My solar broker down on the weekend Caused My breaker box to burn I called customer service the said the will send someone I 7-10 business days lol funny the don’t care about there customers life or anything I don’t recommend sunrun to anyone

Horrible customer service experience!!

We lease solar from sun run. We have been trying to get sun run to come out and temporarily remove the solar for us so we can have our rook repaired due to storm damage. I have signed all docs they require and been calling customer svc for 7 days now. No help at all and all we get is the run around!! No one either answers the phone or returns our calls and if they do they give us incorrect info to get us off phone. Horrible experience and will NEVER do Solar again!!! Buyer beware!

Worst customer support

Had my solar panels installed in November of 2020. To date, July 26, 2021 they are still not connected to the grid. They have been sitting on my roof for almost 9 months and nobody can tell me why. I have called 8 times to inquire on the status and all I get is we will set up a case number to review your account. A Vivint representative was in the neighborhood so I had him look at the set up. He said everything was on. At this point I want the panels remove, shouldn’t be this hard to get an answer. I’m all for cost savings and doing what’s right for the environment but it will just be with another solar company.

This service is very, very,very unprofessional!!!! I’m not recommending this to anyone!! Don’t believe people who are selling the solar! Please!We canceled the service and they were still coming and tried to put the panels. And in few days after they want to move fuse box. They are insane! Very annoying!

Slower than molasses going uphill

Absolutely the worst. Slower than a turtle in peanut butter. Took FOREVER to get these idiots to remove our panels for a roof replacement. They ended up subbing the work to someone else because they can't handle their own business. Cannot wait to get out of my lease!!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE

If I could give SunRun negative stars I would. They treated us horribly. It started when they promised to finance our panels up until the day they were installed. Once they were on the roof they told us they would NOT finance them and told us we had to find an alternative. Many banks won't finance panels if you are renting and not buying. We were given no reason why they decided not to finance our panels - we have excellent credit and had just purchased a $600,000 house in San Diego. When we sold the house, we had to buy the panels outright as a contingency of the sale. SunRun made that process far more difficult than it needed to be- they don't answer the phone, they don't respond to emails, and they don't return calls. The sale of our house was actually delayed due to their negligence. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! There are plenty of other solar companies.

Worst customer service ever. Open permit on install

Open install permit for 5 years. Never got back to me on my refi. Cost me money. Try to call them constantly they lie about supervisor calling. Nobody EVER calls back or shows up. Yet they call for sakes or more panels and lie about getting me help on permit and C/O.

This has been a terrible experience and I wish I never engaged with this company and I recommend you run for the hills

Con Artists

Solar panels were installed on the home less then 3 years ago. Prior to installation an inspection of the roof was done (supposedly). We bought the home with the information that the panels being installed in that short a time span there is supposed to be a 5-7 year expected useful life on the roof. Currently the roof is soft, leaking, and needs to be stripped to the rafters and rebuilt. We called SunRun to remove / reinstall the panels so we can have the work done, they want to charge another almost $5K to do this. They were installed LESS than 3 years ago, but are sure the roof was fine when they looked at it. I think they put panels on an old roof on purpose to force you to have to come back and pay them. Between the cost of the panels and now this, it will take 5-7 years before we even re-coop our initial investment let alone see a break on our monthly bills. Its a scam.

Roof Damage

After initial installation they cause 3 leaks in my roof. It took 2 months for them to come and repair the damage. Months later the same leak appeared and I’m now in an argument to repair the leak. My system also does not produce what they say it would so every year the have to send me a check for the lost production. Which is at a significantly lower rate than the amount I’m paying for it from the electric company. All around this company has a sun standard product and somehow worse customer service.

