed, very happy with the proce and installation experience.

It has declined so much since I first dealt with them. I have 2 systems with them, and I presented a concern/issue that i wanted to get looked at, also they have not finished the work it was promised, and I have sent several emails and still being ignored. They only think about the money, once the finance goes through, they forget about you. Don't use them.

I was away for most of the project for work. Easy to stay in the loop with Agon my representative. The price was too good pass up as well, especially with the credit running out. Excellent working with Affordable and appreciate I didn’t have to constantly check up, I got 32 Q cell panels paired to an Enphase Inverter.

Peter my sales representative made sure to walk me through the process, we was fair and also knowledgeable in getting me the correct system size for my home. I’m happy with the actual install crew they were friendly and fast. The whole process all around took a little over a month from the day I signed to system running. I’m impressed with them.

Highly recommend going with ASRA if you want a fast smooth process for getting setup with solar panels. My experience was great and they did a lot of the work for me to make is a less stressful as possible.

Peter Haack was wonderful to work with. We settled on 16 panels which was enough to cover my usage all year. I'm happy I still get a paper bill from the power company each month because I'm used to that rather than bothering with apps.

All the data and information available can be very overwhelming for someone not too tech savvy. I appreciate Spencer coming out and helping us understand what everything meant after a week of data for us to look at. It’s all a lot more manageable now and I know what to look for to make the most of our Powerwall!

Got a 15 panel system installed by Affordable Solar. Installers did a great job and all the wiring/ electrical work was to my standard. Angel F made herself available and stayed on top of the project. I sized the system conservatively but after a couple years if I start using The AC and pool heater more frequently.

The process was super straightforward, no hassle, they gave an upfront price that was competitive to other quotes we had and they had us setup in a little over a month and half, we were impressed with the customer service and responsiveness from our sales rep before and after the sale, the crew was amazing. A 14 panel system was installed by Affordable Solar to help cover our bills when we’re down in Florida. Easy company to work with and they have a good crew of installers that made the system look great on the back side of the house. Happy to recommend.
