Awesome service and communication from start to finish!

In December, we found a very friendly Rep by the name of Bryce at our door. He told us about Vivint, and asked if we were interested in solar. We had looked a year before after we bought our home, only to realize it was too expensive. Vivint was different- they made it cost effective for us! A contractor came out and did an exact wattage measurement from our roof, and Bryce explained all the numbers from watts to timeline to price tag- without beating around the bush. My husband and I decided to go for it. Bryce was in communication with us every step of the way, from panel layout, installation (talk about fast work!), inspection, and the meter update through Duke Energy. If I could go back and do it again, I would hands down. Our new meter was finally installed today (the panels have been installed place since December, but between the holidays and inspection and Duke dragging their feet, the whole process took around 2 months.) and already we are seeing the numbers on the meter change, despite cloud coverage. It's atypical, but our panels should cover nearly 97% of our electric usage. We have a 1300 Sq ft home, and a giant oak in the neighbors yard that shades us for nearly 4 hours a day. If you're on the fence, just go for it and have Vivint check what going Solar could mean for you!

An Absolute Pleasure!

Vivint Solar is a wonderful company and a pleasure to work with. Our company representative, Tommy Court, was awesome; from start to finish he made sure to explain all the details, keep us informed of progress and was always available to answer any questions. The install itself was also quick and easy. ( I was also very pleased to find that the installers were quick but efficient.) I will be recommending Vivint to my friends and family!

Great Experience

I should start by saying I was a little hesitant to go with any solar company; especially just given the number of negative reviews. We decided to go with Vivint just given the positive interaction with their sales rep. They took care of everything from the initial site survey, scheduling the install and keeping in touch along the way to make sure things were moving forward. Even the installers had great communication on dates and times. We had them come out twice because originally being limited on daylight to get our panels installed. Overall we're really happy and couldn't be more happy.

I have never been more pleased with anything that we have ever done to our home. VIVINT SOLAR is an fabulous company and we had their District Manager - James Preece help us. He was extremely kind and took the time to explain anything we had questions about. I have never felt more satisfied with a product in my life. WE STRONGLY ENDORSE VIVINT SOLAR and SPECIFICALLY JAMES PREECE. We have seen a tremendous savings and my husband has checked every single month and totaled our yearly savings, and it was NO SURPRISE that James was honest and correct about everything that he told us. We did not have to pay anything for the system and the company maintains it all. Since the installation - James has called us to see how everything was working with our solar panels and if we had any questions. He even called to check on my husband after he got surgery. This company and their District Manager here in NY are nothing but a class act and I feel very fortunate to have met James and had the opportunity to take advantage of VIVINT SOLAR's wonderful cost free program. In fact James came by one day earlier this winter and shoveled all of the snow from our entire driveway. He just showed up, shoveled the entire driveway out, wrote a sweet note and left. Can't say enough good about the company and about Mr. Preece who is like family to us now.

Everything was explained fully everytime we asked, all questions were answered to make sure we understood, the install was very prompt and professional. Our Rep Chad even followed up to make sure all was still well. We can contact chad anytime and he responds anytime we need him.

Pleasantly surprised

We were contacted by Shane McCann from Vivint about putting solar panels on the roof of our home. Shane did a great job explaining what to expect and outlining the benefits of solar energy. Shane was not a high pressure salesman at all and allowed us time to consider all of the information he gave us before making our decision. After we decided to install solar, it only took a few weeks before the crew showed up for installation, and they completed it in just one day. They cleaned up the yard and there were no visible signs that they were even at the house when they were done. We are very happy with Vivint up to this point. They have taken care of every detail in each step of the process from financing to installation to inspection. If you are considering solar at all give Vivint a look. We are very pleased with them.

Fantastic service & great communication

My Vivint Solar representative was Clint Rawlings. He was very well prepared and extremely knowledgeable. Clint was very personable and could answer all our questions on site. I would highly recommend Clint to any future prospects.

The best customer service person ever

James Preece is one of the best customer service reps I know. One day I was at Lepages Market in Cohoes New York he was there advertising for vivint. Having in a horrible experience with vivint in the past I was quick to tell people in the store not to go with solar or this company. James was very quick to ask me why I was so upset with this company. I explained to him and X employee from vivint came to my house took all the information and never contact me ever again even after many calls. Which is truth in record. James took it upon himself to contact me again and fix things for this company in short we are now getting solar panels with the easiest painless work on my behalf ever he made it so easy I doubted the entire process thinking it would be a repeat. In less than two weeks he calls back and says we are approved. He was happy you can only imagine how happy I was. I was in shock my family is still in shock.James Preece irreplaceable as customer service tech. Let's be honest I was not going to go for another solar install with any solor company . James made it all possible for my family.

Love saving energy and money!

It was a big decision to go solar. We wanted to save money and not have an upfront cost. Our rep Danae was very personable and transparent with Vivint and their solar product. Our electric panel needed to be upgraded before being accepted SO Vivint stepped up and paid for the project. This saved us over $2000. The day of installation went very smoothly. They arrived on time, were polite, answered all my questions, neat and clean. We were installed in July 21016 and already I see a big difference in my Pseg bill. Vivint is the best decision we've made to save energy and save money. Anyone have questions, just ask us! Good luck!