Avoid Sunrun all the way around

This will be the 3rd meter installed The orignial install the install crew broke my attic crawl hole sheetrock and just left it in the middle of my hall way First rain go figure entire halway ceiling stained up Set a "technician" whom whent up on the roof with some caulking and banged around on leak! However technician stated "He didnt see anything" Now here we go again called mid june as just happened to look at app and noticed i have no power for a week or so went out side to see "Missing Grid" and trouble light of core call customer care as we are in a 107degree heatwave and my local utility charges me .49 per kw my contract with sunrun is .19 per kw "we will send a technician sir earliest appointment is 2 weeks+" ok fine not a problum tech comes out "o well you have a bad meter and the breaker is bad as well it keeps tripping i dont have one on my truck ill be back to replace OUR breaker" tech leaves and well needless to say im tripping breakers everyday 3 times a day once when to reset breaker and it was an active electrical short in my breaker/electrical panal sounding like sparks shooting out Immediately called customer care and notifed them the tech never showed up and this is dangerous Ive had an electrial fire surface in my daughters room before betwwen floors and sunrun is now putting my family and home at risk customer care stated earlest a technician appointment was over 2 weeks again as he was reading the notes on the screen to me claiming the breaker failed he never showed back up to fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did i mention the electric bill i just recieved was over $700 as i have no solar @ $.19 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive been tripping the breker 3 times if not more dialy if it arks again i will need to call the Fire Department and Insurance Company As This System is OWNED by SUNRUN! Dont risk the poor customer service dont waist your hour on the phone At this point i will need to hire a real licenced 3rd party electrican to inspect my electrial panal to make sure i have no permanant damage to the power bars located inside sunrun even left my electail panel itself when they did the orignial installation torn apart so every time you ope it the metal cover drops to the ground exposing all of the electrial wires and breakers inside never put any screws in it or lost the orignials ones the door is even bent on the panel because the metal plate never is in place! all the way around fire hazard i wish i never let these ppl on the property with there sales pitch im sure the response to this review will be "please contact customer care" sorry i dont have another hour to waist of my life on the phone the fire department is a 2 minute phonecall a real electrican is a 10

Piss poor customer service

Broken inverter for 7 weeks. Told it would take 2 weeks. Called multiple times. Left multiple messages. Spoke to several people who told me they would call me back with a resolution. Heard nothing. Company is terrible

Avoid Sunrun, Inc at all costs!

I would rate them a zero star if that were an option. I've been with Sunrun since 2014. I was told during the initial process that Sunrun would monitor my system. In 7 years, that has happened one time. I'm always the one seeing alarm codes on my inverter box and I'm the one contacting Sunrun to report the problem. Apparently, there was a manufacturer recall on my panels and I've been without solar since May 25, 2021. It's summertime here in the high desert and we've had back to back excessive heat warnings for weeks now. So, I'm making payments on a loan for a product that doesn't work AND I'm having to pay a very high electric bill. I'm not sure when, if ever, my system will be replaced. I've called, emailed, called again, and nothing. I am basically paying for roof decor at this point. I wanted to go solar to do my part in saving the planet and right now I'm basically paying for roof decor.

It took over 4 months for Sun Run to change the name on my account. Every email I sent I received and automatic reply stating I would hear back in 24 hours at the most. Months later they would reply asking for the information I sent in the original email and then not get back to me for weeks. Calling doesn't help because they say you have to email. When calling their automated system states the wait time is "Zero" minutes but no one picks up. When they installed my system 8 years ago I asked for more panels than recommended because I had two toddlers and I knew with age our demand would go up. I currently pay $1500 to the electrical company a year because I don't have enough panels for our demand.

Bought a home that had solar pannels. Each month the bill goes up and down depending how much you use the solar system BULLSHIT. I had SONOVA in my previous home also in Palmdale CA the bill each month was the same it was locked at $126 and always got a nice check at the end of the year so the solar system basically paid it self. This company VIVINT Solar are theives everytime I call its an Indian person that do not speak proper English. I don't know what to do to cancel there contract because its redicoulously over priced.

Worst customer service ever

We had an issue with our roof and needed 4 panels removed. Sunrun agreed to remove and reinstall. They removed them. I have been calling for 6 weeks and no one is coming to reinstall. They always say they will call back and never do

Don't use them! I would give -10 stars if it was a option

Crooks, once they get you signed up they no longer care. My system under produced for 10 out of 12 months. I waited for a no show tech on 3 different occasions. I was paying over $300 in electricity bills on top of $180 sunrun bill for 4 months. There solution? $120 one time credit. Rude representatives, no help and a big fat waste of money.

Expensive, my monthly cost to Vivint is almost $200.

I had Vivint on my previous home, it was very reasonable. They installed 14 panels at first. I asked for more, they installed 15 more. I now receive two bills a month. One for each system. Very very high. June bills were 116.46 and 79.50. I always recommended them, not anymore.

zero customer service

first off if i wasnt home at the time of installation they would've just left it as a complete mess with the conduit line hanging inches off the side of my house. i told the installation team to do it the right was and they were butthurt and very rude (very unprofessional). my project coordinator is non-existent and doesn't know anything regarding my project and unable to contact him at all. they have been a problem from the beginning and nobody there knows anything to be honest.. would not recommend at all

High solar bills!

After 4 month of installment of the solar,my vivint solar bill came more than two times more expensive than the same period of last year(without solar) I am not saving money at all! Each month of summer my bill gets higher! So frustrating!Horrible deal for mu pocket!
