Bad news - but, got lucky!

We did a ground mount system and thought Zenernet was the company to do it..! Signed papers to start work in April of 2021. System was finally turned on in July 2022. Poor communication, false promises, and horrible installation crew. Just got a letter in the mail today that they filed for bankruptcy. Hope we don’t have any warranty issue since they’re gone… but, after reading the reviews, happy that our system is up a running. I’m sorry to hear that so many people got screwed by this company that had rave reviews 3 years ago. Amazing to see and hear how things change so quickly. Good luck to everybody that has been affected - that is a bummer to hear.

Took our money and didn't provide anything

In my mind, these people are crooks. They took our deposit and about a 70% payment and then disappeared. They repeated told us there were problems with the permits, and that was the reason for not installing the system that WE PAID FOR! We filed a complaint with the AZ BBB and the AZ Register of Contractors. At this point, I see no hope for this.

took our money and did nothing.

Zenernet took our payment for installing new solar panels on our home. Now we are unable to contact them through email or phone. Apparently we have lost over $13,000! Very upset. I would give them zero stars if I could.

company gone bad

I started working with Zenernet in 2021 and installation was in June 2022. At the beginning I had one contact person and my calls were always answered timely. As things moved on the customer service became very poor. My system got installed but had problems with Excel Energy and tried to contact Zenernet for help. Unable to contact an inernet search shows Zenernet quietly closed its doors end of October 2022. https://www.leafscore.com › blog › zenernet-closes-its-doors-abandons-customers I have contacted AZ and CO Attorney General's offices.

We paid >$35,000 for a solar and backup generator system. The system was never installed. Now they won't return phone calls or emails and appear to have closed permanently.

Never showed up for installation

Zenernet took 14,573.60 of our money and gave us an installation date. Never showed up. Never returned phone calls. This is the biggest theft of our money. This is such a robbery of our trust in this company.

Completely ignores contact and fails to finish job

Signed the contract with Zenernet for solar PV only on 6/7/22. Despite two scheduling mishaps on their part where they didn't notify met at all until a fully day after they missed their appointment, they finally installed the system on 8/18/22. Final inspection occurred on 10/14/22. So far, things were rocky, but they got the job done. Everything went downhill after the final inspection occurred. They said that the system was up and running, connected to the electrical grid, but my electrical bill doesn't reflect that. They promised someone would follow up with me to wrap up the entire project and help me access their homeowner portal to see my solar production. After no contact from them, I began contacting them on 10/26/22. Every few days, I would escalate and include more people from their company who had worked on my project--sales, project managers, and installers. Eventually I forwarded my email to 8 staff members who had all previously contacted me and worked with me. No one has responded, even to this day. On 11/7/22, the CEO sends a customer-wide email saying that they're having trouble keeping up with the volume and we should email a generic customer service email, which they promise is being monitored. Of course, after I've emailed that address, no one has responded to this day. No one has any courtesy or respect to even tell me that they're backlogged and when I can expect a response. They've simply ignored all my contact attempts. Even worse is my neighbor who I referred to Zenernet. They stopped contacting him after their house visit and now they're approaching the promised 60-days of installation. Similar to me, my neighbors have received no word from Zenernet. Zenernet took their payment and now is failing to even contact the customer to plan the next step.

Very poor company

The sales and signing contract was fast to get your business. Other than that: 1. Design plan was poor - misspell everywhere 2. Installation - very poor craftmanship. For example, lack of conduit support on the roof, wire touching the roof, did not patch the wall, rubber seal washer was installed out of order 3. Support - they went radio silence after all that. 4. I got a mechanics lien on my house from their supplier 5. During inspection, the contract left. Did not stay to host the inspector - very unprofessional.

Zenernet is out of business

I agree with the low rankings. I think it's safe to say that zenernet, like many companies in the exploding solar industry, had significant problems with scaling. I'm a management and business consultant, so peer through the blinds to see the source of their struggles. They established an operating model that looks good on paper but requires a highly accountable, collaborative, team-based culture to implement. I'm also a customer, and it's a fact that they only reason I've gotten to partial installation after 10 months is because I have been project managing it. Zenernet made mistake after mistake. An engineering culture that is losing touch with a winning customer experience. Predictable potholes. Systemic problems. An unaccountable culture. Sadly, now they are out of business. Not sure how I'm going to get my project completed.

I want Ravi on my Project !!

After reading most of the comments and experiencing the same issues as everyone else - (no calls or emails back, ghosted constantly, numerous project managers that know and do nothing, delay after delay after delay..) As some others did, I contacted the CEO as well - got an email back with a response that he would look into it and have my project done by the end of the next month... Over a year and still waiting - All I have to show for anything is the spray-paint marks from the utilities that came out to 'mark' their lines... I don't understand, when I looked them up initially in August of '21 - they had great reviews!! What happened?? Did they write their own reviews?? You go to linked-in and the CEO has great comments about how dedicated and driven he is and took Zenernet from zero to Multi-Million dollar company that was on the rise... I don't know Ravi, but reading the past reviews - it looks like he knows what he is doing with great reviews... To bad they didn't clone him... Now all my known contacts are no longer there - I get a generic email from the general office that they will respond to my email as quickly as they can...

