Startup mPower has launched a new Indiegogo campaign for its line of mobile solar power generators. The company’s campaign is aimed at giving people a chance to buy a solar generator and to send another generator to a family in need in a developing nation through its “Buy1—Donate 1” campaign. The company plans to deliver 5,000 devices in 2017 with the help of an ambasador.
“We are excited for the official launch of our revolutionary solar products and doing business focused on good purpose,” said Will Perego, CEO of mPower Solar Generator. “The Indiegogo campaign and ambassador search are vital in supporting our ‘Buy 1—Donate 1’ business model and our mission to provide clean solar energy on a global level. Customers can now buy the lightest and most powerful solar generator on the market to power their outdoor activities or their next blackout while, at no extra cost, helping families in need.”
The mPower system is an integrated solar generator that brings all parts of a solar system together into one package. It has solar panels as well as a battery, an inverter and outlets. Integrating all the aspects of solar power into one device makes it easier for people to use the power easily.
The company is offering three different portable solar systems, the M6, M12, and M24. All of the devices have two USB ports and 12 volt DC ports. The larger two, the M12 and M24, include two 120 volt outlets.
While it’s great to have a solar generator at one’s disposal for family outings or camping trips, having access to electricity in developing nations can be life-changing. Hence mPower has partnered with Techo.org to help put the solar generators in the hands of families in developing nations.
The company also launched the “Travel with Purpose—Help Us Light Up the World” challenge. The company is looking for an ambassador who will represent the mPower brand in 2017. The ambassador will travel with mPower and techo.org for a year on a salaried position.
