Happy solar Customer

We have been a customer of Vivint Solar for a year now. When Jarret first came to our home we had been extremely skeptical of VIVINTs "pitch" that solar would cost use NOTHING. Yea sure, what is the catch? Well Jarret, who is extremely knowledgeable, explained it all, then showed us in writing. No intall cost, no maintenance costs, no fees, no taxes... ONLY .15 cents a KWH. Pay for the energy we make (make more than you use, and PSEG give you a credit). Oh and the government will give you a PPA credit (Power Purchase Agreement) on our taxes. yes..so you pay $.15 a KWH, to Vivint , at the end of the year the total of all your payments is added to your return. So that actually makes it LESS than .15 KWH. I am VERY happy we went solar!!!

Our salesperson, Marty Vieira, was eager and able to research our concerns (which were more than a few) and provide us with answers that convinced us to move forward with solar panels. We had previously spoken with a few solar companies that were either unable or unwilling to spend the time needed to answer our questions. That was definitely not the case with Marty. He was patient and did not pressure us. He made it clear that he wanted us to feel comfortable and confident with our decision. It made all the difference! We know that he worked with the design team to ensure that the 59 panels were aesthetically pleasing, which was also a concern and challenge. The installation team was awesome, as well. They completed the job quickly and left our home without a trace of debris. We're looking forward to being up and running and we highly recommend Vivint whenever possible.

In business today customer service goes a long way. Vivint has exceeded my expectations. All who we have dealt with have been extremely professional and showed such dedication to our project. We really felt like we were the only customer that they were dealing with. We especially value the professionalism of the sales people whom we started on this journey with. Jarret is highly recommended if you are in the Long Island area!

Fast and professional service

We are very happy with our system. The install was fast and professional. We were worried about some of the horror stories about leaky roofs after install but we do not have a single leak or issue after install. We are saving money with our very attractive solar system. Couldn't be happier.

Solar Installation Up & Running... or should I say Saving!

Kudos to our sales person, Richard Howell, for all his help and support. Each and every time we had a question or concern he was right there to help. Richard is curtious, friendly and knowledgeable. He understands the value of customer service. The solar process takes time, Vivint's crews got the work done quickly but the permitting process with National Grid and the town takes time. I don't believe this was Vivinit's fault. When Vivint comes they come as a crew to get it ALL done at once. National Grid has to send a different person out each time to get something done. There is no team or crew that comes to complete the system upgrade. One person comes for this and another person has to come for that. It's rediculous. Work releases get called in but if you don't check up on them they can sit unnoticed. Grid said they never received it, inspector said they called it in to the system. We learned that the hard way. Once I took charge and followed up things moved along. I ended up having to make my own contacts to Grid and with the help of our local inspectors it got done. They apparently respond faster to residents than to the solar companies. So if you enter into the process get the phone numbers and emails addresses and follow up. So the panels went on in March and here we are the end of June and we are finally producing kilowatts credits. So wrap your head around being patient and persistent. Many thanks to Darann Smith, our customer support rep, appreciate you always following through and guiding me along the way. So are we happy, absolutely...... did it take too long.....Yes! You would think that with today's technology permitting processes would be seamless and efficient. Why can't one person come from the power company to complete the work. Each step takes yet another week. Guess not but I don't believe that's the solar company's fault. Once someone signs on the only thing left is customer service, thank you Richard and Darann. Looking forward to years of savings. Sun's out and we already produced 50 kwh today. Meters running backwards is a good thing.

I am very Happy with Vivint. I am saving money! The first two months I haven't received an electric bill from national grid and I have negative credits with them. The installers were very professional and neat. They cleaned up after themselves. They also reinforced the attic at no charge to help me qualify. This whole process hasn't cost me anything! Mckenzie Watts is now helping me through the rest of the process and has been super helpful. I would highly recommend going solar with Vivint.

Solar just got turned on yesterday. Just in time for the hot summer weather. I can't say enough about Vivent Solar. Every person who came to my house from carpenters to electricians, solar panel installers and inspectors was so professional. The Vivent inspectors even came back twice to make sure that everything was ready for the city inspectors. Mckenzie Watts who coordinated the installation was right on top of things. She was wonderful to work with The down side for some folks would be that it is a very lengthy process. About 6 months. But since I knew this up front it really did not bother me. And as it turned out the job was actually completed about a month sooner than I expected I highly recommend Vivent Solar😎😎

Great Company, Great savings!

My system was designed to cover 98% of my power needs, dropping my bill from 156 to 98 a month. They took care of everything, I dont think people realize how much goes into getting solar, theres a huge C.A.D. team doing the designs and layouts, electral team designing where and how it will tie into the current breaker box, once I approved, they upgraded my power box for free, got city approval and permits also free to me, installed pannels the day we setup, and just like they told me, it took APS (local power company) about 2.5 months to actually turn on the system, which is out of vivints hands, so completely fine with me, because i wasnt charged till they were turned on. This company has done over 60,000 installs, and if just 1% of those customers wernt happy there would be Wayyy more negative reviews... as it stands, i recon about 0.2% of their customers have negative reviews.. the main prob is that happy people dont bother to write reviews. By far, this company has done way more good for people and the earth, in contrast to this website which would make you believe otherwise. Every single complaint with the BBB has been met to the customers satisfaction! And they have the lowest power rates in the entire NATION! 8.3cents per KWH! This company is awesome!

It's a good system I like it

it is a great money saver. I've had the system turned on for over a year. My total electric bills went down. A couple of my neighbors also went solar. I recommend to anyone that can do at there house as well.

3 years, no complaints

I had my install almost 3 years ago. The install was professional and trouble free. In the three years it's been operational I'd guess I saved about $1000/yr. We have very high rates here in central MA. It was a good decision for me.

Our rep explained that it would be a lengthy process to get the system up and running, but because our expectations were managed correctly, we are extremely happy! Vivint didn't over promise and under deliver. the rep explain the process, how they made their money, and how I much I could expect to save over the term of the agreement. My biggest concern was if I were to move, and Vivint truly is the only one that makes it easy. No strings attached. I love my savings, and I love being Green. They installed 42 Panels in one day, and were very respectful of me and my property. The rep showed up to just check in. Over all experience was very good.

The best part is we thought we were going to have to spend a lot of money to go solar, and we didn't pay any money up front and we save money on our electric bill each month.