Zenernet customer service is not responding to an incomplete job

I began discussing a system for my home with Znernet back in April. The sale person was always attentive, constantly calling, emailing and reminding me to sign the document. Once the contract is signed and another team takes over, things started to drop off. Zenernet outsources installation to a third party who had no experience working with tile roof. They ended up breaking tiles on my roof on the installation day. Took Zenernet a couple weeks to send out their own crew. They ended up not completing the installation and ran short of tiles to replace the ones broken by previous team. Took them a couple more weeks to find replacement tiles, but that's was still not enough and they left leaving my rood with pockets opened without tile covering. Just so happened there was rain on one of the day and I was practically begging them to fix it. Zenernet scheduled for an inspection with PG&E and told me the tiles won't be ready until the inspection day. On the inspection day, they patched the roof, but PG&E fail the inspection. The crew left and did not mention what fail and why or when is the next scheduled inspection date. They said customer service rep will get back to me. It has been over two weeks and I still have not received any call from them . I left Zenernet reps email after email, calling them is not working as they don't pick up the phone. Any attempt at calling them is met with an automatic answering machine. I tried their main sale number, after entering my zipcode, the answering machine now replied Zenernet does not operate in my area anymore and suggest I contact consumer affairs to find a solar energy partner...Needless to say I am speechless. The sale person emailed me earlier during the contract phase and said the first six month of payment would be free (I still have the email). Shortly thereafter the loan was sold to another company and they want me to make the first payment this month, meanwhile the work and inspection is not yet done. The project started at the beginning of April this year, it's now beginning of November and the system is not yet up working for me. Zenernet claimed they left it on, but I have no way of knowing since they refused to release the app for me to monitor it. I took a chance with Zenernet after reading bad reviews from other companies, turns out I am now caught in the same predicament with many other reviewers here. I am really desperate at this point and I don't know where to turn...

Solar still not installed. Zenernet employees ghosting

I have never dealt with such an awful company. Our solar is still not installed. Broken roof tiles. Awful contractors. Panels all on the side of the house after being installed and then removed because the first contractor installed all of them wrong. None of my contacts at Zenernet are available (or still employed). I now have a loan company demanding money from the loan we signed and I have nothing to show for it but beat up solar panels on the side of my house! Zenernet is the worst.

Terrible customer service, left stranded. Still in business?

We signed our contract with Zenernet July 2022. The level of knowledge of the various project managers and the communication, throughout the process, has been incredibly bad. The engineering and planning team did not understand California codes for panel setbacks for flat roofs. We had to go to our local building department, obtain the code and send it to Zenernet engineering and planning. It took roughly a month to get final drawings complete with numerous texts, emails and calls, continuously chasing down the various project managers involved in multiple hand offs The initial installation date, the wrong equipment was sent, then we waited two more weeks for another installation date. Finally, after a ton of followup on our part, the equipment was installed and inspection was set for two weeks later. Inspection day came on October 21st and the installation subcontractor was supposed to arrive at 8:00 am to prepare the equipment for inspection. They did not show. Finally the inspection time came around at 12:45 pm and the installation subcontractor still had not shown up. We tried several times to get in touch with Zenernet customer service, our sales consultant and every number at Zenernet that we could find, as the inspector told us he would come back if we could get the installer to show up. No response. We have been calling, texting and emailing Zenernet every day since. No response. We have been searching the internet to see if Zenernet has closed their doors. We saw on Glassdoor a posting that Zenernet let their sales team go October 19. Their office voicemail is so full, it is no longer taking calls. At this point we have good reason to believe that Zenernet has quietly closed their doors abandoning all of their customers. We are retired and were relying on lower electric costs ongoing and the tax credit for 2022. At this point we believe are stranded and need to try to find another solar provider to help us to go forward.

Zero stars

We are going on 18 months with this project and the company is ghosting us and a bunch of other people. What are they good at? Lying and pushing out and pushing out the project. Horrible follow-up, a new project manager every month. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS BUSINESS. The sales guy BW was slick and came across as credible to my husband but not me. Now we are trying to figure out how to get the system running. Of course it means more money out of our pocket.

Don’t Fall for this Scam!

We had the great misfortune of meeting Ravi Thomas, a salesperson with Zenernet. He presents himself as trusting and caring guy who is very accommodating, tell you they install within 60 days or pay your PGE bill. Well when you can’t reach anyone this becomes void. Please don’t be fooled by this as he will play this role until after you pay your second and largest installation deposit, for us it was $10k plus the initial deposit of $1k which is suppose to be transferred from your bank account, fishy? Cause it is. Then shortly after you will not hear anything from him, he literally will ignore your messages after he asks you to give him a good review first of course because he knows he won’t get it later also which is obviously why they have any because no one knows what they’re getting into after that fabulous fake sales experience. They will have a “planner” do a layout based on your photos, and everything will seem good until after this point, why? Because this is when you sign the agreement and pay your largest deposit. You will receive a permit which will expire in about a year. Then there’s the so called Project Managers, who knows what they really do but it’s not much. I was assigned Christina Yanez, after her introduction and after paying the large deposit she ignored my messages to find out when the solar panels would be installed. She finally told me there is a shortage of materials which was never mentioned in the agreement and I believe it was a lie. After this I have sent several emails and phone calls to the four people I dealt with and not one replied. I even called the owner/CEO Mr. Gerkin, no response. It has been 66 days and no date for install or replies, I believe that once they get that large deposit from you then they disappear and never intend to install anything. If I could give negative stars I would. Red flags are that they only want you to pay from your bank account so you have no protection. They ask for the largest sum before any work is done. We have reported them to the BBB and will continues to report them until we get the money back that they stole. I honestly don’t know how they live with themselves cheating people. Please avoid at all cost or it will cost you.
